Foreign Character Issue in Messages sent to MQ Series Queue

Hi Experts,
We are having a IDOC to JMS Scenario.We receive the IDOC and Convert it into a Single Line Flat File using a JAVA Mapping.We send the flat file message to MQ series 6.0 Queue using a JMS adapter.
We are facing issues when message contains foreign character like Chinese , German and Greek.
The Input\Output payload looks fine in SXMB_MONI and in the JMS Channel payload. when the message is put in the MQ Series Queue. When we open the messages in the JMS Q, the Foreign Character looks as "?????".
PFB some details on the Java Code and other Config Settings.
1. We read the messages from the Input Stream as UTF-8 and do the Transformation and Write the Output as UTF-8
we use writer class to write the output after conversion (shown below).
Writer osw = new OutputStreamWriter (osOutput,"UTF-8");
2. The MQ series is in UNIX box and CCSID of the Queue Manager is 819.
we have set the CCSID of the JMS channel 819.
can you please clarify in case any transformation is happening before placing the message in the queue and how to we handle this case from the channel or in the Java code.
Some Sample Character are u0395u03A3u03A4u0399u0391u03A4u039Fu03A1u0399u0391-u03A4u0391u0392u0395u03A1u039Du0395u03A3-u039Au0391u03A6 , u039Au039Fu039Du0399u039Fu03A1u0394u039Fu03A5 u03A7u03A1u03A5u03A3u0391 , and some Chinese Characters too

Hi All,
Thank you all . My problem is not resolved yet
I have one more useful info.
I set the Transport Protocol as TCP\IP and Kept the JMS Compliant as WebsphereMQ (Non-JMS) in JMS Channel Parameters TAB. In additional Parameters TAB i have set  "JMS.TextMessage.charset"     as ISO-8859-1.In this Setting, The Characters looks perfectly fine when i browse and view the messages in MQ Series Q. Messages are sent in MQSTR format, where the message has no header value.
Intially i had set JMS Compliant Field as "JMS Compliant" with additional param TAB set as ISO-8859-1, where the message is sent in MQHRF2 format containing header details. i also configure dynamic header values using AF_Modules to this header. Special Chars didnt work.
Now in MQSTR due to missing Header values the messages are not being identified and routed properly by the end system from the MQ series.
Now i need to find the missing loop, what happens when message is sent using WebSp MQ API's (MQSTR) and Java API (MQHRF2). I need to have MQHRF2 format with Messages body sent exactly as it is in MQSTR. Is there any parameter, which i need to set.
can anyone help me in this  regard.

  • Message sent from XI but queue in waiting

    Hi Guys,
    I am facing a strange problem in XI.
    First of all cleared all the inbound and outbound queues in XI.
    Then I ran an async service from XI. The flow is as follows.
    XI --> SCM system(PROXY)
    (PROXY)SCM>XI>HTTP
    So as per the flow the response came back to XI and it posted the data to HTTP servlet and the servlet processed the data on its side.
    Hence I should see a message status in MONI as "Message successfully processed" with queue in empty status.However the message status is in "Scheduled for Outbound Processing" and the queue is in waiting status(yellow Triangle symbol). Earlier the same scenario worked fine. And now I am facing this issue for all the services.
    Remember I have cleared all the queues before I started this process. Hence there is no chance for my message to get stacked on queue bcoz of previous messages stacked on the same queue.
    Even I restarted XI box, but the problem still persists.
    Could somebody tell the reason behind this issue?
    Thanks,
    Gujjeti.

    Hello Everybody,
    Finally I have to close this thread as this issue is solved.
    There is nothing wrong on XI side.
    The problem is with HTTP servlets hosted on SAP Web AS JAVA. ( different WAS instance other than XI, which is hosting these servlets.)
    Restarting java application deployment specific to the servlets on Web AS Java using Visual Administrator resolved the issue.
    Still I don't know the exact root cause for this behavior. May be  the application environment has got some problems as these servlets are handling huge amounts of data.
    Thanks everybody for your inputs. Your answers might be correct w.r.t other kind of issues in XI.

  • Foreign Character Issue

    Hi,
    In our application, we have a functionality in which user can post a SQL and output of SQL FTPed to user's server. Now we are facing following issue for data of one user:
    The data looks like when i query throguh SQL*PLUS:
    HYPO–UND VEREINSBANK
    but it looks to user HYPO–UND VEREINSBANK on his server. We use nls_language = american in our database.
    Please suggest what changes should do either from my side or their side for correcting the data on their server.
    Thanks.

    I am not overly knowlegable in this area but I would think that you should check the NLS_CHARACTERSET and NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET at the client.
    If the right parameters are set at the OS level then the client should translate the data correctly.
    HTH -- Mark D Powell --
    PS - If might help if you could identify the type of client in use and the tool being used to view the data.

  • How to put a PDF message on a mq series queue

    I am having an issue reading a pdf document that is stored in a blob on the database and putting the document on our queue. In the past we have always had to deal with Word documents, but using the same method with the pdf's causes out of memory errors .. I have seen solutions here when reading from a file but not when the data is coming from a database. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    for word docs I simply read the data out of the blob using a .getbytes() into a byte array and pass that to my method for putting the binary onto our queue, so the variable message is a byte []
    String corrID = correlationID+"";
              byte[] theBits = new BigInteger(corrID, 16).toByteArray();
              outMessage.correlationId = theBits;
              outMessage.write(message);
              System.out.println("-->BFC--invoking put statement for message");
              queue.put(outMessage);
              qManager.commit();

    Please disreagard this message, it turns out the wrong decompression method was being used on the pdf file.

  • HT5538 All text messages sent to my wife are also coming to my phone. How can we stop this?

    My wife's iPhone 4 and my iPhone 4S are both using iOS 6. We also sync to an iMac and a Macbook Pro.  My wife updated her phone last night.  Then today I received a message on the iMac to provide my e-mail password for iMessage and FaceTime. Since then, any text messages sent to my wife are automatically sent to my iPhone. Even messages I send to her are sent back to me as if I had written them to myself.  Messages she gets from other people are sent to me as well. How do we fix this so that messages sent to her go only to her?  Also we use a single Apple ID for all our devices--iPhones and Macs, but we have done that for a couple of years, and this problem has not arisen before.

    I can confirm it is using the single ID that is causing this issue.
    You will need to use multiple ID's however, these can share the same payment ID.
    Hope this helps!

  • TS3899 I send an e-mail message from my iPhone 5c and it shows up in Sent folder as a duplicate, 2 of the same e-mail messages sent at the same time.

    I send an e-mail message from my iPhone 5c and it shows up in Sent folder as a duplicate message. 2 identical messages sent at the same time. What's up with this? Tried Apple Support by phone, and did a couple of troubleshoots, then my connection with Apple Support was cut off. Issue not resolved yet.

    Did the mail get sent? Is the only issue the fact that it appears twice in the Sent folder?

  • HTC Sensation not able to open text messages sent from iPhone4 iOS6

    Up until I installed iOS 6, my friend had no trouble receiving and opening a standard (green) text message sent from my iPhone4. After the new install, his phone receives the message but as a text file that won't open. He hasn't changed anything on his end nor have I changed anything else, so I'm assuming this must be the culprit. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Thank you for any suggestions.

    Have you figured this out yet?

  • Any way to present standard text in response to a Lync message sent to a distribution group?

    Our company uses MOC/Lync as a way for employees to engage the Tier 1 Help Desk with questions.  The Tier 1 Help Desk is setup as a distribution list and employees send a MOC message to that distribution list.  When there is a broad system issue,
    the Tier 1 Help Desk typically gets inundated with messages from everyone reporting the same issue.  It would be great during this type of event if any message sent to the Tier 1 distribution list could be intercepted and replied to with an
    automatic "We are aware of a system issue with xyz and are working to resolve it."  This would hopefully let the employee know that IT is aware of the issue and working on it and IT can therefore ignore their message if it is in fact about this
    issue.  Is anyone aware of a way to implement this type of feature?

    Hi,
    I don't think you'll be able to achieve this natively in Lync. The only thing that comes to mind is to define a custom presence state that you could have Tier 1 Help Desk change to in the event of this happening. This would only be a proactive measure though,
    and not reactive in providing an auto response.
    Looks like you'd either need to jump in and create something leveraging the Lync API's yourself, or see if there's an auto-responder / bot plugin out there already that can do this for you.
    I'm not familiar with any myself, but top of a quick google-fu moment pulled up
    http://lyncauto.blogspot.co.uk/
    I must stress I've never used this, but its this type of app that might offer you the functionality you're after. I'm sure others here might be able to recommend something that's proven.
    Kind regards
    Ben

  • I have a new iPhone 5 and receive the following message when texting some people within my contacts.  Message sent using invalid number of digits please resend using 10 digit number or valid short code Msg:2114

    I have a new iPhone 5 and receive the following message when texting some people within my contacts.  Message sent using invalid number of digits please resend using 10 digit number or valid short code Msg:2114. Online I found a discussion that stated i needed to delete contact and re-add. I have done that to no avail. Any ideas?

    I had the same issue with the iPhone 6 and tried everything!  I now understand that at some point I stored a number for a contact without including the area code and sent a text message.  So, to correct the issue, you must literally "erase" all references to the contact, not just the number.  Deleting the contact and entering a new one is not enough because the iPhone stores references to that number in multiple places.  The steps below worked and are very simple:
    1) On the contact screen, delete everything stored for that number.  You can't just edit the contact to fix the problem, so write down or record the info somewhere before you complete this step.  Choose edit and then select DELETE to eliminate the entire contact which means home, work, cell, email address, etc.
    2) Delete the entire string of messages you sent to that number.  That's every single message...
    3) Now delete the entire string of invalid 2114 messages you received after your text(s) failed.
    4) Finaly, remove the contact from FAVORITES if you saved it that way.
    5) To validate that all this worked, simply go to the keypad or contact screen and enter the number associated with the contact to verify successful removal.  I used the keypad and dialed to confirm.  If the contact number still shows up, you need to go back and recheck your steps.  Trust me, I had to do this a few times.
    Several posts suggested that you should  reset and turn off your phone.  After following these steps, it was not necessary for me to reset or turn off my device.
    is there a much faster way to achieve the same results?  Probably, but this was safe for an iPhone novice and may help you avoid inadvertently deleting other contacts or replacing factory settings that you need.

  • KNOWN ISSUE: HTML Messages with plain-text signatures

    To get around the EAS security policy issue, I'm having non-sensitive emails from work forwarded to a GMail account from a redirect set up in our corporate OWA. The redirect seems to send the messages to GMail without any issues; formatting is 100% intact, and in the GMail web client as well as Thunderbird, Entourage, etc., HTML emails with plain-text signature attachments show the plain-text message inline with the rest of the formatted message. All of our internal mailing lists have these plain text attachments that say where the message was coming from (Message sent from [email protected] by listserv). These get affixed to every message, both plain text and HTML.
    Here's my problem: The Pre's email client handles both plain text and HTML messages beautifully. But, when I receive a message from a mailing list with a plain text attachment, the HTML portion disappears, and all I see is the signature.
    Is there any way to make the Pre show the HTML INSTEAD of the plain text? I can live without the sig, I know where the messages are coming from already. But if I can't read the message, it's useless. I've only begun researching this and so far Google hasn't been much help, nor has searching these or other forums. Any help would be appreciated.

    I just got off the phone with Palm Support. Apparently this is a bug in the mail application. It currently does not support parsing both HTML and plain text in the same message. It will read EITHER plain text OR HTML, but not both at the same time. This will be fixed in a future update.

  • Contacts not shown in messages sent via PC Suite

    Hi all,
    OS : Windows XP SP2
    Connectivity : USB CA 101
    Handset : Nokia N 82
    Handset details : V 30.0.019
    RM-313
    Issue : If i send any message from my phone, in sent folder the contact person's name will display whereas for the messages sent via pc suite's communication centre, in sent folders only numbers are displayed despite the contacts are stored in the phone, same contacts' name will displayed if a message is sent via phone??? Is it an issue? Known bug from PC Suite ???

    there may be differencies between phone models here (S60 devices or S40 devices, you have S40). Also if I recall right, it used to be so that some older versions of PC Suite did not save the PC sent sms's to phone.
    However, with my N95 the messages are saved. So make sure you have the latest Pc Suite and then try again. If it fails, then it might be that message saving is not supported with S40 phones (Anyone having a S40 phone could verify this)

  • Messages sent from a shared mailbox aren't saved to the Sent Items.

    Messages sent from a shared mailbox aren't saved to the Sent Items.
    In my enviroment , I have Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2007 - i have a shared mailbox called
    ServiceDesk. I have added this mailbox to user "Mike" and given mike "Send as Permission" .
    The problem
    When ever mike sends an email from ServiceDesk
    - the email goes to his personal sent items instead of the sharedmailbox
    sent items. Is there a way to force any email sent from serviceDesk Mailbox to its own sent items folder? .

    Below is a similar solution to my problem but i do not want to make any changes to my registry. Please any other solution to this?

    Thanks guys for your help ..
    Regards, MassonTech

    Hi,
    This is maybe the wrong forum for this question, but anyway;
    Thie site you were pointing out's solution is valid.
    Please look in to the following KB article that describes the steps needed to solve this issue. A hotfix package (which you might not need and a  a "fixit" dowload for it, but will also change the registry key.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972148
    If you have a larger environment and would want to deploy the registry value, I'd suggest using Group Policy Preferences Registry settings.

  • Issues with Messages in iOS 8

    Been having some pretty serious issues with the Messages app.
    Freezing/crashing.  Messages sent from desktop not appearing on phone.  Etc.  Tried to close app and soft reset phone.  Still no luck.
    Anyone else? :/
    Thanks!
    iPhone 5s

    I have spent the better part of a whole day trying to resolve.  Have attempted several 3rd party tools to read the messages from the device, as well as iTunes backup.  Additionally, I don't see any historical backups in iTunes besides a current post v8 upgrade instance.  I found an offline backup from May of 2014 and see content, but no tool has surfaced anything between May 2014 and v8.02 upgrade.

  • Character Count in Message app too pale, I can't see it. Can I make it bigger & black instead of grey

    Character Count in Message app too small and pale, I can't see it.
    (My eyes, like the rest of me, are over 50)
    I have used Settings - Accessibility  to increase font size which is wonderful so now I can read what I'm typing,  but still cant see the character count.
    Can I make the charater count use a bigger font?
    Can I have it black instead of grey?
    ANd can I change the whilte-on-green for sent messages into well constrasted colours (like the old iPhone 3G?) so I can read them too?

    Thank you Malcolm, that was a good idea ... it seems to have improved the text in the messages I;ve received and a slight improvement in the white-on-green of the snet messages.
    Sadly did not affect the character count.
    I fear it begins to look as if the character count has been overlooked by the designers at Apple and is left "outside" the range of things affected by the accessibility options. What do you think?
