Format Changes In Chart Anlyzer Not Saved

I have created a vertical bar chart in CR v8.5 and have made several formatting changes using Chart Analyzer, changed the height of the graph, fonts, font rotation, etc. However after saving the changes and previewing the report most of the changes are lost. Furthermore those changes that did stick are limited to a single graph, the remaining graphs within the group retain the original settings.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem or is charting in CR v8.5 as flaky as it seems?

In case anyone else comes across this problem:
1) After making the changes right-click the chart in Analyzer and select "Apply changes to all charts"
2) Right-click the chart again and select "Save as template"

Hi,
I open a query in BEx Analyzer, change the chart into a donut, and save it as a workbook.
I close the workbook and open the workbook again.
The chart is back of the 'bar'type, the donut has disappeared.
How can I save the donut? or other layout
I'm on BI 7.0 SP 10; GUI 6.40 patch 23; BI add-in 14 patch 1

I had the same issue after a long time between uses (version updates). I finally figured out that their format does not allow any dashes or parenthesis, just country code and the sequence of numbers. For instance, I'm in the US, so my number resembled this format:
country code, area code, prefix, number normally looks like this:
+1(555)123-4567
or +1 555-123-4567
entered on skype as:
+15551234567
It would be really helpful if they did what other website and ux designers do by including a sample format either in filler text or an info box. but they don't. Anyway, hope that's helpful.

How InDesign comes to know about any changes on document, but not saved. As it shows * on the name of document when it is opened and any changes. And after saving * symbol is get removed from the name of document. How and where indesign@ handles this?

Are you just asking because you want to know, or do you have a problem you need to solve? I don't know how to write a program, but I think what your are describing is not an unusual thing for a program to do. The * tells you that changes have been made since the last save, and the program reserves a portion of memory for undo functions. I suppose a coder could tell you how it works, but I don't think it would help an average user to know, but that's just my opinion.

Sorry Photoshop -- Problems solved -- I read the details -- turns out you need to make changes with no files open for the preferences to apply to all files.

Conditional formatting in the chart does not work after 10g to 11g upgrade

W e have upgraded from 10g to 11.1.1.6.8 recently. For all the reports conditional formatting for charts is not working for us which used to work in 10g.
While researching , i have found that advanced xml needs to be modified. So i changed xml where there is 'untypedLiteral' to 'decimal' and saved the report. Inspite of saving , xml wouldnt change . It still shows as untypedLiteral.
I also tried to delete the conditional format and recreate again. But still it wouldn't work.
Please advise.

Why aren't my changes to a .pdf not saving?

I am running Acrobat Pro 9 for Mac (9.5.4). I received an unlocked, not signed .pdf brocure. I made some edits (rotating pages, inserting arrow and comments, etc), "save[d] As" giving it a new name, and closed the file. Later, I re-opened it, and none of the rotational changes I made had been saved, and a few of the aded/typed comments were either reformatted so as to be unreadable, or were otherwise misplaced. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

That worked. (Pretty counter-intuitive, don't you think? Would make more sense to allow you to "Save" after using the "Rotate" buttons to make the change permanent.) Thanks for the tip. Now, all I have to do is remember it!

Changes in LRmob are not saved to camera roll on ipad...

I just have been working on a batch of photographs on ipad and saved all the worked on images on my camera roll in ipad. When I opened my camera roll none of the changes had been saved, the photographs were the ones I had synced from desktop to ipad.
The changes have been saved on my desktop though.
Is it not possible to save the file with applied changes to camera roll for sharing with Instagram and Foap? If we can't save changes to camera roll I might as well stay with VSCO cam in ipad then...
A work around is of course that I can pluck them back off probably from the Adobe cloud, but that is another step added to my workflow.
I was hoping to use LRmob because the syncing is wonderful, and I start with LR for all my photographs.
My current workflow is to import pics in LR, then drag the ones I want for Foap and Instagram via iPhoto and shared stream to get them onto ipad or iphone. Import in vsco and from there send to instagram or Foap. I know, rather heavy workload.
I had hoped that LRmobile would have cut this load in half...
I wonder if it is possible to make the changes applied in LRmob savable in camera roll... Since LRmob has been designed for idevices, it does need a saving option on the device. Otherwise it's missing a major feature.
I must admit that the filters and processing are fab... My pics do look so smashing on ipad air.
I am very happy with LRmob apart from the question title...

Photoshop Elements 7 - format changes to temp file when saved

When I open a file in the edit screen (quick edit) and then edit the file -- when I close it (and agree to replace the current image), it closes as a temp file and I lose the jpg file? It does state that the image "Could not save as ..... because the file is already in use or was left open." Then I close it and the jpg is gone. Is there some setting I have to change? I just want to make changes and then save as the same file so I only have the new, edited image? I know I have done this before.
I am using Vista and Photoshop elements 7. I had elements 4 before and this never happened. In fact, I used my elements 7 before and it never happened.

Please explain more as if your new file is not created properly or it is not recognized as a supported file format. In later case you will see some unsupported file format icon when you save the file and check its file icon.
Also when you save the file, a jpeg settings dialog box comes up. Make sure you select appropriate settings.
If you find that its just the unsupported file, then try opening the file with File->open As and choose jpeg and see if its opening.
Also try open with after right click the image icon and browse and choose PSE as a default app for opening a file.

Changes on equipment are not saved at the backend (MAM30_031)

Hi,
if I change some equipment data e.g. street and city on the client, this changes are not done at the equipment in the backend. Status of MAM30_031 is I-Finished which holds the correct changed data inside. But if I now look into the equipment at the backend, there's still the old data. Changes done at the backend are synchronized fine to the client, but not the other way.
Any idea why this doesn't work?

Hi Florian,
here is what I would do:
1. Check in "O-Sent" in a sequence which is a response for the change in equipment what is the status of your change. There should be something like, "All top updated successfully...", or "Conflict...", or "BAPI return...". That will give you and idea what happens with your change.
2. If you "Successful"... message or no message - that is garanteed BAPI problem. You should open OSS message to SAP (component XAP-MBA-MAM).
Which version of MAM3.0 SR3 you are running? There is Patch02 which I know for sure has some fixes for technical object change fucntionality. (If you are on the lower version: reintsallation will be required, there are SynBo changes either in Patch01, or Patch02, don't remember exactly which).

I will change the settings to enable cookies but when i close the options window even though I hit ok the changes I make are not saved

I need to use an ebook online but whenever I try opening it nothing happens, I emailed their tech support and they said I needed to enable cookies. I followed the instructions on your website and when I hit ok and closed the options tab nothing changed, when I reopened it they had been reset to their previous standards, how do I fix this

Changes to button images not saved

I have dragged still images to some of the buttons on my scene menus, 'saving' each time.
Intermittently when reopening the project in iDVD the still images have been replaced by auto fill images from the movie clips associtated with the buttons.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a work-around?

I noticed now that if a project is amended in iMovieHD, subsequently iDVD will ask whether you want the update it in iDVD. If yes is selected, then it is necessary to go back and review/change the scene menu photos.

Read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data.
Quit iTunes if it’s running.
Step 1
Hold down the option key and select
          Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Move the following items from the Library folder to the Trash, if they exist:
          Application Support/SyncServices
          Caches/com.apple.iTunes
          Caches/QCCompositionRepository-com.apple.iTunes.cache
          Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService
          Saved Application State/com.apple.iTunes.savedState
Leave the Library folder open. Try iTunes again. If it works now, stop here. Close the Library folder.
Step 2
If you still have problems, quit iTunes again. Go back to the Finder and move the following item from the open Library folder to the Desktop:
          iTunes
Note: you are not moving the iTunes application. You’re moving a folder named “iTunes.” Test. If iTunes now works, delete the iTunes folder on the Desktop. Otherwise, quit iTunes again. Put back the folder you moved, overwriting the newer one that may have been created in its place, and continue.
Step 3
In the Preferences subfolder, there may be several files having names that begin with either of the following strings:
          com.apple.iTunes
          com.apple.mobile.iTunes
Move them all to the Desktop.
Also in the Preferences folder, there's a subfolder named "ByHost". Open it and do the same thing.
Test again. This time iTunes should perform normally, but your settings will be lost. You may be able to put back some of the files you moved to the Desktop in this step. Relaunch and test after each one. Eventually you should find one or more that causes iTunes to malfunction. Delete those files and recreate whatever settings they contained.
If the issue is still not resolved, quit iTunes again and put all the items you moved to the Desktop back where they were. You don’t need to replace the items you moved to the Trash. Stop here and post again.
If you later decide that you don’t like the results of steps 2 and 3, you can undo them completely by quitting iTunes and restoring the items you deleted in those steps from your backup.

Eclipse BPEl Designer -Changes to bpel.xml not saved

Is it possible to save changes made to bpel.xml file while using Eclipse? I was trying to set up preference properties in that file.

According to our experience, JDEV BPEL Designer encoutered the same problem, you'd better modify the bpel.xml descriptor using external editor such as ultraedit, and save it.
Modification of bpel.xml works fine for the first time, but often rolled back to the former edition once I restart the JDEV designer. Guess it is a bug.

Change to payment card not saved

I changed the credit card used to pay for my subscription on 20 July from Visa to Amex, but my subscription renewed on 23 July against the Visa. I have a £1 authorisation from "Ayden UK Ltd" showing on my Amex on 20 July so I know the details were accepted. I only noticed this today, so I've changed the payment card again this morning, and although the update appears to be successful (and I get another £1 authorisation on my Amex), when I go back to the Subscription page in my account the Visa details still show. Is there a problem with updating payment details at the moment?

When i make changers to my firefox settings and i close the browser, the changes are not saved, why?

when i make changes in the options menu like - allow pop ups or never remember history, it works great but when i close the browser, the changes i made are not saved, this never happened on the previous version
i have unistalled firefox4 and reinstalled it but this dows not help
