Format of external NF number/series is wrong

Hi,
When i was trying to create a returns order on reference field i need to enter the nota fiscal number but when i enter something which is more than 6 characters it is giving this error:
"Format of external NF number/series is wrong"
Can anyone please tell me where this format is defined??
Many thanks...

Hello,
This issue is related to the localization Brazil process. I know that exists some SAP notes to similar issues. But I'd recommend you to check the SPED & NFe forum in the SDN portal.
They can advise you better in this area since it's not related to FI.

  • How do I format an external HD with Recovery Disk Assistant on?

    Hi,
I have seen a couple of threads on this, but I'm still not "Compos Mentis" with how to format an external drive with the Recovery Disk Assistant on.
I have a 320GB which has my recovery disk assistant on - "Don't ask!" - Anyway it goes without saying that I want it all back, but I'll be damned if I can get there. I have managed to view (after a lot of faffing) what I thought was the External Drive, but now realise that it's not...this is what I am now seeing - are these removable via partition (disk0s1 & Recovery HD) as I have been merrily trying to erase them in he belief that they were the external HD and as far as I can see nothing has changed...only my annoyance!
Anyway in short, I need this
    A) view the external drive and
    B) Format it back to 320GB
Can anyone spoon feed me a way out?
    Thanks

I don't understand what you mean by, "how to format an external drive with the Recovery Disk Assistant on."
You don't need to use the Recovery HD to format an external drive. Just use Disk Utility:
    Drive Preparation
    1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Steps 4-6 are optional but should be used on a drive that has never been formatted before, if the format type is not Mac OS Extended, if the partition scheme has been changed, or if a different operating system (not OS X) has been installed on the drive.

  • Is it safe to format ANY external drive to Mac OS Extended?

Some Seagate tech told me a while back that Seagate drives should ONLY be formatted with their proprietary formatting and that my data is vulnerable if I use something else.  (I may have misunderstood this, but I'm 98% certain that's what he said.)  I do remember him saying not to use the Mac's Disk Utility to format the drive.
I want to reformat this drive so that it's 100% compatible with my new Mavericks iMac.
Is there any concern about formatting ANY external drive to Mac OS Extended (Journaled).  Or are there some hard drives that should not be formatted to Mac using Disk Utility?
I'm under the impression that all external drives are basically the same and I can format them however I want.  No drive is "made" to be formatted with a certain OS or a certain format.
    Is that correct?

Formatting a drive simply will remove any data currently stored on it. There is no such thing as "proprietary formatting." Drives come out of the factory with no formatting.
Whatever the person told you it was patently wrong not to mention mis-informed.
To use a hard drive properly with any computer it needs to be formatted with the tool that is required for the operating system with which it will be used. For the Mac you use Disk Utility (the tool) and you format the drive using Mac OS Extended, Journaled (the format.)
    Your impression is correct.

  • How sort projects by given number serie (ie. date)

    Hi,
Right or wrong my 35 000 photos are in the library put in folders by year. Within each year there are projects (approx 30 -70 per year) with project names such as "20100725 closeups of a moose". When i add new projects as days go by and name them by the date series I use, they do not automatically drop into a slot as they would if sorted by the number.
How do I sort projects by their name (ie number series)?
    please advice,
    regards pyry.

  • Validate External Serial Number

How do I apply a validation mask to an external serial number?  For a specific material, I want to only accept a serial number with a certain format when that component is assembled to the parent.
I tried setting up a validation mask for this material, associating the mask group to the material, and assigning EN521 to the EXTERNAL_SERIAL Data Type. But I am still able to enter any number when I assemble the component.  Am I missing as step or is this validation not possible?

    Hi Alli,
Check the activity rule for EN521 includes the "EXTERNAL_SERIAL" Data Field on which you are doing the mask validation.

    Andrew.

  • External Document Number assignment using Bapi_acc_document_post

    Hi All Experts and Max,
We want to post th same external document no using BAPI_ACC_document_post, but we are unable to post thatexternal  Document no.
Note: If we are posting the same no using transaction FB01 , we are able to post the document , if we are passing the Acc_do_no field as the external Document no.
Our requirement is to post the document no of the e.g A system to B system with th esame document No .
Kindly provide what value we need to pass in the obj_type , obj_key and obj_sys fields of BAPI_ACC_Document_post.
I am aware about the scenario that in case of internal document no creation we will get all these 3 fields from th eBAPI, but we need the values in case of external document no assignment.
We tried with obj_type as 'BKPFF' but we are not able to post the document with that obj_type, In that case Bapi is clearing the exterbal document no acc_doc_no field in the first subroutine.
Note: We are uploading a file in different system  with the .dat format and we are using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST method.
Please refer the below link for more issue details.

  • How to format an external drive for mac AND pc use

i want to format my external drive so i can use it on my mac and on pc's as well. i've gathered that the MS-DOS format is the way to go. my question is this: would this create any problems for my mac then?
can i partion one part for ms-dos and part for macos extended?
    cheers
    -j-

MS-DOS format (or FAT32) will be fine for both Mac and PC. However there is a 4GB file size limit with FAT32.
You could use a dual partition, however the HFS+ partition would not be readable by the PC unless you installed the third party MacDrive.
Look at this page for more information on a dual partition drive for Mac and Windows.
