Foreign JMS Providers with WebLogic Server does not close connection

          Hello All,
We tried to use wlsmqseries.zip classes (specially JNDI Mapper) for integrating
WebLogic Server with MQ so that we can incorporate XA transactions. We use LDAP
          context factory to bind MQ.
We found a number of LDAP connections are getting opened by JNDIMapper, but it's
          not getting closed.
Can some one give some clue to this ?
Also any suggestion to serve the current purpose is welcome.
          Thanks,
          Sudarson

What version are you using? "wlsmqseries.zip" does enlisting of MQ JMS
sessions in XA transactions, but WLS 8.1 does that for you out of the box.
If you're using 8.1, it would be better to use the new 8.1 features for
          foreign JMS providers.
A place to start is the "Using WebLogic JMS with EJBs and Servlets" section
of the JMS programming documentation for 8.1, and there have been many other
posts on this newsgroup with details. (There also appear to be quite a few
customers using this feature in their own systems, judging from the number
          of posts.)

  • Why weblogic server does not activate changes after bounce?

    Hi All,
We are working with weblogic server 10.
When ever changes are made in console, saved and activated , everthing seems fine.
Once the server is bounced , last change which was made before bounce does not reflect in the console. All the changes before the last change looks good. Can someone please guide me in this?

Your changes should be written into your domain's config directory tree ( config/jdbc would hold the various jdbc pool definitions ).
Does your host / OS have some sort of delayed disk write?
Also, when you activate your change in the console, you should be able to see the changes in the config directory's files on the admin server's host

  • Problems with Tomcat Server : Does not respond (Sometimes) - Plz Need Help

I have a web application running on Tomcat 4.1.31. (SUN/Solaris)
Clients access through iPlanet Web Proxy (SUN/Solaris).
Theres a class that build a generic form (it return html codes) then it's affected in the JSP page :
    MyClass class = new MyClass();
    <%= class.getHtmlCode() %>
the size of the form is variable (100Ko to 1,5Mo)
When i m using the proxy, sometimes the server does not respond when he do the affectation <%= class.getHtmlCode() %>.
If i call the page without proxy it work.
The problem seem not depending of the size of the form. Without proxy it always work. And with proxy sometimes the server does not work.

    Hi Leon,
If you are getting the ZENworks menu when holding down the Ctrl-Alt keys, PXE/PDHCP seems to be doing the right thing. Routing issues also don't seem the case as you can pull down the first PXE boot files....
The server running PXE, I assume it also runs the TFTP and Imaging services?
These services are also running a recent version of Zen 7 (IR3/IR4)? A little more info on these components and what server they are on would be good :)
    Cheers,

  • Weblogic Server does not show managed server started when I used the Windows service to start it.

I created a windows service to start a managed server and the services was created successfully and stated.  WHen I go to the Weblogic Server Admn console, the server is still showing shutdown.  Whenm I try to start it, it returns with error that the the service is not able to start.  Has anyone ran into anything similar.  I am running on Windows Server 2008R2 and running Weblogic Server 10.3.6 and Fusion Middleware 11.1.6.

    Hi,
For starting managed server as windows service there is no need of nodemanager .
Please follow the steps given in the below doc:

    The question is:
How  can I revert the changes or reconfigurate a file to fix the problem and start weblogic?
    Any idea?

  • Foreign JMS QCF and Weblogic Sever Session Pool

              Hi!
We have Weblogic 6.1 SP2 installation.
We are trying to use JMS Server session pool and connection consumer configuration
with MQSeries QCF registered to weblogic JNDI via startup class.
Upon server startup weblogic is throwing ClassCast exception for QueueConnection.
It seems weblogic is expecting QueueConnection implementation by weblogic.
Any suggestions or alternative way of doing it.
              Thanks

    Hi Jay,
Server session pools do not support foreign providers.
The preferred way to integrate foreign providers is via MDBs or
via the Messaging Bridge (bridge available in SP3). For a
comprehensive write-up on integrating foreign providers with
WL see the whitepaper "Using Foreign JMS Providers with
              WebLogic Server" on dev2dev.bea.com.

  • Core dump are creates even though my server does not crash

I am having an issue with a large number of core dump files getting generated by jrockit that occupies the disk space daily almost 8 files are generated of size 150 to 800 MB
However, what amazes me is that the weblogic server does not crash
I have also checked the logs there where certain errors but not something that could crash my servers and the weblogic server was running all the time.
I know I can stop the generation of core dump files by using ulimit. But if I do so and if my Jrockit crashes It wont generate the core dump file that would be needed
    My configuration is
    a)     WLS Version:10.3.2.0
    b) OS Type: Oracle Solaris 10 on SPARC (64-bit)
    c) JDK Vendor & Version: BEA JRockit(R) (build R27.6.5-32_o-121899-1.6.0_14-20091001-2106-solaris-sparcv9
    Any help is greatly appreciated
As the files are taking up all the space

Did you get a solution for this issue ? I have the same HD which works fine on two other Mac Book pros (Snow leopard and mountain Lion) but does not work on a brand new mac book pro with Mavericks

    Hi,
This forum is for issues migrating from non-Oracle databases to Oracle.
It would be better to ask this question in one of the Weblogic servers but as there are several Weblogic forums but it may be better to try this one first -

    Hi!
I followed the following steps to configure a clustered environment with two machines:
    - installation of Oracle WebLogic Server 11g (10.3.3) in machine A and B
    - creation of a domain using configuration wizard (in machine A)
    - distributed domain using pack (machine A) and unpack (machine B)
    - startup of node manager in both machines (both reachable)
    - creation of a Managed Server 1 in machine A
    - creation of a Managed Server 2 in machine B
    - startup of the Managed Server 1 in machine A (it works fine)
    - startup of the Managed Server 2 in machine B , it fails with the following error:
    <Nov 30, 2010 12:39:28 PM WET> <Critical> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000362> <Server failed. Reason:
    There are 1 nested errors:
weblogic.management.ManagementException: [Management:141223]The server name server_migration_2 specified with -Dweblogic.Name does not exist. The configuration includes the following servers {AdminServer}.

The config.xml file located at ../user_projects/domains/mydomain/config/ in Machine 1 has the full environment setup, however the same file on machine 2 only has admin server configuration.
Why it happens? These two files must be synchronized? The config.xml in the Machine 2 is used by who? Admin server uses this file?
    Thanks a lot
    A.

If your newly created managed server is on a 3rd machine you will still need to 'pack/unpack', to transport the configuration files to the new machine.
If your 3rd managed server share domain_home with an already existing managed server you wont need to do this. In this case when a new managed server is created in the admin console, the admin server will propogate the change to the existing managed server which will update its configuration files in its local domain_home. The new server when starting will pick up this updated details from the shared location and will be able to start.
You were doing the pack after creating admin server alone. So the config files transported to remote machine has only details of Admin Server and using that you were trying to start the managed server, where i it clearly failed saying that it can't find that managed server name in its configuration.
If you have adavance knowledge of how many managed servers you need to create , at the time of domain creation, the right way is to configure all the man servers in the domain configuration wizard and then use pack/unpack to distribute the configuration files to each of the remote machine where the managed servers run.
    Hope it makes sense.

I bought a new imac running Loin with Office 2011. I am the only mac in the office and the Server we use to access emails runs exchange 2003 and my IT person says the imac is not compatible with the server. The server does not want to let me access using any email software other than webmail access through our website. It looks as though 2011 is not compatible with 2003 per some searches online, but what are some options I have to gain full access again? I purchased parallels in hopes that this my help and I am able to use remote desktop connection to log on to server but can not drag and drop files I need. There is a shared drive on that Server we all use to exchange files.
The two main issues are gaining access to my email again and ability to drag and drop files from mac to pc. I hope this is enough info to get some solutions.
PS - IT person says my iMac's IP is what his server does not understand so that is why I can not login.

Office 2011 is not compatbile with Exchange 2003.
I suggest you post further Office related questions on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac software:
