Forgotten password inserting the CD restarting Mac & holding C not working.

I've forgotten my password, i wrote it down, but somewhere i got it wrong writing it down.
I looked up forgotten password in the troubleshooting guide, and it says to insert the Mac OS X install DVD, restart and hold down the C key, the choose a language and well you know the drill.
the language menu has never come up, i've tried it over and over and over, been trying this for a week today.
what can I do?

Did you set a Firmware password in addition to your Account password? Doing so would cause you to be asked for that password when starting from an external disk.
To reset that you need your Account password (Catch-22). Otherwise it requires access to the hardware, so you will need to take it to an Apple Store or an authorised Apple Technician.

If the encryption password for the iPhone backup has been forgotten there is no way to recover it.

HT1338 cannot insert the disc into mac mini.It seems something obstructed.

1. Go into Spotlight from the top of your Mac Mini on the menu bar.
2. And search for "CDs & DVDs" (It's also in the System Preferences)
Click on it and a small CDs & DVDs window will pop up with options of what happens when you insert a disk into the drive
3. By then, try inserting a disk in (while that window is open. This kinda wakes up your drive to accept the disk). It should accept it.
4. If nothing happens, then manually open the program that should be opening when you insert the disk or go to Finder (Eg. if it's an audio disk, then open iTunes)
5. If opening the program still does not activate the drive to start spinning the disk, then close the programs and windows you opened, and repeat step 1-4 and the disk should be spinning and automatically opening the proper program.
Or go into Terminal app and type in: drutil ejec

Especially holding the trackpad mouse button upon restart and resetting the SMC.
If it's stuck in there you might have to make a "guide" out of two thin pieces of plastic. Post back if that's the case.

1. Insert the Leopard Installation disk into the computer.
2. The disk will appear on the desktop.
3. Double click on the "Optional Installs" folder.
4. Double click on the "Optional Installs.mpkg."
5. Click on (Continue) in Introduction.
6. Click on (Continue) in Software License Agreement.
7. Click on (Agree) to agree to the terms of the software license agreement.
8. Click on the disclosure arrow ▶ next to Applications.
9. Select (✓) iCal.
10. Click (Continue).
11. After iCal has been reinstalled, download and install the Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update to bring iCal up to the most recent version.

It is almost as if the program does not exist on my computer. If I search for it, the only thing that comes up is the installer. I cannot find it anywhere despite the fact I have installed it numerous times, uninstalled it and conducted a fresh install, and the Adobe website checks says that it is installed.

I m using apple mac pc, when we start windows 7 , apple mouse doesn't work properly it take to much time to gain signals from the pc and many times it not work but when we use mac it moves fastly and works properly. please suggest me. thanks ravi

All computers are personal computers, a PC though is also "non-Apple" in common usage.
Mac also is platform and OS.

I found this plugin which solved pretty much all of my mail font rendering problems. It is designed for Lion, so don't know whether it will work but thought I would offer it up.

I'm afraid that you may be confusing two different 'passwords' - there's your Apple ID (the user name and password that you used to get into these forums) and then there's your computer user name and password - usually two seperate user names and passwords.
If you want to change your password for your user account on your computer, go to System Preferences>Users & Groups and unlock the preference pane. Then you can select your user name and change your password there. Changing a user name is a bit complex and I don't think you want to try that!

The router might be bad or incompatible, but let's be optimistic.
On System Preferences, go to Network/Advanced/PPP. Only two items should be checked: Connect Automatically When Needed and Disconnect when switching user accounts. Uncheck everything else. Now, click Okay on the end of the page. The next time you're online, you shouldn't be disconnected.
If you still get disconnected like before, we might be dealing with a router issue - which can get rather complicated.

recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not iOS device
turn phone off
hold home button and plug cable into phone. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore
