Then restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

You will get the same model if BB still carries it. If that model is no longer avaliable, you'll get a comparable model, meaning another Classic. Your store may be willing to give you a store credit for the comparable model which you can use to purchase a touch. However, the store is not required to do this.

There is no default setting. You have to set the passcodes. If you cannot remember them, then see:
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Ask the person(s) responsible for that network.

Cannot get latest upgrade for i pod touch

Hi, I am trying to update my I Pod to the latest software but cannot get past 4.2.1 . Some of the apps I want to install say I need 4.3 but it seems it is not available for my I pod.

i pod touch wifi works for few minutes then goes off seems lots of people having same problemsif it is a problem with latest software updates apple should put this right.

Do the filenames contain special characters, like "ä,ü,..." or white space or are the vry long? Is there anything special about the image format? Try to export the edited versions in that case and reimport it with a different, shorter filename.
For testing, create a new book with only the images you want to check.
If this does not fix it, try rebuilding. Depress the option and command keys, launch iPhoto and rebuild the library.

Fire wire cable for I-pod Touch

Hi all,
Just a quick question, my cat decided to rip my I-pod touch usb connection cable apart today, so I went & got a new 1 which had the connection that goes into the I-pod it-self, 1 x usb connection and 1 x firewire 400 connection (its an apple product), So I thought great firewire will transfer data across quicker than usb, got home plugged in the I-pod via firewire and I-tunes would not see my Ip-pod but it does when you use the usb bit.
Does an I-pod touch not support a firewire connection ? any help would be great.

In a word, no.
Nor the Gen 5 or any iPod since. Speed really was not much different on those that did support it though so not a huge loss, and you should still be able to charge via FW, my Gen 5 charges while you get a little message telling you FW doesn't work. Never tried on my Touch.

Add them to your iTunes library abd syn. Go to iTunes>Advanced and make sure you authorize the Audible account

HT1212 My 7 year pls has forgotten her passcode for her iPod touch. I have put it into recovery and through iTunes tried to restore. But it will only let me also try to update it with iOS 6.1.3 which no longer allows the bypass of the passcode. Can anyone

My 7 year old has a passcode on her iPod touch. She forgot it, after multiple attempts at what it could have been, it comes up with disabled etc.....I have tried it in recovery and hooking it up to iTunes (which the device has been previously synced up to) to restore. But the problem I am having is it only gives me the option to update also, to iOS 6.1.3 with the new bug fix which it won't allow you to bypass the passcode. It gets a little into the downloading, turns the iPod on and then asks for the passcode to continue?! I am at a loss as to what to do now, as every forum says put it in recovery and restore. I can't use the 'find my iPhone' app as the iPod is offline. I've tried it on a laptop not prev synced up to and get the same problem. Has any one got any ideas!

Only Apple knows when a new product is going to be released, and they normally don't share that information with anyone. If you are in the market for a new iPod Touch, then buy one because if you think about it it will always be a new model coming out.
