Forcing mono out

I have a Audigy 2 zs platinum pro. Is there any easy way to force it to ouput mono sound to the spdif? i.e Left channel -> both channel or right channel ->both channel?

Trackstarr,
I do not know what the problem is on your system. Here is what I just did:
1. I chose a bounce Output and yes the choices are all stereo so I clicked on the double circle (stereo) to change is to a single circle (mono).
2. I clicked on the word "Bnce" on the channel strip and it opened the dialog box. Where before there were stereo choices now it is grayed out implying that it is mono.
3. I bounced the file and looked at it on the Audio Window and sure enough it is mono.

  • Where can I see the Force-Move-out field?

    Hi ,
Can anyone tell me in which table and field the Forced Move-Out. I know I can find the move-out at EVER-AUSZDAT. But I want to know the table and field for forced moved and dunning move-out.
    Thanks
    Dan

    Hi DanRyan,
Forced Move-Out happens when a customer has not moved out and Moved in a new customer to the same service. In this case, system will create a Move Out for old customer and create a Move in for the new customer.
This new feature is available when we create Move In through T-Code EC70 (which creates a park Document) and the forced Moved In field is available in table ECAMIOPRCI.
Any doubt, please let me know.

  • Is there a way to force audio out through the Thunderbolt port?

I am trying to connect a 15" MacBook Pro to an InFocus 3916 using a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.
I know that the computer, adapters, and cables I am using support audio over HDMI.
I have tested 4 separate adapters, 2 cables, and 2 computers, all of them work when hooked up to a Samsung HD TV.
I know the Projector supports audio over HDMI, because I plugged a Apple TV into the projector using the same cable, and it worked fine.
When I am using the Samsung HD TV: System Preferences->Sound->Output shows "Samsung" in the choices of outputs.
When I try using any of the three Infocus Projectors, it only shows the internal audio.
I have tried resetting the PRAM, and SMC. I have tried plugging in an audio cable to my computer to force a refresh of the Sound Preference Pane... I have tried turning on and off the projector.
At this point I am trying to find a way to force Mac OS X to recognize the Projector as an audio output... Or at least to force the computer to think there is something there, so that it will push sound out the thunderbolt port.

I working on my first threaded program and having a hard time debugging. I've used System.out.println to let me know what's going on but due (I assume) to the nature of threads the output is not sequential. Is there a way to force println to execute immediatly so that they show up in the order they were called?
    Thanks --- Mike

  • How to force checked out CSV Files to open in Excel and not in Notepad

    Hi,
I'm looking for some pointers / direction.
.CSV files on SharePoint 2010 document library opens up in notepad by default. I did the DocIcon.xml CSV entry, changed the MIME type in IIS and did the IIS reset. Also on client computer CSV file is associated with MS Excel 2013. Now clicking a CSV file
opens it up in MS Excel.
Now a user checks out a CSV file and the same user clicks on the CSV file, the file is opening in notepad! If other users clicks on the same checked out file (checked out by the first user) it opens up in Excel for them. I've tried the 'Edit in Microsoft
Excel' from the pop up menu but with same result.
How can I force a checked out CSV file to open in MS Excel?
    Thanks

    1. Highlight one of the images and press cmd+i (or right click and select "Get info")
    2. Click the dropdown menu and select Photoshop (you might have to click "Other..." to find it.
    3. Then click "Change All" button below.
You're going to have to do this with every different TYPE of image (e.g. jpeg, tiff etc) but once you've covered all the types you won't have the problem again.
    Hope this helps!

  • How can I force a out-of-date client to do a sync with master?

I use 'DB_REPMGR_ACKS_NONE' for some clients which locate in different areas. But sometimes the network is not that good, and causes the client data out-of-date.
    My question is that:
    1. Is there a api that can do a manual sync without restarting the deamon? It seems 'DB_ENV->rep_sync' does not work. I know if I restart the client deamon, I can do it. But if I not?
    2. If I continue to put lots of data on a master, it seems the client can catch up with master because I found that the 'next_lsn' of client is same with master. But if I only put some small data on a master, the 'next_lsn' of client still fall behind..Can you tell why?
    Here's my environment:
    Linux
    db-4.6.21
    using repmgr, not base api
    Regards,
    Steve

    Hi Steve,
There is no API for on-demand synchronization with the master. The
rep_sync method is for something else. Please read about
    "Synchronizing with a master":
db-4.6.21/docs/ref/rep/mastersync.htmlThe only way to force resychronization on demand is to close the
    environment and open it again.
A replication client checks the log sequence number of each incoming
log record, and can detect gaps in the sequence. If some log records
are lost due to network problems, then when later log records arrive
the client detects the missing records.
Generally the client will then request a new copy of the missing log
records from the master. However, it does not do so immediately,
because a perceived gap in the sequence of log records could instead
be nothing more than the fact that incoming log records can sometimes
be processed out of order. (Log record messages can also be
transmitted out of sequence in some network environments that don't
use TCP/IP -- but if you're using repmgr that is of course not the
    case.)
Instead, the client waits for some number of out-of-sequence log
records before issuing the request for retransmission. One thing that
you can do is to tune the parameters governing this gap processing
algorithm. However, most users should not need to do this.

  • Forcing full outer join between two facts according to common dimensions

Hi everyone,I have an issue with the way obiee "joins" 2 fact tables regarding according to common dimensions.
    Let's assume 2 fact tables F1 and F2 and 2 dimension D1 and D2.
Fi is joined to Dj thanks to IDs.
    F1 and F2 have got aggregates sum(mes1), respectively sum(mes2).
The group by is performed on dim1 for D1 and dim2 for D2.
The following 2 queries work fine...but separately:
    select dim1, dim2, sum(mes1) from F1, D1, D2 where ... group by dim1, dim2; //7 lines
    select dim1, dim2, sum(mes2) from F2, D1, D2 where ... group by dim1, dim2; //8 lines
When I try to select dim1, dim2, sum(mes1) and sum(mes2), the following sql is created by the BI server:
    WITH SAWITH0 AS (
    select dim1, dim2, sum(mes1) c3 from F1, D1, D2 where ... group by dim1, dim2
    ), SAWITH1 AS (
    select dim1, dim2, sum(mes2) c3 from F2, D1, D2 where ... group by dim1, dim2
    select ... dim1,
         ... dim2,
         ... SAWITH0.c3,
         ... SAWITH1.c3
FROM SAWITH0 LEFT OUTER JOIN SAWITH1
         on SAWITH0.dim1=SAWITH1.dim1 and SAWITH0.dim2=SAWITH1.dim2
I get only 7 lines. It means I miss one line from the second query on F2.
The solution is to perform a full outer join. (I tried in TOAD and changing LEFT by FULL is ok)
How can I force the full outer join?
    Thanks a lot!

If you use the fact vertical capabilities of OBIEE, it will normally perform a full outer join :
    http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dat/obiee/logical_sql/obiee_full_outer_join
Check here for an example (replace the fact cross join by your second fact table F2)

  • Mono outs in channel strip possible?

i have created a couple of mono output channels in my audio mixer, but they are still showing up as stereo channels in the channel strip. i want to be able to set tracks to output to mono channels 5 OR 6, not stereo channel 5-6.

that's what i thought but then i only got it out of the left channel. on second glance i still had my hardware mixer channels panned hard left and right setup for my old card.......oops.
new computer + new interface + new sequencer = utter chaos.

  • Forced log out

Strangest thing just happened to me...
I was quietly and quickly logged out by the OS. That's it. I was working, the screen faded out, then I was shown my login screen. It exhibited the same behavior when I drag my cursor to a hot corner to activate my screensaver. I even logged back in thinking I had done that, but all my apps were closed, as if I just started up from a fresh bootup. It logged me out! All my once-open apps were closed, files gone, quietly, quickly...like a snow leopard would do.
There wasn't any commotion or anything. Based on the timestamps, here are the last few messages noted in Console:

This was totally weird. I have no idea why this would happen.

If the Cisco NAC Appliance system somehow terminates the OOB client session (if the system administrator is forced to "kick" the user out, for example) and the switch changes the VLAN assignment for the client's access port from the Access VLAN back to the Authentication VLAN, the client machine discovers the VLAN change and automatically initiates an IP address refresh/renew to ensure the user stays connected to the network.

  • Force audio out laptop's USB for outboard DAC?

I have an HP laptop running the Realtek HD audio driver 6.0.1.5869. I use this laptop as a frontend to a home entertainment system that includes a high-end audio/video receiver (featuring Burr-Brown DACs). When streaming audio, I would like to force the audio output from the laptop through its USB port and on to an open set of Yamaha. I intend to do this by way of a male USB to male RCA cable (commonly available).
How can I achieve this using the Realtek software user-interface? If I click the [Digital Output] tab and select [Set Default Device], will this suffice?

I am by no means an expert with your audio equipment.
The USB ports themselves, by default, are not recognized as audio outputs.
If the external audio device you are connecting with a USB-RCA cable is not recognized as a n audio device (it more than likely will not be), then it more than likely will not. Of course, I do not have access to this exact setup to test and confirm.
To see what sound devices are available as an output, you can go to the Start menu, search for Sound, and open this result in the control panel category.
Once that opens, the available output devices will be listed. You may need to right-click in the Sound window to get the option to view disabled or disconnected devices. Just make sure to do this with the USB/RCA cable connected to your desired output device.
In a quick search for DAC, I did find this. It looks like this DAC works by using a USB-A to USB-B cable to connect the device to a PC and then has RCA out jacks to connect to an audio system. This seems more of the optimal configuration to accomplish this task.
Review this document document to get an idea of what the Sound panel should look like in Windows with the DAC properly detected and available as an output. I know this is not your equipment, but Windows Sound panel should work in the same way for all sound equipment that it is compatible with.

  • Force log out

    Hi,
Is there a way to force a user to automatically log out without quitting all running applications afetre a period of inactivity ?
    Thanks in advance.

By definition, logging out will quit all running applications. That's what logging out means.
By reading your link, what you seem to want is to have original account still logged in, with all documents still open and programs still running, but after a period of inactivity, have the login window brought to the front. That way other users will see the login window and can log in themselves. Is that right?
If so, this screensaver can do that:
    http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15090/ciao
You will need to enable fast user switching first.
Another thing you can do is to just set a screen saver lock. When other users try to wake up your screen, they will be presented with a "switch user" button, which will take them to the login window, from where they can log in to their own accounts.
