Form9i open word and print direct to printer

I upgraded developer forms 6i to 9i and found problem in case of print direct to printer.
The report was not create from develop reports but it create from Microsoft Word.
I generate this report via developer forms call function to generate microsoft word and print it directly not preview but I found the problem when I printed it directly to printer. It didn't have any response from printer although I set up printer at printer server machine already.
I try to test other printers and do the same but the problem still occur.
My platform for testing shown as follow :
ORACLE DBMS 9i
Develop Form 9i
Microsoft Word 97, XP
Windows 98, XP
Thank you for your suggestion.

  • CS5 Extremely Slow to Open, Save and Print

We have recently installed InDesign CS5.  We are experiencing extreme slowness when open, saving and printing documents.  We have installed on Windows XP Service Pack 3.  I have upgrade to 7.0.3 to no avail.  Has anyone else experienced this?  If so, were you able to resolve it?

I can create and save new CS5 files fine both to the desktop and the network.  I tried copying our existing files to the desktop to see if there was a network issue.  It is also extremely slow to open from the desktop.  I'm beginning to wonder if it is our documents.  They were created in CS3.  I tested one that was 2 pages of text with a few graphics.  It took a considerable amout of time to open.  I made some edits to it and saved it to the desktop.  I would have thought that saving it in the new CS5 format would have improved the slowness.  It did not.
I was on a support call with Adobe yesterday for 2 1/2 hours.  To say it was extremely frustrating is an understatement.  They have asked me to re-download the install, uninstall and reinstall.  I did not re-download, but did uninstall and reinstall from the EXE we have.  Slowness is still an issue.  I'm inquiring regarding our antivirus, however, I don't think that is the issue.  We were able to open files in CS3 just fine.  It seems to be since the upgrade to CS5 that we are having issues.
Whenever you contact anybody's tech support:
    * Get the name of the tech, and any other identifying info
    * Get a case number
    * Explain your question/problem briefly; begin by saying, "I'm going to explain my problem briefly. Before we spend lots of time on it, I'll ask you if you have expertise in this particular area. I don't mean to be rude, but if you don't have sufficient expertise here, we'll both waste our time. If this isn't OK with you, I understand; we all have strong and less-strong areas. If you don't have the expertise, please give me the name of someone who has the the greatest amount of the expertise needed to solve the problem, and then transfer me to that person. If you can't do this, please give me your supervisor or manager's name, and transfer me to that person. Would you like me to state my problem briefly, now, so that we can go ahead?"
    * If you have the slightest inkling that you're being told to do wasteful things like re-download, uninstall and reinstall, ask the tech, "Is this a known fix for my problem? If it's not, why are you asking me to do this?" (Some techs suggest these steps to get you off the line and move on to another call, either because their call clearance rate is slipping, and that's how many are paid. Others suggest them because they don't have the expertise to solve the problem.)
    * If you're transferred to a manager or supervisor, summarize why you asked for him or her. Then, ask the manager to transfer you to the highest-skilled person for the problem you'll now explain briefly. If the manager/supervisor balks, ask for the highest-level person in the department, or the division. IOW, ESCALATE (use that word, when asking to change people.)
It's not the customer's job to teach customer service folks to serve customers, but we're the best ones to teach them now NOT to do it.
Now, if you don't have the expertise to do these things, please give me the name of your superior, so I can escalate this matter, and then connect me to that person!
    Seriously,

Microsoft Office 2004 (Word) unable to save files
I have been running Office 2004 on my Intel iMac with Snow Leopard for some time and all of a sudden I cannot save a document. Word just stopped responding and I have to force quit. I can open Word and create a new document but I cannot save it. I reinstalled Word but that didn’t help. Then went to the Internet and found at least one other Mac user having the same problem which it suggests is caused by a recent Mac Security Update:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoffice2004-macword/word-2004-wil l-not-open-or-save-documents/b04eb870-9b0d-4f3b-bb47-b122301e36f6
So I check for a new Mac Security Update and sure enough there was one. I downloaded it and now Word seems to be working, as it should. I can both open and save files. The only problem remaining is that when I open Word I get the following error message “An unexpected error occurred while trying to load the Microsoft Framework library”. I contacted Apple but they were unable to help.
How can I get rid of this error message?

Look, I realize you might have to get your machine working, so this is how you revert back.
    Restore proceedure to pre-Security Update 2012-001 v 1.0 & v 1.1
#1 Backup your personal data off the machine.
Backup files off the computer (not to TimeMachine). If you don't have a external drive, get one and connect to the USB/Firewire port and simply drag and drop copy your User folder to the external drive, it will copy all your files. It's best to have two backups of your data off the machine when trying to restore.
Disconnect all drives now to prevent any mistakes from occuring.
    #2 Reinstall OS X 10.6 from disk
Get out your 10.6 install disk and make sure it's clean and polished (very soft cloth and a bit of rubbing alcohol, no scratches) If your disk is borked, you'll have to order a new one from Apple with your serial number.
Hold c boot off the 10.6 disk (wired keyboard, internal optical drive), use Disk Utility First Aid to >Repair Disk  of your internal drive  (do not format or erase!!), Quit DU and simply re-install 10.6.
Note: Simply reinstalling 10.6 version from disk (without erasing the drive) only replaces 10.6.8 with 10.6.x and bundled Apple programs, won't touch your files (backup anyway)  or most programs, unless they installed a kext file into OS X itself. (only a few on average do this)
    #3 Update to 10.6.8 without Security Update 2012-001 v1.0 or v1.1
Reboot and log in, update to 10.6.8 via Software Update, but EXCLUDE THE Security Update 2012-001 by checkinig the details and unchecking the blue check box.
#4 Reinstall any non-working third party programs
When you reboot, make sure to reinstall any programs that require kext files installed into OS X, you'll know, they won't work when you launch them or hang for some reason as they are missing the part they installed into OS X.
If for some freakish reason you get gray screen at any time when booting (possible it might occur when you reinstall older programs), hold the shift key down while booting (Safe Mode, disables kext files) and update your installed third party software so it's compatible with 10.6.8.

    That's it really.

Hi, I just tried to open Word and this message appeared - 'You can't open the application Microsoft Word because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.' I just recently loaded OS X Lion does this mean my software for MS Office is now out of date?  Do I have to purchase a new package? Any help appreciated.

    Hello:
Office 2004 was written for the PowerPC chip only.  There is no emulation in OS X 10.7.
I encountered the same issue sometime ago when I updated to OS X 10.7.
There is one option that I might mention (other than buy Office 2011).  I switched to Apple's iWork.  Pages (the word processing package) is completely compatible with Word.  If you export Pages documents, you can export them in formats compatible with Microsoft programs.  iWork also contains programs that are compatible with Office presentation and spreadsheet packages.
The reason I mention this is that the cost is about 1/2 of the cost of Office.

  • After update to 10.1.3 the menus can't open normally and printing is not possibe

    Hello,
Does anyone recognise this problem and can help me ?
After the update to 10.1.3 I the menus open fuzzy. So I can still read the pdf , but when I push the print button, the printscreen gets fuzzy and I cant continue.
This also happens when I try to read other menus like preferences etc.
I can still open and read pdf files normally and printing from other programs like word f.e. is still possible.
I downloaded the update again, but this didn't help. Then I tried to delete with the cleaner and do a full installation, but I still have the same problem.
Can anybody help me please ?
    Greetz

OK.... what I've tried so far is creating an archive..... That worked but no import.....
I also tried Russ' suggestion of using the card reader. Interestingly I was able to import.
Now I plug in the card and it's importing fine as I write this.
I don't know what the deal is but it's working after I tried the card reader.
    For now.
    Thanks for the suggestions.

  • Bridge cs4 can not open raw and jpg directly by itself

i never did it! i want to open raw and jpg files by camera raw directly with open photoshop. i have made the choose to open by double click in the preference but still can not do.
my brother's computer can open both of them and we are similar xp system.
and i have checked and reinstalled many times and still failed.

A bit of magic (if I'd remember):
    1. open PS, from here File > Browse in Bridge
    2. open any RAW/DNG - it goes to PS
    3. switch to Bridge window (PS still open)
    4. R-click, select "open in Camera RAW"
    5. Close all
Now opening in Bridge should work :)

  • Outlook 2013 won't open Word and Excel attachments

Had a new PC set up with MS Office 2013 programs.  Outlook 2013 Word and Excel attachments do not open.  Program opens, but to a blank screen.  This includes my attachments created on the same computer.  Boxes in "Trust Center"
are unchecked.  Problem persists.  It is possible to save the attachment, then open Word or Excel and see the saved file, but this is time consuming and annoying.  Outlook 2013 should just open its attachments from the message without a thousand
    extra steps.  Thank you.

    Hi Gish,
    Thank you for your question.
Did this issue occur in OWA?
We could open outlook->File->option->Trust Center ->Microsoft Outlook Trust Center->Trust Center Setting->Attachment Handing->Attachment and Document Preview…
Then we make sure all option have check. And didn’t uncheck “Turn off Attachment Preview”, or rebuild the profile to check if the issue persist.
If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.
    Best Regard,
    Jim

  • Cannot open properties and printer randomly prints mirror for what appears to be no reason

First I couldn't get a pdf to print.... So I check with Adobe and they say get latest drivers.
So... I go to HP and get this big file to reinstall the whole printer.
I uninstall and reinstall.  The fax part won't install but I don't use it so who cares.  (It never did work right)
Now it prints the pdf BUT  it randomly prints them mirror image - white letters on black background.
I can't access the properties to check it because when I click on the properties button it doesn't open.
If I print the page a second time it will print correctly.
I'm running Windows 7 and this is a problem that started about 2 days ago.  I've been really busy and wasted hours on this already.  If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
I found someone else who couldn't open properties but there was no solution.
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled so ....

    Hey @pb-29,
Thanks for getting back to me regarding this issue.
At this time I recommend continuing the support that you have already started with my colleague @Gemini02  under the following thread: Mirror printing - docs no good - wasting toner- printer becoming worthless.

  • Shell Script - Need to Open terminal and Print output?

    Hi All,
I have a script to update a git version of a software, but I would like to be able to check the output of the script in a terminal.
So in a nut shell, I want when launching the script:
    - Terminal to Open
    - All command to be executed in the terminal
    - Terminal to close only if no error (do not know if it's possible?)
See below my very simple script:
Many thanks in advance for your time and advice,
    rm -r /home/sweetth/banshee &&
    cd /home/sweetth &&
    git clone git://git.gnome.org/banshee &&
    cd /home/sweetth/banshee &&
    ./autogen.sh &&
    make

    Right,  I manage it differently

  • Why does Pages ask me to save changes when I only open a file and print it?

I have documents that I open regularly but only want to print (and not make changes to).  But, even if I open them and do nothing other than print them, Pages prompts me to save changes when I close the file.  Why is this?
If I've had the document open for a while, I'm always concerned that maybe I've made changes that I want to save and forgotten.

But it always, always, always ignores it, fruhulda. That's what I'm saying. A brand new document on a brand new computer with a fresh install of iwork, and the same thing happens. Every time I open it and print--Do you want to Save? Do you want to Save?
For instance, I have a contract form I use regularly and I get that every.single.time even though I always use the same printer, and have hardly ever used the printer that pages has chosen as my default printer (a medium format inkjet with archival ink that costs far too much to use for things like correspondence). It is not my default printer in OS X, incidentally. No matter how many times I tell Pages to save the information about the printer, it will not. And I also get the same nag on the rare occasions when I do use the printer that pages has chosen (usually by mistake because I forgot to change it in the print dialog).
Perhaps this is a localization-specific bug and that's why you don't see it.
EDIT And most oddly, it happens just the same in lion with the current version of pages, which I would have thought should have autosaved that change without asking me about it.
