Formating in Report 10G

I am getting the following output.
SNO GR BOOK SCNO BILLNO RCTNO RCTDATE RCT-AMT SNO GR BOOK SCNO BILLNO RCTNO RCTDATE RCT-AMT
1 592 E258 073688 9 291182 101108 6400
2 592 E256 085375 9 291183 101108 24900
3 592 E256 020404 9 291185 101108 97600
4 592 E260 075430 9 291187 101108 50700
I want the following output.
SNO GR BOOK SCNO BILLNO RCTNO RCTDATE RCT-AMT SNO GR BOOK SCNO BILLNO RCTNO RCTDATE RCT-AMT
1 592 E258 073688 9 291182 101108 6400 2 592 E256 085375 9 291183 101108 24900
3 592 E256 020404 9 291185 101108 97600 4 592 E260 075430 9 291187 101108 50700
As in the above query SNO 2 is coming horizontally after SNO 1
How to do it in report layout editor.

Hello,
If instead of :
1
2
3
4
you want the output as :
1 2
3 4
you can change the Repeating frame Direction :
Change the default value "Down" to "Across Down"

  • Missing format in Report 10g

After converting the reports 6i to 10g, all the format are missing in the output.
We have horizontal line, vertical line and column header line in all the reports. But in report 10g output displays with out any horizontal or vertical line. This line formats are very important in few reports like purchase order, sale order prints.
    I am using RP2RRO library.
    Any solution.

    I am using HTML.
PDF output displays it correctly but orientation is changed. In the report orientation is Landscape. Even in reports 6i, it was perfect. But in 10g desformat as pdf, the orientation is changed to pdf.

  • ORacle reports 10g conditional formatting

    ORacle reports 10g
Trying to hide a txt field without losing the line
If I hide the field depending on a condition, all lines below move up - I do not want this to happen
    Any suggestions ?
XML is out of the question at this time on this report.

If possible, change the vertical elasticity of the item to 'Fixed'. If it is not feasible, then do you have any other items on left or right of the hidden item, which you do not hide? If you enclose all the items (including the item which is in question) within a frame. And change the line color of the frame to transparent. Vertical elasticity as 'Variable'. If that is also not possible, then create a boilerplate text (type . there), next to the item. Change the color of the '.' to white and font size to 2. So it is not visible. When item is hidden, '.' will be there and lines wouldn't move up.
    Hope this helps.

  • Image Problem in Reports 10g

    Hi Gurus,
I am using an Boilerplate in the Reports 10g. In the Property Inspection I am passing
    Source File Format : Image
    Source FileName : &P_IMG_LOCATION
Where &P_IMG_LOCATION is the dynamic location which is fetched from the database
    For Eg . &P_IMG_LOCATION will be \\oracle\logo.bmp
But It is giving accepting &P_IMG_LOCATION in the Source FileName.
Please tell me how can i pass the location???
    Best Regards,

Yeah, you can't do that. Instead, in your data model, create a formula column that is populated from &p_img_location. Then, set the "Read from File" property to "Yes" and the "File Format" to "Image". In your layout, create a new field and use the new formula column as the source.

  • Re: Barcode in Reports 10g

I know this is an old post,
    Barcode in Reports 10g
but I am facing the same problem here. Using reports 11.1.2.1, running on a Linux server.
I have set this on <domain>config/FRComponent/frcommon/guicommon/tk/admin/uifont.ali:
    XYZFONT = "XYZFONT.afm XYZFONT.pfa"
But generated PDF reports are not embedding the fonts, since I need to have them installed on the computer to see the barcode. I understand the parameter PDFEMBED is set to true by default. But my reports are called from Oracle Forms. How can I be sure the parameter is correct? What else could I check?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
The steps related to PDF Subsetting and PDF embedding are "extra" steps that occur after the step "Report formatting ".
In order to take into account the line :
    XYZFONT = "XYZFONT.afm XYZFONT.pfa"
the font used during the step "Report formatting " must be XYZFONT .
Did you test to generate the Report with DESFORMAT=HTML ?
Check in the HTML output the font name used for the "Barcode Field".
For more details , you can refer to the document :
Troubleshooting Guide for Font Aliasing / Font Subsetting / Font Embedding Issues (Doc ID 350971.1)
    Kind regards

  • Adding Image in Reports 10g

I have added one image in existing Report to customize it.While seeing the utput in Applications it does not display the image. The format for the image is .jpg.We are using Applications R12,Reports 10g.How to get it.

    Hi ,
Firstly sorry for asking in the same thread . .
I am also working in the same envronment.
my destination type is PDF and its a bitmap report.
so my senario is something like this.
I need to print the signature of the agent based on the agent id on all pages of the report.
and each page it has to check the agent id and print the same .. we can issue the report to generate the o/p for multiple orders/so multiple agents. . . so
    1st page -> jack -> so his singature . ..
2nd page -> Jack . . same order continues -> same signatuer repeats.
    3rd page -> scott -> so another signature . .
    issues:
we have to print this in the footer of the page . . so we used the edit margin section for the same.
we are actually picking up the agent id for that page using a summary column and function set to last and reset at page level.
( both the summary column and the formula colum are not in any group in the data model)
we created a formula column for picking the image file properties below
    type: character
    read from file: yes
    file_type: image
it actually works but the problem is the image starts from the second page onwards. and for 3 pages it prints . . .
    1st page -> blank - Jack's signature is req.
    2nd page - > jack's signature appears . .
    3rd page -> jack's signature -> should be scott's signature
in case the fourth page for scott or any other person is ther e
    scott's signature appears . . .
    please guide me . . .
    thanks and regards

  • Include file MSWORD in Orale Report 10g

    Hy,
i have a report developed with Oracle Developer 6i and inside it
there is an OLE2 object than contains a Word Document.
Now i would migrate this report in Report 10g but OLE2 is not supported
    because is deprecated.
How can I resolve my problem ?
    Giuseppe

    Thank you for your answer,
but it doesn't work for my problem, because my report is
a complex report with a lot of items (standard) and not only one OLE object.
Imagine that my report have a part that read from db and another part that read my Word document and the report format all objects toghether.
So I need to leave standard objects in the report and substitute OLE object with an alternative compatible solution.
How can i resolve it ?

  • R12.1.3 - Reports 10g PDF Output not opening from SRS window

    Gurus,
Your help will be highly appreciable for the below context.
While trying to open a report output, following error occurs and won't show the PDF format correctly.
"There was an error processing a page. There was a problem reading this document(135)".
Object Type : Reports 10g with graph
Conc Program Output Type : PDF
Note: Currently issue happening only in DEV instance not in UAT/Prod instance.
    Thank You.

    Hi,
When you click View Output, press the Control key and see if you get an open/save dialog. If one is displayed, save the document and try opening it directly from the PDF reader.
If this does not resolve the issue, post a screenshot of the error.

  • How to add Oracle Graphics 6i charts (OGD) to my Oracle Reports 10g

    Hi,
Is there any possibility to add Oracle Graphics 6i Charts (.OGD) to Oracle Reports 10g
    (OR)
If not possible, Can you please provide steps to migrate OGD to any format that is supported in Oracle Reports 10g.
    Regards,
    Swethan

Oracle Graphics and its OGD image format are no longer supported. Reports built with previous versions of Oracle Reports containing Oracle Graphics charts will continue to run in Oracle Reports 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) if the Oracle Graphics 6i runtime is installed on the same machine in a separate ORACLE_HOME. However, this is not a supported configuration, and Oracle will not fix bugs that result from this configuration.
Re-create all Oracle Graphics 6i objects using the Graph Wizard
