  • I forgot my password to log into my MacBoook Air

I forgot my password to log into my MacBoook Air, using OSX 10. Rats. I was told that I can reset the password by opening and using password utility from OSX recovery and that there is an article on Apple support that will tell me how. I looked and can't find the article. Can anyone suggest how to do this? I am stuck on my Log In screen feeling silly about resetting my password to keep my kids off of the computer - and then forgetting the password.I am pretty sure I have the latest version of OSX - 10.7 - on the computer. As a first time user I would also appreciate someone letting me know if I posted in the right Community.

Forgot password to log on to phone, is there any way to reset?

Options for when an iOS device gets locked because of forgotten passcode:
Restore (and reset passcode) on your device by connecting it to the last computer to which it was connected:
iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring iOS software - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you cannot connect it to the computer to which the device was last connected (or the device was never connected to a computer) you will have to use recovery mode to completely reset the device, losing all data:
iOS: Unable to update or restore - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 - recovery mode (e.g., cannot connect to computer last used to sync device, iTunes still asks for a password)

  • Workgroup showing when logging into computer

    Hello,
I created a new computer account, but when I try and log into the computer, two workgroups show up after I put in the password to log into to the computer. How do I remove these workgroups so that I can log onto the computer without having to select one or the other workgroup?

Hello. If i read the question correctly, by workgroups you mean different accounts that have thei own space on the drive... and you log in as administrator? If yes, then go to
System Preferences> click SHOW ALL>then select Accounts. click the lock to make changes, and then at teh bottom of the window the accounts are shown are + and- and select the minus to delete...
    I hope that helped some...

  • I cannot remember my password to long into computer.

I am trying to download the updated Adobe Flash and cannot remember my password to log into my MAC.  It's not the same as my Apple password.  Any help?

    Hi,
You can reset your login password by using your Apple ID. For more info on login password see here.

I can't remember my password to log into my macbook pro. Help?

First, make sure caps lock is not on.
You must back up all data before continuing, unless you've already done so. If you need to back up but can't log in, ask for instructions.
If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
    from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it.
*Note: If you've activated FileVault, this procedure doesn't apply. Follow instead the instructions on this page:
If you forget the password and FileVault is on

  • Can't log into computer joined to domain "Corp" when connected to a different network where the domain is also "Corp"

My company uses the prefix "Corp" for their Active Directory domain. The domain is Corp.Company1.com, so when I log into the computer I log into it as Corp\Username.
Here is the issue I am facing: I often take my laptop to another company site (Lets call them Company2) which has been acquired by Company1. When I plug my Company1.com computer into Company2's network and try to log in to Corp\Username, I get a username or
bad password error because it is trying to log into Corp.Company2.com instead of Corp.Company1.com.
I have a large number of users who are going to start working at Company2 sites but using Company1 computers. Until these domains are joined (I consider that a separate issue), what workarounds might I be able to use to allow users to log onto their laptops
without having to unplug from the Company2 network?

have your users loging using the fqdn of the domain, that will probably work just fine (provided they can access these dc's or you allow cached logons).
    [email protected] or corp.company1.com\username

    This question was solved.

    Hello scoobby,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you are trying to log into the ePrint and Share app that is installed on your ENVY 5532. I suggest that you log into your HPConnected account, delete and re-install the app. Doing this should prompt to assign new login information. Once uninstalled, restart the printer before re-installing the app.
Let me know the out come, cheers!

    Dear All,
My desktop has locked me out.
It says that my account and master passwords are wrong.
Is there any way to reset these passowrds without logging into the account?

  • I can't remember my I Pad password to log into my wifi...

I restored my I Pad and now it wants my wifi password. I can't remember it. Is there a way to reset the wifi password or is it my internet connection password? If so, it will not accept it?What can I do?

Your wifi password is the password that you use to connect to your wifi network and therefore access the internet through your router - I assume that's what you mean by 'internet connection password'. Presumably you are connected to that network on another device/computer and are posting on here through it, in which case are you able to view its password on that device/computer ?
If not and if you can't remember its password (it's not written on your router or on its documentation ?) then you will need to reset it - did the router come with instructions for how to do that, and/or does the manufacturer have manuals/help on their website ?

  • I've forgotten my password to log into my backup on PC. Any suggestions??

Help!! I can't perform back up for my iPhone on my PC as I've forgotten my PC. I know my Apple ID and password (obviously to be able to participate in this forum lol). But I need to get my contacts and apps back and can't remember my password. Frustrated and feeling lonely without contacts lol :/

If your MBA came with, or has Lion, you have no separate restore disk. You use the Recovery Partition on the SSD.
On Lion, you use the following technique to reset the Administrators password:
Boot to your Lion Recovery Partition, by holding down the Option key while starting, and then selecting the Recovery HD as the boot choice.
Once booted, at the top of the screen is a menu ..., select Utilities / Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type “resetpassword” (without the quotes) and press return. A “Reset Password” window will open. Select your boot volume (your SSD drive) if it is not already selected. Select your administrators username from the menu labeled “Select the user account” if it is not already selected. Follow the prompts to reset the password. Restart the computer from the apple menu.
