Form Guides don't show in Preview

I am trying to learn how to create form guides and have found that when I click the preview button, nothing but a blank template of the form guide appears. None of the text or graphics I have added appear. Can anyone provide any solutions?
I am working with ES2.

Don't Show Icon Previews

I've recently upgraded to Snow Leopard from Tiger. Everything has been a little glitchy, but the one thing that is truly annoying me is the Finder will always show Icon Previews. Every time I log in and open a Finder window, I have to go thru the View Options and uncheck Show Icon Previews. The next day, I have to do the same thing, because the Finder does not remember that setting.
I've tried Option-clicking and Command-clicking the check box, but it hasn't made a difference.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get the Finder to remember that I don't want to see Icon Previews in Finder windows?

I created a new administrator account, logged in, opened a new Finder window, hit command-J, unchecked Show Icon Preview, closed the View Options window, closed the Finder window, then logged out. I logged back into the new account and the settings had stuck. (Yea!?) I did the whole routine with my own account and the settings were reset, with Show Icon Preview checked. Hmm.
So I guess it's some glitch in my user account. Any ideas how to fix it? I'm not really excited about creating a new user and having to set up all the preferences and whatnot, but I guess it might be weighing that inconvenience against the annoyance of the Icon Previews.

Thumbnails don't show in Preview 8.0 app

Hello,
I use Preview 8.0 as supplied on my new 13" Macbook Air (Yosemite 10.10.2). When I go to View > Thumbnails, the left-side column where the thumbnails should go is revealed, but it is empty. Wondering if anyone can recommend a solution to get these to show up so I can reorder pages, etc.

See the little blue thingy in the left bottom corner of the username input? That's what pops up, everything else is hidden.
When I start Firefox (4.b7) in Safe Mode, it works. I disabled all my Addons, but that didn't help. No idea what's causing this. Any help would be appreciated.

1) Open downloaded https://secure.logmein.com/activex/npRACtrl_ff3.xpi (this is zip-file, im using Winrar)
2) modify install.rdf: 3.6 -> 4.6
3) delete zigbert.rsa in /META-INF folder
4) Save all back
5) Install in Firefox 4

Form guide shows online with wrong preview PDF

I'm using LC Designer 8.1. and tried to complete a form guide.
I can't figure out why the (working) swf-online version of the formguide keeps referring to a temp. guide preview sample instead of the PDFform the guide is based on.
Can I configure that somewhere or do I have to buy additional software?

I think you mean this?
I made a map with all te files I needed. A swc,xdp and logo.gif. After completing the xdp file (and the guide) I was not able to save anything from the guide into my map (no swf) In the map `documents and settings\Application Data\Adobe\Designer\8.1\GuideBuilder` I found the swf file with the name tmpPreview.swf. Once I moved it online (together with all the other files in that map) it worked fine until I tried to export/send it by email/save it or show it in the guide. It then showed the `GuidePreview.pdf` file.
I also tried to save the xdp file as a PDF and refer to it from the `tmpGuidePreview.html` file. Did not work also.

Form guide's preview PDF button not visible in Firefox

Don't know if this is a silly question but when I preview form guides in Firefox then the 4 top-right buttons (including Show/Hide PDF) doesn't appear. I have confirmed that I selected the "Include PDF preview" option. In IE everything works fine, so I'm assuming it has something to do with Active X.
I did have a look at the generated html, but couldn't really get much wiser. Any ideas?

Goto:
Universal Worklist Content Configuration -> Click to Administrate Item Types and View Definitions
In the table under the "Current Configurations" tab, select the standard travel configuration provided by SAP -> "com.sap.pct.erp.mss.tra".
Here, search for the code of the task for which everything is working fine; in our case it was TS20000118. Copy this piece of code.
Now download the currently active XML configuration. In the saved XML file, search for the task code which is not working as expected. Replace this piece of code with the code copied in the above step. Save with a different name.
Upload this new configuration with HIgh priority.
Reregister the connector and clear the cache.
These steps solved my problem. Probably it should work for you too.

Text files don't show on fillable form after saving on a mac

I have a fillable form with text and check fileds on it, if a user filles it on a windows pc and saves it all works fine, but if a user does the same thing on a MAC then the text fields don't show.

Avoid touching any PDF (in particular any PDF form file) with Preview.

I have created new html files using a template, then saved
the file with a new html name.
I preview it in my local broswer, the first page I want the
preview shows uo OK. When I click to link to a new page in my root
folder, the new page shows up, but not formatted with the template.
Why and how can I fix this?

Forms 11g with Webutil don´t show in browser IE 9

I have a problem with Webutil. I installed th Oracle Forms/Reports 11g in Red Hat 5.5 x86_64, and when is necessary run a pure Forms, it´s works.
Now, when I will try run a Forms with Webutil, don´t show in browser IE 9 - Win 7 64bits - Java Plug-in 1.6.0_25 Using JRE version 1.6.0_25-b04 Java HotSpot(TM) Client.
What can be to show only a gray screen and dont show my Forms ? In java console don´t showed any error, neither in WLS_FORMS.log and forms-diagnost.log.

If you managed to get to the point where the applet container is created (the "gray square"), but the form never appears then you can assume one or more of the following has occurred:
1. The JRE crashed after startup. Many times, but not always, if such a crash occurs it will leave a JRE dump file on the desktop. Its content may help to identify the cause.
2. The Forms runtime crashed at startup. Many times, but not always, a Forms dump file will be created on the server. Its content may help to identify the cause.
3. The Forms runtime was unable to start at all. This can occur on unix systems when/if there is a resource or permissions issue. One of the more common causes is if the file descriptor (nofiles) value is set too low.
4. The applet is actually running, but has attempted to display a dialog box and is awaiting your acknowledgement, but the box was wrongfully sent to the background behind the browser. A similar issue was reported in one of the JRE 1.6.0_xx series, however I don't recall which one. Uninstall your current version and install the latest which is 1.6.0_27
There are other possibilities, but these are most common.
I would recommend the following:
1. Uninstall any JRE older than 1.6.0_27. Reboot. Install 1.6.0_27
2. Set networkRetries=5 in formsweb.cfg
3. Set FORMS_TIMEOUT to 15 (default). Setting to a high value as you have is not recommended and is rarely necessary.
4. Verify that the test form works. For example:

5. It appears that you are trying to use WU_TEST_106.fmx. Instead, download an updated version of this file (the name has also changed)

6. Ensure that you have compiled webutil.pll into .plx. Do not use an old version of this file. The installation will include one. If not, check for it in an installation that also includes the Builders.

The preview and cover flow don't show thumbnails of the quicktime videos. How to fix?, The preview and cover flow don't show thumbnails of the quicktime videos. How to fix?

When I upgraded to Mavericks the cover flow or the preview pane in finder don't show a thumbnail of an uncompressed quicktime movie. I use this to search for the correct clip so it was very useful in prior versions of OS X but appears to be left off in Mavericks. If anyone knows a work around I would appreciate it since I work with thousands of video clips. To click each one seems very tedious.
Also, when I click on an uncompressed video, quicktime "converts" the video to some different format. Why doesn't it just play the video instead of converting? Is there a way to stop this? I hate have to say - no I don't want to save this file.
Arrgh!

Does anyone in the community have insite into this issue (same with animation compressed QT's). Is this just the way it is moving forward (a terrible thing) or is it a bug that will be fixed in the near future. Apples silince on if this is a "feature" or a "bug" is frustrating.

Cell background colors are not showing in preview - help? - DW4

Hi,
I created a horizontal table for my menu bar, and gave each cell a different color by creating a separate class for each with background image - image is a block of color created in Photoshop. In design mode they look they way I want, but in preview (Safari) the colors don't show up at all - the whole area is gray, and all I see is the text for each cell. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Alternatively, is there a better way I can set this up to have different colors for each button?

Form guide not displaying fields

Hi,
I am creating a from guide using the RenderFormGuide component. The rendered form guide does not display any fields. I am able to preview the same XDP as a form guide in the designer, and it works perfectly fine. Are there any properties in the RenderFormGuide thats preventing the fields from being displayed?
Also, this form guide is not for use in workspace. This is to be opened up on the browser.

I used the guide builder in designer to create the guide. I chose the guide layout, dragged fields to the guide through the add/bind fields option. The fields do not show up for me even with default values.
I tried to create a form guide with no fields, just the default section and panel. Even this results in the same problem.
When I pass the sample form guide that comes with designer install through the render form guide component, only the guide layout gets created - there are no sections or panels. I am wondering if i am making a mistake in setting the form guide properties?

Barcodes in form guides

Hi!
I have a problem with using Barcodes added with Livecycle Designer in Workspace ES. The Barcode works great in preview and also with adobe reader and adobe acrobat, but when i add a form guide to the pdf and try to show it in Workspace ES I get an error from workspace:

As you can guess the 'fields' is the variable used for the collection that the barcode uses. Now the PDF works perfectly fine in adobe reader/acrobat.
I've also tried not using the fields variable setting the Barcode to use entire form data. Then i got this got error from workspace ES:

So basically another barcodes script error occured. I know that Form guides support only a limited set of javascript and that workspace es throws errors if you use unsupported javascript, but does that mean you cant use BarCodes(which generate javascript themselves) in form guides at all ? If no, what do i need to do get it working?

Paul, thanks for the idea, but there are controls and containers in flex, I hope datagrid in flex is a container and it does not have a text of value property. any item in the datamodel in form guide can be binded to only a control with text or value property. so is there a way on how to bind a datamodel property to a text field in a datagrid, as the data grid has a set of columns with text input as the control.

Highlight boxes show in preview but not in published work - Captivate 5

Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this as I'm utterly confused at the moment. I'm working on a software simulation and have been working alot with highlight boxes. I have done at least 3 modules (25-60 slides each) with highlighting and haven't had a problem until now. My problem is that I can't get the highlight boxes to show up on the published document. This is only for 1 single slide! All the rest work!! When I preview in the program the boxes show up and work perfectly but they don't show up in the published doc. I have duplicated slides and rerecorded that specific slide and nothing works. Any theories??

The image isn't crystal clear, but it would appear the top element is a Click Box configured to pause the slide at 1.5 seconds? Again it's difficult to see because it's not exactly clear, but it would also appear that your highlight boxes aren't configured to present until about 6 seconds in. So in this case it would seem the Click Box is pausing the slide too soon. Try adjusting the timing of the Click Box.

Songs can be removed from your iPhone by tapping 'Songs,' then swiping the song, then tapping Delete.
Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
