Forcing a reply format

Hi everyone
I was wandering if there is a way to have a part of the body of a message to be auto-generated for the receipent of my e-mail as such as he would only need to fill in the blank?
As an example, I would send a welcoming message to my new employe and when I come to reply it automaticly hads the text " Good day Francis" at the beginning of his message.
I know there might be some compatibility issue if there is different different version of outlook used but at first I was looking to know if such an option existed

I need a way to force all user's reply format to be the same (use of the expanded reply headers with Subject, From, To, etc...). I was thinking to write a Formativ Applet that launches on Compose and sets the reply format for the user, or something that sets it at the post office level. your GroupWise system. Does this happen in WebAccess as well?
I would look at GWIA logs to check there aren't any errors generating
when receiving those messages, perhaps increasing the logging level along
the way. I would also take a close look at the "Message Source" of those
messages as it sounds like there is something not quite matching the
applicable standards that is messing things up. Compare to messages that
are coming in normally.

Normally if anyone buys an apple product (mac) , it comes with a built-in-apps that should be considered ( built in ) , Then why when the mac faces a mistake or an error that forces it to format , these apps don't show up ? etc : iMovie , garageband

So does it really make sense that i should buy these apps again after i already payed an extra amount of money in the first place to get a model that includes them ??
after formatting my mac these apps should be there like its a whole new device that i opened !!!

Printer forcing the paper format

Hi ,
A SAP script form which has the format of a DIN4 is being printed out in a printer which has US letter settings. The margins have been accomodated such that the content is visible if printed in both the US letter as well as DINA4 formats. However the printer is being forced to re set the settings from US letter to A4. Has any one encountered this before and how to resolve this without changing the SAPscirpt Paper format (DINA4).

Forcing RGB24 color format instead of YUV12

Hi,
I have problems with the colors when capturing from an Avermedia card (Conexant chipset). I have made several test and I am able to reprocude the same behaviour when usen VLC capturing in YUV12 color format. When I use RGB24 in VLC the colors are rigth.
It seems to me that FMLE is capturing in YUV12 (also from what I have read in the forums), but in the FAQs says that it supports RGB24 capture cards. Is there any way of force FMLE to use RGB24?

Reply format?

Hello
Is there any method in Javamail that changes the format of a message to something that is being replied to? Something like when you click reply on yahoo mail and the message gets a vertical line on the left side of it and a horizontal line on top of it. And than you can write your reply on top of that.Basically I'm writing a mail client and working on the reply feature and not sure if there is already a built in method for it. Please let me know.

I am having an issue with my Droid Charge when replying to an email using an Exchange account.

Can I set up Entourage-like reply formatting in Mail.app?

I just switched to Mac Mail.app (and iCal, etc.) from Entourage. In Entourage, I liked using the "Reply & Forward: Mail Attribution" preference that states:
"Place reply at the top of message and include From, Date, To, and Subject lines from original message".
I greatly prefer this formatting to the "on [Date], [Name] <Address> wrote:" style that seems to be the only option in Mail.app (10.5.1)
i.e. I prefer the messages in my e-mail thread to be separated by headers that look like this:

How to stop a thread forcefully. do reply urgent

i would like to stop the thread . i have used stop() method and also i have tested by giving the threadname = null. but these two not worked . how to stop thread forcefully. urgent.

There is no direct way to stop the thread forcefully. If you have implemented the thread, modify the code so as to break on some flag.
i.e.
public void run()
while (keepRunning)
...do some stuff here
and provide some way to set the boolean keepRunning as false. The loop will exit and the thread will also be destroyed.

Computer and Recover program won't boot after virus forces me to format C: drive.

I recently got the MS antispyware 2009 virus which made me lose my internet, task manager, regedit, disk management, and rpc server. It also made my settings all retarded. I had the classic start up screen, and classic windows screens and taskbar. Even though I had my settings set to the newer windows settings. I tried to use the rescue and recovery program from windows and had no success in recovering. I also tried pressing F11 during startup to try and enter the rescue and recovery program again with no success. And by that I mean I couldn't enter the program. I got tired of troubleshooting and said screw it and opened partition manager and tried formatting my c: drive. I tried to do it from my computer but I couldn't. I turned my computer back on and it wont boot anything. It shows the think center screen and then goes to a blank black screen. F11 still doesn't work and I'm now at a stand still. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a similar probem,due to some virus my whole Think program got deleted including many other files and no chanse for recovery.
I thought of formating and reinstaling Xp but the cd dosen't boot.It comes to the ThinkCenter screen then the curser flashes and the error as follows "error Loading Operating System".Im searching the whole site to find solution since 2 days.I don't even have a recovery cd as the PC was second hand.Please hep.

Mail v2.1 reply format

First an apology: I have asked this before but now cannot find the answer no matter how hard I search, thus conforming a) my stupidity and b) my carelessness.
When I reply to an email, the existing text and information on the incming email start on the line immediately below my own reply text so i have to remeber to add a couple of carriage returns to "tidy" it up,
No real sweat but I am by nature lazy so I'd like those couple of carriage returns automatically inserted when I am typing. I'm also senile and often forget untill the split second after I've hit send!
Someone has previously given me the edit hack to do it but, as I say, I have stupidly lost the advice.
Can anyone help?
And if you were the original responder, please accept my apologies for my stupidity and failed filing system.

Hmmm, I'd start by using Font book and check for bad/duplicate Font's .
Have you viewed the Raw Source of these problem ones for clues like... Content-Type: text/plain?
Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.

Mountain Lion Mail Server force reply to address

Using Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 server and the built in Mail Server.
I want to use a group mail (mail listing) for a lodge. My problem is that people tend to use reply to all when replying to a message in the group. Every time a user uses reply to all, another recipient is added to the thread ending up with a lot double mails.
I have tried to make my fellow lodge members only to use the common group mail address when replying, but without luck. I have also tried to make them setup a specific reply-to address (our group e-mail address), but they are far from computer experts.
My question! Is there anyway to have the OS X Mail Server (or another mail server for OS X) force a reply to address for users using POP3?

Many thanks for your input. I did it the way you describe it.
But meanwhile I found the real reason, and aI'd like to share it with others.
If you created a local network user in the user section, this user is created in the OD.
When creating this user I like to use the initials as shortname.
My emaildresses however are configured as [email protected]
When Postfix is searching the OD for a user he searches for " firstname.lastname" and if during the user creation you omit to give this as a shortname as well, Postfix can never find this user.
So I went to all accounts, added the "firstname.lastname" combination to the shortname (the initials are kept for easy login reasons), and suddenly email is correctly routed to the users.
Seems very stupid, but t was hard to find and took me a lot of time.
So problem solved.
Now back to Apple:
If Postfix is looking at the sequence before the @, than it would seem logic to me that when we created users in the users section or in Workgroup Manager, and when we define emailaddresses, the sequence before the @ would be added automatically to the shortname list where Postfix is searching. Now we have to do this manualy.
For experienced users it's no big deal, but for novices who want to setup things it's not obvious at all.
For me there is clear improvement potential for Apple.

Hi, just update your extensions ( "Change quote and reply format 0.8.1" has to be installed an to be active) by using the updating-function for extensions integrated in Thunderbird.
