Forcing Window/View to front of other windows ?

Is there a way to code a webdynpro to force the window and view it is working in to the front of other windows currently running ? The program which is called from an ABAP report program is being brought up in a background window - and I was hoping to force it to the foreground somehow...
This question arises out of an attempt to start a webdynpro within the portal framework from an abap program via a url call from the class cl_gui_frontend_services (this class supported SSO -as opposed to Call_browser - which caused other problems...) I will be posting a question to the abap-general forum as well to question the calls - but I am hoping there is an answer on the webdynpro java side.

Firefox 5 window stays on top of other windows

On an old Windows XP SP3 system, in the last few days, Firefox 5 window always stays on top of other windows that I may have open. In order to see the other windows (applications) that I have open, I must minimize Firefox 5. In the past, clicking on the title bar of any other window/application, would bring it to the front, but that does not happen now; clicking on a title bar other than Firefox 5 does focus the other title bar and Firefox 5 title bar does change to the non-focused color, but the other window/application does not come to the front (over Firefox 5).
This has just occurred in the last few days. I have added no new programs and no new extensions to Firefox, but several Firefox add-ons have been updated.

"Window" drop-down shows no windows, if it's the 'primary' window; works fine with all other windows.

The first time I opened Firefox after the 'upgrade' to 34.0.5, it restored all of my windows and tabs from the previous session, as it should. But the Window drop-down showed only "Minimize" and "Zoom", and didn't list any windows, not even the one I was in (I'll call it the 'primary', since it's the one that was listed first). If all of the windows were minimized, I would have nothing, but once I made a new window, all of the windows would show up in the Window drop-down. After some trial-and-error, it appears to happen *only* when the active window is the 'primary', it works fine when any other window is active.
How can this be fixed?

As I stated I already did this and it was not helpful. The drive is not near capacity, but I could not give you an exact answer on how full it is. I know my data is still there as I can see items but just cannot access any windows or menu items as no text is displayed.

Why does firefox keeps forcing itself on top of all other windows? it doesn't matter what website im on, it always does it! Really gets on my nerves when im watching a video only to have it minimized and firefox slammed in my face lol...

It's not to do with what website I'm on - Firefox ALWAYS does this even if I just have a blank tab open! Seems to happen in ubuntu and windows 7. Does anyone know why this is??

Why can't I connect one Windows 8.1 PC to other Windows 8.1 PCs in my workgroup when using a Microsoft Account?

I finally decided to convert some of my local accounts to Microsoft Accounts on my Windows 8.1 PCs. Big mistake to this point.
I have two PC's with the same Microsoft Account set up, neither PC can browse to the other or map a drive through browsing.
I'm not using a homegroup. My daughter has one setup on her laptop and desktop, and I don't want my PC's on her homegroup. Until Microsoft makes it possible to have 2 homegroups on the same subnet, this is not an option.
The local accounts on both PC's have no problem browsing, mapping, etc. I can connect to the other PC's just fine using local accounts, so I know physical connectivity isn't an issue, neither is my anti-virus or really anything else system wide on either
computer.
I just can't attach automatically using a Microsoft Account. I have to manually map a drive every logon/reboot.
I have also found that running a logon script doesn't work. The drives will not map automatically.
The Microsoft Account users can map a drive using "Connect using different credentials." However, the credentials don't hold across reboots.
I can manually (using either a Microsoft Account or a local account) map a drive using "net use" which then opens up all of my mapped drives and allows for browsing to the other PC. However, this doesn't work across reboots/logons either.
Entering credentials in the Credentials Manager (Whether I use the Microsoft Account credentials or one of the local user credentials) doesn't work across reboots either.
Yes, I have the same Microsoft Account setup on both PCs. I have tried giving them both Admin and Standard user rights on both PCs.
I have turned off UAC as recommended in some posts.
Again - This problem is ONLY related to MICROSOFT ACCOUNTS, not local accounts.
I have put a batch file on the desktop with a "net use" statement in it to connect as a work around, but this is very annoying and truly unacceptable. Is there anyway to make this work seamlessly without running a batch file or something else where
the password exists on the PC in clear text?
I can't find other posts asking this question - am I the only one who is trying to do this? What memo did I miss?

I have test in my own environment and can normally map the network driver when logon as Microsoft account.
Do you check the option Reconnect at logon?
If you use Connect using different credentials, do you check the option Remenber my credentials?

Your question doesnt specify what kind of errors are there on DC 2012. Try to resolve those errors.
Incase the server cannot be remediated, you can demote the server from being a DC.

Save/Restore Window content when hidden by other window

I developed a swing application under UNIX/Linux.
I have the problem, that the window content is not saved, when the window was hidden by another window. As soon as the swing window becomes (partly) visible again, paint() will be called, instead of restoring the previous content.
I know, that the XServer has this possibility to save the window content. How can I configure this behaviour under Java/Swing?
I tried do emulate this behaviour by first drawing into an offscreen buffer and then place this buffered image onto the frame, but it takes a lot of time and results in undesireable delays.

I would most like suggest that you open a support ticket. It sounds as though something is wrong with the rendering output. You shouldn't really be able to create such an incorrect rendering situation in the closed Web Dynpro framework.

IE11 issue on windows 10, not reproducible on other windows versions.

we try to change the proxy setting to have a pac file , but the change does not take affect .
the scenario is :
1. IE reads the AutoConfigUrl setting, which is OK
2. IE even does not attempts to load the jsporxy.dll - a component responsible for pac file handling
3. In fact, IE even doesn't read the appropriate part of registry (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AutoProxyTypes)
It looks rather a bug in IE (or in windows installation) than something related to our product.

Window View Options saved without having to manually set each one of them?

I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard from Tiger.
Okay, why do my finder window views change across all finder windows once I change the view of one? I prefer to have some windows to be viewable by icon, but I want some to be viewed as a list. In Tiger, my settings for every folder that I opened were saved specifically to the folder based on how I last viewed them. Under Snow Leopard, when I open one folder and get List view, I change it to Icon view only to have every other folder automatically set to Icon view. It's like I have to manually save every single finder winow with the preference I want to view it in, whereas Tiger automaticaly remembered how I last viewed each window. This is quite annoying.

The inherit thing is not, and I repeat not, quite the same behavior in versions before Snow Leopard.
Not exactly, no; but the principle is the same: the child inherits the parent's characteristics.
In OS 9 it was even more so in at least one way - if you changed the size/shape of the parent folder's window (making it tall and narrow, for example), the initial window for a folder created thereafter in the parent folder would match the altered size/shape of the parent. That doesn't happen in Lion, maybe not in Snow Leopard (can't boot into it right now to check).
I go back to '86 on Macs, to a Mac Plus. I've used every OS version from then up through OS 9.2.2, including all point updates. I've owned most generations of Macs, with the glaring exceptions of the G3 Beige/Platinum models and the G5 models.
I think my favorite OS is OS 9.1. I stayed using OS 9.1 (on a G4 (DA) model) for as long as I could - its software still does what it used to do, and I still use that machine for a lot of things. What made me finally get a newer machine running OS X was the net - too many sites, like BBC, became unavailable with OS 9. I jumped straight from OS 9 to Snow Leopard, skipping the intermediates.
Frankly, I don't like OS X all that much. It's too pre-defined, not enough customizations available - like the creators of it felt like they had better knowledge of what my workflow needs are than I do.
And, an alert in case you haven't come across it yet - in Lion there is no Save (beyond an initial Save wherein you name and place the doc) or Save As (none at all). "Save" is automatic now - you can no longer close a doc and choose to not save changes as a quickie undo; however, you can revert to previous versions if you happened to remember to 'Save a Version' before making changes to the doc. There is a Duplicate menu item which can lead to the same result as a Save As - but takes more steps to get there. Nuts. I can see no improvement in these changes, no increase in convenience, no reason for them at all.
But there they are. And, I expect that in time I'll get used to a change in the way I do things. But I do not like having that change mandated.

Get Flash Player To Play On Top Of Other Windows

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on a Dell XPS 8100 with Intel i7 Processor. I am using Windows Live Mail and a Hotmail Live Account for my email. When I click on a link to a video in an email Adobe Flash Player always plays underneath the open windows necessitating my minimizing the other windows to view the video. Other than that Flash Player works great. I am using Mozilla Firefox as my default browser. IE 9 is my other browser. All browsers, Flash Player, and the ATI Radeon 5700 video card are up to date. I have now isolated this playing on bottom to swf files. Every time my friends with Macs send email attachments I get this. I don't have a solution yet, but the Jpegs and Videos are playing nicely on the bottom window. I just minimize the windows on top for now. I hope to solve this issue even though no viewers of my post so far have come up with a solution.

I loved the multi windows view in the previous iOS prior to upgrading to iOS5, is that view no longer available?

I assume that you are talking about the Safari browser. Safari now uses tabs and the mutliple windows feature is gone.
There are other browsers - iCab Mobile is one - that do have a similar feature to the mutiple windows view in Safari.

There r two ways ways to display image.
1)As background image
2)using graphic node.
To display image as background.
click on page node.
choose background picture options
enter the path of the image.enter the resolution and output mode in the output attributes.
enter the horizontal and vertical positions where the image to be displayed in the page.
To display image using Graphic node.
Add a graphic node into the window where u want the image to be displayed.
In the General attribute enter the path and the resolution.

Is there a way to view just one open Finder window (without any other Finder or other application windows coming into view) from a Desktop hot corner in Yosemite?

I just upgraded to Yosemite from Snow Leopard on a MacBook Pro. Previously, I could view just one open Finder window by viewing the Desktop via a hot corner and then selecting Finder from the Dock. This would pull only the top Finder winder into view, without showing any other open Finder windows, and most importantly, any other open application windows. I could then easily drag files/folder from my Desktop into the Finder window (which I do A LOT). Since upgrading to Yosemite, whenever I use the Desktop hot corner and select Finder from the Dock, it pulls every open application and Finder window back into view, putting Finder in front.
Is there any way to view just one already open Finder window (or all Finder windows for that matter) without seeing all other open applications, without having to Hide the other applications or using Spaces?

Yes I've created an Automator Application that does the job, but the "watch me do" function that does the Mail Merge is a rather Clunkey work around, as the mouse moves all over the place, thats the part i want to remove and replace with a script, or work out a different way around it that avoids the "watch me do" function.
Is this Possible? or where/who is there i can ask to write me a script, im not a novice to scripting, but i am a novice to Applescript.

Finder windows not coming to front and other issues

Hey Guys,
I've been having some issues with finder not coming to the front when clicking on the Finder icon on the dock, like it used to.
Also, if I have a finder window on the front, and I click to an application behind it, the application doesn't come back in front again.
Anyone else having these issues, anyone know of a fix? Not sure if it's related, but in the force quit window, finder is shown twice?
It's happening on both my macbook pro and my mac pro, both running mavericks.

Every time I click a folder arrow to open...finder reframes my window view. And other finder problems

When using the finder windows sorted either by name or date modifed, when I click a folder arrow, the window reframes to the center (or some other spot) that means I need to scroll back to the folder. When I change an item in a folder when sorted by date modfied, it of course moves to the top, but my window view stays centered where I am, and I have to scroll to the top to find the folder I'm working on. Both situations have the feel of "what I'm working on just dissappeared". I have become used to it, but it is one of the things in Lion that I hate. Is there a workaround...a way to keep the finder window view where it is when I click the open folder arrow, or to reframe to the top if I make a folder change and have the sort set by date modifed?
Mail behaves in the same manner where the view of read and unread wildly scrolls itself when clicking an unread mail. I have tamed this by creating a smart mailbox of unread e-mail, but it seems to be some system wide preference for an unknown sort view that I would like to fix.
Also, when I choose the sort by label option in the finder window, all the red pops to the top, but then all the other labels are scattered and not sorted as a for instance...
Perhaps this is fixed in Mountain Lion?
