Format for URL on letterhead

I'm redesigning letterhead. Previous URL format on letterhead:
http://personsname.organizationname.org
May I correctly leave off the http://? I've tested the URL and the browsers I've tried sen me to the right place.

There's always the risk it won't be recognized as a legit URL without the http://. I'd leave it in just to buck the trend. It would be an interesting study to see if leaving it out reduces traffic. Probably not. I guess it's your call. What does the client say?

What is the correct format for localhost URL?

I've installed MAMP to run a local test server.
This appears to be working correctly with the URL in the following format:
http://localhost/folder/filename.php/
Where folder is the folder for the site located inside the Apache Document Root Folder - as defined in the MAMP preferences.
I have web sharing turned off.
Looking around the web it seems that the format for the URL should be:
http://localhost/~username/folder/filename.php
However, when I insert "~username" in the URL the browser can't find the page.
These are my first tentative steps in setting up a local test server and so I'm concerned that something might be amiss!
I've hunted around and can't find any documentation that clarifies the issue.
Can anyone clarify the issue or point me to appropriate documentation.

The second format is for a different location - in your Home folder. This would work if; a. Apache was installed using the Home folder; and b. if "folder" existed in the Home folder. Use the form you are currently using since it works.

OData Feed Link Format for an Excel Workbook Stored in SharePoint

I've heard it is possible to use an OData Feed Link to get data from an Excel Workbook that is stored on SharePoint 2013 online. Does anyone know the format for the link? I've been searching high and low and cannot get any specific format that works. Thanks!

I received this from someone on our team:
In PQ, click From File -> From Excel.
In the file dialog that appears, paste in your site url (e.g. https://mycompany.sharepoint.com/teams/myteam).
The file dialog will display the files stored in your sharepoint site. Navigate until you reach the desired excel file.
Select it and click done.
On the credential prompt, use Organizational.

Invalid date format for 'Created' field in the getVersions web service Response.

Hi all,
I am trying to get all versions for selected document by calling getVersions method Versions.asmxweb service, but getting ‘Created’ date attribute value is in the format "29-05-2012 12:01"
but I am expecting either one of the following date formats.
1.      yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss or yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ssz
2.      MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm a   (a means AM/PM)
3.      MM/dd/yyyy
4.      yyyyMMdd HH:mm:ss
where do I need to change?
what are all the formate will be support by SharePoint?

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to change date format for ‘Created’ field in the getVersions web service.
Per my knowledge, you can get the date format for ‘Created’ field as “MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm a”.

Video podcast format for iPods

I created a video podcast and the RSS feed was successfully accepted by iTunes.
The first two episodes download through iTunes fine. The only problem is that the video file would not transfer to any video iPod. The first two episodes were 320x240 .mov files.
So, I read some sites and found out that it needed to be a .m4v file. I edit the show in iMovie. After finishing the third episode, I used iMovie to "Share to iPod" which I figured would format the file into a proper format for an iPod.
The 3rd episode is uploaded onto the RSS feed, but iTunes doesn't recognize this and make the file available for download. It still only has the first two episodes for download.
Any suggestions? Do I need to use Quicktime Pro and use that to convert the files?

I dont know about doing it the "easy" way with apps that do all the work for you. Here it is the "hard" manual way.
You should create a graphic specifically for this purpose and upload that JPEG file to the pace where your podcast episodes are hosted. Then you can post the URL of the picture into your RSS feed, in the top part where all the main info about your podcast is. It should look like this:

where the "href" is the http of your picture.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Autofill tab. Select the box next to:
User names and passwords.
Navigate to a site you normally log into with the user name and password. Click Yes when prompted. That will save that information to a new keychain for you.
Passwords are actually stored in your Keychain Access application. (Applications/Utilities)

Is there any other way to achieve "Modified Base64 for URL", to be directly executed in one single command, instead of doing this string manipulation chain: (?)

Do you need to use this specific format? or do you just need a some Base64
text encoded for use in a URL? If its the latter, have you tried using java.net.URLEncoder?

What is the file format for blobs stored for mds

Does anyone know what type of file is stored into the blobs for a saved search/layout for mds in the streamed docs table? It doesn't appear to be xml, and looking at the a text version of whats in there it looks like its java code, but it isn't quite that.
If anyone can point me in the right direction of being able to to turn the blob back into something human readable that would be great, as i would much rather be able to edit the blob than wipe out data.

The data storage format for MDS data, while you may be able to figure it out or guess what it is by looking at it, is not published as far as I know. The only APIs that are published (again, as far as I know) are [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/apirefs.1111/e14776/toc.htm]here
Editing the data is at your own risk. You could always try raising a request with https://support.oracle.com asking for details, but I wouldn't bet anything of value on receiving the data you're asking for.

I am not aware of a way except for photos that allows you to select multiple files in an email. I even checked settings in the Adobe Reader app, and it does not show that ability.

Printers do not show up in Page Setup Format for menu

Hello. I just installed Acrobat 9 Professional. Upgrade from AP7. For some reason, when I go to select the printer in the Page Setup> Format For> dropdown menu, the printers do not show up. When I try to make a pre-set for this printer it never works and always defaults back to Language Level 3, which gives me a postscript error when I try to print. It prints fine at Language Level 2 but I can't get the setting to stay. Any clues???

There are some oddities in Pages' methods.
What you did was save the changed template which had been altered on the page but you also needed to "capture" and save the Layout or Section over the existing one in the document using the same name to replace it.
I will walk you through making your own version of a template.
1 Open a new document using the template you wish to customise.
2 Don't change anything yet, but open every section from the Sections pull down menu so you have a sequence of pages each with a page of a different section design.
3 Make Master Objects selectable if they are not.  Change each Section to your liking.
4 +Menu > View > Page Thumbnails+
5 Select first Thumbnail in sidebar  +Menu > Format > Advanced > Capture Pages… > Name : Type exactly the same name as the section > It will ask you if you want to replace the existing section > Replace+
6 Repeat this for each section until you have replaced them all.
7 +Menu > File > Save as Template… > Save with a New Name+
8 +Menu > File > New from Templates > My Templates > Choose your New Name template+
You now have a document customised to your design.

Is there a way by which I can preserve my work done on DV PAL and switch it preserving its proportions, scale and orientation, but on a HD project sequence?? Appreciate your help and advice..

Yes. A couple of ways that might work.
First Way
What you need to do is load one of your hd clips in the viewer and edit into a new HD sequence. Does it display correctionly?
OK, select the clip in the hd timeline and copy (command-c). Now go to the HD sequence with the material that's distorted. Select all (command-a) and paste attributes (option-v) and choose basic motion and distort. That should maek things work. What won't work is anything that you've adjusted as far as basic motion or distort in your PAL sequence. That I'm pretty sure you'll have to redo.
Second Way.
Choose your original PAL sequence and do a Media Manage changing the sequence preset to the appropriate HD paramenters with the media offline. You then should be able to reconnect these clips with your original HD media.

Do you wish that at all customer site all concern involved in implemtation do the same work ?
I believe ERP is meant for single entry system, and it should be true for implementation also, why to invest man hours for the same task ?
I expect it standard reports should be released by SAP, so that speed of implementation improve, we have more nos. of satisfied customers.
customised reports is all together different and it is understood that it is needed to be developed after study the exact requirement.

How can I transfer files off an external hard drive formatted for windows?

I just bought my first mac (yay!) and am trying to transfer my files off of my old pc. The problem is that I stored all my personal files on an external hard drive, which is of course formatted for windows. My mac will open it, but it is "read only." I tried plugging it back into my pc and using the Migration Assistant to transfer my files over, but it was not detected (rest of the pc was).
However, the second time I tried plugging it in to my pc, it told me it would need to be formatted first. Obviously my mac has changed something on it, and now all my personal files are on a hard drive that is unusable by either my old pc or my new mac!
Any suggestions would be appreciated! Heads up though, I am not especially computer literate, and my pc needs to stay intact as the husband needs it and some of the programs on it for school. Also, I have a second external hard drive that is brand new with nothing on it, if that will come in handy.

Format the extra HDD to EXFAT as previously indicated. There are two ways that can use to transferr the data.
1. Connect both drives to the PC and the copy the files to the newly formatted (EXFAT) drive from the HDD with the data . Then connect the EXFAT drive to the MBP and transfer the data to same.
2. Connect both drives to the MBP and open DISK UTILITY>RESTORE. Drag the drive with the data on it to the 'Source' field. Drag the EXFAT drive to the 'Destination' field. Click on the 'Restore' butt is on. After the transfer has been completed, close DISK UTILITY and place the data on the MBP where you want it.

Textarea formatting for carriage returns

Hi all,
I've created a websheet that includes a textarea column and have found that while any text entered in edit mode displays a carriage return, as soon as the data has been entered and the field returns to read-only mode the carriage returns are not retained . . . all of the content is displayed in one continuous string. Is there a way to accomplish this?
