Format a graph series riser as a picture.

I am attempting to format a series rise as a picture.  Selecting Format Series Rise, selecting Picture, selecting a Picture to use (in which the example window shows how it will look) then clicking ok.  This fails to set the riser to the picture.  The series is plotted as a split x-axis item but the main x-axis items can not be set to pictures either.  Any one else experience difficulty in doing this?  Thanks in advance.  Using XI R2.

Wow, there's no plug-in to shorten this process? As a iMovie user, I often create a montage of still frames at the end of projects. Having to go to File>Export>Using QuickTime Conversion, etc. is a lot slower process than in iMovie to create still frames. I tried using AppleScript and Automator to automate the process, but couldn't figure it out.

  • Conditional format in graphs

    I'm using BI EE 10.3.1.2 and tested the new feature of conditionally formating a graph.
    Works fine. However, if I drill down in that graph , conditional format get lost, all other formats remain.
    Is this a bug or a feature?
    /Mike

    Mike, Did you test it with a table. Is the conditional format condition still valid at the level you drill down to ?

  • New BB Z30 Freezing, Docs are unable to Open, microSD card automatically formatted after restart, unable to open Some Pictures, Long time for Charging

    I purchased a new BlackBerry Z30 recently from http://store.shopblackberry.com/store/bbrryus/en_US/pd/productID.298806900/categoryID.66826600/paren... and my Phone Model number is STL 100-5. I also purchased a Z30 Leather flip case manufactured by BlackBerry. I am using my BlackBerry Z30 along with the Z30 Leather flip case.
    1) Within the first 2 weeks of receiving and using the new BB Z30 device, I noticed a problem of screen not responding some times. My phone has been freezed at the lock screen. My phone is not responding to any key except for the power button. So, I had an option of only restart/Turn Off my BlackBerry Z30 device. All the time whenever I had this problem, I have to restart my device in order to make it work properly again. I complained about this issue with BlackBerry Technical Support. They assisted me to reset the device to factory settings by taking a full backup. After reset also, I still had the same issue.
    2) I am using Sandisk Extreme microSD card of 32GB with my BB Z30 device. Some times due to the restart option, all the data which I had on my microSD card is being erased and is filled with an unknown files.
    3) I'm also unable to open some pictures which I have taken using BlackBerry Z30. As I observed, most of the pictures which I taken using Blackberry Z30 are unable to be open/view them after a few days. Still, I am able to observe the properties of those pictures. They are in JPEG format only.
    4)Also If I create a Word Document on BlackBerry Z30 using Docs to Go Application and saved it. After closing that particular document and If I try to open it, the document file is not opening and projecting me an error of "This is not a valid .Doc file", but while I check the properties of that particular document it is in .doc format. I tried to transfer the file to my laptop using bluetooth. After a few seconds (approx 2-3 seconds) automatically the transferring is cancelled by the BlackBerry Z30 device. However, I tried to transfer the file within that short time using Bluetooth. While I tried to open it on my laptop using Microsoft Office 2013, the file is displaying with a squares of upto 4 pages while I had a content in it of 3 lines only. While I opened my file using Microsoft Office 2013, there is only squares available in that document.
    5)  My new BlackBerry Z30 is taking a long time of approximately 6-7 hours to charge the device from 10% to 100%
    I request someone to help me with this issues. I would like to thank everyone who can help me with these issues in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    On 7th of Jan 2015 I made my device to factory reset. Also I removed microSD card from my device. As I observed for these 3 days, one time while I received a missed call, I tried to have a look at it. I observed that my screen has been freeze at the receiving call position and its not responding. I tried to close and reopened the display of my device with a flip case which I'm currently using for my device. At this time, after 3-4 swipes to unlock the device, again its back into working condition.
    About Documents, I'm able to create, save and open the documents without any issues till now.
    About Pictures, they are also working fine without any issues.
    I also observed the charging time as approximately 3 hours for charging the device from 14% to 100%.

  • Mouse Over Format Control for Series

    I have a combination chart and would like to display the column portion with no digits after the decimal.  I would like to display the line portion with 1 digit after the decimal.
    Will Xcelsius allow individual formatting of series or only global formatting for a Mouse Over?

    If you want to do individual formatting of Mouse Over effect with combination charts, you should select the format in Excel and choose Mouse-Over format "General" in Xcelsius.
    Keep in mind, to select the "General" format in Xcelsius first, then format your Excel-Data and rebind the chart-component after formatting in Excel.

  • Help with formatting a Graph in Numbers on ipad

    I have created a spreadsheet to track the overall percentages of our kids basketball team free throws for the coaches.
    I then have it on a graph but the colunms are super close to each other (attached picture).
    I have tried to get it to spread them out evenly but no luck, does anyone know how to make the columns spread out?

    Jamie,
    As with all the iWork apps, the Inspector is where most of the settings are chosen. You can read all about this feature in the Numbers User Guide, a free download from the Help menu.
    In Numbers there are 10 major Inspector tabs some of them has sub-tabs. Here's a screen shot of the Chart Inspector with the tab circled.
    You are expected to click on the tab icon to switch Inspector contexts.
    If there is no Inspector showing on your screen, use the View Menu to add one.

  • Date format in graphs

    I have a Numbers spreadsheet that I use on both my MacBook and iPad.
    The date on the X-axis appears in a numerical format on the iPad bit displays correctly on the PC.
    I am using Numbers '09 and all products are up to date as of today 18/08/2013.
    The chart is a scatter or XY GRAPH. I have Area charts that display the date correctly, so this appears to be peculiar to the scatter plot.
    Does anyone have a similar experience or a solution?

    Hi Albert,
    Possible reason may be that Numbers for iOS supports only category charts. Only a guess though.
    I've requested your question be transferred to the iWork for iOS comunity, where you'll more likely find a definitive solution.

  • Drill Through Report Parameters from Graph Series Action

    Hi
    Using ReportBuilder 3
    I need some help please on passing parameters to a Drill Through Report, when a user clicks on a bubble in a graph.
    In context, I have a Tooltip that provides a count of the sysid field, which on mouse over gives the user the correct aggregate for the bubble they are looking at.
    [Count(sys_id)]
    So say I have a bubble that I am hovering over, showing a count of two sysid's, when I click the bubble I want to run a Drill Through report that uses sysid as a parameter.  Therefore I want to pass through the two sysid's that the aggregate has identified.
    Now if I go to the action tab and select 'Go to report', select my report and add a Parameter, I need an expression that retrieves the sysid's for the parameters.
    At the moment I am using the following expression:
    =Split(Join(LookupSet(1,1,Fields!sys_id.Value,"ProjectMaster"),","),",")
    This provides the correct string format for the multi value parameter that I have on my report.  The problem is, it passes all the sysid's actively displayed on the entire graph and not just the two that the aggregate has identified in the Tooltip.
    Question - Is there a way of building the expression to lookup the two sisid's relevant to the bubble I am interested in, rather than the dataset for the whole graph?
    Many Thank
    Andy

    Hi Tim
    The report has two parameters Based on Group Type and then Sub Group Type.
    The expression I am using for the drill through parameters is =Split(Join(Fields!sys_id.Value,","),",")
    Below is a subset of the dataset with relevant fields and sample values.
    Group   Type
    Group   Subtype
    sys id
    Total Workload
    External   Cost

  • Conditionally formatting a graph in ADF

    Hi,
    We've developped an ADF application in which tasks are assigned to users. Each task has a due date and depending on the proximity of this due date the color of the task changes from green over orange to red. Now, what we are trying to do is showing the number of tasks in a chart (preferrably a pie chart) grouped by color. And of course, the colors of the slices/bars need to match the color of the task (so the number of green tasks will be a green slice, ...).
    We've tried to add the following seriesSet to the graph
    <dvt:seriesSet>
    <dvt:series color="#63a500" index="1"/> <!-- green -->
    <dvt:series color="#ff8400" index="2"/> <!-- orange -->
    <dvt:series color="#e70000" index="3"/> <!-- red -->
    </dvt:seriesSet>
    and this works fine untill not all colors are present. For example, if there would be no orange tasks, the red tasks become the second series and will be shown in orange.
    A possible solution would be to use the styleRuleBundle attribute of the <dvt:graph> tag but it seems like we can only add rules that compare to the values (= number of tasks) and not to the group/slice name (= color of the task).
    // Set color to YELLOW if value < 5
    rule = new DiscriminatorRule();
    rule.setDiscriminator(new NumberValueDiscriminator(5.0, ValueDiscriminator.LT));
    gs = new GraphStyle();
    gs.setFillColor(Color.yellow);
    rule.setFixedMergeable(gs);
    bundle.addRule(rule);
    Any ideas of how we can add rules that compare the group/slice name with a specified string ? We have tried the following but it doesn't seem to work:
    // Set color to GREEN if value is 'G'
    rule = new DiscriminatorRule();
    rule.setDiscriminator(new StringValueDiscriminator("G", StringValueDiscriminator.EQ));
    gs = new GraphStyle();
    gs.setFillColor(Color.GREEN);
    rule.setFixedMergeable(gs);
    bundle.addRule(rule);
    Thanks in advance for any help!

    ok, we've managed to determine the color of the bars in a bar chart using a QDRDiscriminator like this:
    rule = new DiscriminatorRule();
    colorQDR = new QDR("DataLayer");
    colorQDR.addDimMemberPair("Processcolor", new QDRMember(QDRMember.FIXED, "G"));
    rule.setDiscriminator(new QDRDiscriminator(colorQDR, QDRDiscriminator.SUPERSET));
    gs = new GraphStyle();
    gs.setFillColor(new Color(99, 165, 0));
    rule.setFixedMergeable(gs);
    bundle.addRule(rule);
    Too bad you loose all fancy gradients when using this technique. Doesn't work on a pie chart either :-( , although it does work on the legend of the pie chart :-S
    Other ideas or improvements are still welcome.

  • Complex number formats in graphs

    Hi,
    At the moment I try to figure out, if the following is possible or not at all.
    I have a numeric object which holds a number of seconds. For each day (date) there is such an object.
    So, I just want to create a graph showing the days (x-axis) and the respective seconds (y-axis). So far, no problem at all.
    But, for readability it is necessary to show the seconds in a more suitable way - namely as minutes and seconds [mm:ss].
    Now, I could easily transform the seconds (number) into something like 'mm:ss' using an additional variable - which must be text then. Such text cannot be used as values for the y-axis.
    So, I tried to create a user defined format for the output in the graph, but I couldn't find any way to define such a complex format which allows me to show mm:ss as values for the x-axis.
    Just an example graph...
    01:00-|----
    00:50-|----
    00:40-|---||-----
              01.01.2010  02.01.2010
    Does anybody know, if or how this idea could be implemented through any means of the Webi and/or Designer? Simply displaying seconds is not accepted by the management.
    Many thanks for any hint
    Matthias

    Hi,
    You have to create measure to convert time diff in sec to HH:MM:SS format.
    Measure1 = Time diff in seconds
    Hours = Measure1/ 3600
    Minutes = (Measure1 - hour*3600) / 60
    Seconds = (Measure1 - hour3600 - Minutes60)
    Concatinate all three measure created above and you will have the measure you wanted.
    Hope this will help you.
    Cheers,
    Ravichandra K

  • ADF Bar Graph Series Rollover Hint :  show 3.000 and what I want is 3.

    I've got an ADF bar chart(JDeveloper 11.1.2.1.0), which it always show 3.000 and what I want is 3.
    My bar code as followed:
    <dvt:barGraph id="graph2" value="#{bindings.EmployeeVO2.graphModel}"
    subType="BAR_VERT_CLUST" animationOnDisplay="auto" threeDEffect="true"
    seriesRolloverBehavior="RB_HIGHLIGHT" partialTriggers="::graph1"
    dynamicResize="DYNAMIC_SIZE" inlineStyle="vertical-align:baseline;">
    <dvt:background>
    <dvt:specialEffects/>
    </dvt:background>
    <dvt:graphPlotArea/>
    <dvt:seriesSet>
    <dvt:series/>
    </dvt:seriesSet>
    <dvt:o1Axis/>
    <dvt:y1Axis/>
    <dvt:legendArea automaticPlacement="AP_NEVER"/>
    <dvt:y1TickLabel scaling="none" autoPrecision="off"/>
    <dvt:markerText>
    <dvt:stockVolumeFormat scaling="none" autoPrecision="off">
    <af:convertNumber type="currency"/>
    </dvt:stockVolumeFormat>
    <dvt:x1Format scaling="none" autoPrecision="off">
    <af:convertNumber type="currency"/>
    </dvt:x1Format>
    <dvt:y1Format scaling="none" autoPrecision="off">
    <af:convertNumber maxIntegerDigits="5" minFractionDigits="0"
    maxFractionDigits="0" minIntegerDigits="1"/>
    </dvt:y1Format>
    <dvt:zFormat scaling="none" autoPrecision="off">
    <af:convertNumber/>
    </dvt:zFormat>
    </dvt:markerText>
    </dvt:barGraph>

    Thanks all. The pie chart is pretty right already; I've used the sliceLabel and numberFormat to produce something that's pretty close as mentioned earlier:
    <dvt:sliceLabel>
    <dvt:graphFont color="#ffffff"/>
    <dvt:numberFormat
    scaleFactor="SCALEFACTOR_NONE"
    numberType="#{AdminCaseload.chartOptionAmountTypeInt}"/>
    </dvt:sliceLabel>
    ... but by using the managed bean to set the numberType to NUMTYPE_CURRENCY when $$ are charted, the rollover hint now displays as I want with the $, but the LD_PERCENT (default) slice labels over the chart are now displaying as $20% which seems a bit crazy. How can I show the currency symbol against the value in the rollover hint, without it appearing alongside the LD_PERCENT slice label in the chart?
    On the bar charts, what I need to be able to do is find an sliceLabel equivalent tag location for the numberFormat. You'd think it would be the dvt:y1Axis, given that it doesn't want to let you insert a numberFormat inside either the seriesSet or series tags. How do we control formatting of the value rollover hints on a bar chart ?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Formats for graphs that can be use in Labview like jpg,bmp or etc.

    what kind of formats can be used?? anyone knows??

    The driver for the scope will return actual data you can graph and analyze. Since you did not include the important information of make and model of the scope, you'll have to find that on your own. Start at the Instrument Driver Network.

  • Graph series data

    How can you access a paritcular series' data in graph XML?
    I'm trying to create a graph with 2 y-axis but to do that I think I'll need to access the two series separately to do so. Currently I'm just using #DATA#.

    What data type is your key? The chronological key is required for the time series formulas (ago etc.).
    The time series chart requires a date or datetime data type to work - perhaps a new column with the first of the month/period would help? Regards,

  • P3005 format boards (q7847 series) different rev part numbers

    i'm trying to compile a complete list of part numbers for the lj p3005 format boards, right now i am only looking for the non network boards q7847 series, e.g q7847-61002 =rev.02.038.5; q7847-61003=rev. 02.039.3; q7847-61006=rev 02.041.0.
    I know there are revisions beyond this such as 02.080.4 as well as others, does anybody have a complete list of the part numbers for all the revisions?

    Dear [Maesus],
    I have tried to duplicate the issue, I saw it only once when I reflash the BIOS and then change the CPU clock setting.
    My procedure as below…
    1.      Boot system
    2.      Update BIOS to 1.9 version
    3.      Restart the system to BIOS setting
    4.      Change the CPU Bus Clock to 229
    5.      Save the setting & exit and then the system restart automatically
    6.      And then I saw the CPU is only running 1.86GHz (my CPU is 3.2GHZ FSB 800MHz)
    But I would like to explain that my procedure as above is incorrect.
    The correct procedure should be as below….
    1.      Boot system
    2.      Update BIOS to 1.9 version
    3.      Restart the system to BIOS setting
    4.      Load BIOS setup default first
    5.      Change the CPU Bus Clock to 229
    6.      Save the setting & exit and then the system restart automatically
    7.      And then I saw the CPU is running 3.66GHz (my CPU is 3.2GHZ FSB 800MHz)
    Note: To load BIOS setup default setting after reflash BIOS that is because all original default setting will be erase after upgrade BIOS. So we always recommend customers to load BIOS default setting first before change any BIOS setting.
    BTW, we have updated the BIOS version to support Prescott CPU. Users can decide to update it or not.
    The new release BIOS as attach file.
    Best regard!
