Form in FormsCentral desktop app in Acrobat XI Pro  to Muse web-page

If I make a form in FormsCentral desktop app in Acrobat XI Pro can I then export/import/move it to Muse web-page? Is there any tutorial about this?

FormsCentral won't help with flattening a form. You could set up the form in Acrobat so that the fields are set to read-only, using JavaScript. Not quite the same as flattening but it's the best Reader can do.
Note that when Reader is used to e-sign a document, it gets flattened, but this won't be possible if you need to Reader-enable the form and under certain other conditions.

  • Will we still be able to use the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app after FormsCentral retires?

Is it just the online service that is expiring?
Will I be able to create fillable PDF's using the desktop app (not online) to create fillable PDF's?
    Thanks!

    Hi LeanneW,
Please see this section from the End of support | Adobe FormsCentral document:
You may continue to use the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app for creating PDF forms until you update or upgrade your Acrobat software. But the app will not connect to any online component or offer the ability to collect data or publish web forms. Furthermore, we will not be supporting the application once Adobe FormsCentral is retired in July, and so cannot ensure functionality moving forward.
If you have additional questions, please let us know.

  • Collect Reponses Online tab in the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app

Where is the "Collect Reponses Online tab in the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app" ?

Are you using the app bundled with Acrobat XI? or the one downloaded from the FormsCentral website? Only the former one has that tab.

Joyce Miller is looking for the desktop icon for the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app. My machine was replace and now I can't find where to download that app either. There is reference to it, but no instructions where to down load the app. In January it was here: https://www.acrobat.com/formscentral/en/desktop-download.html
    But now it's gone.

I have been creating forms in InDesign and pulling into Acrobat XI Pro to do form fields. My client would like to fill in the PDF form using Reader, save under a different name locally on their device, and redistribute. The problem I have is that, sometimes, they want to redistribute the form as Read Only. I know how to flatten the form on a mobile device, but uncertain how they can do that with a PC or Mac using Adobe Reader. I looked at FormsCentral thinking there might be a solution going that route, but don't believe there is. Any advice?

In the Folders Tab, right click on  folder  then click Reveal in Explorer. This will open an Explorer window with the folder selected.  In Explorer you can right click > Properties or navigate to whatever you want to measure.

  • Why has my 8x8 desktop app on my Macbook Pro running OS X Yosimite 10.10.1 suddenly stopped working while the app on my iPhone and the online service both work fine?

Why has my 8x8 desktop app on my Macbook Pro running OS X Yosimite 10.10.1 suddenly stopped working while the app on my iPhone and the online service both work fine? Is this because of some recent software update by Apple? 8x8 support acknowledges issues with no current work-arounds? The 8x8 desktop app worked until early December, then quit. I've deleted and re-downloaded the app, but no difference.

    The solution is :
    1. Delete iPhone configuration utility. Just drop it to the trash
    2. Run
    sudo rm -rf /private/var/db/receipts/com.apple.pkg.iPhoneConfigurationUtility.*
    rm -rf ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iPhoneConfigurationUtility.plist*
    3. Delete the whole folder: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext
    4. Reinstall iTunes (just over the previous one)
    5. Restart

  • Adobe Acrobat X Pro - submiting just one page of many

Hi, I was hoping someone could help me. I have been hitting my head against a wall for hours.
I have created an Adobe form in Adobe Acrobat X Pro, It is five pages long and I want to submit only page 5 via email.
I have tried the Field selection option and when I do the FDF doesn’t work and I get the following error message.
‘The file you are attempting to open contains comments or form data that are supposed to be placed on. This document cannot be found. It may have been moved or deleted. Would you like to bowse to attempts to locate this document?’
Is there any java script or anything that can send page 5/5 only or something?

    Hello,
Would you mind reposting this over in the Acrobat forum?  This is the AIR forum and you'll probably find better expertise over there.
    Thanks.

  • Acrobat XI Pro - can't add pages :(

I was using Acrobat 9 Pro - I could add pages easily. With XI - it hangs or crashes just before the screen "add pages before or after" - it's driving me mad - might uninstall it and go back to 9 which was quite stable. Lots of other new features/layouts I hate. Especially the small space available for tools you use regularly

You will need to get LiveCycle Designer, which is now a separate product.
XFA forms created with LiveCycle Designer can be either static or dynamic. Static ones are very similar to forms created in Acrobat (AcroForms) in their behavior. Dynamic forms can have auto-expnding text fields, rows added to and removed from tables, entire sections generated and removed at run time, and a number of other dynamic behavior. So which you choose really depends on what your needs are. Many static XFA forms could be created as AcroForms with no loss in functionality. A big downside to XFA forms nowadays is the lack of PDF viewers for mobile devices that support them. AcroForms have always had more support in general.
JavaScript is used in both XFA and AcroForms, but each has it's own object models. XFA forms also support FormCalc, which isn't a full blown programming language like JavaScript, but it does have a number of useful features. The types of controls are pretty much the same, though an XFA forms support an image field and a good number of 1D barcode types with bar code fields.

  • How do I get a URL to embed with FormsCentral add-on to Acrobat XI Pro?

I have been going around in circles for the last few HOURS trying to find out why my FormsCentral (signed up and signed in, free account) does not give me the options shown in all of the help areas...
When I open my uploaded form (I made a fillable PDF form using Acrobat XI Pro), the drop down menus from the top are Imported Form, Options, Distribute, View Responses and Summary Report...  there is no option to Test and no option in the Distribute area to get the URL to embed...
It says pretty much everywhere that a PDF made in Acrobat can be imported to FormsCentral for distribution, however it won't give me the option to distribute online at all...
Going insane in the maze of forums/ tutorials etc...

  • What is the max form size you can distribute in Acrobat 9 Pro?

    Hello Everyone,
I am using Acrobat 9 Pro to create a survery form that needs to be distributed out to several people.  The form basically is a bunch of radio buttons that answer questions.  There will be well over 200 radio button groups in the 4 page document.  Is there a limit in acrobat for how many form fields you can have?
I just wanted to make sure before I took on the laborious task of creating the form.
Thanks for any help its greatly appreciated.
    Radio Reta

Thanks for the input Try67.  I just found out how many form fields they wanted the other day.  Hopefully its ok but if now we will have to go another route.

  • Form doesn't play nicely with Acrobat 8 Pro

    Hi everyone,
I recently created a very dynamic PDF that we've sent to a number of our partners to help with sharing data.
One of our partners is using Adobe Acrobat 8 to fill in the form. They have reported a bug where filling in a specific number of repeatable subforms causes the order of the subforms to become jumpled, along with having a large number of blank pages tacked onto the end. Removing the 'threashold' repeatabed subform section puts the form back to rights, but any additional subforms added causes the form to break as I've described above.
When I check the compatibility tab of the form properties, I see that all three sections are listed as version 7... I think that applies to the version of LiveCycle.
When I go to save the form as a dynamic PDF, there is a small text included in the save-as screen (near the bottom) saying, "this form is compatible with Acrobat and Adobe Reader 9.0 or later". Is there any way to change the compatibility to 8.0?
To make matters worse, I don't have access to acrobat 8 Pro, so I can't even see the issue for myself. I just have a number of phone conversations to go off of.
I would really appreciate any help that any one might be able to offer. Thanks!

    Hi,
Keep in mind, you only need Reader to use the forms (unless you're doing somthing beyond filling-in form fields). Encouraging Reader (vs Pro) lets the user have the full benefit of all form handling updates--and other compatibility issues like IE9. I've have seen what I believe may be a bug that went away when the client upgraded from Reader 9 to Reader 10. It had to do with repeating table cells all named "Cell" .
For one user, their Reader 9 choked, reporting that it couldn't find Row[i]Cell (this is when the script was looking at Row[i].Cell[0] in a for loop). Didn't like it, but upgrading to Reader 10 made it go away--whew!
I don't rule out that if we tried re-instatling Reader 9, that might have fixed it, as well. However, I've had a problem reported from a different user with Reader 9, that went away with Reader 10, as well. I didn't have the opportunity to view the error reported, so I can't say for sure it was the same thing. That user upgraded and the problem went away.
I now insist that my clients have Reader 10. For me, its just asking for trouble, not to. Here you see there have been improvements for form handling in Reader 8, 9 & 10.

  • Help please! CC desktop app does not see latest Adobe Muse!

I have Muse installed for many months now and would like to update to the latest version of Muse.
The CC desktop app maintains that my Muse is up-to-date!
    Can't be. Please help!

I am afraid this is NOT the case with me.
I am not trying to install Muse.
I would like to update my current version of Muse which I had downloaded with ACC app as I am a CC member. The download desktop app thinks my Muse is up to date, WHICH IT ISN'T!
So, how do I get the desktop app to recognise that my Muse is not the latest version.
Any good suggestions would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro adding a blank page on conversion from Word 2010

Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help.  I'm converting a Word 2010 document to PDF using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (version 9.5.4).  On conversion to PDF, a blank page is being added, throwing the entire report off.  In word, there is a Section Break (Next Page) at the end of the first page, and the text continues on the second.  On conversion, it is after this section break that the blank page apears (i.e., between pages 1 and 2 of the document).  I've been back and forth through the document, tried to use a Continuous Section Break instead (Word just converts it to a page break again), making sure there's only one break, etc., and cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix this problem.  Any ideas?
    Thanks
