Foreign trade - legal control.

Hello,
Could you please tell me what skills/informations are needed to configure the Legal control? I mean although I understand the function and know how to configure, I have to read the foreign trade law to map the law into the system.
I think the information in foreign trade law is so huge and it is hard to define export control class number, license type etc in system by myself.
Do you have any experiences regarding this problem?
Many Thanks
Jean

Jean,
I have done a Foreign trade implementation.
The core team of the client are FT experts and they would tell you about the legal requirements. Your job is to map them in SAP FT.
In this process you would gain Knowledge about  Foreign trade regulations of that country. Remember its country specific.
The ECCN's are provided by the client. Info abt the same is extensivley available on the NET.
You have to get the list of all the mtrls which fall under the controlled cantegory of the respective commerce ministry and then start the config setting  these mtrls as relevant for FT checks.
Thanks

  • Foreign Trade - Legal Control for scheduling agreements

We are on version 4.6C and I am setting up the legal control for my company.  It seems to work quite well for sales orders but then when I went in to configure scheduling agreements it errors and tells me you cannot do legal control for document type "E" which are typically scheduling agreements.
I cannot find any documentation on this.  Does anyone know why legal control does not work for scheduling agreements and/or is this functionality available in the Global Trade Services module??
Thanks in advance for any and all help!!

  • Foreign Trade Control

Can some one tell me what I need to do to block my sales orders for SOME material numbers from delivering.
I have managed to configure the foreign trade control module but its blocking all item of item categories ZTAN instead of a few materials which have been identified to require licenses.
Can some send me detailed steps of Foreign trade legal Configuration?

You can maintain some value in "Sales: sales org.1" view for the field "DChain-spec. status".
By having some value here, for this material and for that particular distribution channel, deliveries / billing cannot be done.

Incompletion Procedure (Schema) for Foriegn Trade data is defined by Tcode VI29-Path is SPRO->SD->Foreign Trade/Customs->Control Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents->Incompleteness Schemas for Foreign Trade Data
First Check in your billing document in Header->Foreign Trade Data tab there is icon on right hand side top which is for incompletion procedure, there you can find which incompletion procedure is used and then check it in VI29

  • Foreign Trade Data Issue

    Hi All,
I have a problem while creating billing document.
System is showing that"Foreign trade data is incomplete".Because customer belongs to foreign country.I am maintaining country in customer master data:General tab page.
Is it required to map foreign trade if the customer belongs to country other than India?
If we give country other than India than during creation billing document: in foreign trade/customs:organization tab page: number of foreign trade data and FT basis doc. cat. is coming automatically. But if I maintain IN in customer master record it is not coming.
So my question is how to solve this so that if I maintain country other than IN in customer master record  than I can able to create billing document and release it to accounting..
Points will be awarded for a helpful answer.
    Thank and regards.

    Hi,
Listed below are the areas of Customizing you need to check to ensure you have fully maintained the foreign trade master data, check objects, and proposal objects.
Because the system’s defaults depend on settings in Customizing, the more fully you maintain this data, the more complete the data in the purchasing and sales documents will be, and the more efficient the system will be to use.
You can access the Implementation Guide (IMG) to customize your area of interest via your project from the SAP standard menu by choosing Tools - AcceleratedSAP - Customizing - Edit Project.
In the IMG, make entries in the appropriate items in the checklist below to ensure that the Foreign Trade application component is prepared for use.
    Check out the foll settings:

  • Export/import procedure for foreign trade field in PO item

    Hi Experts,
I met a problem in import PO. Is there a possible way to make the Export/import procedure for foreign trade field in PO item automatically be determined?
    Thanks,
    Emily

IF the import data tab shows up is depending on customizing for foreign trade data.
The setting is done in IMG
MM > Purchasing > Foreign Trade/ Custome > Control FT data in MM SD documents > Import screens in purchasing document

    Hi ,
    Please check the following :
    1. Mode of transport : in which you must have defined from country  and to country . If the mode of transport is defined as 1- sea  then we need to define office of exist . due to whih you are getting foreging trade data error . Use Tcode VF02 , enter the billing doc no and go header--> foregin trade data  and try to change mode of transport to "3" which is Road  and save the documnet . Now there will not be any error . If this is the issue then click F1  on the mode of transport , then click on the customisng icon then it will take you to the IMG where the configuration need to be done
If this is the case then need to main the Mode of Transport as  "3"  for all the values . At present i am in front of the system . Shall post the IMG settings tomorrow .
Please try above and post your findings .
    Thanks and regards

The configuration path is as given below :
    1. IMG>Sales and Distribution>Foreign Trade/Customs>Transportation Data>Define Modes Of Transport
In define modes of transports- you define mode of Tranports based on the country.
2.IMG>Sales and Distribution>Foreign Trade/Customs>Transportation Data>Default Values For Foreign Trade Header Data
In this node , we need to define / maintain as given below for  -
Goods direction example for despatch it is 2 -Dispatch / Export,
    Geography tab :
Departure country of export - CA
Destination country of export - BR
    Transport tab:
    ModeOfTrnsprt-Border - 3
    DomestModeOfTransp - 3
Like wise we need to do for all the Destintion countries .
Try this and this should work out

  • Mandatory field Export/Import Procedure for Foreign Trade

    Hello all!
Is there any possibilty to define the field Export/Import Procedure for Foreign Trade
within the infoset as a mandatory field?
Table T162 doesn't show me this field.
    Kind regards,
    Barbara

    Hello,
in customizing under "Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Foreign Trade/Customs --> Control Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents --> Incompleteness Schemas for Foreign Trade Data" you can create an incompletion procedure defininig the documents fields assigning a control type. Then in the subsequent customizing step "Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents" you can assign the Incompleteness schema to each country code, choosing import or export.
    Hope to be useful.
    Best regards,

  • Foreign trade and customs data should be picked automatically in delivery

    Dear All,
Foreign trade and customs data should be picked automatically in delivery note and in the invoice  once we enter it in the master data for L/C Local Sales for example country  Saudi arabia to Saudi Arabia in vi95 or any other transaction you have for this particular master data entry.please help

    Check the customizing settings under
IMG - SD - Foreign Trade/Customs - Basic Data for Foreign Trade -  Define Business Transaction Types And Default Value
And the data should be picked up from Material Master record in Foreign trade export view.
They are checked as mandatory fields according to customizing under:
IMG - SD - Foreign Trade/Customs - Control Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents - Incompleteness Schemas for Foreign Trade Data

    Hi all,
When creating billing (trcode VF01) I get an error as:" Foreign trade data incomplate."
How can I correct the error?
    Thanks&Regards

    Hi Feyyaz ,
You require to do the necessay configuration for Foreign Trade Data:
IMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Foreign Trade/Customs --> Basic Data for Foreign Trade --> (Do the necessary configuration here)
Sales and Distribution > Foreign Trade/Customs > Control Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents > Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents
Here keep in the first column all the codes of those countries to which you export to.
Indicator: Goods direction for declarations to authorities = 2.
Rest all fields = Standard settings should remain.
After the complete Congiguration, before PGI or before invoicing (before save) goto Header level & Item level and complete the For Trade/custom tab with necessarray information. If ur configuration and filled data is complete u got a Green signal on there.
    Plz check it.

  • Foreign Trade data incomplete at Billing

    Hi,
I get the incompletion log to enter foreign trade data, if a foreign customer is entered at the sales order. But i do not want an incompletion log as there wont be any foreign trade data.
However i checked VTFL and the copying requirement at header is maintained as 3, which i think is correct and Determ.export data - Blank
    Assignment Number - E
    Reference number -A
Can someone please explain how to maintain country specific settings for this incompletion log?
    I checked
IMG-> Sales & Distribution -> Foreign Trade/customs-> Control foreign trade data in MM & SD documents -> Foreign Trade Data in MM & SD Documents
But i dont understand what exactly is meant by country of origin? And how we should maintain it for all foreign customers?
    Thanks
    Keshini

    Hi Keshini,
    In VTFL...
Please try to maintain following settings:
    At Header:
    Copying requirements    003  Header/dlv.-related
    Determ.export data        B
    Assignment Number      E
    Reference number         B
Also, Check the Box: copy item number
At Item: (I am supposing your Item cat. as TAN
    Copying requirements    004  Deliv-related item
    Data VBRK/VBRP         007  Inv.Split (Rec/Div)
    Billing quantity               B
    Pos./neg. quantity          +
    Pricing type                    G
    PricingExchRate type     (Blank)
    Price source                  (Blank)
    Don't Check Box: Cumulate Cost
I hope this will resolve your issue.

    Hello,

    3) and 4)  they should be picked up from Material Master record, "Foreign trade export view".
They are checked as mandatory fields according to customizing under: "Sales and Distribution --> Foreign Trade/Customs --> Control Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents --> Incompleteness Schemas for Foreign Trade Data"

  • Foreign trade! Legal regulation control

    Hello Guys,
If someone has worked on FT-Legal Regulation, kindly tell me whether it is possible to control regulations on the basis of Sales Organisation rather than Country of origin(which is derived from plant).
The requirement is in Intercompany Business <b>wherein the delivering plant is the same</b> and the regulation needs to be picked on the basis of sales organisation.
    Ex :
Sales Org 1000 only blocks for Z2 and does not block for Z3
Sales Org 2000 only blocks for Z3 and does not block for Z2
Sales Org 5300  does not block for Z2 or Z3 Legal Regs

    Hi,
You can do it in OMSR...but you have to individually disable the fields.

In case of doubts please revert..
