Forcing mobile ActiveSync clients to re-initiate Autodiscover process

Is there a way on the Exchange server to force all connected mobile ActiveSync clients to reinitiate the autodiscovery process?
We would like to change the "External URL" in the Exchange Client Access Server configuration for ActiveSync and have that pushed out to all the existing mobile clients so that they receive mail using the new URL.
We understand that if new phones are added, they will get the new URL via autodiscover, but is there a way for all the existing phones to get updated without removing and re-adding the account.

No. As long as the existing URL they are using is valid, they will continue to use it unless they create a new profile.

Nokia mobile VPN Client - split tunneling

Hi
I'm trying to get Nokia mobile CPN Client working with split tunneling on a Cisco firewall.
I have full access to all on my internal lan's when I make the VPN tunnel, so tunnel is up and working.
But I do not have access to anything in the internet, it tries to route internet requests through the VPN. I have set split tunneling on the Cisco firewall and it is working as intended on all other devices.
Any ideas of what I have missed?
My policy is based on the bundled Cisco_ASA_pskxauth.pol from the Nokia mobile VPN Client Policy Tool.

Mobile Sync Client does not save password properly

The Mobile Sync Client (simple_sync_android application provided with Oracle DMS) does not appear to save password correctly. When you select the checkbox to Save Password, my guess is that it stores an encrypted password but then does not return the decrypted version of the password. As a result login fails with the error
Encountered error: Server error, id = 2,001: "USER_INVALID in external auth; logon denied."

It should ask for username and password but It doesn't happen.
In the logs there are some errors like this:
Received an error response from vpn gateway error code 29
and the last error is always like this one:
Error: Failed to activate VPN access point 'SecurityKISS', reason code -5258
that should stand for "IKE negotiation with gateway failed because there was no acceptable proposal".
So, what it's wrong in my configuration? There's someone able to help me with this configuration?

I moved futher with change of configuration on the router and no I get IP from virtual pool but unable to get any further as IPSEC does not negotiate.

When I run the debug on the router, I am getting IP address from the pool which actually also shows up on the phone (n85). It should that VPN is activated also on the phone followed by another message that it is deactivated. I used Nokia VPN Client policy tool to create the policy with following

Hi All,
i got error while activating the Data Object: "Mobile java client attributes not maintained".
how to resolve this error, and why this error is coming?
I am migrating the MI 2.5 application into the MI 7.1 application.In new MI 7.1 application some synbo's are imported using the text file and some new data objects are created. Imported synbo's are activated successfully, but newly created objects are not activated because of the above error.
Can we solve above error or is there any restriction that in Migration project ( project with backward compatibility ) we can't create new Data objects?

Web Service
In .Net I have created WCF services. What is the Java equivalent? Is it EJB?Definitely not EJB. The closest would be web services or RPC
Data Synchronisation
.Net has a Sync Framework. Basically it allows you to synchronise data from a main database (usually SQL Server) to a database on the mobile device (usually SQL Server CE). Is there a Java equivalent?My impression is not that this is specifically .NET, or at least not something you have to write code against. It's a service that you buy and deploy, right?
UI and UI Markup
The last time I used Java, Swing was what was used. Is that still the case? Is there a Java equivalent of Xaml? Xaml is an Xml like markup language which Microsoft uses for defining UI. It is very useful.There is no xaml equivalent. Swing it is as far as I know.
Data/Business Layer Utility
Is there are tool which will allow you to point at a data structure and pump out class files which reflect the database's structure? .Net has something called Entity Framework for this.Sounds like a job for Hibernate or similar ORM tool to me.
Auto Generation of Web Services
This is related to the first item Web Service, and the above item. Is there a way to pump out the services services automatically? In .Net I have written libraries that pump out Web Methods for saving, loading and deleting records in each of the tables in the database. Microsoft has something called RIA Architecture for this. Is there an equivalent in Java? I have no comment on this.

Lync mobile W8 client unable to process a call on Nokia lumia 920 A&TT

I have and end user that can use all other functionality of the lync mobile client it just will not process a call.
The logs from the phone are not very helpful....
I have others with newer nokia lumia 9xx devices that work.
They are on verizon.
The user does not see "Cert errors" when trying to go to our external web link.

From your description, it seems the issue only happen for one mobile client.
If it is the case, please login to other mobile Lync client with the issued Lync account to check if the issue happen with Lync account.
For the issued mobile, please try to update to the latest version of Lync mobile client and then test again.

Forcing Cisco VPN client to use NAT-T

Is there a way to force the VPN client to use NAT-T when the device isn't NATed but ESP is otherwise blocked?
My VPN client connects but tries to use ESP, even though IPSec over UDP is selected, after detecting that no NAT is taking place.

Thanks. Using Linux's 'vpnc' as the VPN client provides a "force-natt" option which does the trick so a little disappointed I can't do it with the Cisco client.
I also found references to a feature request #CSCdz58488 so I thought it may have been implemented in the current VPN client.

How can I force a DHCP client to renew its IP address??

Hi to all,
I have installed in a customer, a Cisco 2801 who has configured a DHCP pool. This router takes a reload every month (by maintenance purposes), when it is up (in the network we have AVAYA phones working fine, it's a call center), this phones takes a reload to renew the ip, which is assigned by the DHCP pool.
The problem is when some phones try to renew its IP address (after the router reload), the phone detects a IP conflict an it forces a reload. This reload normally is in production hours, the agents lose their phones and they can't work......
There is some option to force the DHCP client to do a IP renewal from the DHCP server???

First of all you should investigate what is going so horribly wrong in your network that you have to reload your router every month (and even worse in production hour). If it's an instability, have you tried to update to a newer IOS-version?
Regarding your DHCP-problem. For that you just have to configure your DHCP-server correctly by specifying a database-agent:

With this function the router stores all bindings and knows (also after a reload) which addresses are already assigned to which system.
