Forgotten Restrictions Passcode on iPad, and Restored it, but its still on there.

I put a restriction passcode on my iPad because my little sister used it, and unfortunetly I forgot it. So I restored my iPads Software (as I've read), but its still on there! What can I do?

Restore as new.
Do not restore from backup because backup have the passcode you forgot.

Return the iPhone and get your money back. It has been
hacked/modified/jailbroken and likely cannot be made

  • HT1212 I have forgotten my passcode for ipad and itunes is not "detecting a device in recovery mode."

I have forgotten my passcode for ipad and itunes is asking passcode to be entered - even after following directions for computers not synced... multiple times, but iTunes is not "detecting a device in recovery mode."  What do I do now?

    DFU Restore
This will very likley result in loss of data.
Plug the iPhone into the computer.
Ensure that it is running the latest version of iTunes and that it has access to the internet.
Press and hold both the home and sleep/wake buttons for exactly eight seconds.
Release only the sleep/wake button but continue to hold the home button for another five seconds.
Let go of the home button, then look at the computer screen for an instructional popup.
The popup should say "iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode. . .(etc)"  Click accept to all boxes and let iTunes download and install all of the latest device Firmware and Software.
If no popup appears, repeat the above DFU instructions.  If you've never done a DFU, it may take about three attempts to get the timing right.

Lost ipad trying to locate but its disabled is there a way to find it?

In regards to the Find My iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad feature if activated and enabled on your iPad, if you didn't have the Passcode lock feature enabled, someone can turn the Find My iPad feature off.
If the iPad is not connected to the internet via wi-fi or via the cellular network if a 3G iPad, the feature won't work.
If the iPad is powered off or has been restored with iTunes as a new iPad, the feature can't work.
There is no other way to find it electronically.

  • HT201407 I am unable to activate my phone since putting in recovery and restoring it. Its still logged to prev owner for some reason. HELP

I am without a phone after restoring it. Apple told me in order to get rid of the previous owners link to this phone i had to put it in recovery mode and restore the phone. WellI've done that and now i get a message that says this iphone is currently linke to an apple id. Sign in with the apple id that was used to set up this phone. I cant sign in with that id as i dont have the username and password. I bought this phone second hand and now i cant even use it. Can anyone tell me how to activate it and or delete the previous owner?

That's a feature of iOS 7.0 Beta, which cannot be discussed here.

Without knowing the Apple ID & Password, you can't. There is no workaround.
    Good luck.

Ringtones are currently a one-time only download - did you not copy it to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases before restoring the phone (ringtones aren't included in a backup) ? If not then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • HT4623 i updated my new iphone 5 and restored it but it still says no service and my iphone 4 still has service. how do i switch over? thanks

What do i do to give the iphone 5 service and take it away from my iphone 4? thanks!

There are no instructions for this included with the phone. You need to contact your carrier to activate your phone. If you are on AT&T, you can activate through the AT&T Wireless website. Search for "activate" on the site. You will be asked to confirm two of the phone's identification numbers. Be sure your phone is powered off and leave it off for 15 minutes before activating.  Your old phone will be deactivated at the same time your new phone gets service.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.
Also, see iTunes- Restoring iOS software.

      2. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
      3. iOS- Understanding passcodes
If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
         1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
         2. Connect your device to your computer.
         3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
         4. Select the Summary tab.
         5. Select the Restore option.
         6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
             necessary to create another.
         7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
         8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
             logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
backup to restore, then restore as New.
If you are restoring to fix a forgotten Restrictions Code or as a New device, then skip Step 9 and restore as New.
