12 Changing the (remote) SDM Password
Since the SDM Server offers you functions that you can use remotely, they must be protected from unauthorized use. For this reason, the SDM requires remote users to authenticate themselves with a password. The default shipped password is sdm. You can change this password in the following ways:
Pushbutton in the remote GUI
changepassword command
sdm changepassword sdmhome=<...> newpassword=<...> [password=<...>]
where
newpassword: New password
password: Old password. Since 6.30 SP5, this parameter has been set optional so that the password can be changed without reference to its current value. If this parameter is specified, its value will be ignored.
Note: changepassword command can be executed only if SDM server is stopped (see stop/start SDM Server) and it is in standalone mode (see jstartup). It would be better to return SDM in the same state as it was before the execution.

Go to SDM/program directory and run the below command as per your requirement.
Change Password :
sdm changepassword "password=sdm" "newpassword=xyz"
In-case you forget to set a new password :
sdm changepassword "newpassword=xyz"
Where "xyz" is your password.

Getting SDM Password

if you are getting "MMC disp+work is yellow" with status "J2EE status info unavailable" in MMC then please check the Java version applicable for your server version, database started status.
If Java version is correct, then you need to add system variable (JAVA_HOME) variable in enviroment variable (Right Click on My Computer>Properties>Advance tab > here in below you can find enviroment variable button) and also add your database path in the enviroment variable as 'user variable'
Check your database services file (Control pannel > Adminstrative tool> service), set your database status is 'Automatic'
After doing all the above step, try to start your server.
For changing J2EE_ADMIN, you can use sap system - tcode-SU01
Also, Please raise new thread if your problem not resoved. I think creater of this thread issue has already completed.

Then it says connecting ipod software update server and a screen pops up with ipod software update on the top and iOS 5.1. It lists a bunch of stuff this update contains and on the bottom it says next, which I click and nothing happens, it just goes back to the ipod restore page. Help, what am I doing wrong?

Update to the latest version of iTunes. Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) users may need to download iTunes 10.6.3.
Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, followTroubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. Avoid using an older or modified .ipsw file. Try moving the current .ipsw file (see Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations), or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw.

I can't update any of my apps. I have an old email address that I forgot the password to. I set up a new apple idea (I do know the password to this one), but every time I try to update my apps, it brings me back to my old email.

I've tried many times to get rid of my old iTunes account. I have made a new Apple ID and I do remember the password. My 2 main problems are, i can't update ANY of my apps (and I have 53 to update now), and I can't get rid of my old old email that I forgot the password to. Every time I try to reset the account and start a new iTunes account, it will ask me for my new email. I've tried multiple times to change it, bbut every time i do, it asks me to put a password when for my old email that I forgot the password to reset the account.

Once you purchase or download an app it will always be associated with the Apple ID used to download it. When that app requires and update you must use the Apple ID and password used to download it in the first place. The only way around this is to delete the apps the require the old Apple ID and download or purchase them again with the new Apple ID.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

The instructions are in that link. Just follow them VERY CAREFULLY. Especially the part about:
Turn off your device and leave it off.
Plug in your device's USB cable to a computer with iTunes. [but DON'T connect it to the iPhone yet]
Hold down the Home button on your device as you connect the USB cable. Keep holding down the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
When you see the iTunes screen, release the Home button. If you don't see this screen, try steps 1 through 3 again.
When your device is connected, iTunes will open. You'll see a message saying that iTunes has detected an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in recovery mode.
Hold down the Home button on your device as you connect the USB cable. Keep holding down the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.

I helped him create a new email address and new iCloud account on my Mac but when we try to register the phone with Apple it says: Maximim accounts limit reached for this device. When I checked the support site for Romania, you apparently don't have an Apple Care contact center. You "may" try calling the US Apple care number to verify the account and have the password reset sent to a different email address. 800-694-7466

iPhone, iPad: Settings > Mail, Calendar, Contacts > iCloud > choose that you want free @me.com address during the process.
