Foreign trade:export and foreign trade:export

hi
i just want to know if we can maintain two different country of origin for foreign trade:export and foreign trade:export views in material master record.
Ex
scenario:- if i am importing a material from india and export the same to china.

Hi Mohanty,
we cannot maintain two different country of origin for foreign trade:export and foreign trade:export views in material master record.
As the same good is been traded, but the effect of taxation and the business quota system (for example apparal, indid has a quota to trade 10% ), similarly the rate of taxation differ by the amount of value addition done in the country.
As part of obeying the business process we cannot maintain two different country .
With regards,
Lakshmi Narayana

the material that you import from india to export to China will not change its origin during this transition.
It the origin is India, it is still India even you export it from Singapur to China.
If you import this material from several sources and each has a different country of origin, then you can manage this only with batches, as you can maintain the CoO in the batch.

Using your example: India is the country of origin and China the country of destination - you don't need 2 countries of origin.
Country of Origin = Country where the material comes from

  • Legal Unit and Foreign Trade organization are not in same country

    Hi all,
We are currently working on a Maquiladora project under which our plants in Mexico will be assigned to a US company code.
However, when we try to define this org structure in GTS, we are getting the below warning message while assigning the Legal Units (with MX address) to the FTO (US address). The system allows us to save the config, but it doesn't appear to work correctly. For example, when I simulate an import into MX plant, the system is applying the US legal regulation rather than MX.
Has anyone encounterred this error or any suggestions? (One idea we thought about is to define the FTO with a MX address, not sure if this would be the right thing to do; one additional problem is, the given FTO also includes other US plants for which we do want to apply US legal regulation, should we rather define an entirely separate company code (US address) & FTO (MX address) for the given MX plants??)..Can someone shed some light on this subject? Thanks in advance. -Raj Palanivel.
Below is the full details of the warning/error:
Legal Unit xxx and foreign trade organization yyy are not in same country
    Diagnosis
You tried to assign  foreign trade orgnaization yyy in in US to legal unit xxx in MX.
This is not permitted. You must create the legal unit and the foreign trade organization in the same country.
    System Response
The system does not permit this entry.
    Procedure
    Correct your entry.

    Hi Raj,
In GTS we can map the company codes to FTO's as one to one  and FTOs to company codes as many to one in the same way plants and legal units.
So in this case you can maintain one dummy FTO related to Mexico and assign it to the plants in mexico. But in R/3 you will map the plants in mexico to US company codes. For this SAP has provided some BADI's to implement this functionality.we have also have some similar functionality which we have implemented it at the time of transfering outbound deliveries. So use the following BADI /SAPSLL/IFEX_SD0b_R3 and method IF_EXTEND_CON_CDOC. you need to maintain one custom table for the organization units which needs to be transfered.

  • Unsuccessful export of foreign languages to Word

I have a document written in English that contains Greek and Turkish words and phrases and I have exported it to Word from Pages (v 3.0.2) and sent it on in that form thinking all was well. The recipient needs to convert the document from Word to Pagemaker (I think) for publication. Checking with 'Get Info" the Word document created was "Word 97 Format (doc.)
The problem is that the recipient tells me that the Greek and Turkish have turned into gibberish. I now know there are significant problems exporting from Pages to Word, but I need to find a solution. I have searched fairly widely, but no luck. One suggestion is that it is a keystroke issue, ie Mac Word keystrokes are not the same as PC Word keystrokes and that the solution could be to find a Mac user with Word installed and convert my Mac Word document to Word 97-2004 Format.
Does this make sense? Would it work? Is there another work-around - a different word processing application perhaps?
    Robert

It could be that those ancient apps do not support Unicode, which is now the standard for such multilingual text. You might try sending pdf, rtf and plain text versions to see if they come out any better at the other end.

  • Export and Excise

Hello friends  i am tryin to create an excise invoice for a particular customer. I think i have done most of the settings correctly but when i create a invoice it does create one but with a mess which says EXPORT DATA INCOMPLETE.... and then when I try to create an excise invoice (with J1IIN) with refer to the billing invoice.....its doesnt pick data from the invoice (for ex the price ,basic excise  16%, SED 2%, AED 1%  )...
Please help me with this problem ..itss urgent........if possible pls do  let me know of all the export settings to be done before creating the invoice.
After this with ref to the Excise invoice I have to create form are1 any info would be appreciated
    Appreciate your time and assistance
    Maddy

    <u><b>EXPORT DATA INCOMPLETE</b></u>
Sales and Distribution > Foreign Trade/Customs > Control Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents > Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents
Here keep in the first column all the codes of those countries to which you export to.
Indicator: Goods direction for declarations to authorities = 2.
Rest all fields = Standard settings should remain.
Still the accounting doc error is coming then goto VF02 > Header > ForTrade/Customs > put exit country as IN and save the invoice.
    <u><b>Create form ARE1</b></u>
    J1ILN > Indirect Taxes > Sales/Outbound Movements > Exports under Excise Regulations > Exports > Central Processing > J1IA101
Here create ARE1 with ref to outgoing excise invoice. To create make sure that you have settings done for Account Determination and Business Transactions under
              -  Logistics General > Tax on Goods Movements > India >   Account  Determination
               -  Logistics General > Tax on Goods Movements > India >   Business Transactions

    Hi
    Meddy,
Both are having the same excise duty effect. In both cases the duty will be not paid to excise authorities and both will be shown on invoice undeer forgone head. In both invoices you have to show all the duties which are applicable as tariff head. For gorgone duty case u have to prepare ARE1/ ARE3.
In case of export, material will be despatch to outside Inida       ( foreign customer ) and in case of deemed export u can sell the good wihtin the india aginst CT2 and CT3.
So in both the cases u need not to debit any of yr RG23C,A or PLA this will come in picture only when u sold duty paid goods to any customers.
    Hope this will help you.
    Thx.

Please Find Complete Notes on Foreign Trade and Ware House Management below:
    FOREIGN TRADE:
Listed below are the areas of Customizing you need to check to ensure you have fully maintained the foreign trade master data, check objects, and proposal objects. Because the system’s defaults depend on settings in Customizing, the more fully you maintain this data, the more complete the data in the purchasing and sales documents will be, and the more efficient the system will be to use.
You can access the Implementation Guide (IMG) to customize your area of interest via your project from the SAP standard menu by choosing Tools ® AcceleratedSAP ® Customizing ® Edit Project. • Question regarding export and import of Hyperion Security during upgrade

    Hi Guys,
We are upgrading Essbase, Integration Services from 7x to 9x which are utilizing Hyperion Hub and we are going to follow the method of uninstalling 7x and reinstalling 9x components.
Now my question is, what is the best way of transferring security from 7x to 9x. I heard that Advanced Security Manager can be used to export and import back security. Or is there any
    other way of doing it??
Can someone please enlighten me on this.
    Thanks in advance

First let me say that any software that comes without a save button should be sold with a warning label.
    Why?
Question 1:  I have having an issue comprehending how to save a photo.  In my case  I select the photo, zoom in on the subject, export it to my desktop. The pciture on my desktop does not incorporate the change. Am I missing a step? What do I need to do to export it with this change? I actually watched a You Tube video on this and could not see what i was not doing.
You must have selected the wrong option in the Export dialog box. Under "File Settings", you need to select JPG and not "Original". Of course, you probably need to do some additional viewing of videos (or some reading) to learn that most people's workflow does not automatically include a "Save" or "Export" after editing the photo. It's not a necessary part of Lightroom's workflow, unless you need the photo for some non-Lightroom activity.
Question 2: I just installed Lightroom and am trying to import my 12k strong photo collection. The Import button pulls in about 2k and then cannot find anymore. The photos are stored in folders by date within a master folder. I am selecting the master folder. I can go in and import the sub-fodler individually. However i do not want to do that 200 times. There is no apparent way to go into the subfolder level and select more than one folder.
In the Import dialog box, on the left, under "Source", there is a checkbox that says "Include SubFolders". Make sure this is checked.
Seriously, you need to spend some time reading introductory material about LR because Lightroom does not work like any other photographic software you might have used in the past. You are handling it as if it was no different than standard photo editing software, and you are going to be frustrated if that is your mindset. I am using Iphoto 11 ver 9.4.3 on mac using oxs 10.8.5 i want to export calendar projects to an external hard drive. my goal is to store them in an external hard drive so it doesn't use up memory on the mac hard drive. is it possible to copy the specific projects without copying the entire library? what is the easiest way to do this? i have tried export and import but it didn't seem to work.

    What do you not understand?
You can duplicate the iPhoto library (command - D ) and delete everything except the project and its photos from the copy and move that
    Or
However the calendar takes very little space - it is simpy database entries - it is the photos in the calendar that take space - and for most people you would wnat to keep those photos in your library
you can use a photo in 50 calendars and it still is only one photo in your library - as I explained calenders do not exist as such - they are simply database entries telling iPhotop how to display the calendar - they take almost no space at all

Previous contact information with your organization (DURIM):
Dennis - i just finished my audition trial and bought the subscription the 2014 version.
created by durin in Audition CS5.5, CS6 & CC - View the full discussion
DURIM - Okay.  I would expect the "Cache Warning" message because your default directories would not be the same as the ones in the settings file I generated.
If you go back to the "7.0" directory and open the "Logs" folder, can you copy the "Audition Log.txt" file and send it as an attachment to [email protected]?  We'll take a look in that logfile and see if it gives us more information about why this is failing now.
Also, do you have any other Adobe applications installed on this machine, such as Premiere Pro?  If so, do they launch as expected or fail as well?
I do have the trial Pro version of Adobe reader, but I have not activated it, because I fear the same thing will happen did it. I cannot afford to activate the subscription for that product and take the chance of it not working either. I depend on those two programs religiously. Here is the files that you requested. • Premiere exports and rendering too slow

I’m using Premier Pro CC on a 2012 MacPro (aluminum box) with 16gigs or RAM.
I have to say that being a long time Avid Media Composer editor I am very, very pleased with the UI and overall capability of Premiere. It’s loaded with tiny nuances that Avid should have incorporated a long time ago. I am in love with this software.
Or at least I was until I went to export my files. What a slog! I’m sorry but the exports are out to lunch. A six minute 1080p 23.976fps sequence with a few titles, a basic colour effect and two tracks of audio takes…. 3 hours?!?!?? What the heck? If I was rendering an equivalent sequence in the Avid I’d be done rendering any effects and exporting a source QT by the time I finished this sentence. And if I set that QT up to encode in Sorenson I’d have my MP4 done by the end of this email. And the Avid doesn’t need to use any external hardware to ramp things up. In addition, just typing this email while Media Encoder pushes through the output (even with Premiere closed) is causing my whole system to slow down to a point that I find my computer basically unusable for anything else. 16 gigs of RAM and 2x six core processors and it’s acting like it’s 1996 running OS7.
Now wait, I hear you say, you can do so much more in Premiere. Yes, I can. But the moment I drop, for example, an After Effect link in there…I can feel the system trying to race glaciers - and losing. What I don’t get is if I were to use the the equivalent clips in After Effects doing the equivalent type of effects the render would be way faster than Premiere --- and it’s the same company! And don’t get me started on Speedgrade. I’m better off doing an oil painting of each frame than using that Dynamic Link function. And teh dynamic links are what encouraged me to try all this in the first place.
Pre-rendering everything is not only awkward but appears to have no effect on the export time - or playback for that matter. In fact I find the rendering of effects rather confusing and horribly inaccurate - both in its estimate of time to go and the number of frames to process. And what is a 'video preview’ anyway -is that the number of clips? Effects?  Effects and clips? Grains of sand on a beach? And why does it’s number keep going up too? It just keeps climbing for no reason I can see. C’mon Premiere…it’s basic math- you count how many frames and then that’s the total number of frames. Why are you recalculating? And did you borrow your time estimate code from Windows 98’s progress bar? One thing it does tell you accurately is how much time you’ve been waiting. That’s handy (not). Oh and I sooooo love the fact that if I quit the rendering process it keeps NOTHING from what it did before. So i have two choices: quit this seemingly endless render to try something else only to find it didn’t help ... or stay put and watch my life drip away into nothingness. Right now, on a second sequence, it says "ETA - 13 seconds left" for, like the LAST 2 hours.
I can’t help but think Premiere is too caught up on render-free editing and it’s glorious Mercury Engine when they should be making it faster & easier to render effects for smoother playback and much faster exports. In my Media Composer I may not have as much robust real time function as I would like but it doesn't choke on the basics (title, colour crrection, dissolves) and the renders are so fast I don't care that I even have to render.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong but I’ll be damned if I know what. And no one else is talking. As I skip around the Google-sphere I’m amazed how many people are posing about speed issues (very common Google search result) and so many other editors are retorting “seems pretty normal to me”. No it ain’t. This is NOT normal. This is painfully slow and in no way reflects the current state of speed for import & exports in NLEs.
I’ve watched every tutorial I could find, picked over every preference, closed every other application, tried different media types, purged every bit of cache and even restarted with no discernible difference. At this stage I’d be thrilled to find out if I’m doing something wrong. But until then I’m afraid this software will not be a regular part of my tool set. This is very disappointing from Premiere given how everything else seems to work so well. Such a shame. This software could kick some serious butt otherwise.
Maybe Premiere will announce that they have a new render engine at NAB?…crossing fingers? Don’t think so.

    Thanks for the reply SAFEHARBOR11.
I agree, something isn't right. I've watched tutorials where the renders appear to happen in a "reasonable" amount of time and the numbers of frames and videos prviews never increases. So I don't know what is going on with me.
While I have researched into render/don't render workflow with Premiere I can say I tried both ways only out of desperation.
For my system, a MacPro from 2012, we got only one choice for a video card from Apple - ATI Radeon HD 5870. I tried to get a CUDA enabled card (3rd party) installed but despite tremendous research I could not find something that was authorized to work on my system. At the time I wanted the CUDA to accelerate by Sorenson encoding.
One 2011 post suggested  that my issue was related to corrupt media. They had suggested that I try and isolate the timeline down by testing one section at a time with exports until the exports went from fast to excruciatingly slow. As I was working on multiple sequences without common media between them I had reasoned that the software may not have liked my Sony F5 native media (although it plays it just fine). So I took the time to transcode all my footage and use that instead—  with absolutely no difference. Even if it did make a difference I’d be disappointed because working natively with my media in Premiere was a huge time saver, unlike the Avid which claims to work with native media but really it leaves the system and editing sow & unresponsive so I usually end up transcoding anyway.
My media encoder settings were the template h264 as a Youtube 720p, 23.976 file. Nothing remarkable there. (Although I did  try other settings to see if that affected anything - it didn’t).
