  • WL 8.1 BEA-101083 error when submitting a form using javascript (IE only)

    Hello,
I have a JSP page that is submitting a form with javascript document.form.submit()
after checking the validity of form element values, but I randomly get a BEA-101083
error. The jsp page has worked fine for several year in IPlanet, and Sun One
7 application server, but when ported over to WebLogic 8.1 SP2 the error manifests
itself. Basically, when user submits the form, the next page is displayed with
null values, and soon after the following stack trace appears in the server log.
This error only occurs when the client browser is IE, Netscape works fine.
    Thanks,

Checkboxes only submit a value when they are "on"
They submit nothing if they are not selected.
The problem comes - do you interpret no checkbox values as "clear all values" or "leave the values alone"? Struts assumes the latter.
Your form is probably being kept in session?
Try implementing the reset() method of your action form and set its property to be equivalent to no checkboxes selected.

While executing onLoad in Date_before Save.htm, a JavaScript error occurred, I have looked af the Forum and it tells me to delete Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver CS3\Configuration\Commands and I cannot find these files despite searching.
I had a text conversation with support at Adobe and they no longe support Dreamweaver CS3!  Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so how was it fixed.

  • While executing onLoad in Date_beforeSave.htm, a javascript error occurred.

I have set up some pages to have an automatically updating
"Last Modified On" date. However, I have been getting 2 error
dialog boxes every time I save a file, both with the same message:
"While executing onLoad in Date_beforeSave.htm, a javascript error

    "Configuration\SiteCache\SEL Web Site.dws" and
"Configuration\WinFileCache-####.dat". I have also tried several
different date formats, but that didn't seem to change anything.
I have not been able to find any threads specific to this

  • DW CS5.5: Javascript error while executing onLoad in Date_beforeSave.htm Not resolved for me!!!

    Hello,
I'm having trouble when moving or renaming files. Linked files are automatically updated, but the following error message appears for each file: "While executing onLoad in Date_beforeSave.htm, a Javascript error occurred".
I tried the solution found in a previous discussion (http://forums.adobe.com/message/757114#757114), that is to say: deleting the .dat file located in the "Applicaion dataAdobe\Dreamweaver CS5.1\Configuration" folder. But it doesn't work.
I also tried by reinstalling the whole CS5.5 pack, but no result.
I also had trouble while installing the CS5.5 Web Premium pack (on Windows XP Pro). Maybe the 2 problems are related?... As the installation was done, an error message appeared saying that some errors occured. Here is part of the error status:
    "- 0 fatal error(s), 14 error(s), 11 warning(s)

    Please, can anyone help?

OK, I'll try to explain more clearly (excuse me if my English is imperfect, because I'm French).
In fact, I'm facing 2 problems, which could be related or not.
First, when I installed Creative Suite 5.5 some months ago, I received an error  at the end of the installation. You can download a copy of the report here: https://www.box.com/s/5m4k6xv68h00cpumwil9
However, I could use the Adobe softwares without observable problem... until those last days...
So, second and really annoying problem that I only detected those last days (maybe I didn't use the implied function before, but I'm not sure). When using DW, if I want to rename or to move some HTML files in a defined website, all the linked files will be automatically updated. As the automatic update is proceeding, I receive, for each updated file, the following error warning: "While executing onLoad in Date_beforeSave.htm, a Javascript error occurred". And I have to click "OK" to each warning in order the processus to go on. The result of the automatic update is uncertain: some files have been properly updated, some other not.
As I already explained in my first post, I tried (unsuccessfully) to resolve by those two means:
deleting ".dat" file in the "config" folder
reinstalling CS5.5 (same error report received as when I first installed).
I hope that I've been more clear that time and that you'll be able to help me! Thanks!

  • JavaScript error with CourseBuilder

    Hi!
I intend to use CourseBuilder for a simple test.
I've done the CourseBuilder tutorial and everything went
    fine.
Two weeks later I tried to implement an interaction in my
page... and got an error message after I had clicked on the action
    manager tab:
"Action manager data was invalid. “ The next message
was about a JavaScript-error in onLoad (coursebuilder
    interaction.htm).
It was not possible any more to edit the interaction in any
site (also not in the tutorial test site...).
I already have de-/re-installed all extension (and only try
CourseBuilder alone), de-/re-installed dreamweaver, deleted all
support files, build a new test site...
I'm confused about it - but I need to deliver the test pretty
    soon.
Maybe I did a basic mistake?
Your help would be appreciated very much
    Kind Regards
    STH

It's still very strange. I really have tried quiet a lot of
options but I still can't start the action manager in
CourseBuilder. In the last weeks I googled a lot. There are some
mistery reports that CourseBuilder stoped to work suddenly. But
eighter is was solved by a new installation or there was no answer.
Finally I made it with forms and layers in dreamweaver
    directly.
Even though you have to do more editing...
at least you are not sitting in front of a black box without
    knowing what's going on.

  • Dreamweaver 6 launch error - JavaScript error bcinit

    Hi
I have DW6 latest version running on Win XP SP3 and am all of a sudden getting the strangest bug (I have reported it), but I am wondering if anyone else has seen it or has any ideas how to fix it?
FYI I have already tried completely uninstalling Creative Cloud, rebooting, running the Creative Clean utility to remove all traces of any suite and then reinstalling Creative Cloud (takes hours ) and still have the same problem which is as follows below (FWIW I have never used BusinessCatalyst, either):
I launch DW and get the following error message "While executing onLoad in BusinessCatalyst.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred: In file "BusinessCatalyst": bcinit is not defined"
When I try to open a file I get the following error message "The following translators were no loaded due to errors: ASP.NET: has configuration information that is invalid. BCDynamicTranslator.html: has configuration data that is invalid. BCStaticTranslator.html has configuration information that is invalid. XSLTransform.htm: has configuration data that is invalid"
Once I clear the dialog DW loads. However, when I attempt to save a file I then get the message "While executing onLoad in _beforeSave.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred: In file "_beforeSave": beforeSave is not defined"
In addition, the space in the Help menu for Updates is simply blank and there is no Edit > Paste item either (just an empty space).
One other clue is that after I reinstalled Creative Cloud and BEFORE I applied the latest updates it seemed DW ran OK (it was a quick check, so I might be wrong).
The problems above are rendering DW unuseable to me at the moment, and it is totally bizarre they remain after a complete reinstall, so any clues on what has happened/how to fix it would be greatfully received!
    Thanks!

    Hi John
So many thanks for that. I tried step 4 and deleted 2 WinFileCache files (neither of which were called what they said they were) and restarted DW and it now (so far!) seems to work again.
I have no idea what went wrong, but I am up and running again, so MUCHOS thanks again for your swift repsonse!

  • 10.1.3 Faces: Javascript error on PPR

    Hi all,
I'm getting a Javascript error during PPR in IE 6.0. This error does not appear in FF 2.0. The error is "Invalid Argument" on line 2984 of adf/jsLibs/Common10_1_3_2_0.js:
    form.removeChild(tempParams[paramName]);
Research suggests that this error should occur when "tempParams[paramName]" was created in a different document from "form", and sure enough, with a DOM inspector, I was able to determine that the documents have different unique IDs.
Does anyone know why this might be happening? It doesn't happen in all my pages, but I can't figure out what might be special about this one.
    Thanks much,
    Avrom

    Hi Frank,
The development environment is JDev 10.1.3.2; I can see if upgrading makes a difference--but the error is actually appearing in the deployed environment, which is Oracle AS 10.1.2.
The error is getting reported by Microsoft's script debugger--without it, there's a brief flash of a warning symbol in the IE status bar, but it disappears quickly.
The reason I care about this error (although it's transient and doesn't really seem to affect the outcome of that PPR) is that I suspect it as the culprit in more worrisome behavior--after this error appears once, the <af:messages> component on the page will no longer refresh until the page is left and returned to (although no error is reported at that time). I'm so suspicious because they always go together--I've never been able to get the component to refresh after getting this error, or to keep it from refreshing without getting it. This includes the fact that neither problem surfaces in FireFox.

  • JavaScript error message

In the middle of using Dreamweaver 8 today, I received
several error messages when trying to open and/or save a file:
    Message #1
    The following javascript error(s) occurred:

    Message #3

XSLT.htm: has configuration information that is invalid
XSLTransform.htm: has configuration information that is

Message #1 and #2 show up two times when trying to open a
file. Message #3 and then Messages #1 and 2 show when trying to
close a file after changes (it asks first "Save changes..." . . .
if I click on yes, then the error messages occur, but when they are
dismissed by clicking on OK, the file seems to be saved, because
the corrected file is uploaded when using FTP. If I try to save the
changed file by using File>Save As... nothing will happen.
I used the Remove Program function in Control Panel, and then
re-installed Dreamweaver 8 using my Studio 8 CD#1 and following the
Wizard prompts. The files still show in the "local sites: list and
I can open the files (albeit with the error messages above) and the
changed/edited files are still saved and FTP'd to my server. So
from the end-user view, all is OK. But... this is different this
afternoon from how it was working this morning.
Can anyone suggest how I should proceed to make it work
    without the error messages?
    TIA --
    Joyce

Have a read of this article:
    http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_19105
and if that doesn't help you can try this:
    Quit DW.
    Find this folder -
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
    Explorer > Tools >
    Folder Options to unhide them)
Delete it. Restart DW and hopefully you're fixed.

    Hello Everybody!
I am using Crystal Reports 10 in my web application. But unfortunately I am surrounded with strange problem related to it because of which I have been unable to deploy is on client-side. In my application the error given below is displayed as javascript error in Report Viewer and report is not displayed. But more frustrating part is that I am getting the same error due to different problem with reporting and I am stuck with it as I am unable to figure out what's causing the error now. Earlier this error appeared due to problem with parameter passing to stored procedure which I resolved it and error vanished but once again it has shown up. Moreover this error now appears less frequently and randomly therefore it is even difficult to trace the cause.
Problem with this Web page might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly. In the future, you can display this message by double-clicking the warning icon displayed in the status bar.
    Line: 40Char: 12Error: Expected ')'Code: 0URL: http://myServer/myApp/myForms/myReports/ReportViewer.aspx
So can anybody tell me what factors might be causing this errors as the error text is very vague in nature and gives no idea about the actual error.
Guys, I hope for your kind co-operation.

    Thanks for you reply Krishna.
But this syntax error is the one that is creating problem for me as I cannot trace it. The form ReportViewer.aspx contains only a report viewer object which remains un-binded to any ReportDocument even at runtime.
At code behind ReportViewer.aspx I have code below that associates SQL Stored Procedure Parameter and Report Filter along with report name. Once all above is associated with ReportDocument, I export ReportDocument to PDF file format and display the report. Here I dont' even bind ReportDocument with my ReportViewer. Moreover, as I mentioned previously this error is encountered randomly (with no reasonable explanation so far) on client PC (while browsing through application).
I hope below code give you good idea of the way I am implementing my reporting.
Looking forward to you solution. Please note that I am only passing the ReportFileName and Parameter and Filter Criteria to this form while dataTable by itself using the connection information.

  • JavaScript error using UIXML to generate frames

    Hello all,
I am trying to use the uix:frameBoderLayout and uix:frame elements to generate an HTML page with frames. I get a Javascript error when running the testFrame.uix in JDeveloper 9.0.3. Both MSIE and Netscape yield the same error.
    The JavaScript error is:
    JavaScript Error:

    <!-- Created by Oracle UIX 2.1.7 -->
_checkLoad is contained in the MarlinCore.js file.  That file should be in cabo/jslib/ directory.
Two things strike me odd about the generated HTML code with relation to JavaScript. First, I expect to see JavaScript source files declared in the head portion. Second, the source files is declared after the onload call is made to the _checkLoad function.
The third thing that I can see possibly causing the error is that the MarlinCore.js file is not visible to the server and therefore not delivered to the browser. But I am not certain where to find the files used by the embedded OC4J server.
Is this a bug in 9.0.3?
The uix files follow. All three framed pages (topFrame.uix, centerFrame.uix and bottomFrame.uix) display nicely in the uix preview and run nicely in the embedded OC4J.

    Your assistance is appreciated,
    Bill

Did you create the files with JDev 903 preview or JDEV 902? If you created with JDEV 902 and upgraded your project to
903 you need to delete all the files in the cabo directory in your public_html directory. That should get rid of your
    javascript errors.
