Form Received Is Jibberish

I am such a novice that I didn't even know what forum to submit this question to. This is my problem that I hope you can lend some simple-non programmer type solutions to. I have lucked up on being able to creat great forms in Abode Acrobat Pro LiveCycle, the however when I place the 'submit by email button',I expected to receive a completed form that looks like the one they fill out, but instead I receive what looks like coding language and then over to the right of it, is the answer they have typed in. How can I set this up (simply) to just receive the actual completed form in PDF format when they select the 'submit by email button'. PLEASE help. Thank you!!

Item Validation on a Form - Receives ORA-0094: Invalid Idenitier error

I'm fairly new to APEX and having an issue with an Item Validation on a Form receiving the ORA-0094: <Column Name>: Invalid Identifier error. I have looked at postings in this form on this error and tried many of the suggestions. I still can not get it to work. My lack of experience with APEX is not helping either.
I'm using APEX release 2.2 with IE6.
I'm trying to create a new Invoice in the Invoice table (CTS_INVOICE). The RFA Number for this invoice must be an active RFA record in the RFA table (CTS_RFA). Before I add the check for the RFA active status, I wanted to get the code that checks for the existence of the RFA record working first.
After filling in the fields on the forms, click the Create button, and receives an error page with the following error ORA-0094: "RFA_NUMBER": Invalid Identifier.
I have checked to make sure the table name, column name, and item name were correct with spelling and capitalization.
Used the Wizard to setup the Item Validation.
Type: EXISTS
Validation Expression 1: Select 1 from CTS_RFA where RFA_Number = :P25_RFA_NUMBER
Error message: Enter an active RFA number.
location: Inline with Field and in Notification
Associated Item: P25_RFA_NUMBER
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Vivian - Might the column have been created as a quoted identifier with mixed upper/lower case characters?
Run this in SQL*Plus:
select count(rfa_number) from cts_rfa;
If that works without error then this is not the problem.

Can't Edit "Form Received" Text

I have a form working except upon submitting the message text "form received" is partially hidden under the captcha entry box and is a different color than all the other text on the page. I can't find any way to select, move and format that text in muse... Is there something I am missing?

Select the form in Design mode and switch between States within the States panel or the Control bar. You can edit that text for all three states other than the Normal state of course.

Drop down lists are active in form received by email

Hello,
I have a form with drop down lists and the form is set so that when the user submits it, the PDF form is sent, not the XML file. The problem is that when I receive the PDF form, the drop down lists are active and I can change the items in the list. Is there a way to disable this so that when the PDF form is received no changes to the form can be made?

I think you need to have a flag in a hidden field that indicates that the form has been submitted. You could set that flag on the form's pre-submit event. On the form's initialize event, check the flag. If it's been set (i.e. the form has been submitted before), programatically lock down the form. Emailed form received blank

Our clients are filling out a form with an email button and also a save button when they need to access our services. When they save the form, it is saved in their local drive with all the data they entered. When they email the form to our service desk email mail box, the form is received blank. Why is this happening? We have been using the same form for 3 months without any problems up until a few days ago.

2. Yes, Extended Reader Rights was applied on the form.
3. The form was revised in July and is posted on our internal web page for users to access.

Acrobat Forms - receiving Images embedded in Distributed Forms

Hi, I've been using the Acrobat forms through Live Cycle for a while now for small simple projects, but trying to implement it now in something a bit more complex (as well as learning more as I go).
I've made a form in LiveCycle ES2 requesting Text, Radio Buttons ...
...BUT also that the respondee can send their company logo with the form. To make it simpler than just attaching the logo seperately in an Email.
I've found the Image Field Object which allows the respondee to upload their Logo into the PDF which then gets mailed back to me.
What I haven't seen is a way to extract this logo to a databank or similar.
The text I can collect, sort through, and export as CSV or XML which is great, but other than the logos being embedded in the returned PDF, they don't seem to be accessible anywhere.
I've probably overlooked it somewhere. (I hope). Can someone assist?
(I'm also not certain what the difference between creating forms in LiveCycle and straight through Acrobat is, but I'll ask that in another question).

Since your question is specific to Designer, ask in the LiveCycle forum. Be aware that adding pictures is a rather new process and may not work for folks with older versions of Acrobat or Reader (don't remember how far back this goes).

Submit Form / Receive 'Thank You' Page

I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to resolve this situation.
The Situation: We have pre-recorded webinar files that we offer to our members on our web site. We want people to fill out a form with their contact info BEFORE viewing the webinar so that we have a list of who is viewing our webinar files.
I created a form in Acrobat 8 Professional. When the person clicks the Submit button, an email is sent with a fdf attachement that includes the contact info they typed in the fields. This part works great.
The problem is that AFTER they submit the email, I want to direct them to a "thank you" page which would contain a link to the webinar. I don't want them to access the "thank you" page until the email has been submitted.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could do this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Problems receiving fillable forms back

For participating in a summer sportsevent I made a fillable form in Acrobat Pro and exported this form as a Reader enabled form. This was send tot members to fill in their needs.
Untill now about 50% of the fillable PDF forms had difficulties in sending back. The most common mistake was receiving the form as a blank form.
Some forms I received as a scanned form, textmessage, as mentioned before as a blank form etc..
What might have caused this. Can users only use Acrobat (reader) to fill the form?
Do they first have to save the form to their harddisk > fill it in en then send back?
Doesn't it work properly with mobile phones, tablets or non-acrobat PDF readers?
In that case the next time I have to give clear instructions how to use and send this form back.

I have created fillable forms in the past and submitted them with NO issues, however last week 95% of the persons completing the form received the following error message when they tried to submit.

Why won't the responses file open when I receive a submitted form

Hi all, We have recently started to use Acrobat Pro X for editable pdfs. When training was done (all work contained was created on our server) the responses file opened as it should when a submitted form was received. Now trying to use these forms "live" the response file doesn't open. The wording to double click the file and select the response file is in the body of the email of the submitted form but instead of the response file opening the form opens. Anyone have any ideas??

It does seem to be happening to all forms received. We are using Adobe Acrobat X Pro to create the editable pdfs.
When you ask "being used to save the forms?" do you mean from the person submitting the form back to me? If that is the case then Acrobat X also.

Can you have multiple contact forms in a single Muse site?

I have a site created in Muse that needs to use multiple contact forms of a sort. One is a simple contact form. Two others are sign up forms. In two of the three forms I have to separate the First and Last names. Also in those there are multiple Custom fields and Message fields.
The original simple contact form is working fine and has been. However, I modified one of the pages by adding a second form, the first of the two sign-up forms. It looked great in Muse, but when uploaded to the site, all of the fields were gone, leaving only the Labels in a single paragraph.
Does this mean I can't have multiple contact forms in a single site? If I actually, can, then what might have caused the problem? And what could you suggest for me to try to fix it?

Thank you for the information, but I cannot find anywhere in help where to find the field names (if that is my problem). I changed all the labels and the corresponding text inside the field (remember, Muse does not give access to code as far as I can tell). When I preview the page in a browser (using FireFox as default, but also tried with IE), everything looks good. When I export to html and open the index.html on my computer, everything still looks great. But when I FTP the page to the website, this is what I get:

CRM APPLICATION error when trying to access forms

Is it possible to add a "Thank you for your submission" using Adobe Muse Forms

Instead of the form resetting I was wondering if it were possible for a message to appear.
Sometimes the words Form Received appear next to the Submit button, can this be edited?

Hi Penny,
You have a couple options:
1 - You can indeed edit the text that appears next to the button using the states panel and then just edit the text.
2 - If you need to add more info that such as going to a full thank you page with perhaps a download or some other information; you can select another page to be redirected to after submitting in the form properties panel.

How to avoid Duplicate values in Oracle forms

Hello Everyone,
I am new to Oracle forms, working on Oracle Applications : 12.1.2,
Here I have a form Receiving Transactions,
in that I have Lot_Number and quantity columns.
The purchased items need to be stored in Lot number.
If 100 quantities purchased then 100 quantities can be stored in single lot number
i.e
Lot_Number         Qty
001                100or 100 quantities can be stored in different lot numbers.
i.e
Lot_Number         Qty
001                50
002                50(The qty may differ)but not like the following,
Lot_Number          Qty
001                 50
001                 50.For second line,If they selected same lot number as First lot number,
The error message has to be shown as "Lot number duplicated,Select Different Lot number or update the full qty in original line".
Can anyone help me to solve this.

end loop;Its started to check from First record itself and giving the message 'Duplicate',
How to check from second record?
when the first record is entered it should not check when the second record is entered it should compare with the First record value and if it is same then it should give message as 'Duplicate'.

Adobe Form field display based on user

Dear Friends
 I am creating one form. which has the three fields :
 1) Telephone:
 2) Email:
 3) Portal Id:
 My work scenario is when form reaches via workflow to Telefone person he / she only can enter data in the telephone field where he / she cant enter data in email and portal id field and this for all the fields like email guy has access to enter data only in email and portal will be for portal id, except concern person's field all other fields become read only.
I have design the form and successfully trigger it via UWL as well. but all the field are allow to enter data as i dont know how to controll them. I have the role in my bsp's controller do_init method but dont know how to utilize this info to set as read-only for non concern users.
Is ther any way to achieve this please tell me how I can achieve this functionality. your any help will be appreciated.
