Foreign trade! Legal regulation control

Hello Guys,
If someone has worked on FT-Legal Regulation, kindly tell me whether it is possible to control regulations on the basis of Sales Organisation rather than Country of origin(which is derived from plant).
The requirement is in Intercompany Business <b>wherein the delivering plant is the same</b> and the regulation needs to be picked on the basis of sales organisation.
Ex :
Sales Org 1000 only blocks for Z2 and does not block for Z3
Sales Org 2000 only blocks for Z3 and does not block for Z2
Sales Org 5300  does not block for Z2 or Z3 Legal Regs

Jean,
I have done a Foreign trade implementation.
The core team of the client are FT experts and they would tell you about the legal requirements. Your job is to map them in SAP FT.
In this process you would gain Knowledge about  Foreign trade regulations of that country. Remember its country specific.
The ECCN's are provided by the client. Info abt the same is extensivley available on the NET.
You have to get the list of all the mtrls which fall under the controlled cantegory of the respective commerce ministry and then start the config setting  these mtrls as relevant for FT checks.
Thanks
Vishal

  • Foreign Trade - Legal Control for scheduling agreements

We are on version 4.6C and I am setting up the legal control for my company.  It seems to work quite well for sales orders but then when I went in to configure scheduling agreements it errors and tells me you cannot do legal control for document type "E" which are typically scheduling agreements.
I cannot find any documentation on this.  Does anyone know why legal control does not work for scheduling agreements and/or is this functionality available in the Global Trade Services module??
Thanks in advance for any and all help!!

  • Foreign trade - legal control.

    Hello,
Could you please tell me what skills/informations are needed to configure the Legal control? I mean although I understand the function and know how to configure, I have to read the foreign trade law to map the law into the system.
I think the information in foreign trade law is so huge and it is hard to define export control class number, license type etc in system by myself.
Do you have any experiences regarding this problem?
    Many Thanks

  • Import/Export Legal Regulation Control w/ One Legal Regulation

    Hi,
In a separate thread, Dhillipan helped me configure a legal regulation using Country/Country Group (config activity: Activate Legal Regulations at Country/Country Group Level) which was very helpful to restrict Sales Orders / Deliveries from a specific country to a specific country group.  In addition to those export documents, I would also like to use the same legal regulation to prevent the export of inter-company purchase orders (import document) from Country BE to any country in the world. I assume I would have to reverse my logic and prevent the export of Product 123 from any country in the world to Country BE.
What are some suggestions to leverage the existing legal regulation for both import and export control from/to BE?
    For instance...
    Sales Orders / Deliveries:
Product 123 cannot be exported from BE to RU, AR and US, but can be exported to any other country using sales orders/deliveries (this has already been configured)
    Purchase Orders (Inter-Company):
Product 123 cannot be exported from BE to RU, AR and US, but can be imported to any other country using I/C purchase orders.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Chris,
Just to make sure my understanding is right. You need same kind of export check for Inter-company Purchase orders right? the same kind of check that we had configured for SO and Deliveries?
In standard all purchase orders are considered under Application level MM0A, which will be shown under Legal Control Import for Imports check. Relevant outbound deliveries will be used for export check.
So, performing export check on PO is not possible when you have this in MM0A level. There is a note available to alter the application level for I/C POs from MM0A to SD0A. But I don't think you should think of it just considering this particular requirement. But I believe your requirement will be taken care when a delivery is created for your I/C PO- Did you check that already?
But you may give a try with following settings for the same legal regulation in addition to whatever you have setup for export.
Country Group for RU, AR and US- Which u had created already. Activate imports check for same legal regulation at Country Group/Country level.
    LR1
ZGRP1 --- Not activated for Import
                      BE- Activated for Import.
This way, your STO will be blocked when there is an Import to RU, AR and US from Belgium. I assume this is what you needed.
As you know, you will need this strategy added in your determination procedure. Just ensure there isn't any impact to the existing SO/Del level checks.
Please try this once in sandbox. I haven't checked this in system like last time. So, I am not 100% sure this will work.

  • Foreign Trade Control

Can some one tell me what I need to do to block my sales orders for SOME material numbers from delivering.
I have managed to configure the foreign trade control module but its blocking all item of item categories ZTAN instead of a few materials which have been identified to require licenses.
Can some send me detailed steps of Foreign trade legal Configuration?

You can maintain some value in "Sales: sales org.1" view for the field "DChain-spec. status".
By having some value here, for this material and for that particular distribution channel, deliveries / billing cannot be done.
    thanks

  • Legal control in Foreign Trade

we are working on an implementation of foreign trade component for 5.0, in that we are facing following problems,
    1. Validity date of license is (showing 00.00.0000) not found & determined date of file entry is showing 00.00.0000, and it also says that license status: 4
Another error is ' No license determined! ' with RED signal.
Also' Status Legal Regulation ' is also in RED
Request you to kindly revert to us on the above ASAP, as we need to fix the same. Also guide us through configurations, if any.
    Thanking in advance.

Thanks once again, Siarhei!!  You are absolutely right!!  The text exists in the TTXOB, STXH and STXL tables.  And I'm sure you are right that we can get that data to pull into the scripting and print.
But do you by chance know why the text object EMBK does not exist in Text determination table (RVTXOBJ)?  If it did exist I could create an access sequence to go and get the data.  I would really prefer to set it up that way if possible so we can see the text in the sales order and then copy it into the delivery note and invoice.  If not, then of course I will use the scripting to get it printed.
    You have been so helpful!!
    Thanks very, very much!!

    Hi Sneha,
If you want to remove the legal control fields, you have to remove teh dynpro SAPLMGD1 2202 from the screen sequence .
You can do it in spro - Logistics General - Material Master - Configuring the Material Master - Define Structure of Data Screens for Each Screen Sequence ...   (better if you do it for a screen seunce not standard).

  • Legal Unit and Foreign Trade organization are not in same country

    Hi all,
We are currently working on a Maquiladora project under which our plants in Mexico will be assigned to a US company code.
However, when we try to define this org structure in GTS, we are getting the below warning message while assigning the Legal Units (with MX address) to the FTO (US address). The system allows us to save the config, but it doesn't appear to work correctly. For example, when I simulate an import into MX plant, the system is applying the US legal regulation rather than MX.
Has anyone encounterred this error or any suggestions? (One idea we thought about is to define the FTO with a MX address, not sure if this would be the right thing to do; one additional problem is, the given FTO also includes other US plants for which we do want to apply US legal regulation, should we rather define an entirely separate company code (US address) & FTO (MX address) for the given MX plants??)..Can someone shed some light on this subject? Thanks in advance. -Raj Palanivel.
Below is the full details of the warning/error:
Legal Unit xxx and foreign trade organization yyy are not in same country
    Diagnosis
You tried to assign  foreign trade orgnaization yyy in in US to legal unit xxx in MX.
This is not permitted. You must create the legal unit and the foreign trade organization in the same country.
    System Response
The system does not permit this entry.
    Procedure
    Correct your entry.

    Hi Raj,
In GTS we can map the company codes to FTO's as one to one  and FTOs to company codes as many to one in the same way plants and legal units.
So in this case you can maintain one dummy FTO related to Mexico and assign it to the plants in mexico. But in R/3 you will map the plants in mexico to US company codes. For this SAP has provided some BADI's to implement this functionality.we have also have some similar functionality which we have implemented it at the time of transfering outbound deliveries. So use the following BADI /SAPSLL/IFEX_SD0b_R3 and method IF_EXTEND_CON_CDOC. you need to maintain one custom table for the organization units which needs to be transfered.

  • Z4 report Foreign trade regulations  - S_ALR_87012405

    Hi all,
I was wondering if any of you could give me some hint of why Z4 report Foreign trade regulations  - S_ALR_87012405 does not show any data.
i have posted a FI invoice with SCB indicator from foregin country and get it paid. Even though I maintained the link of GL account with house bank, populate SCB data in house bank, activate the field status for both field status group and posting key, the report does not show any data at all.
What would be the possible missing setting to show the data in  Z4 report Foreign trade regulations  - S_ALR_87012405 report?
Thanks in advance for your advice
    Kind regards
    taro

The reason of report RFAWVZ40 does not display the results seems to be
    explained in note 204372
If the selection option for "Do not report st. cent. bank i" is empty,
the system classifies all state central bank indicators as not
reportable in accordance with common logic with selection options. So
the system does not create a message.
    Also check the following information:
'Clearing document type", this parameter is intended for a special
purpose (i.e. for certain document types which should not be regarded
as payment document), however for the "usual" case of reporting the
payments in Z4 this parameter should have the default value 'ZZ'.
Otherwise all document types will be processed in this special logic so
    that no item is reported.

  • Z4 report Foreign trade regulations SCB indicator (central bank key)

    hello all,
i was wondering what is triggering the Z4 report Foreign trade regulations report?
Is it the SCB indicator (central bank key)?
If an invoice is missing that indicator, could it be that the report shows no output?
You can find the indicator in FB03, go to the line item of the vendor, 'more data' tab.
Actually the indicator is triggered in MIRO from materials management.
If the indicator is missing, can it be inserted through another transaction code? I have tried in FB02 but the central bank key indicator isn't changeable...
    Regards,
    Pamela

    Hi Pamela Mungur,
I came across your thread in SDN regarding Z4 report, I am very greatful if you share your experience on below point:
      1. Is SCB indicator always need to input while posting Invoices (MM or SD) or Can we  input while posting Payment also.
    2. How can we Ensure, user always enter SCB in transaction data, as i cannot make it as mandatory at Field status definition level.
    3. I unable to find the Field to input SCB value while creating invoice through SD module.
Thanks in advance for your valuable time and effort. Please feel to ask to create new thread if required.
    Thanks...Venkat

  • Legal control--- legal regulation.

    Hi
Can anyone please give the difference between legal control and legal regulation.
I have little bit confusion between these two.
    please provide some examples.

Hi Gopala, In legal control maintain master data and business transactions in accordance with the legal requirements for imports and exports. Also use monitoring and simulation tools that help to  ensure that your business is compliant with current import and export laws. Legal control includes checking business transactions for products that require licenses, as well as the check for embargo situations for these business transactions. Activate legal control for imports and exports, along with embargo checks. Whereas the legal regulation defines how the system determines suitable export licenses based on the determination sequence, license types (which differ according to the government agency), and the export control classification number (ECCN). Legal regulations for export are based on the country of departure and should therefore be activated to check for export licenses. Legal regulations for import are based on the country of destination and should therefore be activated to check for import licenses. Ashish
