Form 1099 for US requirement

The last released notes are: note 1666672, 1635493 and 1673257 for 2011 US Legal change.
SAP is planning to release the US Legal Changes for reporting for 2012 via a new SAP Note by December 10th 2012.
I recommend you to keep an eye in the service market place close to December 10th.

1099 for a one time vendor

Hello All
How do we handle 1099's for one time vendors? As far as I know this is not supported in SAP and needs to be done manually. Can someone please comment on this.

As you may be aware of the Businesses will need to fill out a Form 1099-MISC for persons, vendors, subcontractors, independent contractors, and others in the following circumstances:
$600 or more per year is paid for
u2022 cash payments to fishermen
u2022 crop insurance proceeds,
u2022 medical and health care payments,
u2022 prizes and awards,
u2022 proceeds paid to attorneys,
u2022 rents,
u2022 services (including parts and materials), and
u2022other types of payments not covered by another information reporting document.
$10 or more per year is paid for
u2022 broker payments in lieu of dividends or tax-exempt interest, and
u2022 royalties
Reporting such payments is required if the recipient of the payment is not a corporation -- for example, when the recipient is an individual, partnership, a limited liability company treated as a partnership or sole proprietorship. Payments made to corporations are required in the case of medical and health care payments and in the case of legal fees paid to attorneys. Other types of payments made to corporations may be reported using Form 1099-MISC, but is not required.
You will need to know whether the payment falls under any of the categories listed above for reportable payments, whether your payments to a particular recipient reaches the $10 or $600 threshold for reporting, and finally you'll need to know the exact amount you paid the recipient for the year.
If your vendor's are falling under this, you should not create them as one time vendor

Auto number form field for Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard?

I'm creating an online form using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard and need to know how create an automatic sequential system for each form.
For example, if a customer prints form 1 from the website, I need the next form to be tracked as form 2, and the next will automatically become 3, etc.
Is there a way to do this with Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard, or do I need Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro?

Neither will help with what you want. The web server would have to be responsible for generating a new number each time the file is served, and somehow modifying the document to include the number. The document could be set up to request a number from the server and returning it in a response, but it would still be something that's managed by the server. Both approaches require server-side programming.

Help with Form F110_US_DTA for ACH file to be sent to bank

Hi ppl,
I'm implementing new house bank in the system for ACH payments
the NACHA file format for that bank is given to me.
the bank's needs a variation in the format.
they want effective entry date in the Batch Header Record 5, Pos 70-75 to be greater than the Creation Date located in the File Header Record 1
Im using the form F110_US_DTA for the file that is to be generated to sent to bank
How Do I make changes to this form to satisfy the requirement
Or basically where do I change the format of forms like F110_US_DTA etc..
What is T-code for that...

An ACH NACHA file has the following components..
File Header Record(1)
This gain has many fileds like Record type code, priority code, immediate destination etc
Batch header Record(5)
Record type code, company Identification
Entry Detail Record(6)
Transactioncode, Check digit etc
Addenda Record(7)
Record Type Code...etc
Batch Control Record(8)
File Control Record(9)
Batch Count, block count etc...
Now This is the Layout which the company wants to implement
The commpany is already using an ACH file for an old bank.
But wants to implement a New Bank with a lil variation of old NACHA format
In SAP where can I set these fields or parameters.....
for some programs I can goto System->Status and double click on program and goto ABAP editor and change fields.
But for this ACH where can go and set the parameters according to requirements
There is actually one more requirement...
In the ACH file The New banks wants the
File Creation Date (It is entry in field no 5 of File Header Record(1) of ACH file)
this date should be less than Effective Entry DAte (It is an entry in Field no 9 in Batch Header Record(5))

Detect what the default edit form is for a document library and list using jquery

Hi,
So what I have done is with some jquery made it that when a files are dragged and dropped into a document library and there is a required field such as "Metadata" the EditForm.aspx opens up for the user to fill in the required column. I am building
the url up from what I have found in SharePoints DragDrop.js file. This is all working perfectly I just need to find a way to dynamically find what the default edit form is for that document library as I have just hardcoded like this...
g_currentControl.strSiteUrl + "/" + this.ListName + "/Forms/EditForm.aspx?ID=" + id
So I need a way to figure out what the default edit form is instead of hard coding like this in case someone creates a custom_editform.aspx or something for one of the lists.

Automatic Generation of form Printing for an Order

Hi,
In an Order one line itme dates are like this from 29.03.2007 to 29.03.2008.
Here year is splitted into 2 parts. One is 1st of Jan to 30th June, second one is 1st July to 31st Dec.
 So that my requirement is like this.
1) I need to print the form automatically when an Order is created.
2) Every June 15th and Dec 15th I need to print the form for that Order
 automatically with some other data.
*--Similarly I need to trigger the form in this way automatically for all Orders.
How can I trigger the Form automaticall for the above requirement.

I have set form fields as User required and yet the form still prints/save when empty.

I have set form fields as User required and yet the form still prints/save when empty. I also have an email button on the form but that works correctly by not allowing the user to email the form with the required fields empty.
What script do I need to additionally restrict both printing and saving if the required fields are empty?
You would think that just setting that option would restrict those functions the same as it does for the email button.
Please be specific with your response if you are gracious enough to offer one. I have been searching the forum all morning for the answer to this and I really didn't understand any of the solutions offered to others enough to use those in my own form.
The required fields are:
Social (social security number)
Name
Headquarters
Residence
The next question I have is if there is a way to make individual signature fields mandatory if they are digital signatures?
In other words, I don't want the individual to be able to email the form to the next person if he/she hasn't applied their digital signature.

Saving can always be done, even when mandatory fields are empty. This is by design. And that is correct. Suppose you have a big form and 2 people need to fill it out. How can you fill out a first part and then send it to the second person without saving.
Same for printing. Same for your signature fields.
What I would do, is to put a "watermark" on the form that you show on preSave and prePrint if the form is incomplete. Just a static text on your form. Then the user will see that they need to do more. Also, on preSave and prePrint, you can show a warning popup to tell the user about the missing fields. You can then still cancel their action if the user decides not to save/print anyway.

Smart form assignment for fb60 document

Hi Experts,
I have one issue pertains to smart form, my client wants to take print with his logo at the time of FI invoice document.
Once user post the invoice in FB60, the using the document number we need the details in a form.
For this abaper developed a smart form, but i could not find where these form will be assigned for print, and requirement is that in the FB60 transaction itself if user press the print button then taking this developed form to print.
Please suggest that how to make these assignments?

HI,
I don't think you can call the form developed directly from FB60 after posting the document.
I would recommend to use the functionality of correspondence.
After posting the document in FB60 from Menu --> display document and from there you need to generate the correspondence request and then print the form from F.64.

Form validation for sql submission

is there a way i can take the fields of my forms and replace any instance of ' with /' so that it can be submitted to my Postgres database successfully? i've come across a basic javascript function that replaced "a" with "z" and i tried modifing that, but it crashes my browser.
surely being a common requirement for form submission for database entry, there must be a function written somewhere that handles this
i know its not strickly java, but its something anyone that has developed in JSP, PHP or whatever must have come across

is this a JavaScript question or a Java queston ?

HCM Processes and Forms : Using single Form Scenario for Multiple Countries

I have a requirement to design a HCM P&F form ( Single Process, Single Form Scenario ) to support multiple countries. Form fields should be visible/invisible based on the country ( derived from the login Manager). please help me with the following questions.
1. Is it right way to enable/disable the fields in the same form scenario for multiple countries ( Approx. 20-25 countries)
2. Is there any limitation to no. of fields on the form? does the form performs well with multiple dynamic conditions?
3. If yes, what is the best way to do this? through Java Script / Back end Generic Service?

-You can use same form scenario or process for multiple countries if you are using fields based on international structure HCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R*. If you intend to use country specific fields then you may like to use different form scenario for different countries.

- As such there is no limiation for the fields.Yes, form performs well with multiple rule configurations.
3. If yes, what is the best way to do this? through Java Script / Back end Generic Service?
I interpret you would like to derive & show fields based on same backend logic, in that case you should generic service.
If you want to show fields based on manager's logon then you should also use authorization BAdi.

Form rights for Reader XI

The Adobe Acrobat XI SDK Release Notes state, "Beginning Acrobat XI, Form Rights are available to all documents irrespective of whether the documents are Reader extended or not." When I use importXFAData() in the document-level Javascript, everything works fine; however, if I use exportXFAData(), an error is thrown. Are Form Rights no longer required for ALL properties and methods when using Reader XI, or only a select few?

To clarify, the error that is thrown reads, "NotAllowedError: Security settings prevent access to this property or method."

So, if the "F" doesn't apply, then what's the problem? I've tried putting the method in a folder-level script with an enclosing app.beginPriv() and app.endPriv(). Still doesn't work.

I have a question. We are analysing the implementation requirement of Note 1486147 ( New Form Layout for 16A however stucked with a new message which required to be maintained in CLass J1IN. We do not have this class available in SAP and not sure if there is another OSS note for that or this will be maintained in Service Pack. I am new to this Client and what I can confirm that since last many month , Finance service packs have not been applied here.
Please help. Also if somebody has worked on this, can give me the contact numbers, it would be great.
