Forgot Iphone 5c passcode

My sister forgot her iphone 5c passcode, or so I'm told. I've been trying to reset it but so far no luck, each time I thought i successfully reset the Iphone it doesn't work and keeps asking me for the passcode. I've been read somewhere that says that it has an activation lock and you can't bypass that. So is my sisters phone a paper weight or can this be fixed. IMO if this bricks the Iphone then that's a really ****** way of making 500+ dollar devices.

If the iPhone is asking for an AppleID and password that your sister does not know, you have indeed
met Activation Lock. Find the receipt that proves your sister is the original purchaser of the iPad
and have her take that receipt, government issued photo ID and the iPad to an Apple store where they
may be able to assist her. Make an appointment first to avoid delay.

Where - what retailer in what country - did your sister purchase this iPhone from? What country is she in
now? What makes you think the iPhone is Activation Locked? If there is an error message, what is the
exact complete wording of the error message?

Connect the iPhone to the computer you usually sync with and use iTunes
on that computer to restore your iPhone. Then reinstall your information from
iCloud/backup/where ever you keep your copy of the data on your iPhone.

I changed my iPhone 5 passcode recently because my friend knew my old one & was going through my phone, so I changed it, but I forgot it.
Now it's disabled & says to connect to itunes. I try to connect it to iTunes & it doesnt connect unless I enter my passcode, which is kind of dumb, how does that help me?
So now I know I have to restore my phone (unfortunately), and apparently that is the only way I can fix this.
Now, I really don't want to lose everything on my phone, contacts, photos, music, etc. so I'd like to back it up onto iTunes on my PC, but I can't because in order to do that I need to know the passcode. Now I can't try to remember it because it doesnt give me hour restrictions to enter my passcode again anymore. How do I back everything up or sync it to my computer without the passcode? Is there anything Apple can do about it?
I don't use iCloud because people used to be able to get into it and save my personal photos and stuff.

You should already be backing up your phone on a regular basis, not when an accident occurs.

I have forgotten my iphone 6 passcode and I have tried to restore the phone in both iTunes and icloud. The problem is that I never connected it with icloud or iTunes. Every time I try to restore it on iTunes it either tells me I need to enter the passcode (which I don't know) or it says that the disc is full. Im not sure what it means when it says that. FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug.
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.

I know you can restore from a back-up, but my only back up is too recent for me to restore from it (It still has the passcode). I cannot just restore it either, because I use Hughesnet, and am limited to 700 megabytes a day, and can't download the IOS 7 update. Anyone have any tips as to how to unlock it? Thanks!

There is no way around a passcode lock apart from entering the correct passcode or restoring to factory settings.

If you forgot the passcode, you'll have to restore it to remove the passcode, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212. If it is running iOS 7 with Find My iPhone enabled, you'll have to force it into recovery mode in order to restore it, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 (or erase it using Find My iPhone on icloud.com).

The only reason you use bluetooth between iPad/iPhone its to share the internet from iPhone to wifi only iPad.
In order to see the bluetooth connection, you must first enable the Personal Hotspot on the iPhone.
Then on the iPhone, open Setting s> Bluetooth.
Then open the Bluetooth on the iPad adn pair teh devices.

So i have an iPhone 4s with ios 7 installed. I had just changed my password and i guess i didnt remember it properly so now im locked out of my phone. I dont know what to do. It says "Iphone disabled". I've tried to restore it and back it up with the most recent back up but i guess with ios 7 it doesnt all me to. Hi, I am writing to ask how I can reset or change my iphone 5c passcode; without having to restore my phone settings. My daughter suggested I set-up a password to protect my phone, however, I am unable to remember to what it is!! I set-up the word passcode, so it would be harder for a stranger to get into my phone, but now I am the one who can't get in. Please Help!! Thank you

For the record, AFAIK, with iPhones running iOS7.0, and Activation Lock active, there are only two ways to remove a forgotten passcode: 1. Force the phone into recovery mode & restore it...any computer can be used; 2. Login to iCloud.com, from any computer, and erase the phone. Once done, the phone can be restored from backup, if a backup exists. Either method requires knowing the original Apple ID/Password, that was originally used to activate the phone.
There is another complication I've run into: The Sim pin. There are carriers that still require sim pins. If the phone has a sim pin, you'll be stuck in a catch 22, in that you can't activate the phone without removing the sim pin, but removing requires the phone be activated. Only solution I'm aware of is to either borrow a sim without a sim pin, or get a new sim from your carrier.

Its simple - if you honestly cannot remember a single piece of security information associated with the account, or even the name of the AppleID itself, the only possability of help is to call Apple and ask them if there is anything they can do. There is nothing anyone here or elsewhere can possible do to help you.
Apple offers several means of ensuring you can recover an account or AppleID, but if you cannot remember a single one of those security features, then only Apple can, if at all possible, help you and only then if you pick up a telephone and talk to them.
The strong odds are that even Apple will not help you. I know that with the two step verification option, if you cannot at least remember two of the three security features used with that system, they will tell you the account is simply lost to your for good. They can only be help responsible for helping you recover information up to a point - at some point, it all comes down to you remebering at least some of your own information.
