Form problem - im a newbie

Hi. I've created a Tab Canvases )essentially a master-detail, but the detail is split over two tabs). When i try to add a new canvas(to create another form), the same tab canvass i created on initial canvas keeps appearing. Maybe i don't understand when to use tab canvases. Can you advise me on this topic please.
thanks

HI ,
Maybe i don't understand when to use tab canvasesYou may use tab canvases when you want to group a lot of related data into subgroups.
For example:
You have the entity of a person.You want to insert data about :
1) His biographical data,
        2) His jobs(present and past),
        3) His education(diplomas...e.t.c.).I the above situation you group all data into a canvas consisting of 3 tabs-one per category.
As regards, the implementation of this type of canvas....read carefully and follow the instructions on each page of the wizard (block and canvas wizards).
Regards,
Simon

  • Smart Form problem with address layout

    Hello everyone,
    I need your help please for a smart form problem. We need the address layout for great britain with street1, street2 etc. but currently street2 is alligned before street1.
    We are using the FM ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM (SAP standard address node) and according to the documenation the layout for GB is different as we see it currently.
    We have checked the sold-to and all contact persons, they have as country GB and language EN maintained.
    In customizing for address screen layout there is nothing chosen (tested to set up Europe, but did not change anything).
    For the customizing 'specify my countries...' we have maintained GB as country with the address layout key 006, vehicle country key GB and language key EN.
    For the described setting shouldn't there be designed the address in our smart forms according to 006? Anyhting in customizing we missed?
    Thanks a lot for your answers.
    Torsten

    Hi,
    Try to use line priority of FM, below is a brief of documentation. You can read it more in FM documentation:
    Control Parameters
    See also the parameter documentation.
    ADDRESS_TYPE - Address type (from 3.0C)
    There are three types of address:
    Address type '1': addresses of firms or organizations; the address
    structure which is used in most SAP applications as 'Address'.
    Address type '2': address of a person
    Address type '3': work address, usually the address of a contact person
    in a company
    The default value SPACE for the address type is handled like type '1',
    and is needed for the upwards-compatibility of the function module.
    Which parameters are used for which address type is explained in the
    ADDRESS_TYPE parameter documentation.
    The three character "address layout key" of the recipient country (LAND1) controls which of the available country-specific routines is used to format addresses for the country in question. This key is stored in field T005-ADDRS and is entered in Customizing under Global settings -> Set countries -> Define countries, on the detail screen under "Address layout key".
    Keys for customer routines in the SAP enhancement SZAD0001 can be
    maintained via the transaction SM30 (extended table maintenance),table
    name T005A, in the customer name range, and be assigned in country customizing.
    The address attributes are passed in the structures ADDRESS1 (type 1), ADDRESS2 (type 2), ADDRESS3 (type 3) or ADRSWA_IN (type SPACE).
    NUMBER_OF_LINES (ADRSWA_IN-ANZZL)
    The number of lines available for the address layout. If the number of
    lines is not sufficient for the complete layout of an address, then
    lines are consecutively suppressed according to the rules of the country in question. Use the parameter LINE_PRIORITY (ADRSWA_IN-PRIOR) overrules the standard sequence in which the output lines are to be suppressed.
    LINE_PRIORITY (ADRSWA_IN-PRIOR)
    If not equal to SPACE, this field overwrites the standard sequence in
    which the lines are suppressed if the available number of lines ANZZL is
    insufficient.
    The standard sequence is defined as follows:
    Type 1:   'AP43HRT7I86LC2BS5O'       (GB:  'APRT4327I86CBS5LO')
    Type 2:   'APHRT7I86LCBS5O'          (GB:  'PRT7I86CBS5LO')
    Type 3:   'APF43HR7I86TLC2BSND5O'    (GB:  'APRT4327I86CBS5LNDIO')
    where (if they occupy a line of their own):
    A = Title
    P = Mandatory empty line 1
    F = Function of the contact person in the company
    4 = Name 4
    3 = Name 3
    H = Different city
    R = Region
    T = District
    L = Name of country
    C = Postal code
    T = District
    7 = Street 3 (field STR_SUPPL2)
    I = Street 5 (field LOCATION)
    8 = Street 4 (field STR_SUPPL3)
    6 = Street 2 (field STR_SUPPL1)
    L = Country
    C = Postal code
    2 = Name 2
    B = PO Box
    S = Street or PO Box
    5 = c/o name
    N = Name (and title) of a person
    D = Department
    O = City
    Which of these attributes are available for maintenance can vary. All
    fields exist in Business Address Services.
    STREET_HAS_PRIORITY (ADRSWA_IN-WAREN)
    'X': Street has priority over PO Box (delivery address for example)
    ' ': PO Box has priority over street. This is the default value.

  • Muse CC 2014 contact web forms problems

    Hi I recently created a website using muse cc 2014 and I uploaded it to the hosting server a free one at freehosting.com I set up everything I know of and when I uploaded the site using muse it gave a error message saying something about PHP mail??? I setup the mail account for my admin user and entered that in the muse contact form. If I test the contact form I do not get the messages and I even added a email to have it forwarded to my yahoo account. If I go in my email account and enter the hosting email account I however do see the message on the server's webmail page and it gets forwarded to the email I set to be the forward email. I checked everything and I'm really confused as what needs to be done. I also submitted a ticket asking customer service they have yet to respond. To note I'm using a free hosting company as it's just a personal website that I don't need all the fancy stuff just the basic needed components to make it work. my website does show up and the pages work EXCEPT the contact form which is needed and important. I ran the script and this is the results
    PHP Version - OK
    mail configured incorrectly
    SQL configuration problem
    The last two  items I really don't understand what is the problem
    Im using Cpanel and here is some basic info on the  host server. Please help me. Thanks
    Hosting package
    Free Website
    Server Name
    customers
    cPanel Version
    11.44.0 (build 16)
    Theme
    x3
    Apache version
    2.4.9
    PHP version
    5.4.26
    MySQL version
    5.5.37-cll
    Architecture
    x86_64
    Operating system
    linux
    Shared IP Address
    Path to sendmail
    /usr/sbin/sendmail
    Path to Perl
    /usr/bin/perl
    Perl version
    5.10.1
    Kernel version
    3.14.3
    cPanel Pro
    1.0 (RC1)

    What would be the fix or proper setup for the "SQL configuration problem?" I too am having form problems on a third party host, and after checking the PHP diagnostics, the "php version" reads ok, the "mail configuration" is ok, but the SQL configuration is not.
    I guess I just need to know what I need to communicate to the hosting administrator about the SQL so they will configure it properly.
    Thanks

  • Open form - close form problem

    Hi. Using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3., ADF BC.
    Simple, yet not so simple problem: I have two forms, Main and Detail (JFrame). Main form has menu item which I use to open Detail form:
    try {
    FormDetail frmDetail = new FormDetail();
    frmDetail.setBindingContext(panelBinding.getBindingContext());
    // center jframe, visible = true
    showNewForm(frmDetail);
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    ex.printStackTrace();
    } finally {
    I want to create new instance every time I show Detail form. But I have problem closing detail form. Here is Detail constructor:
    public FormDetail() {
    addWindowListener(new WindowAdapter() {
    public void windowClosing(WindowEvent e) {
    dispose();
    Here are actions:
    1) start Main form
    2) open Detail form
    3) close Detail form
    4) try to open Detail form - oracle.jbo.JboException 35001.
    I've read about this error, but I don't know how to avoid it.
    I cannot accept that I always have to use setVisible(true) and setVisible(false) on all my forms. There has to be a way to dispose of detail forms, and re-create them. Can someone please help?
    Also, read article on Re: ADF-JClient bug
    No solution there

    I have looked at it before. I am not working with MDI forms, so I cannot apply this.
    I found this article which could solve my problem, but I don't know how is "thedude" creating that Abstract class he was talking about...
    Link: Re: how to release panelbinding correctly?
    As I understood, I should release panel binding before I can release the form...
    Default behavior of detail form's window listener is Exit(0). I want to reinstantiate form every time I open it.

    I haven't used  Matt Wright's scripts in this century, but I'm pretty sure that Perl still needs to go into your CGI bin and the permissions level (chmod) must be set to 755 or possibly 777 for the script to read, write & execute.

  • Report 9i parameter form problem, is it a bug?

    Hi all,
    I am using Dev 9i IDS, rel. 9.0.2, running in windows 2000. I've been converting my forms and reports from previous versions to 9i, and I came across an issue with the report's parameter form.
    First, I thought it could be a problem during the conversion , but to make sure I developed a new form and a new report straight in the 9i IDS suite, using Scott's DEPT table. The new form is simple having a button to call the new report which is based on the DEPT table and accepts an user's input for a dept. no.
    The same problem occurs:
    - in the form, if I set PARAMFORM=HTML then it could not open the report parameter form, hence the report could not run.
    - if I set PARAMFORM=YES, then the report parameter form is displayed, then I can enter a value for the department number. BUT, when I clicked the Submit Query button the report failed, and I received the following error:
    REP-52007: Parameter form format error.

    I have no problem integrating others reports that don't have parameter form using run_report_object. And, I've checked and tried different ways of manipulating the parameter value using to_number in the report's where clause etc., it never worked.
    I guess the only workaround is to create the parameter form in Forms builder. Is there other ways of doing it , or is it a bug of the 9i IDS suites that needs to be fixed?
    - Thanks

    Hi Frank,
    There's a note published on Metalink, note 139546.1, showing a workaround to thi problem. but
    - it is rather lengthy and confusing, may not be practical .
    - it only applies to Forms and Reports 6i.
    However, it shows that the problem comes from 2 items in the source code of the parameter form which is produced by the RUN_REPORT_OBJECT built-in:
    1. <form method=post action=""> where action contains an empty string, it needs to have a valid entry, e.g.
    <form method=post action="http://hostname:port/cgi/rwci60.exe?">
    2. <input name="hidden_run_parameters" type=hidden value=""> where hidden value is also empty. It should contains all parameter values passed to the report parameter form, e.g.
    <input name="hidden_run_parameters" type=hidden value="report%3test+destype%3Dcache+userid%Dscott.....">
    And that is what I found, but I am reluctant to try it in 9i IDS, hoping Oracle has a better solution than that.
    Tho.

  • CALLING A REPORT FROM FORMS (PROBLEM)

    MY PROBLEM IS THE NEXT:
    I CREATED A MASTER-DETAIL REPORT CALLING 'ASUNTOS'WITH THE NEXT QUERY:
    SELECT ABOGADOS.APELLIDO_P,ABOGADOS.APELLIDO_M,ABOGADOS.NOMBRES,
    ASUNTOS.EXP_INT,ASUNTOS.MATERIA,ASUNTOS.GERENCIA,
    ASUNTOS.EMPRESA,ASUNTOS.RECLAMA,ASUNTOS.PESOS,
    ASUNTOS.DOLARES
    FROM ABOGADOS,ASUNTOS
    WHERE ABOGADOS.FICHA = ASUNTOS.F_ABOG
    AND ASUNTOS.F_ABOG = :ABOGADO ;
    -- ABOGADO = PARAMETER.
    THIS REPORT WORKS FINE THE PROBLEM IS WHEN I TRY CALL THIS REPORT FROM FORM I'VE USE A BUTTON(WHEN_BUTTON_PRESSED) WITH THE NEXT CODE:
    DECLARE
    LISTA PARAMLIST := GET_PARAMETER_LIST('ABOG');
    BEGIN
    IF ID_NULL(LISTA) THEN
    LISTA := CREATE_PARAMETER_LIST('ABOG');
    ADD_PARAMETER(LISTA,'DESTYPE',TEXT_PARAMETER,'PRINTER');
    ADD_PARAMETER(LISTA,'DESNAME',TEXT_PARAMETER,'LPT2');
    ADD_PARAMETER(LISTA,'ABOGADO',TEXT_PARAMETER,TO_CHAR(:ASUNTOS.F_ABOG));
    -- ADD_PARAMETER(LISTA,'PARAMFORM',TEXT_PARAMETER,'YES');
    END IF;
    RUN_PRODUCT(REPORTS,'ASUNTOS',SYNCHRONOUS,RUNTIME,FILESYSTEM,LISTA,NULL);
    END;
    BUT THE REPORT NOTHING DISPLAY.
    THERE ARE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CODE IN THE BUTTON

    Roberto,
    Does your report work when it is not called from Forms?
    try the following:
    [TOOLS_HOME]\BIN\RWRUN60 module=ASUNTOS destype=screen userid=<username>/<password>@<tns> ABOGADO=<some_valid_code>
    where TOOLS_HOME is the directory where Reports is installed.
    I can see nothing wrong with your code.
    Maybe some error in the query?
    Also, I would check for the existence of multiple ASUNTOS report definitions. Maybe Forms is calling an older one.
    Hope this helps,
    Pedro das Neves

  • PDF Forms: problem with keypad "decimal dot" when filling "number" fields

    Ok, here's my problem :
    I've created a form with fields. My client want to input in those fields amount of money. So I've created fields formatted with the "Number" category. 2 decimals, "1234,56" separator style, not currency symbol. So far, so good!
    When testing out the form, here's what happening :
    On the computer that I've created the form (iMac, Acrobat Pro and Reader, french canadian keyboard layout and system)
    Using the keypad, I can input numbers, with the "decimal point" from the keypad no problem.
    But when the client is trying to to the same on his PC (and the same is happening with my PC at home, Acrobat Pro 9.2, french canadian keyboard layout and system), I CAN'T use the "decimal point" keypad key to input numbers (like 43,25). It's just not working (error sound). I can however use the "dot" on the keyboard near the "M" key, but the client don't want to do that.
    Why is it working on the Mac, but not on the PC's!?
    So far, the only workaround that I've found is to set the "money" fields categories to "none" instead of "number.

    It is a little bit tricky, but you might have to add your own formatting handler. You would proceed as follows:
    1. Set the Format to "none".
    2. Add the following script to a Custom Keystroke event:
    if (event.change.length > 0 && event.willCommit == false) {event.change = event.change.replace(/\,/gim, ".") ;
    3. Add the following script to a Custom Format event:
    event.value = event.value.toString().replace(/\./gim, ",") ;
    And that should take care of the situation.
    Note that i have not tested the scripts, and there may be a chance for bugs.
    The advantage of this solution is that internally, you will have the correct format for a number, so that calculations will be correct.
    Hope this can help.

  • Smart form problem when printing header in table

    Hi Friends,
    I am facing some problem in smartform. In my smartform there is a table - where I should print "Header" at each start of line items and also at page break. So, I checked both the check boxes in Header as "Start of table" and "Page break".
    Now the problem is in main window - it is printing Header and line items are coming. After finished Again the header is coming and line items are coming. In some cases - What is happenning is: If the first page ends at the header only - Header is getting printed in the first page and the page ends here. In the next page also "Header is appearing because i checked page break". So, it is appearing twice.
    Could someone please guide me on this issue.
    Regards,
    Hari

    Hi,
    At any case the two headers will not be displayed if you select the both "start of table" and "at page break.". Please check whether there is another widow in the form from where the header is displaying.
    Thanks ,
    Abhijit

    so please to help me on this issue
    Note:
    the form deployed under UNIX on Application Server
    Thanks
    Murad.

    From ORA-06508 is seems like WEBUTIL.pll is not found in the runtime-environment.
    Possible solutions:
    Check if the WEBUTIL.pll (or plx) is on the path where the fmx-File is placed.
    If not, check the FORMS90_PATH in your env-File (normally default.env) (you didn't mention your forms-Version, may also be FORMS60_PATH) and if the WEBUTIL.pll is in that path, if not adjust the env-file.
    If its still not working, check if WEBUTIL.pll is attached including the full Path (unattach WEBUTIL.pll and reattach it without the path)
    Last hint: Case-sensitivity: If you attach in lowercase-letters and library is in uppercase on unix-system the library will not be found at runtime. You won't see how the the pll was attached, best method is to unattach library and reattach it in correct case.
    Another remark:
    The DDE-Exception seem to be useless, because you don't use DDE (and i would not work for its not available under unix).
    Hope this helps

  • Adobe forms - problem with the character "9"

    I have the problem with printing Adobe forms that were introduced with Russian country version.
    Funny enough I have no problems with russian characters. They all print all right.
    We have however the problem with character "9". On the preview of the pdf it looks ok. When I print it from PDF preview it prints ok. But when I process it for sap to the HP output device (device type HPLJ4) "9" gets replaced with "<".
    Has anyone experienced this problem?

    ok, you're right. But, my problem is a little bit different :
    I would like to replace the "\n" character (new line) by the 2 characters "\n".
    I test this source code :
    String tmp = "First line\nSecond line";
    tmp.replaceAll("\n", "\u005C\u005Cn");
    System.out.println(tmp);
    tmp.replaceAll("\n", "\\n");
    System.out.println(tmp);
    tmp.replaceAll("\n", "\\\\n");
    System.out.println(tmp);
    The 3 results are the same :
    First line
    Second line
    I never have "First line\nSecond line".
    Best regards.
    K96
    PS : The objective is to write the string in a SQL request.

  • Problem with overclocking (newbie) help me please

    Hi I´m a newbie from Spain and i have some problems:
    First my configuration:
    Motherboard MsiNeo2 Bios 1.6 (higher bios make my score in 3dmark03,01,sandra decrease)
    2,4 Ht BUs 800
    Ram 2x256 ddr 400 (dual) Samsung (3,4,4,8,8) on default.Dram frecuency auto
    Club 3d 9700 nopro  default (275/270) but when i put fast on mb rises to 297/290
    Enermax 400W
    CPU Vcore 1.5250 V
    DDR Power Vol 2.70 v
    AGP Power Vol 1.55
    Well i have put system fast and Ram timmings change from 3,4,4,8,8 to 2,5,3,3,8,8 but the system runs perfectly stable:
    I don´t know if my scores are right but with system fast and Omega 24.60 (all other new drivers make my scores decrease and some games get freezy):
    3dmark03: 4497
    3dmark01: 14096
    sandra 2004 (guru3d version): RAM benchmark: 4476 (first num that appears the other is similar)
    I tried to put my sistem on turbo but it only run if i change timmings (more tigh)and 3dmark03 and 01 runs but after time playing games some get freezy or sometimes run very fast(NFSUNDERGROUND) and suddenly run normal, i think it´s because of timmings the system is no stable.
    I have read some post about overclocking but i have a big problem:
    I put my sistem slow
    dram frecuency 333
    and FSB for example 235 (then agp/pci clock rises from 66.66/33.33 to aprox 78)
    (i don´t know if this is ok) i don´t change anything more  and the sistem runs ok (p4 2,82) but 3dmark03 and 01 runs but
    when they are going to make the first test the monitor turns black and i have to reset the sistem.However Sandra mem benchmark
    rises from 4476 to 4652 (ddr frecuency 391)
    My question is if i have to change some vol (agp,ddr,cpu core...) to reach that benchmarks runs ok
    Well, sorry for my english and thanks

    Please read Rules of the forum and set up a signature with your system specs and power supply with rail ratings.
    Your problem here is your AGP / PCI clock rising to approx. 78.
    You should have a BIOS setting in Frequency / Voltage Control, Adjust AGP/PCI Clock (Mhz) that allows you to fix this at 66.66/33.33.
    If you are already doing this, what are you using to measure your AGP clock?

  • Acrobat 9 Pro form problem

    I've created a form in Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and it works well. It's a survey form. The problem is when I set the form using "Extend Features with Acrobat Reader", the reader version of the form "remembers" past entries for fields which require free form entries. I've tried using "Clear Form" and then saving the document as another version, but when I open it up with Reader, and I click on the free form fields, I get a drop down of previous entries into those fields.
    So, how do I clear this information out of the Acrobat file once and for all?

    Is it tunred off for the Reader installation or in your Acrobat installation. It doesn't matter what your Acrobat settings are when it's used by someone else with Reader.
    Recent versions of Acrobat/Reader do not cache form data in the way mentioned by GKaiseril. This used to happen when a form was viewed in a browser.

  • Emailing Adobe PDF Form Problem

    I have created a fillable form in Adobe Acrobat Pro v9 and I want to be able to send it individually to people to complete and email back to me in order to gather data. I'm testing it and it will not allow the recipient to save the file using Adobe Reader once they've completed it in order to email it back. I have enabled the Extended Features for Reader, but that has not solved the problem. Is there any way I can do what I'm needing using just Adobe Acrobat? After doing some research I discovered LiveCycle, but I work on a Mac and I don't see that they have a Mac version. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!
