Form is taking several minutes to save

In form using item-lot, attempted to put in 10 samples (sublots 001-010).
Time was exactly 3 minutes to save.
In this form both the data blocks are using same table as source, and in On_Insert Trigger its calling API to insert the values,
Can any one help me in this issue,i need to tune the form to save it by less time

in this form its taking item_no,lot_no and according to the sub_lots(10) passing the values.
the form is constructed by two datablocks, one for retreiving the values from database using datasource as table, the other as multidetail block for inserting and taking here also the same datasource name
In this datablock its using On_Insert trigger calling the API to insert the values.
Can any one tell me where exactly the form is taking to time to save the values.

  • Logging into Hyperion Planning is taking several minutes for users

    Hello All,
I'm hoping someone can help with an urgent issue. A problem has popped up the day after everyone returned from holiday break. All users that are listed in MSAD in Shared Services are taking several minutes to log into Hyperion Planning. The only users that are not having problems are admin and a testuser account. Both of these accounts are from the Native Directory.
When I go into Shared Services and do a search in the MSAD, it is taking several minutes for the list of users or groups to come up. Everything is working normally in Planning when I'm using the admin account, except for when I'm trying to assign access to a dimension. That is not working, but I can modify an existing access to a dimension.
Our IT department has restarted all Hyperion services and made sure that the service account (active directory) is not locked. Everything on their end looks like its running correctly, as far as they can tell. I've refreshed the database and security filters, but that has not corrected anything and I've reregistered the application with shared services.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!
    David

    Hello John,
Thank you for the response. I'm not sure if we do have multiple MSAD servers, so I've forwarded the question on to my IT department and I'm waiting for their response.
During my call with Oracle support, they suggested turning off the MSAD group configuration and restarting Hyperion to see if that would help. The only area that it seemed to help is in searching for users in MSAD. That works a lot faster now, but it didn't fix the problem with the users logging into Hyperion. I've sent Oracle the shared services logs for Admin, Hub and Security as they requested and I'm waiting for their response.
    Thanks,
    David

  • I just downloaded firefox and it operates extremely slow, taking several minutes to change screens when clicking on a website.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • PlayerMediaCore Taking Several Minutes to Load

What's this PlayerMediaCore.prm that always hangs on startup? It seems 90% of the load time (about 2-1/2 minutes on my 3.5GHz quad-core) is taken up by this plugin. It has a vital-sounding name, so I'm not sure that removing it is a good idea, but it would be nice if there were a way to speed up the load times. Any ideas for improved loading time?

Mark,<br /><br />Your theory about Cakewalk might be worth investigating.  VST plugins are usually installed in some shared directory (not sure off the top of my head, but probably something like c:\program files\common files\VST\), and Premiere will attempt to load them if it finds them.  <br /><br />One tip to see what's being loaded:  there's a 'plugin loading.log' files that Premiere generates during launch time.  It'll be in your user folder\AppData location (if you're on XP, this will be under c:\documents and settings\<username>\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere Pro\4.0\ ; under vista, it'll be c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\4.0\ ).<br /><br />I've seen your other posts about terrible frame rates, so I'm not ruling out some problem with PlayerMediaCore.  The player plugin has some new component dependencies that are more particular about OpenGL support, so my inclination is that you might need a different driver revision for your graphics card.  I'd usually say 'get the latest', but it seems that that doesn't always cover it (I think I've read a few posts here where people actually backtracked a driver revision version to get things working.)<br /><br />What's your graphic card, and what drivers do you currently have installed?<br /><br />Cheers

  • AppleTV updated now movies take several minutes to play!!!!!

I updated my apple tv yesterday and now it takes a ridiculously unacceptable amount of time for my home share movies to load after I hit play.  I'm talking about going from a matter of seconds to taking several minutes.
Nothing changed in my setup except the update.
Before you give me the usual placations - I already re-started the device then I restored the device (20 minutes) and it didn't fix the problem.
What the heck did Apple do and when are they going to fix it?

Okay...it's been a month and I'm starting to not recommend apple products to people who ask.  I've dumped my small 32 Gig iPhone 4S for a Galaxy Note II 16 gig with a 64 Gig Class 10 Micro SD card and LARGE screen.
But I digress...My AppleTV is still not working.  I'm starting to get more than a little irritated. This all happened aftr the last update.
That STUPID ICON they added for apple products with the videos of their products...oh that starts IMMEDIATELY and streams flawlessly...but my EXTENSIVE library of movies won't start for 8 mintues and when they do if I fast forward it only goes about 2 minutes ahead then buffers for another 8 MINUTES!!!!!!  I'm about to chunk this piece of junk out the window.
APPLE - FIX OR REVERSE THAT LAST APPLE TV UPDATE THAT HAS SCREWED UP MY MOVIE VIEWING FOR THE LAST MONTH.  PULL YOUR HEAD OUT I KNOW YOU'VE BEEN GETTING COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS.
    LET'S GET THIS CORRECTED.

  • Elements 10 takes forever to open, several minutes

Installed Elements 10 on Win 7 64 bit laptop that is plenty powerful.Created a shortcut to launch Elements directly from the directory it installed in.  It can take several minutes to open, if it does.  Have tried Run as Admin, no difference.  Sometimes nothing happens and I have to try several times to get it open.  Once open I went to Preferences and turned off all Media Analysis, and all Third Party things and anything else that might be slowing it.  Only imported about 50 files into the album, and it still takes so long to open I can't tell it is even trying.

Tried that...still takes many minutes to open either from the PhotoshopElements10.exe or the Organizer.exe or the Editor.exe.  Nothing else on my PC is slow, and I run LOTS of things at the same time without problems. But can't get PSE to launch reliably in a timely manner when it is the only thing running.  Takes about 8 min to open Organizer.  From there if I launch Editor through Organizer it opens and locks up "Not Responding" for 5 minutes before I can actually do anything.  This makes the program useless.  With thousands of pictures to deal with..taking so long just to open 1 is nuts

  • GTT helps performance - one day to be several minute

    I have a a case like this:
    for rec (select *
    from gl.interface
    where accounting_date between...
    order by c1, c2)
    loop
-- concate some columns of rec
       -- do update gl_interface
end loop;it takes about a day to generate notepad report from this query (the records is about 6.000.000).
And after along day, i resolve it and it takes only several minutes to generate the report.
What i am doing is these steps:
    1. create global temporary table that delete records after commit. And create some indeks, like rn that is row_number() over (order by c1, c2)
    2. ITAS the gtt with select * , row_number() over (order by c1, c2)
    from gl.interface
    where accounting_date between
    3. change the cursor query above in my oracle form:
    for rec in(
       select *
    from gtt
    where accounting_date between...
    order by rn
    loop
    end loop;
    update gl_interface
    set...
    where exists(
      select ..
    from gtt...
    where col1 =...
)I still wonder how it works? and what is the drawbacks of using this gtt? tx.

    select a||b||c
    from
    instead of
    for ()
    loop
    s = cc.a || cc.b||cc.c....

is it because i put much of the pl-sql statements in my select-sql?Likely because you have reduced context switching between the SQL and PL/SQL engines. By selecting rows in a loop and updating or inserting for each row selected, you are constantly switching back and forth between PL/SQL and SQL, and that is known to be poor for performance. Using a GTT will help improve things because you are reducing the amount of context switches, but then if the data is already coming from database tables, you shouldn't need to use a GTT in the first place... as just doing it directly from the database tables, using something like MERGE will do it all in the SQL engine anyway.

  • Javascript (in Firefox 3) takes several minutes to start working when computer wakes from sleep, Mac OSX 10.5.8

Whenever I wake my Mac from sleep, with Firefox having been left running, some parts of Firefox take several minutes to start working again. These include switching between open tabs and any website functionality that uses javascript, eg gmail. This has gone on through many updates of Firefox. If I quit Firefox immediately on waking the Mac and restart it, everything is OK.

    The following worked for me:
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/684867
"Problem: I had the same problem but with mac osx 10.5.8, Firefox 3.6.6 sometimes prints and sometimes does not, but the preview was always blank and I could not save to pdf file.
Solution: I downloaded Firefox 3.5.10, installed it on my desktop and opened it, tried print preview and it worked, quit Firefox 3.5.10 and ran 3.6.6 and voila! print preview is working fine and I can save to pdf fine.
I guess running 3.5.10 fixes the profile in a certain way. I have no idea how that happened but it worked."

  • My laptop locked after I don't use it for several minutes.

    Hi everyone,
I have a really troublesome problem.
My laptop is locked after I don't use it for several minutes.
When I say locked, I mean it turns to where shows my account name and below it says locked.
At first, I think it is cause by the Auto-lock .cuz I am really annoyed by it, I uninstalled it.
However it still does not work.
Could anyone tell me what the problem is on earth?
Perhaps it is just because I am really not familiar with my new laptop.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

That's a power setting that determines how long before it enters the screen saver, sleep more, or even hibernation mode. You can change either the requirement of a password (somewhere in the screen saver section of Windows) or the duration before it enters those modes (you should be able to set that with the Lenovo Power Center thing). Of course, doing either is a security risk, but that's up to you as to how much security or comfort you want.

    thanks Rogalon,
yes it did receive memory warning , and only call the method of super class like
    - (void)didReceiveMemoryWarning {
[super didReceiveMemoryWarning]; // Releases the view if it doesn't have a superview
// Release anything that's not essential, such as cached data
after picking the photo, I save the image data to a temporary file and release the UIImagePickerController object. and I did check memory allocation with instruments, there is no memory leaks.
today I found that because of the UIWebView, the problem won't appear so frequently if I disable the UIWebView in the application. If I enable the UIWebView in the application, it will cause the problem above and sometimes exit with status 101. And, there are some memory leaks after enable UIWebView

  • Why does every change I make to my iTunes library completely freeze my computer for several minutes??

I am running a clean up program on my computer (Tuneup Media).  Everything runs smooth until I try to apply the changes.  After the songs with new tags save to library Itunes runs 100% of CPU and freezes for several minutes.  After several minutes, it goes back to normal and I fix more song tags and it all starts over again...  Is there something I can disable to prevent this?  HELP!!!

I am experiencing similar freeze with each change to the iTunes library (example: Song's Tag Info).

  • OSX 10.9.5 start up takes several minutes to connect to internet

My mac mini has now got a faster boot up time since having a SSD installed.  However, I have noticed it takes several minutes for it to connect to the internet.  Under Login Items, I use to have my NAS setup to connect a drive on start up.  But, I always received the error "There was a problem connecting to server."  I removed it.
What I have tried so far:
Upgraded from 10.8.5 to 10.9.5, that didn't change anything.
I have a Airport Extreme router (7.6.4) and even swapped it out for a Linksys router to see if that was the issue.  That didn't matter.
All new ethernet cables for the router and mac mini.
Firewall turned off on OSX.  I have since turned it back on since that didn't change anything.  I do have Little Snitch running too.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the Apple discussions.
When you say your machine is near capacity ... you want to keep at least 10% of your hard drive empty for systems usage. Less than that and the system slows way down.
One thing you can do is to use this tool to see what your largest files are on your system - move data to an external hard drive and delete, or just delete unused/un-needed data: http://software.filefactory.com/Mac/WhatSize_10-3-91.html
You might also run MacJanitor to run the daily/weekly/monthly scripts, which sometimes don't run automatically: http://personalpages.tds.net/~brian_hill/macjanitor.html. Some have found using a utility like OnyX can help with disk space. OnyX is available from http://www.titanium.free.fr/pgs2/english/download.html . Note OnyX does the same thing MacJanitor does, plus much more.
You can use Monolingual to delete the languages you know you'll never use from the operating system - depending on choices it can save over 1GB. Choose language options carefully, as you can muck things up if you rush through it: http://monolingual.sourceforge.net/
This FAQ is good reading on maximizing disk space: http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/freeingspace.html
