I have lost my Blackberry instrument today. I was able to make my sim inoperative by requesting service-provider Vodafone. My phone contains very imp data which should not fall into wrong hands. I had noted down the IMEI number of my instrument. Now, how do I get the phone inoperative using the EMEI number ? Who should I be approaching for this ? Will Blackberry do this for me ? Kindly help. I am distressed.

Given how important the data on your BB is, we can only hope that you were using a device lock password, for that will ensure that your data is indeed protected. If you did not use that, well...what can I say...good security capabilities can be provided, but it requires that the human actually use them in order to be effective.

My Q10 got Pin blocked by Blackberry !
Hello gúys,
First post here.
Last week my friend got a Q10 from local seller (we are in Vietnam) for around $750. After using it for 3 days, the Q10 got blocked by Blackberry. He got no access to the phone and the screen only showed a message: Device Pin Blocked.
He still can make and take some phone calls, but nothing rather than that. Any one got this issue yet? and any solutions available ? Your information will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

If the PIN is blocked you will be able to send and receive SMS messages and make phone calls but there will be no data access.
For more information on why it was blocked, please contact your network service provider.

Since Monday I was blocked by BlackBerry after doing a transaction with a thirdparty Application (Total Conquest from Gameloft) - I can do transactions on my Q10 with the same card details and it is only on the Z10 that I am block to do transactions.
I did not receive an email from Blackberry that my account was suspended (such as with my bank account). Please unblock my account

GeorgeNobody here can do anything with your account. You'll have to contact your wireless service provider, and if necessary, have them escalate your case to BlackBerry.
That said, I'm not aware that BlackBerry blocks any transactions with anyone. It is likely your service provider.

There is nothing obviously wrong with your code from looking at it.
You don't need the if statement
if set_tick_symbol%FOUND thenbecause the preceding EXIT WHEN line will leave the loop if no data was found in the fetch.
If your query is "hanging" then you should run up enterprise manager and look in there to see if there any blocking statements or other reasons why your code is slow or stuck. -

It’s a scenario no one wants to encounter but here’s a quick overview how you can help locate your BlackBerry 10 smartphone using BlackBerry Protect if you can’t find it.

Step 1 – Enable BlackBerry Protect and turn on Location Services
To locate your smartphone you must enable BlackBerry Protect and turn on Location Services.
After you turn on Location Services, your smartphone only sends its location information when you request it through the BlackBerry Protect website, or when your battery power is low.
Swipe down from the top of the screen
Tap Settings > BlackBerry Protect
Set the BlackBerry Protect switch to On
Tap Location Services
Set the Location Services switch to On
Tap Back to save your change
Step 2 – Log in to the BlackBerry Protect website
After you enable BlackBerry Protect and turn on Location Services, complete the following steps to view the location of your smartphone on a map.
Log in to the BlackBerry Protect website located at http://protect.blackberry.com
Click View Location
BlackBerry Protect will attempt to locate your smartphone
If your smartphone can be located, a map appears similar to the following showing the approximate location:
If you still can’t find your smartphone at the reported location, use the Play Sound option within the BlackBerry Protect website. This option makes your smartphone ring loudly for one minute as well as activating the Loud profile.

BSOD followed by a lost of 12gb HDD space
Hello,
I've encountered BSOD saying "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". Soon after restarting, I've noticed that I have a lost of 12GB hdd space.
This is not the first time. Last week I have another BSOD, which was related to my nvidia driver, and soon after restarting I had a lost of 10GB hdd space.
I did some research online and someone suggested that it might be due to the size of the dump file. I've check the dump file and it is only a mere 292KB!
Could anyone please let me know how to recover the 12GB lost of hdd space as well as solving the "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" problem?

Please run these tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.
If you are overclocking (pushing the components beyond their design) you should revert to default at least until the crashing is solved.
If you don't know what it is you probably are not overclocking.

Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:
Click Start Menu
Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
Expand Custom Views
Click Administrative Events
Right click Administrative Events
Save all Events in Custom View As...
Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
Upload the .zip file to skydrive or a file sharing service and put a link to it in your next post
If you have updated to win 8.1 and you get the error message "the system cannot find the file specified" it is a known problem.
The work around is to edit the registry. If you are not comfortable doing this DONT. If you are, backup the key before you do
Press Win+"R" and input regedit
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WINEVT\Channels. Delete "Microsoft-Windows-DxpTaskRingtone/Analytic"

After aprox 9 months working fine the phone suddenly lost its PIN, only shows up a 2 on the status screen. The internet and blackberry services by the wireless service provider are not anymore available (the services are active), the EDGE status is not in capital letters.
Can this be corrected to the original PIN number ?
Or is the phone just damaged ?
Thanks for any helpI have not heard of this. I've heard of the pin going to FFFFFFFF but never just to a 2. Have you tried removing the battery to reboot the device? If so, then I'm guessing the device is defective or has been disabled for some reason. Did you purchase the device new? If so, it should be covered under warranty if it's only 9 months old.
