Forecast/Planned Indepedent Requirements question

Hi SAP Experts
Is there a report in SAP that shows me Planned Independent Requirements and the Consumption (Shipped) of the planned quantities and the Assignment of future quantities?
MD73 shows me this by Material.
Need a Plant only as input and details for that Plant.

Pls try following
Use table Along with PBIM and PBED tables, include PBHI - Independant requiremnts history and check
First use PBHI to get Reqmts pointer, then entry Reqmts pointer to get other information via PBIM or PBED
Also check ;
Standard Report for PIR /Purchasing inforecord condition records.
Hi
The standard report MCRE can show the requirement quantity and withdrawn quantities, this is a report of information system.
Please make sure that the corresponding info structures S026 and S226 is set to be updated in customization OMOD.
The report read the data from the 2 tables S026 and S226 and they are updated when the requirement quantitis are created by production orders and they are issued.

I dont think this is possible. You may have to extend the standard simulation program for scheduling to include the Components. You will also have to call the material availability check FM to analyse the demand for the required date.
Even then there is no guarantee for material availability when the Order is actually called.

Forecast planning function in IP

Dear All
We have a requirement like forecasting future prices for next year on monthly basis.
Data of prices for the past 3 years on monthly basis is available in the InfoCubes.
Can anyone please let me know how to use the "forecast" planning function in "Integrated Planning"
to predict the future prices with stepwise procedure or provide any document explaining similar requirement.
Any prompt help regarding this will be truly appreciated and awarded with points.

Planning - Attribute Hierarchy question

I currently have an attribute defined for one of my dimensions and would like to re-arrange the defined attribute members into a simple hierarchy. That does not appear to be possible. I can create Siblings and Children, but cannot move an existing member to be a child of Parent. Has anyone found a way around this? Thanks -

Dianne,
The whole purpose of 52 is to build the lower levels of the BOMs to the forecast, and to ignore any extraneous factors (such as sales orders and FGs stock). SAP specifically excludes netting against FGs stock for this strategy. In an ideal world, such stock does not exist. When it does exist, it must be handled manually.
Some companies add a step to their forecasting process, by reducing the forecast by the amount of stock contained in FGs, before converting the forecast to Planned independent requirements, as a partial workaround.
Generally, your ATPs will not consider FGs stock. As soon as you issue FGs to the order, then the FGs buildable planned orders disappear during the next MRP run, and everything falls back into synch.
If you wish to net against FGs stock, use a strategy like 40 or 10, and use a regular ATP. Or, consider using enhancements.

Uploding MD61 (Planned Independent Requirements) Using BAPI

Hi,
i am using BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CREATE for uploading the planned independent requirements (MD61).
The flat file structure is like
Mat. Number...................Week 01 Forecast...................Week 02 Forecast..................Week 03 Forecast.
2011905..................................907........................................911..........................................916
the problem is i am uploading material no and week 01 forecast. i am unable to upload remaining quantities for the same material no.
plz help me regarding this.

I haven't used the BAPI to change Independent requirements, but there are standard transaction MD74, MD75 and MD76 to reorganize Planned independent requirements by date. These jobs are normally scheduled to run at start of period.

Can any body tell me what exactly Planned Independent Requirements means and how it differs means from dependent requirements?

Hi,
To produce a finish material, there should be some requirements. The requirements can be in form of forecast or order based. Order based requirements are triggered by sales order or customer requirements. The forecast can be done in any any system for a particular finished product in SAP or non SAP system. After carrying out the forecast, this can be entered into SAP as planned independent requirements. The term PIR is nothing but requirements which are triggered by planning and not by order.
PIR comes into picture when you are using a MTS or related scenario.

Planned Independent Requirement Not getting displayed in MD04

Hi,
I am assigning material to nwa and doing advance procurement by using procurement type PIR. Reservation is getting created after release of activity but the same is not getting displayed in MD04.
The items of the reservation are getting displayed in MB23.
what could be the reason for this?

Hi,
Planned Independent requirements (PI) are normally configured for consumption by 'Dependent' requirements. Hence the PIR would have been replaced by the reservation from 'dependent' requirement. You can test and verify the same in development system.

Plan Material Requirements for Detached Order Assemblies in ETO

Hi all,
I need to plan requirements for a material used in engineering-to-order production. It's written in SAP Library ( http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/f6/089036e1e4b603e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm ) that I can plan independent requirements and assign them to the sales order. It's right, but I have two different sales orders and I need to assign a quantity to one and another one to the other: the system assign the whole quantity only to an order apart from the dates I have planned the independent requirements.
Have anyone a hint?

Hi,
Filter is indeed used in IP similar to how planning package was used in BPS. There really is no difference 'conceptually'.
What you have seen is the different options IP offers compared to BPS regarding planning function execution. You can execute planning function directly or using a planning sequence in an application (although in planning modeler, its only a planning sequence that can be executed, for eg., for testing purpose).
If you just execute a planning function without specifying any restriction, it will operate on the entire set of planning data. Whether its a planning sequence or planning function, the data it operates on can be restricted by binding the various characteristics (or variables) using various DPs in the application. What kind of dynamic selection are you looking at?

Forecast Planning Function

Hello,
Please can anyone will help provide me the steps for creating the Forecast Planning function for IP. ( Any planning forecasting model is ok).
I would like to create the forecast planning funtion in IP, sould like to know the steps.

There are many documents around SDN about forecasting and the basic ideas are the same as for BPS and for IP. There is just something that I don't understand from your request. Forecasting is not a trial, and it depends by many statistical reason to use a model or another . Before to do my model, we did a deep study involving also some of my past remembering about statistic and regression at university, and we used other econometric software to check if my model was good. Anyway the forecasting function in SEM were not good enough so I had to use FOX.
Maybe u are just running a demo ?

I solve issue with reimplemtation BPS to IP, for now I solve how to recreated forecast planning functions. In BPS we use forecast method Automatic model selection and under condition, we have key figure Entry conditions, but in IP I can´t find some conditions for key figures...
Any help?

Creating Planned Independent Requirements for an MRP Area.

Hi All,
I am trying to enter Planned Independent Requirements for an MRP Area, with requirement type VSE and I get the following error;
"Only stock requirements are allowed when planning at MRP area level".
I can enter at the Plant level with no problems.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

The following is the excerpt from SAP [Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/81/470a58ddab11d1b55b0000e82de178/frameset.htm] I think you maintained a planning strategy in the MRP view (for the plant) which doesn't support VSE.
You can delete PIRs from an MRP area by deleting the MRP area number from the Creating Planned Independent Requirements screen and recompiling.
When you define the planning strategies and parameters in the material master, these parameters apply to the whole plant, including all the MRP areas within the plant: You cannot maintain the MRP areas separately.
The integration of the MRP area and the assignment of the MRP area in the sales order is supported only by a user exit in the sales and distribution user exit pool.
Sales orders with MRP areas are created irrespective of the availability check control group in the material master.
Customer order processing of production sales orders with the item category (account assignment Step E Single) is only maintained in the MRP area of the plant.
In Customizing and in the MRP area user exit, make sure that when transferring individual sales orders, only requirements types KE, KEK, KEKS, KET, KELV, KEV, KEVV, VSEF, and VSE are generated.
The following requirements types are valid for the MRP area: KE, KEK, KEKS, KET, KELV, KEV, KEVV, VSEF, and VSE.
You cannot plan with preliminary planning materials in the MRP area.
There is no planning strategy for the material segment of the MRP area.
The planning strategy for the material master segment of the plant is assigned to the material segment of the MRP area.
The consumption mode and the periods of adjustment are derived from the plant in the MRP area of the material master.
Only consumption customer requirements with planned independent requirements are allowed: VSF requirements with KSV and VSFB with KSV.

ATP against planned independent requirements

I have set up materials that are linked to planning materials using strategy group 63. I have tested setting the planning material consumption to a 2 for forwards/backwards and 3 for forward only. I have set up planned independent requirements by week.
When I book a sales order it gives me a material availability date that is in the week prior to the availability of the material based on planning. For example I have 100 parts available for week 30 which starts on July 21 yet my sales order shows a material availability date of 7/16 and a goods issue date of 7/18. How can I ship the goods if they are not available yet. Any ideas on what could be wrong??

Forecast planning functions/sequences

I want to ask you for some advice in two issues. We want to create forecast that is based on actual data from Actual data cube and this forecast save to Forecast data cube (both cubes are in multiprovider)
1) I created sequence , for that I use filter and planning function type forecast. Is it some relationship between historic data filter in forecast planning function setting and "classic" filter (part of planning sequence), It looks that u201Eclassic filter is stronger than historic data filter, so no data from base cube are readu2026 When i use filter with small restriction some data are read...
2) When I created forecast planning function, I use historic data filter for specification of base data for forecast (I used Actual data cube and another restrictions) but I can´t find anywhere some target field for restriction, so I dont know to which cube will be data saved and with which restriction...

If I understand good forecast planning function create data with same restriction as is used in Historic data filter only with another time horizont, Am I wright?
So the data will be saved to the same cube where is "based" data - in my case Actual data cube and there no possibility to choose Forecast cube for it. So we will have to than use some copy function to copy data to Forecast cube...
I found in help.sap.com some example of forecast scenario, it looks that in this scenario also version are changed from Actuals to PLAN_LIN, but maybe it s only my opinion...

I am trying to write an SQVI query which will show me which sales orders are confirmed against which planned independent requirement; so it will show the same data as MD73.
Is there a table which links the sales order to the PIR?
