Form duplication within a single PDF

How can I duplicate a form with lots of editable form fields 18 more times into a single PDF without the data auto populating to each other? There are too many fields to change every one to a unique name manually

Hi Sara, thanks for looking into this. I tried your suggestions and here are the results.
1) Clicking on the Printer button of the Reader print screen takes me to the Mac's standard print dialog. There's not a whole lot of customization that I can do there. I made sure that under the Paper Handling tab I have unselected the option "Scale to fit paper size", and in the Print Settings tab I have Paper Source set to "Auto Select". Once I hit the "Print" button however nothing happens except that it takes me right back to the Reader print screen. If I then select "Print" from there, its the same as if I never selected the "Printer" button in the first place - it all prints out on the same size paper.
2) In the Print screen I selected the Advanced button and in there you can choose to "Print as Image". Tried that and unfortunately its the same. It all prints to one size paper.
3) Downloaded and installed Adobe Reader DC (Version 2015.007.20033) and tried to print from that. Made all the same selections in the Print screen as before but this time the print resulted in a document thats all Legal size, rather than Letter. The old version of Reader printed to all 8.5 x 11, this version prints to all 8.5 x 14.
I repeated steps 1 and 2 with the new version of Reader as well and the results were still the same, always on Legal size regardless of the actual documents paper size requirements.
Let me know if there are any kinds of logs or debug flags I can set in this software that might help to troubleshoot this further.

  • Merging Smartform Output and Adobe Form Output in a single PDF File

    Hi All,
My Requirement is as follows -
I have multiple Smartforms and a single Adobe Form.
I want to merge the Smartform Outputs and Adobe Form output in a single PDF.
I am able to merge multiple Smartform Output in a PDF , but not able to find any way to merge smartform and adobe form output as the Smartform output is in OTF Format and Adobe form output is in PDF Format itself.
I have tried few ways , but could not find any success.
Request you all to give me some direction to this problem.
    Thanks & Regards
    Bhavika

    Kumar,
I am afraid this is not possible using SAP functionality. There are probably 3rd party tools which allow you to merge several PDFs into one, but SAP itself does not offer such a mechanism. There is an internal SAP function, though, which can merge several "parts" (=several PDFs) within an Adobe-created spool request into a single PDF, intended for downloading this PDF from SP01.
This is described in note 1717357.
    Best regards,
    Alexander

  • Can I use CreatePDF to switch around the pages within a single pdf document that scanned wrong?

I understand CreatePDF would allow me to combine documents into a single pdf file.  But, (1) can I move around (switch/correct the order of) pages within a single PDF file?  (2) Can I delete pages from a single file or a combined file?  (3) Once created, can I edit the file in any way?  If these services were available, I would likely subscribe.  I don't want to subscribe without knowing.

Thanks for your reply.  Pardon my ignorance. Acrobat would allow me to move pages around?

  • How To Export Windows Forms Multiple DataGridViews in single PDF using iTextSharp, C#

    Hi,
I am using VS2010 For my windows application dash board is required for that i am using 6 datagridview to display in form and i want to export all datagridviews to one single pdf please help me out.
How To Export Windows Forms Multiple DataGridViews in single PDF using iTextSharp, C#
    Thanks in advance

    Hi friend,
Actually iText is a third party library to create PDF originally written for java. iTextSharp is the C# adaptation of that library.
Question regarding iText are better asked on the iText forum, but this is Microsoft Forum:

  • Compile Form Responses into a Single pdf in Acrobat X

I sent a single pdf using the Distribute function in Acrobat X to several different people.  I was under the impression that I would be able to merge all responses into a single pdf document.  Each form field has a unique name and each field will be filled in by only one person responding.  Is there a way to do this in Acrobat X?

This is not how forms usually work. Ususally, each person fills in the entire form, and the distributor combines all the responses into a speadsheet.
I'm not sure if the tracker is able of doing what you want. But what you can do is export the form data from each file, and then import all of these files into your PDF.

  • Combining filled forms into a single PDF

    Hello-
I'm having some trouble combining some documents. I have a source PDF file, 'Service Form', that I use to fill out and save as a separate form by customer. For instance, I open 'Service Form', fill it in and save it as 'Customer A' form when completed.
Now, if I try to combine 'Customer A' form and 'Customer B' form in to a single PDF, 'Customer B' form gets populated with 'Customer A''s data. In other words, I have two 'Customer A' forms. I have tried many different ways to save and combine them but nothing works.
I don't want to create a PDF Package, I want a single PDF with multiple instances of 'Customer' forms.
Anyway, I'm sure this is clear as mud. Any feedback is appreciated.

You can flatten a file using the flattenPages() JavaScript method. The advantage to flattening is you can use JavaScript in a batch process to automate the process of flattening a large number of files.
As a test to see how it works, you can open a copy of one of the forms in Acrobat, activate the JavaScript console (Advanced > JavaScript > Debugger), and enter the following in the code window:
    flattenPages()
and hit CTRL+Enter (with the cursor on the same line as the code)
and save the resulting modified PDF.

  • Finding Duplicates within a Large PDF or multiple PDFs

    Hello family,
I have a few large PDFs containing many emails and want to try to weed out duplicates.  These emails come from a few people's email accounts and will contain duplicates.  I guess my first question is 1) Is there a way to see for example if 3 pages from one pdf is contained in another pdf? and 2) Is there a feature/way to weed out duplicates within a single PDF ie. delete identical pages?
If anyone has any tricks they may have.  Right now, all I can think of is extract each email manually and then rename each email by Subject, then by date to weed out the duplicates.  Or do a word/phrase search within the larger pdf to see if it pops up.  Both ways are very time consuming.
    Thanks,
    jimmy

If each letter is 1 page then you can use the Extract Pages command (under the Document menu).
If it's more, or a varying size, then it could possibly done with a custom-made script.

  • Generate and Print Preview Multiple Forms in a Single PDF

There have been other questions similar to this but none directly address my problem.  We have the need to generate multple forms in a .pdf using Adobe interactive forms.  We can generate the multiple forms, but the user has to click on each form to view.  They want to have the forms in a single document that they can scroll through before printing.  We can do this in SmartForms but need to do it in Adobe.  Does anyone know how to generate multiple forms, either multiple copies of the same form or various forms, from an ABAP program into a single pdf that can be print previewed, in scrollable form, by the user?

I can describe it one more time, I think:))
You have multiple options, but only one "reasonable" within SAP.
You can call an external application (through command line etc.) to concatenate forms for you.
You can use iText as mentioned in the thread, and write yourself a "tool" which will concatenate the forms for you.
Both these "options" would not be acceptable for my clients, I name them to help you get the whole picture.
Then there is the third option: use a form for a single instance (template/ form A) and create a new form (form B), where you will use the A template:
    - you need to: create a new interface where everything from the old interface is a row of the table (example: you have a form to print out the personal card of the employee, so in a new form you will need to use a table, where a row is an employee)
    - you need to create a new form layout based on the new interface:
in this new layout you will paste the whole layout of the old form (A/ single instance) and wrap it into a subform. The added subform will work as a table (you will bind that to the table from interface) and everything from the old template within this new subform will work as a "row" (something what you can repeat for each data item).
    Does that sound reasonable?

  • Can I use Visual Basic to covert form user data from multiple .pdf files to a single .csv file?

Can I use Visual Basic to covert form user data from multiple .pdf files to a single .csv file?  If so, how?

You can automate Acrobat using IAC (InterApplication Communications), as documented in the Acrobat SDK. Your program could loop through a collection of PDFs, load them in Acrobat, extract the form data from each, and generate a CSV file that contains the data.
Acrobat can also do this with its "Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet" function, but this is a manual process.

  • Merge form responses into single pdf

I have 30 form responses and would like to combine them into a single pdf.  When I use the Merge Files Into Single PDF feature, the forms are combined into a single pdf, but the first form is duplicated 30 times.  In other words, the form fields on the other 29 forms are replaced with the data from the first form.  Can multiple form responses be combined into a singe pdf and the data be retained for each form?

It is a bit late but I recently came across the same issue with combining mutliple PDF forms for which form fields have identical names. For example 100 people fill out the same PDF form and you need to combine them into one.
I beleive you need to have Acrobat Pro
    1. File > Export > Export Multiple (This brings a dialog up where you can drag and drop a group of files.)
    2. Click OK
    3. Select EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)
    4. Click OK (Now you have .eps files of each PDF)
    5. Advanced > Print Production > Acrobat Distiller
    6. Select Standard
    7. Drag all the EPS files into Distiller
PS - If anyone has a better solution please let me know!

  • How to combine PDFs into a single PDF and preserve links between original PDFs within single PDF

Acrobat Pro can combine multiple PDF files into one PDF file.
However, during this process not all links are supported.
Links within the individual PDF files that are combined seem to work in the single resulting PDF file.
Links that were between the individual PDF files when combined do not seem to work in the single resulting PDF file.
Combining the PDF files should support the links that were btween the original individual PDF files in the resulting single PDF file.
    How can this be done?

    Sorry, not possible.

  • Combining FDF files into a single PDF

Problem: I have 9 FDF files that were generated using a python script from within a database. The all refer to a common template PDF form. When I open each file the data is correct for each one. I need to be able to combine the 9 files into a single PDF document (9 pages long). This isn’t a onetime task, so the process needs to be easily repeatable.
Ii tried opening each FDF then saving them as PDF’s, the ODF’s all look correct, each files containing the appropriate data. This issue with this is once combined all 9 pages reflect the data from sheet #1. It’s as if I’ve just pulled in sheet #1 9 times.
I’m very new to the FDF format and am a little confused as to why this is happening.
Any help would be very much appreciated
    Jon

This is correct, and working as designed.
If you use the same field name on two pages, they are the same field.
So, if you combine two documents with the same field name, they are the same field, and will have the same contents.
This is a key reason why PDF portfolios were invented.

  • How to retain focus in Web forms 6i item when displaying pdf image

How to retain focus in Web forms 6i item when displaying pdf image in a multi-record block?
    Hello.
I have a Web Forms 6i program (version Forms 6.0.8.19.2) running in a 3-tier application. The web form program has a multi-record block containing invoices. When navigating to a record, the form should display the PDF invoice image which is stored in an Oracle 8.1.7 database as a BLOB in another window. When user press down-arrow, the next PDF invoice image should be displayed.
I am able to accomplish the functionality above by using web.show_document('URL', target') in the when-new-record-instance. The URL being called is a PL/SQL Web Toolkit stored procedure using wpg_docload.download_file built-in.
The problem is that the focus is lost on the Webform and the focus is shifted to the PDF image window when you navigate to the next record using down-arrow. I want to retain the focus in the form as this is a data-entry form, the operator will use down-arrow to go to the next-record rather than the mouse. I also only want to do this for this Invoice Entry form and NOT to all forms.
Please advise how to resolve this problem. Thank you.
    Regards,
    Armando

    Magesh,
the issue of a SSO protected form showing the logon dialog is a knwon issue for Windows200 and the Oracle9iAS base release. If you applied Forms Patch 1 then this should be solved. Hope that I am right in that you are using Oracle9iAS and not Oracle9iDS. Do you see the Single Sign-On logon screen or the Forms logon dialog directly? Check the forms90.conf file in teh forms90/server directory as this contains the Form sso settings (mod_osso) which by default is commented out and therefore inactive. You need to remove the commenting '#' characters and make sure that each sentence having a '#' in front, after that starts on a new line.
The Forms deployment documentation within the Oracle9iAS docu provides this information too.

  • How do i combine multiple pdf file into a single pdf file?

how do i combine multiple pdf files into a single pdf file?

The thread was started in early March and it's Mid-April, I know this very well. The OP of this thread posted a very common and simple question or maybe he/she would have resolved this. For an Adobe Acrobat user it's not at all difficult to combine multiple PDF files into one. But to combine PDF files full version of Adobe Acrobat is mainly required, otherwise PDF files can't be combined. For example, I'm using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. These simple steps are mainly required to combine PDF files:
    Open Adobe Acrobat.
Click on Combine and click on Merge files into a single PDF.
A window will be appearing, click on Add Files and select the PDF files you want to combine.
Arrange the selected files in any order with the help of Move Up and Move Down button.
Now click on Combine File and the selected PDF files will be combined within a few seconds.
A new PDF file will be created. Click on Save As and name this new PDF file. Then, click on Save.
A new PDF file will be created and all the selected PDF files are combined in it. The steps shown above might be different in other versions of Adobe Acrobat. Other than this, some third-party PDF merge software are also available. Most of them are available with a demo version for free evaluation. I've heard much about SysInfoTools PDF Merge software on other forums and directories and it's demo version is freely available. One may check its demo version if Adobe Acrobat (full version) is not available.
    Regards
