Forex revaluation posting of Drs Crs

I am running Tcode FAGL_FC_VAL for new GL foreign revaluation for debtors & creditors. I am running TCode on 14th April. Valuation key date is set as 31st March.
I have two doubts in it:
1. when i fill in details and i execute it, it shows me the entry. amount is also correct. But when i do batch processing, entry is not posted in the GL account.
2. it is also given that entry will be automatically reversed on 31st March 2009. But i think for automatic reversal, some Tcode or program needs to be run. So let me know about it.
Note: I am asking for automatic reversal on 31st March 2009 as my fiscal year end is 30th September.

Deepak,
1. Check SM37 with your user id to see if the batch job needs to be released. If this is the case it could be resolved by additional authorization by BASIS.
2. Your valuation key date should be september 30 ,since this is the date of your financial reporting. In the transaction screen "postings" tab flag "reverse postings". You can also specify the reversal posting date.

    Hi,
Forex revaluation history in new GL scenarios are stored in tables FAGL_BSBW_HISTRY ( for sub ledger accounts) and FAGL_BSBW_HST_BL (for GL accounts). If you cannot find a way out, please refer these and you will be able to get all you want!!

  • How to enter exchange rate on the fly in the forex revaluation screen?

    Hi,
Can i enter an exchange rate on the fly and overwrite the valuation area exchange rate in the FAGL_FC_VAL forex revaluation screen which will be used to revalue the open forex documents?

    Hi Raja,
You can do it. Not at all a problem.
In anycase it is one of the steps to Update the Exchange Rate before running the Foreign Currency Valuation.
If you want to Maintain a different Exchange Rate for only Foreign Currency Evaluation.
Create a userdefined Exchange Rate Type with your own Currency Exchange Rate.
Create your own Valuation Method in OB58 and set your Exchange Rate type in this Valuation Method.
While Running Foreign Currency Valuation select your Valuation method.
    It will solve your problem

  • Resetting the forex revaluation

    Dear all,
We had implemented SAP r/3 version ECC 5. We had revaluated the forex open line items as on 31.03.2007 through the T-Code of FAGL_FC_VAL.
However subsequently we had opened the previous period for posting the entries in foreign currency. Hence these also needs to be revaluated. However, we have not created a variant nor taken the output of the original foreign exchange revaluation.
Hence if we want to cancel the earlier revaluation, can you please let us know how do we cancel the earlier revaluation.
And once cancelled can we rerun the foreign exchange revaluation?
    With regards

    Hi Dhaval,
In transaction OB59 , select the valuation method. In the Valuation procedure change the tick in the radio button from Always Valuate to reset. then save.
Then run F.05, all the entries are reset.
but don't forget  to change the setting again to Always valuate and then run F.05 with revised exchange rate.
Hope this helps. Feel free to revert in case of further clarification.
Please assign points as way to say thanks

  • Forex Revaluation for customers and vendors

    Hi,
I ran FAGL_FC_VAL for period end for forex valuation of customers and valuation. Following Entry is posted:
    Unrealised Loss A/c... Dr
       To Forex balancesheet adjustment A/c
Forex balancsheet adjustment A/c is normal GL account.
Now i want to see vendorwise and customerwise forex valuation. Let me know how to get this report.

    Hi Deepak,
I feel very sorry to say that there is not report to display the foreign currency valuation for customers and vendors. But I think you could defined difference reconciliation account for customers and vendors, then defined a foreign
balancesheet adjustment A/c per reconciliation account in OBA1,then you could confirm the value in FS10K or FBL3N.
Hope this information are useful to you!

  • Does Foreign Currency Revaluation Post to an Account which is Open Item Man

    Hi,
When running the FC revaluation, it is not posting to an account which is Open Item managed.
I have read somewhere that FC Reval. does not post to accounts which are OI managed or the Recon accounts.
Is this correct? If yes, what are the option for posting to an account which is OI managed?

    Hello Deepak,
In FAGL_FC_VAL,the flag of revferse postings is only for "G/L account Balance valuation", not for open line items account(OPLA). and addition. and for  OPLA, the system was desiged to post reversal document Auto.
In case in your countries you are not allowed to reverse year-end foreign
currency valuation postings in the following year, pls. using the Delta Logic Foreign Currency Valuation, for the details pls. refer to note:960661.
Hope the above informations are useful to you!

  • Foreign currency revaluation posting.

    Hi Friends,
I have processed Foreign currency revaluation through F.05 and got a report onscreen showing without errors.
When i am looking in SM35 for batchinput monitoring error log and looking for G/L codes the postings work for G/L codes only but not specific Balancesheet control account.
Can you please give me your valuable answers.
    Regards,
    Baltha

    Hi
I have not understood your question clearly.
The message shows clearly processed without errors.
The log will show doc nos. Please see the document posted - will show the accounts posted.
Revaluation of FC of vendor and customer will get posted only to GL accounts - and not sub-ledgers.
By seeing the Exch  Loss/Gain- Unrealised - you will get these doc also- as per the posting dates.
These docs are special docs - where only co code currency will get posted (DMBTR) and no doc currency.
In all other docs both currencies will get populated eventhough it is same.
hope this will help you a little

  • F.05 - Revaluation posting are not clearing in GL Account (Gr/Ir)

    Hi Gurus,
We have FX revaluation issue. After execution of F.05 - the system performs an automatic reversal of the postings for the GRIR account on the first posting date of the new month but there is no valuation posting last posting date (month end).
So, FX revaluation is not clearing in GL Account.
Only one document posted for the first posting date of the new month and there is no posting for the month end valuation.
Please advice, on how to clear the FX entries that are currently sitting as open item in GL (Gr/IR).
    Thanks

    Hi Tejas,
Thank you for your reply. I have tried selecting various exchange rate type and was bale to post both valuation doc (for month end date) and reversal doc (for beginning of the date of next month).  In F.05 posting tab tab I couldn't find "Determine Automatically" filed. So not able to find what caused for these postings. This has been done for last 4 months and now there are open items setting in GL(Gr/Ir) which needs to be cleared.
One more thing I am hearing from user is that when they run f.05 the posting cleared automatically. When I tried myself it doesn't clear the line items but post the tow line items with debit and credit. Is something  I am missing here.
Please advise me on clearing the difference balances.
    Thanks

  • FOREX Revaluation error

    Hi Guys
When iam closing my books for the month June 2008, for revaluating the foreign currency we used F.05 to revaluate all the open item in foreign currency
The problem is we have not checked the "Reverse Postings - Check box"
Now the entry has been passed only for revaluating and the balance and same has been taken the accounting impact in unrealised gain or loss account.
But at all normal situation the same entry has to be reversed also - which has not happend as we didnt select the relevant check box
What is the best workable solution for this situation guys
1 - Is it ok to reverse all the relevant document and again run F.05 and iam not very sure whether the same will work or
2 - Is any other option for reversing only the forex entry is available
    Thanks in advance guys
    Warm Regards
    Bala

    Hello
Reverse the document after checking the tick box, in the same original period.
To reverse foreign currency transactions at the same rate as on the date of the transaction, chech the SAP notes, where although you don't need to apply any NOTES, the procedure is mentioned.
Check the Market Place > Notes.

  • Foreign Currency Revaluation Posting and Reversal

Hi any one give a fix for the below issue.
We have done foreign currency valuation Posting in the month end through F.05.Unfortunatley the reversal posting is not happening on the first day of the next month.Anyone tell me what will be the error and fix for not getting reverse posting,
    Thanks in Advance.

Hi..Check the all parameters in F.05
Check with SAPF100 with flag 'Balance sheet preparation valuation' active. The value difference shows the amount
saved in BSEG-BDIFF Field. This field is only updated by SAPF100 when the flag 'Balance sheet preparation valuation' is activated.
For open items, the fundamental distinction, whether you set the  'Bal.sheet preparation valuatn' indicator (POST_UPD) or not, is very important.
Please note that this is the expected system behaviour after running SAPF100 with "Bal sheet preparation" set, if SAPF100 is run with "balance sheet prep" flag, the system does create a valuation document only, but no reversal document. And then field BDIFF is updated on open items.
Even if you reverse the valuation documents manually, the valuation difference (field BSEG-BDIFF) in the document is not changed.
Please also refer to the attached note 87538  and 545032 regarding information on the posting run and when postings are reversed and when they are not. This note also gives more information on the difference in behaviour between selecting the "balancesheet preparation" flag and not selecting it,
I hope you will get idea

    please advice.
    Thanks
    regards,
    ng chong chuan

    Hello,
Check whether flag of write classic  gerneral ledger(GLT0) is activated in SM30,V_FAGL_ACTIVECCL.
If not, no data will updated into GLT0 when you creating doc.
You could also check whether there is data updated into faglflexa/faglflext and bseg/glt0.

  • Calculation of Depreciation on Net Book Value after posting Revaluation on

How to calculate the depreciation on Net book value after posting Balance sheet revaluation ABAW? The depreciation is been calculated on APC and not on NBV, as the APC of asset has been revalued after the revalution posting, ideally the next period depreciation should be calculating on the new NBV, but the system is not doing this. Is there any specific configuration that Iam missing here.
    Kindly Reply.

  • Posting Surplus on asset revaluation

    Good day all,
Please can someone advise on how to go about posting surplus on asset revaluation. I mean the steps/stages, the tcodes/menu path etc.
    Thanks

    hi dear
see config steps are as follows, if you maintain revaluation in same depreciation area i.e. 01:
1.(OADB) in the dep area 01 mark fields, revaluation, transfer of reserve and rev ord dep as all values allowed.
    2. (OAYR)in specify intervell and posting rule mark revaluation button on.
    3. (AO90)assign the gl account in the asset classes which have to be revalued in assign g/l accounts area.
    4. (AUFW) if going for one time rev .give seperate rev measure.in define rev measure screen.
    5.  post revaluation in abaw.
    6.  run revaluation posting in ar29.
now after run the asset balances will increase but for the g/l balances to reflect reval amount .during depreciation run the revaluation amount hit. you can post surplus or defecit in ABAW .

  • No batch session created for forex run error

    Hello
We have run the forex run on 31st may and have included the reversal as well(1st June). This got completed sucessfully with revaluation and its reversal the first day of next month. After a week we reset the forex run, then it should reverse both the revaluation on 31st May and reversal posting on 1st June. However when the reset was run ,the period 31st may was closed which was noticed after the forex reset run was .We selected create postings with the batch session and also checked to create batch session if any errors.
During the reset ,the reversal postings on 1st June got reversed but the forex revaluation on 31st may didnt get reversed(as period was closed). But there is no batch session created.
Please let us know why the session hasnt got created or what could be the reason why batch session in SM35 is not found,if the period was closed for reversal during reset it should have created batch session.
    Please advice.

    Hi
If your reversal posting have been generated for 1st June, check also in SM35 if there is a batch session in error under Incorrect Tab/In Process/In Background Tab of SM35

  • Foreign Exchange Revaluation Programme ( F.05) is calculating duplicate

    Hi experts,
We have an issue with F.05 . System Calculating Forex revaluation considering already valuated invoices ( Documents).
    Eg:  Vendor Invoice   1  -  with Exchange Rate : 40   ;         Valuation Day Exchange Rate : 45 ,.
First time F.05 , system considered Vendor Invoice 1 and posted correctly with 5 /- Exchange Rate Difference
After that we have entered Vendor Invoice 2 - with Exchage Rate : 42    ;     Valuation Day Exchange Rate : 45
Now If you run F.05 , System Considering Vendor Invoice 1 as well as 2 and Posted  8 ( 5 from first Invoice and 3 from second Invoice) .
Customer requirement is system should pickup 2 nd Invoice only , to be posted 3 /- instead 8 /- since 5 /- already posted.
Do we required apply any correction notes , Please suggest .
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi
I think logically its wrong. What system is doing is correct.
see when  you are calculating frist time system differance for the first bill say its 5/- once you calculate its get reverse immidatete on next date. so there is no impact in your accou t from next day. again in next period when you are calculating the system taking both the bill into consideration and posting say 8 /-. so i feel its a correct  way of calculating .
