Format Excel  after Transporting Spool into excel

Hi,
I successfully transported Spool data into to excel and attached the excel into mail. I used RSPO_RETURN_ABAP_SPOOLJOB to get spool data and SO_RAW_TO_RTF  to convert to Excel formated data. Now i Need to colour one row in excel sheet. How do i do that ?
Thanks,
Srini.

both Ido and i have suggested using export to Excel > Data Only > Typical mode. please actually try the suggestion and you will find that it does work.
here is my report....
here's the export format, Excel Data-only
then select Typical as per the suggestions above
and the result is 2 columns, one for each field, and one row, one for each record.
i know that there is only 1 column for the large text field as when i cut it from the xls and paste it elsewhere i get this.

  • Deactivated objects after transport of Analytics Security Object

    Hello Experts,
We made a release Upgrade to 7.3. To garantee the access to our reports I implemented a lot new Analytics Security Objects. In our development system they are all activated. After transporting them into the quality system, all of them are deactived and not usable.
    Do you have any ideas?
    kind regards

    Hi Sujai,
Just check is your ODS object Locked or any process job is running on it.
    Was your transport successful.

  • Extracting a Report from SAP Spool into a Useful Excel 2010 Format

    Hi All,
Extracting a Report from SAP Spool into a Useful Excel 2010 Format.  I'm currently running the following report in SAP  and would like the
ability to set this report up as a recurring report running weekly and
subsequently access this report in a useable Excel 2010 format without
much data manipulation.  Can you please assist me.  Below, I've tried to
provide an example of what I'm encountering.   Thanks, beforehand for
    your assistance.
    Here goes:
Step one: Run 62 Report in SAP S_P99_41000062- Material List Price and
    Inventory
Step 2. Select stored Variant "Weekly KPI", ok. Enter the enter  the
desired company code and period I want thre report to run for and update
the currency, if necessary. Having input my desired criteria, I believe
I can either execute immediately, run in the background, preset to run
at date in the future. For this example let's just execute, immediately.
This is where the difference originates. Given, I run this report
immediately, I'm able to simply extract the result to Excel via the list
selection noted in the tool bar below.  The result is a data friendly
excel 2007  report is automatically generated.
    Export to Excel via list:
Select save and Excel 2007 opens automatically:
That said, the method outlined above works perfectly fine if you want
the report immediately.  Now let go back and run the exact same report
with exceptoin of running it in the background and having to retrieve it
from the Spool (SP01) uisng my user ID.  Given the report generated in
the background,  I would now access the report via the spool and make
    the following selections:
SP01 + execute to see my report
I would hit the sunglasses to see the actual report, then want to
extract this report to Excel by selecting the export option.
I would at this point select spreadsheet and be given an option to save
the spreadsheet to local file. However, upon trying to open the
spreadsheet I will receive an error messageindicating that the format is
different than that which the file I am currently trying to open it
with.  I'm currently running Excel 2010 on my computer.  The currency
format and other issues arrise with this extract.  Please help.
    Thanks,
    Chowadary.

    Update to Latest GUI.
Use   List -> Export -> Spreadsheet  to get the output to excel.
I remember in ALV max length allowed is 1023 characters and the max no of columns supported is 90. Issue occurs when row size of exported data gets more than 1023 character. (This includes if Long/Medium Header Text used ) If it exceed 1023 character the columns splits and moves to next row.
Check your fieldcatog for header lengths.

  • VF05 report screent to be copied into formated excel sheet

I would like to copy the VF05 Report screen into formatted excel sheet.
on the output screen of VF05 report, I tried settings-> Display variants:  here i have selected the layout, but the data could not copied into this layout
Please help me how this can be done.
    VERY URGENT

    hello, friend.
as i understand, you want to export the data from VF05 to an excel file.  if this is correct, do the following...
first exectue VF05.  input the necessary data (payer, material, date ranges, billing type, etc.)
on the next screen, on the menu go to LIST > SAVE > FILE.  chosse "Spreadsheet" and ENTER.  specify where you want to save the file, the title and the file type (EXCEL file).  click "Generate".
now, on your PC, click on the file that you saved.  you will now get your report in Excel format.
    hope this helped you.
    regards.

  • Can't place formatted Excel file into ID?

Can't place formatted Excel 2010 data base into InDesign CS5 on Mac? Won't place into newest version of ID either. Will place if I unmerge cells first, but I need thousands of the cells to be merged.

I thought you might want to do that. No, once a PDF you can't edit to your heart's content.
So, as to the matter of thousands of cells? You may have to look that one up but there is a limit on what you can do with an Excel file and InDesign; there are only so many cells, columns and rows that can be imported and let alone worked on inside InDesign.
And you want to merge the cells in InDesign? What ever for? If thousands of cells then edit in Excel to your heart's content and output a PDF. InDesign is not designed as a spreadsheet and not the tool you need and will really bog down with thousands of cells to merge. Just do it in Excel.

  • Convert contents of a formatted excel cell to HTML format

    Hi All,
Background: I am writing a script that uploads some test cases written in excel into Quality Center. For those who are familiar with the QC Excel Addin, this script would do a pretty similar job except for reducing
the steps involved. I'm using Office 2007 running on Win 7 Pro.
Need: I have a situation where the contents of a formatted excel cell need to be converted to HTML tags representing the same formattin in the excel cell. For example a cell containg the text: "Verify
if help topics in Macro section are
    hyperlinked" should be converted to
    <html><b>Verify</b> if help topics in <u>Macro section</u> are <i>hyperlinked</i></html>
Question: Is there an inbuilt function in Excel/VBAn accomplish this? Or is a macro required? Any other ideas to accomplish this?
Note: Whatever used for converting (an inbuilt function or a macro) should support new line characters and colors.
Any help or redirection to solutions is appreciated.
    Thanks, John.

  • Option to read fixed-length format, EXCEL or ASCII TAB delimited

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement for giving an option to read fixed-length format, EXCEL or ASCII TAB delimited in the selection screen.Kindly help me how can i read the fixed length format?
    Thanks,
    Ankita

As far as I could have understood your problem
You have to read the file with
Open dataset  'file path+name'  FOR INPUT in text mode encoding default.
and move its contents to string type variable
Transfer to 'file path+name' to v_string.
Now as per your requirements you need to use Offsets to transfer the data into a work area.
    For example
    wa_task-year=  v_string(4).
    wa_task-month=  v_string+4(2).
Please confirm if this is your requirement.

  • FORMAT Excel Colums using ABAP

    Hi ,
I need to format excel rows and columns .
Ex: I need to add border to the entire table and not just the title .
I used CALL METHOD of wf_range 'BorderAround'
              EXPORTING
    1 = 1
    2 = 4 .
This puts a box around the cell. What i want to do this for multiple cells and not handle it at for each cell.
like if my range is E1 to F3 then border is around ever cell. A2 A3 F2 F2 and not just around A2 to F3.
    Please help

    Hi.
You can record macros in excel and look at generated visual basic code. Then you should convert it into ABAP code.

    Hello
We have Boedge XI 3.1  on a platform linux  (redhat)  and when we are using webintelligence  and want to send  via email   the system doesn't  display  the possibility to send it  in a format excel  .  We have to backup the document in  a format excel on our workstation  and then send it via the mail on the workstation ....  . Do you have Business Objects installed on an unix platform ?
I want  having somebody who is working  on BO on an unix/linux platform saying me that is possible .
If I asked that question  it is because after installing BOEDGE XI on redhat  I tried to work with ACCESS universes and I spent

    Symptom
Can Business Objects Enterprise installed on Unix use Microsoft Access as a data source?
    Environment
    BusinessObjects Enterprise R2, R3
    Operating Systems: Solaris / AIX / HP-Unix / Linux
    Cause
The Microsoft Access database cannot be accessed from BusinessObjects Enterprise installed on any Unix operating system. This is an operating system limitation.  The application does not have the available strategy and configuration files that would be needed to work with third party software drivers.
    Resolution
When Business Objects Enterprise is installed on a Solaris / AIX / HP-Unix / Linux Environment, we cannot use Microsoft Access as a reporting database or a Central Management Server (CMS) database.

  • Formatting excel using 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'

    Hi,
I am having an issue in formatting excel content while sending as an attachment through a mail. I am using the FM 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'. I am getting an excel output as an attachment with the mail, but I would like to do formatting too in excel like add straight lines or add color to headings. Is this possible ?? I tried searching for this solution but I ain't getting anywhere. Please help if you have got any.
    Regards
    Raj.

    Hey Guys,
Thanks for the help.. but it is not useful for me. I already said I am able to get the output in excel format with data in correct column headings. I just want an example or a link where the formatting of adding vertical lines between data and coloring of headings are done before attaching to the mail.
    Regards
    Raj.

  • HTML formate excel files

    Hi,
I just recognized that the excel files which I can download from my OBI/Answers reports or which I used to send to customers are HTML formated excel files. I also found a remark in the Oracle OBI documentation.
Now my problem ...those files are much bigger then the ordinary excel files. Opening those files and saving them again as pure excel decreases the size by the factor 10x.
Unluckily some of those files a bigger then 10MB which is the size limit of mails of our mail server. My question is there a way to create normal, non-html formatted excel files (especially for sending them)?
    Thanks.

The link is very helpful but unluckily it is no solution (maybe there is no solution). If the excel file is in MHTML format it is much too big ...on the other hand it needs to be Excel 2003. So finally the question is still whether it is possible to get am Excel 2003 file without MHTML?

  • Format excel file when it is downloaded

How to format excel file when it downloaded from SAP table

    Hi,
In my opinion this would not be straight forward . Actully there are two possibilities :
    1. Create a dynamic itab with the structure as you desire in your requirement. But is it possible to have a itab where each row has a different structure. ? experts pls comment on this. ( extract & field group concepts are used to acheive the different structures for each line ).
    2. The more possible way i feel is to use the OLE excel concepts. Here we can add data to the excel sheet as wanted by you. Pls check for a beginners article by Rehan Zaidi ( SAP tips ).
In this case you can keep on adding values to the excel ( may be in a loop over your data table ) . For ex : you can add the title Annual Price Book for Program - B4, then the customer & date data & finally the material data. This needs to be repeated again for the next Sales order.
