Form property defaults

In Acobat X, I have tried to change the default font & size by right-clicking on a form field and clicking on 'Current properties as new default'. No matter how often I do this, is will not take and keeps reverting to Helvetica something or other. I would appreciate a solution, as I need to change every new form field individually - a real nuisance. Thanks!

Failure:
I started with an ordinary pdf file. I do not know how to create a single form field so I let Acrobat create forms automatically. I selected one of the new text box form fields. I changed its font to Consolas 12. I right-clicked on my field and checked "use current properties as new defaults." Then I right clicked in a free area to create a new text box form field. The new field had Helvetica font. I conclude that "use current properties as new defaults" did not "take." I tried saving and quitting and opening again - still no good. Maybe the key is to create a single form field - can we do that?
Success:
I selected all the form fields and changed the font to Consolas 12. But In multipage pdfs it is a little tricky and I hade to select using the pane that lists the fields.
Warning: do this before creating any check boxes - you don't want to change their font.
I really don't know what I'm doing and why this or that works. I'd welcome your insights.

When I input front into textbox with Acrobat 7.0 , the default font size is times roman, and defaul front size is 9, but i want to change its defaul attribute, so i press "Ctrl + E" ,and it daps textbox tool bar, then choose and modify attribute ,let them as my dafault configuration, but when i open a new PDF file ,and insert and edit textbox , the front's attribute return before .How to set up my requisite the font size or front form by default ?

This is an old version, so I'm not sure it's available there, but try to
right-click the field using the Object Selection Tool (after you've set it
up the way you want it) and then select "Use current properties as new
defaults".

How to map a custom enum list to a custom form property in an extended incident class

Hi,
I'm struggeling to understand how to map a custom enum list to a custom form property in an extended incident class.
Here's what i want to have happen:
I am going to publish a request offering on my SMPortal for allowing users to submit basic IT incidents. I want the form to include "Whom does this problem affect" (answers(This is the custom enum list): Me, Multiple Users, Whole department or Whole
company), "What is the problem about", "Description" and "Attachments".
Here's what i've done:
In the authoring tool i created a MP for the custom enum list and put only the list in it. I sealed the MP and imported it.
I created another unsealed MP called TST.Incident.Library for storing incident library customizations and extended the incident class to add an extension class i called ClassExtension_Affected scope with a custom property i called AffectedScope. Then i am trying
to set the datatype of this property to "list". In the "select a list" dialog i cannot chose my previously sealed MP with the custom enum list in it. Why?
- Do i need to scratch the sealed MP and put the custom enum list in the latter TST.Incident.Library MP instead?
- If so, can i do that and keep this MP unsealed, or will i get an error on import saying "Unsealed management packs should not contain type definitions"
- Should i create one sealed MP for both the custom enum list and the extension class + custom property?

Hi,
Authoring Tool simply isn't informed about your list. Open the sealed management pack where you define the root of the list in the Authoring Tool and in the same time open TST.Incident.Library. You will have two opened MPs in the Authoring
Tool and be able to add a custom list for your custom field.

Approval preview in SRM in table form by default...

Hi experts,
Please tell me, what should I do to have document approval preview in SRM (5.0 version - Extended Classic) in table form by default? In standard, default setting is that approval preview is shown as a java applet graphics. But I have to make it by default visible in table form with option to change it to java applet graphic, if someone needs that. Can I do it somewhere in spro?

Deactivate java applet approval preview

Clearing the forms after default Save Button pressed

HI,
in forms 6i how to clear the form after the save button is pressed, ie the form uses default menu and smart bar. the user wants to clear the form once he selects save from the menu or after pressing the save icon...
any idea...?

try on-commit trigger on form level through clear_form procedure but cursor remain stay on the same record
I think your requirement is that when user commits a record a new blank record appear so also add "create_record" procedure ;
.but u have to apply some logic on that trigger also it ever fires when user edit/insert/delete a record and commit;

LineSeries form property missing in 2.01

I just "upgraded" flex builder to 2.01 from 2.0. It looks
like the LineSeries class no longer contains the 'form' property.
Has it been renamed?

The answer to my own question is that 'form' is now a style.
It can be set by:
myLineSeries.setStyle("form", myForm);

Form property doesn't copy

it means i neither copy the form property "COORDINATE_SYSTEM " nor set it with programmatically .right !!!!
so, it is the bug of forms 6i .

FORM PROPERTY CHANGES

In forms 6i,
Property of field in forms changes automatically. This
happens even when the property of field is set by property class
and also for other items.
I am unable to understand the problem in this. Has anyone faced
problem like this. Please reply us back on this.

We converted forms 4.5 version to forms 6i. A new width need
to be changed from varchar2(5) to varchar2(12). I made the
change in the form by setting the form property width to 12.
When i rechecked the field after some time, the width changed
back to the 5. Another major problem is database Yes/No
property for fields also changes drastically. Certain control
fields are set to database yes automatically. It would be of
great help if you can help us in sorting out this problem.

'Maximum Query Time'
It doesn't seem to work.
Do I have to make some kind of setup on the server?
What unit is 'Maximum Query Time' - seconds?

According to the help file, that property is:
Provides the option to abort a query when the elapsed time of the query (in seconds) exceeds the value of this property.
How you would use it would be if you did not want your user to sit and wait a significant amount of time while a query executes. Some processes can take a fair amount of time on a busy database. Setting this property will assure your user will not wait any longer than the number of seconds you set in this property.
I have a couple of stored procedures that take "many minutes" to execute. If a user had issued a query against a table that one of my stored procedures had locked and I had set this parameter, the screen would abort the query and not wait for my stored procedure to complete. Otherwise, the user would have to wait until the database freed up the table before completing the query.

Forms Builder default font?

Is there anyway to set the default font that Forms Builder uses when creating text items?
Normally when I start developing a new form Forms Builder defaults the font to Microsoft Sans Serif 8, but for some reason everytime I open Forms Builder now I get a font of Tahoma 8 and I'd like to change it to something else.

Java fonts are different and limited, so even you set your fonts different on windows, at runtime you will be limited to the java supported fonts. I usually set it to helvetica and it seems pretty close to what I see at runtime. But , we are developing and deploying on Linux, so it may be different on windows.

Resetting a form to default state

I have a form with lots of swing components(JtextFields,JRadioButtons,JComboBoxes), and I want to be able to "reset" the form back to its' original state(i.e. blank textfields,no selected radiobutttons,comboboxes with defaults showing). Is there a single method to update the entire form to its' original state? Thanks.

done this before,
what i did was, i create a function, in this function i have all the add functions i.e adding the objects to the container. everytime i want to reset the form, i call the removeAll() function which clears the frame from all components and then i call the function that adds the components to the frame example

How to set date field in custom form to default to {NOW} plus one year.

I am developing a subscription site. I have the custom form for inputing a users information. I have the subscribe date set up as a default field of {NOW} that works great.
Now I need the renewal field to default to exactly one year from the subscribe date.
Any help would definitely be appreciated.

Oracle forms standard/default menu - Record Delete option

Hi ,
Oracle forms provides a standard menu with the below options.
Action , Query , Block , Record , Help etc.
Under each of these Menu options there are sub options.
Eg: Under Record we have Previous , Next , Insert , Delete etc.
Can someone please tell me how to control this menu item options for different forms.
Eg: for 1 form i want to allow the Record - Delete option but for another form i dont want to give this option.
How to do this ??
Please help....

The Oracle Forms documentation states:
The Default menu is built-in to every form, and is not a separate menu module.
You cannot change the structure of the Default menu or edit the menu items it
displays.
If your application requires
unique menu functions, you must create a custom menu module and attach it to
your form.
If the internal default menu almost meets your needs, you can attach the
"menudef.mmb" approximation of the default menu to the form. You can then
rename and edit this menu.
You can download the demo version for 10g R2 and menudefs_10g.mmb is included with the demos.

Webdynpro for ABAP - Interactive Form property 'Enabled'

Hi All,
I have developed a webdynpro and created a Interactiveform in main view. In Property if i check Enabled the form is not displaying in the output. If I uncheck it 'The form is not interactive (means user input not allowed)'. How can i make the form interactive and display in the output. Hope you guys understood my issue. Please lemme know if you need any further information.
Also Please guide me how can I pass values from attributes of different nodes to 'pdfsource' attribute.

I am able to see if it is not interactive.
Displaytype is native only.
Let me explain you the issue in detail:
Currently Client is calling ZFORM thro Java. They have some issues with JAVA so they want to use Webdynpro to call that ZFORM and the form is ABAP Dic based.
For Templete source I gave ZFORM name, and it automatically created a 'NODE' wrt the context in the ZFORM.
Now I have to pass data from difft node attributes to that 'NODE'.

Property default value in presentation doesn't work in vSphere Web Client.

Hi,
Some of my default values don't work in the vSphere Web client.
Here is an example :
The user need to choose a date, this input parametter is called "FormDateRealisation".
In the next step, I have a user interraction with external input called "AppDateRealisation", that is an attribute. In the presentation, this parameter as a Default value property set to "#FormDateRealisation".
It work perfectly in the Java client, but when I try the workflow in vSphere web client, the default value doesn't not work.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this ? I already found a solution to bypass this bug (Creating a script to transfert the input to the attribute)... But I would like to use the default value.

I opened a ticket, they didn,t found the solution. But we found those logs:
Execution of action com.DemandeServeur/EspaceDisqueMultiple10 returned a javacsript 'undefined' value. Perhaps a return statement is missing in this action ? Will be converted to null.
Here is my code of "EspaceDisqueMultiple10":
Return type: string
