Foreign Trade and Trade Collaborator

Dear SAP Gurus, I would like to know about foreign trade SD in India and how is it different with North America Foreign trade. Also I would like to know if we need Trade Collaborator to carry out Foreign trade.
Your urgent reply would be highly appreciated and awarded.
Regards
Hans Raj Meena

SAP-GTS (Global Trade Solution) covers NAFTA & EU trade agreements.
India has trade agreement called SAFTA and I don't know whether this trade agreement is similar to NAFTA or EU agreements.
Check whether SAFTA is covered under SAP-GTS

    Check the customizing settings under

  • Firm Zone and Trade off Zone in Scheduling Agreement

    Dear All
Please explain in detailed the concept of Firm Zone and Trade off Zone in Scheduling Agreement, and it's effects in MRP run, i.e. If i take a MRP run for a material whci is having firm zone as 30 days and trade off zone as 60 days then what will be the result of MRP. The Material MRP type is VB
    Thanks and Regards
    Manoj

    Hi,
Firm zone is the time frame in which you cannot change your orders (schedule lines) that you have ordered from a vendor in any way (Date change nor quantity change).
Trade off zone is time frame within which you can make changes to your procurement proposals, these changes are acceptable from vendor's side.
These time frames are agreed with the Vendor and then inserted for each scheduling agreement in 'Additional data'.
For your example if you take firm zone 30 days and trade-off zone 60 days, the check starts from current day on which MRP runs. For exampe current day is 1st Oct, all the procurement proposals with delivery date within 30 days that is till 1st September are firm orders, which MRP will not change in any case (You can find such orders with * in front of them in MD04 list). Beyond 1st september they are in trade off zone, in which MRP can modify them.
MRP types (VB in your case) have no correlation with these zones.

  • Galaxy S4 free after rebate and trade in? apparently not

In February there were ads on TV and on Verizon website about Getting S4 free after rebate and trade in. Purchase online for $150 and get $50 rebate and automatically get $100 trade in value on smartphone in working order.(mine was)  I only got the $50 rebate and only $5.00 trade in value. Now Verizon customer service says there was no such promotion. My son saw it on TV and I saw it on the website. It was obvious. I met all the requirements now verizon not honoring it.
Anyone else remember this or have a problem?

i look at verizon smartphone pricing every day on the website & unless verizon tv adds are different in different parts of the country (which i find hard to believe) i haven't seen any promotion like you describe.
what you describe i see at costco, best-buy, fry's electronics & others trying to draw folks in, then when the rebate doesn't come in, the buyer complains to verizon.
i seem to recall back in feb, the price jumped from $99 w/2 year to $199 & it's been back at $99 since the s5 was introduced at the big conference a few weeks ago.

  • Maintaining separate GR/IR accounts for Trade and Intercompnay affiliates

    Hello Gurus,
Can you please tell me as how to maintain two separate GR/IR accounts  one for the third party trade and the other for Inter company affiliates.  I want all my Inter company transactions to be recorded against a separate GR/IR account.
Can some one enlighten me as how this can be achieved. An apt response is very much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.
    Vijayanth

    Hi Gudur,
Thank you for your reply. Well, I would want to retain the valuation class for the material. But the GR/IR clearing account for all
the inter company postings should go to a different account( a separate GR/IR account for I/C for consolidation purpose)  based on the Trading partner in the vendor master. I figured it out using a substitution rule.
    Thanks for your reply again.
    Regards,
    Vijayanth

When my iphone 6 plus ships, can I go into verizon and trade it in for the regular iphone 6?

Yes if they have it. You have a 14 day worry free period to do so. You can also call in for exchange but they'll charge you for it until it arrives back at their warehouse and charge falls off.

  • What is the difference between Campaign and Trade Promotion?

    hi experts,
What is the difference between Campaign and Trade Promotion?
    regards,
    babu

    Hi,
Campaign serve operative marketing planning. They describe actions that are carried out, for example mailing actions, product promotions, and telemarketing. Crieria such as target groups, products, documents, people responsible, and the budget are defined in the campaign for these activities.
Campaign are basically used for operative marketing planning and execution.
Trade Promotions are Marketing activity used by industries that sell into the retail channel or through brokers or wholesalers. A trade promotion takes place within a specific time period and aims to increase brand capital, brand awareness, and market share. It is also used to increase sales volume or to launch new products or product lines.
Trade promotions are structurally similar to other marketing objects, except that trade promotions are targeted at a key account.
A trade promotion has a header that provides overview information about the trade promotion, such as the intended key account, the product planning basis, the trade promotion objective, funds plan details, and trade promotion status.
Assignment blocks contain specific information pertaining to, for example, trade promotion dates, products, and causals.

  • I dropped my iphone 4s in water and everything works but the backlight. I have heard rumors that I can take my damaged iPhone into an apple store and trade it in for a new phone and pay the difference. Is this true?

Apple offers an out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price, which pays for an exchange at a discounted price off the full retail sales price.

  • Samsung Tab S Trade In Trade Up Declined

I went to one of your stores with a 10" Polaroid tablet to trade in for the current trade in trade up promotion and was declined because the tablet is not in your system.  When I called your customer service line I was told that not all tablets qualify, even though it specifically states "any working tablet".  I would like to get some assistance with this promotion so I can take advantage of it.

    Hello flameskyefox,
This promotion is certainly one I would want to take advantage of if I had a tablet to trade in. I am sorry if you were inconvenienced by being turned away by the store. I hope I can help shed some light on this for you.
The store associate should have been able to qualify you for this if it was processed correctly in our Best Buy Trade In system. If they were unsure of how to process this, or unsure of the answer they were providing you, they should have asked a supervisor or manager in the building for assistance. The tablet (excluding Barnes & Noble Nook and eReaders) will not qualify if it doesn’t power on, has a cracked screen or has any signs of water damage. So not all will qualify, per say. You may find more information on this promotion by clicking here.
If your tablet is free of those exclusions, I will reach out to the leadership at that location and ensure they are aware of all of the necessary information for this promotion. Which store did you visit?

  • Trade in Trade Up Offers to Surface 3

I have a Nokia N810 Tablet with which I had dropped by two different stores, but they found out it is not in their database listed as Tablet, rather, it's listed as Cellphone. By all googleable definition from Wiki and beyond, it's a TABLET all in all. Pls kindly post me instructions as how to proceed in store to get this traded in successfully. Thanks so much in advance.

    Hi philtiamo,
Welcome to the Best Buy forum!
A tablet does not need to be in our Trade-In system to be eligible for the current trade-in offer; however, not every product will be eligible for a trade-in.  If your Nokia N810 is not considered an everyday tablet, then it may not qualify for the $50 Best Buy gift card.  I can see where it is listed as a tablet on other websites, so it may be left up to a store manager to make the final decision.  What store locations did you visit?  I can see about partnering with them to ensure they have the accurate promotion details.
