Forefront Endpoint is not compatible for Windows 8.
What else does Microsoft offer as an antivirus

Or do they have a version compatible for Windows 8?

  • Acrobat 5 not compatible for Windows 8

I just got a new computer and had downloaded Adobe Acrobat 5 to read pdf files.
But this computer has Windows 8 and a screen keeps popping up telling me its not compatible with Windows 8 and that it can cause instability problems.
Can anyone please help me with this problem? I need to know what other program I can use when I open pdf files. I dont want to jeopardize this new computer.

If you just need to read/view PDF files, install the latest Adobe Reader.
If you need Acrobat 5 to edit PDF files, you may be able to run it in Windows 2000 or XP compatibility mode.

  • Why is the a505 series not compatible for the windows 10 upgrade

Why is the a505 series not compatible for the windows 10 upgrade. It does not show up in the system available for the upgrade.

Nobody said that it wasn't compatible. Microsoft makes that determination.  Toshiba, however, has chosen not to write new utilities and drivers for it for Windows 10.

  • Latest version of firefox program is not compatible with windows 7

After I updated the latest version of mozilla firefox in my laptop which is a windows 7 program,it doesn't work anymore. Every time I open the firefox, the screen goes black and I can't see anything on the screen but black. And when I troubleshoot and fix the problem, it says that "COLOR SCHEMES IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 7". Program compatibility is the 1.5 version or 1.0. How to fix this one? I uninstalled and already installed a new one but still to no avail the problem is still the same. Should I install the older version? Where to download the older version? It seems that in mozilla firefox website, only the latest version or the 3.0 version is available.

hello Gracerilla, other users with this problem all had an embedded intel hd3000 graphics card with an old driver present. in case this also applies to you, here would be a link to update the driver, which in turn should also address the black firefox problem: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23764 (for win7 64 bit)
in case this doesn't solve the issue or does not apply to your system, start firefox into safemode '''by pressing the shift key while the application is launching''' & disable hardware acceleration in the firefox ''menu ≡ > options > advanced > general'' (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).

    Hey kriscro2,
Thanks for the question. iTunes 11.1.4 is compatible with Windows 8, as outlined on the System Requirements page:

  • Captivate is not compatible with Windows Vista RTM

I can confirm that Captivate 2 is not compatible with Windows
Vista (RTM Final MSDN). I have been testing it on several systems
with various versions of Vista. It had partial success with RC2,
but with RTM it crashes quite frequently (when vista is drawing new
windows). I can't tell however if captivate is directly responsible
or if it is perhaps an incompatible version of Flash (current using
latest version 9 beta) that is to blame. However, since Vista is at
RTM then I would say that it is now the responsibility of Adobe to
fix the compatibility issues with a new update. Technically vista
is not due to domestic market until january 07, however businesses
will be able to purchase vista in only two weeks, and as Captivate
is generally used for business/training use i would certainly think
that it should be of high importance that these issues are
    resolved.
Can anyone else comment on their experiences with Captivate
    and Vista?

    Hi cptv8
I appreciate your taking the time to report back your
findings about Vista. Perhaps it will be helpful to those that are
    early adopters.
    You stated:
Technically vista is not due to domestic market until january
07, however businesses will be able to purchase vista in only two
weeks, and as Captivate is generally used for business/training use
i would certainly think that it should be of high importance that

You have a valid point. However, you are making it in the
wrong venue. How? Well, Adobe doesn't normally make it a habit of
visiting the peer-to-peer support forums. This means users
supporting users. If you are concerned that Adobe is aware of this
issue, you should really consider using a different channel. The
Wish Form. And you can easily get there by simply
    clicking
    here.
Now I don't claim to be a guru of anything in particular, but
it seems to me that businesses are very slow to adopt things. They
tend to take a very pragmatic and slow approach. Many are just now
making the leap to XP! So I'm guessing that Vista will be slow to
gain ground. I'm also confident that the Captivate team is well
aware of the Vista issues and will be addressing them as best they
    can.
    Sincerely... Rick

  • Adobe Acrobat 5 not compatible with Windows 8

When I try to open up files saved in Adobe Acrobat 5 my new computer with Windows 8 gives me a message that they are not compatible with Windows 8. What do I need to do to be able to open these files on my new computerwth Windows 8?

Did you install reader or such on Win8? AA5 is not even compatible with Win7, though it can be made to work with work arounds for the 32-bit version. I suspect you also have a 64-bit system, which I think is totally incompatibile with AA5. Download the Reader XI and try to open the PDFs with that. I suspect they will open fine.
If you want to create PDFs, you will need to purchase AA XI.

  • Panasonic Virera TC-P60S30 NOT compatible with Windows 7

I just bought the Panasonic Viera TV model TC-P60S30, from BEST Buy at the excellent price of $1,099.  This is a fine TV - easy set up, terrific picture and sound, lots of connectivity.  This is an excellent deal and I'm very satisfied except for one very disappointing and misleading claim by Panasonic.
Panasonic claims this TV has the functionality to stream pictures and music to the TV wirelessly from a Windows 7 enabled PC.  In fact an answer to my question about this from Panasonic Answers now posted on Bestbuy's product page (see link below) says this functionality is definitely available via the TVs DLNA feature.
    http://reviews.bestbuy.com/answers/3545mha/content/popup.htm?bvpage=http%3A%2F%2Freviews.bestbuy.com...
Panasonic's above answer is contrary to my experience so far.  As things stand, my tentative conclusion is this TV is not compatible with Windows 7 for DLNA functionality.  Here are my reasons:
After a very aggravating 48 hours of trying, I can't find a way to configure Windows 7 to stream pictures and music to the DLNA functions of the TV.
The TV's user Manual on page 34 states, "The DLNA control function of Windows 7 is not supported with this TV."
Tech Support at Panasonic told me they do not yet have a way of enabling DLNA streaming to this TV with Windows 7.
Microsoft's web-page of Windows 7 compatible TVs, does not list this model of TV.
The package this TV came in, does not bear the "Windows 7 Certified" compatibility logo.
There are a lot of people out there in the blogosphere discussing their problems with this issue on a number of Panasonic HDTV models.
If anyone out there has any experience with this issue, I'd dearly love to hear from you.  In the meantime, if you are looking for a TV with DLNA functionality fully compatible with Windows 7, I'd recommend you look elsewhere.  On the other hand, if you don't care about the DLNA feature, or if you are able to use it with some other Operating System, then this TV is an excellent buy.
Oh yes, and I think you guys at BestBuy should check this out.  If you agree with me, then Panasonic deserves a gentle knuckle-rap from you for their boo-boo in the above linked answer on your web-site. I know they are up to fixing this.  Maybe a DLNA firmware upgrade for this TV is in the offing?
    Cheers,

Yes, Tversity is one nifty product.  It meets all of the streaming goals I was trying to acheive.  And it looks to work well, so far, with Windows 7.  So this is fine as far as a third party solution goes.  And NoNoBadDog definitely deserves a chocolate star for suggesting this work-around solution.
Nevertheless, Panasonic still deserves a rap on their vaporware knuckles because their product should work as claimed, right of the box, as it were, without having to resort to an unrelated third party piece of software.  Ordinary mortals are simply not comfortable with this kind of work around solution.
I stand by my opinion - this TV is not compatible with Windows 7.
(By the way NoNoBadDog, I have to worry about DLNA, because Panasonic built the TV with DLNA as the only doorway in for streaming from a PC. That's why I didn't click on your kudo icon)
    Cheers!

  • Acrobat Pro 9 is not compatible with Windows 7

Acrobat Pro 9 is not compatible with Windows 7.  How do I upgrade my version?
    Thanks,
    John

Where did you get that information (other than Win 7 is not listed in the compatibility list)? I have been using AA9 on Windows 7 for several years (it is a 32-bit system). Did you try to install it or some other issue crop up? You may need to be sure you install the updates, but otherwise it should work. Even folks with AA8 have been successful on Win 7 (at least that is what they have reported), though they are likely to have some minor problems at times.
My Win7 came with Acrobat 9 when Win 7 first came out and has worked fine. If you have upgraded OFFICE to 2010 or later, then you would only be able to print, not use PDF Maker.
That being said, it is still a good idea to go ahead and upgrade. AA9 is the oldest version qualifying for the upgrade to AAXI.

I would recommend Acrobat 10.  You can find more details as well as a trial at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html?promoid=JOLIR.  It should be noted though that Acrobat 5 is too old of a version to qualify for the upgrade price I am sorry.

  • Attention! Laptop Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 10 is not compatible with Windows 8.1

    Attention!
Laptop Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 10 is not compatible with Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 Update (pre-installed operating system is Windows 8.0) .
More specifically, after update for Windows 8.1 all the  drivers (including the latest)  Intel (R) Iris (TM) graphics, Intel (R) Iris (TM) Pro graphics and Intel (R) HD GRAPHICS  installed on this laptop  does not support out of the sleep mode.
This has been checked many times by different users laptop Flex 10.
Any comments from Lenovo are absent. By Lenovo specifications for this notebook there are no conflicts with Windows 8.1. It is not true!
It is unclear why Lenovo has admitted this deficiency.
I think Lenovo Flex 10 is a mistake that will cost the company Lenovo.

    Mine came with Windows 8.1

Hello @Gram23 , welcome to the community
I read about how the installation disk you have for your Deskjet F4400 series printer, is not compatible with Windows 8.
That is okay! You can download and install your printer from the website. Click this link, select which F4400 you have and choose Drivers and Download from there. When the download completes, the installation will start automatically, just follow the instructions on the screen until its completed.

  • HP DVD1260I not compatible with windows 8.1

Recently i bought HP DVD1260I dvd burner, it works fine at first. I have windows 8.1 PC, recently I noticed my Dvd drive is not shown in windows explorer as well as in device mananger, but the dvd drive is shown in BIOS. To check my dvd is working or not, i have booted with linux cd, it works fine. Now, it shows that the dvd drive is not compatible with windows 8.1 (recent updates may cause this issue). Could anybody help?

    Hi Jero,
    Welcome to the HP Forum!
There are some issues with the upgrade - even if your system came with Windows 8.1, there are a bunch of HP products that are not updated yet for the new 8.1 environment.  It is a pain, but the truth is that some things take more time than others.  I do not work for HP, by the way, this is just my personal opinion.
Disclaimer:  I am not running Windows 8.1 at this writing;  I have some issues with the way in which 8.1 will treat some of my favorite setups...  I am not ready to commit to the discomfort.  Smiling.
You do have to be on the latest SimplePass to have a chance at all for this to work.
It appears that you are aware of the native Windows 8.1 fingerpring login service - this is a good thing.
I do not know personally if the fingerprinter, native or not, will work with that new "feature" of Windows 8.1 that wants us all to log in with our Microsoft password.
I did find a fix for Windows Live Login:  Quick Tip: Change to a local account in Windows 8.1
If you can get your system set back to a local login and then make sure you are running the latest HP Simplepass,  things may fall into place.
Latest HP SimplePass (at writing) is linked in the following file:
SkyDrive >> look for and open the file named:
Simple Instructions to Upgrade HP SimplePass
    I hope something here helps!

  • PCMCIA 5102 not compatible in windows 7, USB equivalent / Tektronix TDS 2024B usage

    Hello,
I am given a 8.5 labview program that works in windows xp and uses PCMCIA 5102 digitizer card for signal acquistion and showing it in graphs.
we are converting that code to LV2012 and win 7.
i just found out that the pcmcia 5102 is not supported in win 7 anymore and is showing niscope error and cannot install any drivers for it.
we are using the 4 channels on it (ch0,ch1, trigger, clock) and these cards are also obsolete.
is there a USB equivalent for it or even 3rd party with labview drivers, ni has all the usb new ones that have only 3 inputs. how to solve this problem?
we have tektronix tds2024b, how can i use this as an equivalent to PCMCIA 5102 and acquire and show on labview graphs real-time. I didnot program any instrument before ..
one thing observed is that the oscilloscope graphs cho, ch1, trigger nicely even though i removed the clock input. i donot understand the use of clock input if it can graph all the three signal as expected without clock. is that clock only required when using a NI digitizer?
    plz help.
    Thanks

    Hey freemason,
You are correct that the PCMCIA 5102 is not compatible with Windows 7, however we do have the USB-5132 and USB-5133 which have a USB connection and should be (if the program uses the NI-SCOPE driver) a drop-in replacement.  They do not have the PFI lines that the 5102 does, but it sounds like you were only using that as an external clock and the 5132/3 have a 50MHz/100MHz internal clock respectively that is both faster and more accurate than the internal clock on the 5102.
There are also PCI options if you do need those PFI lines.
As for whether you can use the Tek TDS2024b as a replacement: As Dennis said, unless you used the IVI driver in the program, there will be a lot of work to convert the code to use that scope.  There is a driver for it, and if you're ever interested if a driver exists for a 3rd party instrument, you can go to the following link and search; the Tektronix TDS series is first in the list of most popular drivers.
    http://www.ni.com/downloads/instrument-drivers/
Finally, that PCMCIA card has a 20MHz clock inside of it that you should be able to use for a sample clock, so an external clock isn't required.  If you had a more accurate clock you wanted to use or maybe if you wanted to synchronize the card with another one, that would be the main reason to use an external clock source.
    Hope this helps!
