Multiple Antivirus Programs installed!
I do not recommend that you have more than one anti-virus product installed and running on your computer at a time.
The reason for this is that if both products have their automatic (Real-Time) protection switched on, then those products which do not encrypt the virus strings within them can cause other anti-virus products to cause "false alarms". It can
also lead to a clash as both products fight for access to files which are opened again this is the resident/automatic protection. In general terms, the two programs may conflict and cause:
1) False Alarms: When the anti virus software tells you that your PC has a virus when it actually doesn't.
2) System Performance Problems: Your system may lock up due to both products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
Therefore please go to add/remove in the control panel and remove either
Microsoft Security Essentials or McAfee.
Scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit
Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit from here Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit and save it to your desktop.
Be sure to print out and follow the instructions provided on that same page.
Caution: This is a beta version so please be sure to read the disclaimer and back up any important data before using.
Double click the mbar.zip file to open it, then 'Extract all files'.
Double click the mbar folder to open it, then double click mbar.exe to start the tool.
Check for Updates, then Scan your system for malware
If malware is found, do NOT press the Cleanup button yet. Click EXIT.

    Hi,
We have installed FIM MA with an account that have all the sufficient rights. It got created successfully and worked for Full Import and Full Sync. But, due to some version incompatabilities, we have installed a patch.PFB link for the patch.
    http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2969673/en-us
Now, we are trying to refresh the schema of FIM MA. While doing that we are facing an error "Failed to connect to database". The user account with which we are connecting has read and write permissions on DB.In the event viewer some errors are

Please advice how to fix the issue.
    Thanks

    Hello,
seems to me that you maybe only updated the syncengine but not portal/webservice.
I had that error once after an recovery from scratch and forgot one of the hotfixes to apply to all services.

  • Forefront TMG 2010 Error from management console

    Hi,
I am having a problem connecting to a TMG 2010 array from an installation of TMG management console we are receiving the error 'Refresh Failed' 'Error 0x80070057' ' The Parameter is incorrect'.
The only article i can find on this error is this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2591719 which doesn't seem to apply to our setup or this problem but I have applied Service pack 2 anyway but still get same error. The only other thing i can find is
a few people saying the management console needs to be at the same version as the TMG servers you are trying to connect to but I cannot see how this can be done as when I try to run the service pack on the machine with only the management console I get an
error as the full installation is not there.

    Hi,
Firstly, have you found any related information in the event logs?
Nest, you can check the version of the TMG server from the TMG help menu, TMG system node or using Control Panel. For more detailed information, please refer to the link below:
How to Determine Which Version of TMG
    Server 2010 Is Installed
In addition, what hotfix rollup or Server pack have you installed? Please refer to the recommended order below:

  • Error Code 0X8007005 installing Forefront Endpoint Protection

I am having a terrible time getting forefront installed.  I installed Windows 7 Pro 64-bit on a computer and then installed Forefront without any issues.  After that I ran Windows update from our WSUS server.  After the updates were installed,
Forefront was not longer there.  When I tried to reinstall Forefront, I received the error code 0x8007005 Access is denied.  I need help figuring out what happened and how to fix this.

When does it displays the access denied message, it is during installation or when you start the setup?
Try right click on the installation file and run as administrator.
Try restart your PC and boot into safemode, are you able to install it in safemode?

  • Microsoft windows defender is not working due to error code 0x80073b01 in windows 8.1

I had purchased this model on 19.10.2013, after that I had been using Norton Antivirus. But recently, I tried to start on Microsoft windows defender, which was already there in my laptop since I had purchased. The OS was windows 8, after that, I had upgraded it to windows 8.1 on recomendations by hp, however, I don't know which bit (either 32 or 64) windows 8.1 is it in my laptop. But the windows defender has never ever started, since begining it has been showing the same error code i.e. 0x80073b01. I have scanned my laptop through "Registry Recycler" also, at the suggestion given on internet, still the same problem is persisting. Please suggest the optimum solution to this problem, as my laptop contains so many firefox cookies and recycler virus.

+- did the same as you said to do i.e. sfc/scannow, but it showed the following message-"Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service."Please tell what to do next, because the problem is still not fixed.

  • Basic questions regarding installing Forefront EP Client 2010 on Windows 2012 R2

    Hi,
We have a handful of servers and client machines (although these always seem to be expanding) and as such have previously just installed the Forefront Endpoint 2010 Client manually onto the various endpoints with updates being pushed via WSUS from a Windows
2008R2 machine, without running to a full installation of SCCM or the Forefront Endpoint Server. However, trying to install the FEP 2010 client directly onto new Windows 2012R2 servers result in a "This OS is not supported" error.
After checking some articles it appears that FEP 2010 might well be supported on Win 2012R2 (and Windows 8), but only if installed via SCCM. Is this correct?
We do have access to SCCM 2012, but again I have shied away from this. I had hoped that maybe the SCCM Endpoint client could also be installed manually once more, but trying to install this on a Windows 2012R2 machine results in a "Windows compatibility
mode is not supported by this program" error.
Am I barking up the wrong tree and will I now have to finally learn and install SCCM? If so I take it that I can update my 2008R2 WSUS server to firstly Win 2012RS WSUS, then add SCCM 2012?
    Cheers
    Chris

    Hi Joyce,
    Thanks for the feedback.
    Hi,
    >>After checking some articles it appears that FEP 2010 might well be supported on Win 2012R2 (and Windows 8), but only if installed via SCCM. Is this correct?
According to the blog below, Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010 with Update Rollup 1
is supported on Windows Server 2012 R2.
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/configmgrteam/archive/2013/09/16/support-questions-about-win-8.1-and-winsvr-2012-r2-for-configmgr-and-endpoint-protection.aspx
Please make sure you are running FEP 2010 update rollup 1. You could get it from the following link.
    http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2907566/en-us
Thanks for the feedback. I should have said that I have indeed tried this. From the initial link you posted I found the "Update Rollup 1 for Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010" (http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2551095/en-us), however, this update
itself apparently requires a prerequisite. Whist I have tried to install the prerequisite (http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2554364/en-us) and the Forefront Update Rollup 1 directly onto a a Windows 2012 R2 machine, I end up with errors:
Installing the Prerequisite result in a "Error code: 1642" in the log file. Have have tried to chase this error, but have not spent too much time digging as yet, but this appears to be more to do with the FEP server than the client.
Installing with the FEP Update Rollup (obviously without the prerequisite), give us three folders (FepExt, FepReport and FepUx), none of which seem to be the client per se
    >>Ah, the later problem of trying to install a client from SCCM 2012 onto Windows 2012R2 maybe because I have been using SCCM 2012 SP1, and not SCCM 2012R2??
In SCCM 2012, Endpoint Protection 2012 is integrated so you cannot install FEP 2010 in it.
    Best Regards,
    Joyce
No no, What I meant was that I had hoped that I could install the client contained within SCCM 2012 R2 installation material manually onto a vanilla Windows 2012 R2 box (which is what I'm trying to do), in the same way that I could install the FEP 2010 on
previous Windows OS. The ISO that I have currently from our systems team is that of SCCM 2012 SP1, not SCCM 2012 R2, and the client within the SP1 package does not install in Windows 2012 R2. I'm tyring to get hold of the SCCM 2012 R2 ISO now, which (from
what I read) should allow me to manually install the client.
I may well play with SCCM later, but is a little over kill for our estate (read 10's of servers and clients, rather than 1000's), however, we should have a campus licence for SCCM.
    Regards
    Chris

  • Error: The specified mailbox database [Mailbox Database Name] does not exist, when you try to export mailbox in Exchange 2007

    [Symptom]
    ======================
In Exchange 2007, when you want to export mailbox to a .pst file, you should run the
Export-Mailbox cmdlet from a 32-bit computer that has the following installed:
The 32-bit version of the Exchange management tools
Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 SP2 or later versions
If not, you may encounter the following error message:
You check that you have these required installed, but you get the error below when you run Export-Mailbox in EMS.
“The specified mailbox database [Mailbox Database Name] does not exist.”
    [Cause Analysis]
    =======================================
This is because that the account you use to run Export-Mailbox cmdlet don’t have the Exchange Server Administrator role assigned.
You can check if this account has been delegated the Exchange Server Administrator role through the following path.
EMC -> Organization Configuration-> Check permissions in the result pane.
To delegate this Exchange Server Administrator role, right click on the
Organization Configuration node and choose Add Exchange Administrator,
you will see the Add Exchange Administrator window.

    Hi,
Based on my test, if you make the user the owner of the database (rather than a user with the db_owner role), when you create a query, it creates it under the dbo schema rather than DOMAIN\username.
Steps to do so (in Management Studio):
    Right click database, select Properties
    Click File
    Change Owner in the textbox
    OK to confirm
Downside - other users under db_owner role will still have their username appended. So schemas have to be created for these users.

Further, I note that it has trouble connecting to the web exchange connector.  I wonder if this is because I used an alias (for easy migration in the future) for which the certificate does not match the name for?  I'm connecting to "mail.testdomain.internal",
although that's actually a NLB group between two CAS/HUB servers.

I'm not really sure where to start investigating at this point.  The only other thing to note is that after installing the portal, I didn't see a new management agent in the synchronization service (I thought one was supposed to appear, though I could
    be mistaken).

I eventually figured this out - it was that the portal management agent hadn't been created yet, I had to create it.

  • Error when reading a RCDC (permission issue)

    Hello,
I have created a MPR to grant right for a specific set (set 1) of user to read somes attributes (DisplayName) of a specific set of objects (set 2).
For you information this set contains in fact all objects of a custom type.
I have created a RCDC for viewing this object.
In a first time the XML template of this RCDC contains only a control for the DisplayName attribute.
    <my:Control my:Name="DisplayName" my:TypeName="UocLabel" my:Caption="{Binding Source=schema, Path=DisplayName.DisplayName}" my:Description="{Binding Source=schema, Path=DisplayName.Description}" my:RightsLevel="{Binding Source=rights, Path=DisplayName}">
    <my:Properties>
    <my:Property my:Name="Text" my:Value="{Binding Source=object, Path=DisplayName, Mode=OneWay}" />
    </my:Properties>
    </my:Control>
When I try to read the object with a user belonging to the set 1, I meet the error below. However if I modify my MPR to grant right on all attributes, I am able to read the RCDC. This is why I think the error is related to a permission issue.
Error page on the FIM web portal:
    Unable to process your request.
Please contact your help desk or system administrator.
    > Go to Forefront Identity Manager home page
More information on the error in the Windows Event Viewer:

       at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.WebServices.RequestDispatcher.DispatchRequest[ResponseBodyType](RequestType request)
       at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.WebServices.ResourceManagementService.Get(Message request)
Does anyone have an idea of a way to solve this issue? Thank you ;)
    Regards,
    Serge

Finally, I found the solution. I had to add ObjectID in the list of attributes in the MPR.
If the user can't read the object id, he will not able to read the RCDC.

  • Problem with HP laserjet 8100 (error 79.00 FE)

    Hallo,
my company have two printers LaserJet 8100. They worked perfect on Windows XP. When i install Windows 7 both of them stoped working. And start show error 79.00 FE.  I tried cold reset. They printed ~50 pages and stoped. We have Hp laserjet 8150DN and wtih this model everything ok.
    Please help

    Hello Rick,
Just as I mentioned above I'm using Microsoft Forefront Protection, but had no luck with disabling the Real-time protection - it is disabled,
    but that chanage nothing.
The downloaded driver is for Windows 7 64 bit.
I did write to HP but I still got no answer from them... I already checked that support page, but I didn't get any information corresponding
to my problem, not to mention that a lot of that page is just copy/paste from another product and it's not relevant to that model.
