Formating / initialising problems muvo v

. The Help on MuVo V200 tells me to "Initialize" the player from the "Organize" window. I can not find this option there.
2. Firmware upgrade seems to be older (.05. ..) than freeware already installed on my player (.0....).
3. After starting the Firmware upgrade I am getting the message "Unable to send scsi command ..."
What am I doing wrong? I am working with W XP and USB .0 port.
Any help appreciated.

The Organize window is actually the Organizer view of Creative MediaSource (the other view is Player) - it is the view where you see your PC Music Library and your player when you connect it. When the player is connected and you click to display its contents in the left hand pane you should then see an Initialize button.
You can also Initialize with V200 Media Explorer which (if installed) will appear in your My Computer Windows Explorer window. Connect your player and double-click on V200 Media Explorer - you should then see the Initialize button.
Only format in FAT, not FAT32 as it isn't supported by the V200 (according to the manual).
The .0.04 version of firmware was available for a while but was removed. Don't reload .05.02 unless you really need to - see the link in my signature line for available versions.
Why are you trying to reload the firmware?

Data format inconsistency problem on Discoverer 4i plus and Desktop 4.1

I encountered 'data format inconsistency' problem when using
Discoverer 4i plus web version vs Desktop version 4.1 to run the
same report :-
The result returned by Desktop version is as following:-
Employee Count Percent Employee Count
Mgt 202 18%
Occ 891 81%
Other 1 0%
Percent 1094 100%
The result returned by 4i web version is like the following:-
Employee Count Percent Employee Count
Mgt 202 18%
Occ 891 81%
Other 1 0%
Percent 109400% 100%
Pls note that the Employee count column is 1094 in Desktop
version whereas in web version it's 109400%
After I export the data to Ms Excel, I obtained below result :-

Occ 891 0.814442
Other 1 0.000914
Percent 1094 1
I would like to know if this is Oracle Discoverer bug or it's a
known issues ?

Testo 176 - Serial initialisation problem

I am trying to get the Testo 176P1 talking with labview 2011.
I have downloaded the TestoToolbox and also got an update from the German support with a Toolbox2.exe installer.
Anyhow I am unable to get through the initialisation process with the tcddka.dll from Testo (V1.2).
I do have a simple question: What device name do you feed to the Init procedure?
1) the name you can see in devicemanager? in my case "testo 175-176-2010" --> Exception occured in tcddka: Invalid DeviceName in testo serial init.vi
2) but "testo175-176-2010" gives me --> "Exception occured in tcddka: The instrument is not responding in testo serial init.vi"
3) or the general "testo175-177" results in "Exception occured in tcddka: The instrument is not responding in testo serial init.vi"
Seems I did set the COM-port correctly!
+ the testo software is able to connect with the device without a problem.
in earliers posts about a Testo Gas detector, I saw characters being added and modifications being made in comsoft.cat file... ?
Any suggestions are welcome!

My initialisation problem was resolved after unplugging & reconnecting the device!
Attached Vi works without error reporting but I still do not get the pressure value displayed on the screen of the Testo 176...

NTFS format partition problem - install Windows 8.1

I cannot install Windows 8.1 from USB via bootcamp, on Mavericks late 2013 rMPB 15"
When I get towards the end of the Windows Setup screen the Bootcamp partition is showing as not NTFS format
There is no 'advanced options' to click, under the 4 partition options.
I have pressed Option and tried installing through either the 'Windows' partition and the 'EFI' partition - both have the NTFS format problem.

Just hit the 'format' button - looks like it might be working now

PS CS5 PDF Large Format Printing Problem

I had to create a file for a sign (9 feet by 20 feet - 100 dpi) in PS CS5. Problem is I now need to send it to the sign printer. I need to make a PDF from the file but the save as makes the file size bigger than the PSD even with changing the compression settings. The other problem is I cannot print to PDF as when I try that the Acrobat X save as dialogue box never appears. The screen just goes back to the artwork. I have deleted the preferences, reinstalled Acrobat, etc. What can I do here?

To maintain vector output capability from Photoshop in PDF you can't output PDF by way of printing and using Acrobat Distiller. From the File Menu you choose Save As and then select Photoshop PDF from the list of file formats. It will retain vector data from embedded fonts and vector shape layers. I just tested it using Photoshop CS 5.5 64-bit and then viewing the results in Acrobat X.
That being said, Photoshop is a crude tool for passing along vector-based artwork. I don't like the vector shape layers feature very much at all because I find it very user un-friendly. I very much prefer to use Adobe Illustrator in conjunction with Photoshop. It's so much easier to control. I often paste AICB formatted paths into Photoshop's paths palette via the clipboard and then use the vectors as sources to create fills and other things. I'll manually create clipping paths on photos in Photoshop and save TIFF images with the clipping paths active to knock out the background when placing the TIFF in an InDesign or Illustrator layout. I'll create other vector objects in Photoshop to later export in .AI format to Illustrator. Ultimately the end result winds up in Illustrator as a single page layout or in InDesign as a multi-page layout. Both Illustrator and InDesign are far more capable than Photoshop at combining vector-based art and raster-based art together. When you save a PDF from InDesign or Illustrator there is no doubt your raster content and vector content will remain intact. Like the solution with Photoshop, in InDesign and Illustrator you simply choose to save the file in PDF format. No need for using the print to PPD and Acrobat Distiller post process step. Distiller comes in very handy for creating PDFs from lots of non-Adobe applications.

NEED HELP...FORMATING SIZE PROBLEM

I've been succesfully building and formating projects that only lasted 30 minutes.
I'm having some problems with my latest project (1 hour and 20 minutes)...
I did compress with "90 minutes best quality".
and when I import in dvdsp, the file size is 6 GB.
Now it won't format into a blank dvd-R.
I am kinda new at this and need to put it on a dvd for a client.
Could somebody tell me what should I do ?
Should I compress again or can I still burn it with another form of blank dvd?
I need help...

Make sure to select A.Pack/Dolby (make sure that file is made) and use that in the project, not the .aif file

i made a thread about this issue in the dutch MSI forums aswell, but the more help the better no?
i'll first start with my system specifications , so we have that out of the way:
Motherboard: MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum (s939) bios v1.5 (tried 1.B but that didnt solve my problem)
Processor: AMD Athlon 64bit 3500+ (2.2Ghz) (dont know the core , i think it was newcastle)
Geheugen: 2X Crusial BallistiX CL2 PC 3200 512MB (i also have 2x Corsair XMS PC3200 CL2 memory, but i only equipped my computer with the Crusial BallistiX memory atm)
Videocard: Sapphire Radeon X850 XT PE
Power Supply: Enermax 20 / 24pins 32A on the 12V line
well, my problem started about 2 days ago, when i shut down my computer, since the F.E.A.R demo ran a bit laggy ( i had all 4 of my memory modules in my PC then, and i wanted to remove the corsair memory ) once removed i only had the Crusial BallistiX memory in it , in dual channel , slot 1 and 2 (slots closest to CPU) , but once i booted my computer, i got a BSOD just after windows loaded.. something about the ACPI. the STOP number was:
STOP: 0x000000A5(0x00000011,0x00000007,0xF771F180,0x0100000E)
then i putted my corsair memory back in, but then i still got this BSOD.. and it said something about the BIOS, so i updated my bios to 1.B , but that didn't help a bit, so i donwgraded my bios again to v1.5 , hich i have now. i only have the crusial ballitix installed atm, which runs stable according to memtest (ran it for 14 hours, then i stopped it) with this timing: 2.5-2-2-5 1T (Cas latency 2 just wont run stable)
so my memory is OK i suppose.. and wlel, i couldnt get into windows, so as a final solution, i decided to format the harddrive, so i entered my WindowsXP CD , and it began loading the drivers (and i pushed F6 , and loaded the S-ATA / Raid Drivers ) , but straight after it loaded the things of the CD i get:
- a BSOD , with something about the ACPI
- reboot
- flashing underscore in the upper left courner..
so i cant really do anything , except get into the BIOS. i also tried to start windows in safe mode, but then i get a message similar to this:
'Cannot start windows , because the following file is damaged or missing:'
<windows-mainfolder>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
so i first thought about a virus, but that seems kinda odd , since i run a virus scan everyday (my virusscanner is NOD32) , and i think a virus with such destructive power will be detected..
another number from a BSOD (i get this one most of the times now) is this:

hopefully you guys have an idea what to do, and as a final solution, i am willing to afford a new harddrive, but will that solve my problem? or is something else causing this problem?

didnt really get that, but i removed the CMOS battery , and placed it back in again , but that didnt help, and by the way, my problem got worse :(
i didnt do anything really.. just trying to start my computer .. but i can currently do this:
1. Press power on button
2. watch screen
3. press power button to shutdown
and that is as good as it gets :(
it sais to press del to get into the BIOS,but no matter what i press, it doesnt matter.. it then goes to the post screen, and displays this message:
CMOS Checksum failed! Loading defaults
something like that.. and here the system is totally frozen so i have to power off / reboot
and before hat message i cannot push a button!
I dont think my motherboard can be rescued can it?

Format file problem uploading electronic bank statement files FF_5 RFEBKA00

I am facing a problem when uploading electronic bank statement files with the file format. The situation is as follows:
1- Electronic bank statement files are sent by FTP from the bank to a certain directory in AL11
2- we have developed a "z" program that just picks electronic bank statement files from AL11 directory and process them using standard FF_5 (RFEBKA00) program.
3- When processing some files had an error, when debugging we have verified that errors are caused by some "special" characters non Unicode as "®" (=Hex'AE') with UTF-8, a '#' is displayed.
SAP answers a question as follows:
AL11 is designed to display os-files (log-files, trace-files etc.)
from within the SAP-system for supporting purposes in order not to
logon to the os itself.
It was not designed to display any file-content in the system created
with any code-page.
AL11 opens the file in textmode with encoding option default, which
means UTF-8 in a unicode system and NON-UNICODE in the other case.
You cannot change this setting.
If you have the need to specify these options, depending on your files,
you can make a copy of report RSWATCH0 and customize the OPEN-statement
to yor needs.
On a Unicode system, the files need to be in Unicode format (UTF-8).
Eg:When you interpret a non-Unicode "®" (=Hex'AE') with UTF-8, a '#' is
displayed.
Case 1:
Who is creating those files? Are these files
1) created by you
2) are they written by a SAP application?
==>There are the notes 752835 and 747615 for cases like these.
In case 2) it may be that the application responsible for the file
download (not AL11!) should be the problem, considering note 752835.
There is also the possibility for you to convert the file to the correct format using our tool RSCP_CONVERT_FILE (note 747615).
System administrator has told me to copy standard RFEBKA00 program and modify the OPEN-statement but I am not agree because I think that the problem is when generating the files in bank's system and/or sending the files to SAP by FTP.
Does any body face a problem like this before? Any ideas?

The files that are available in AL11 are in Unicode.
Can you convert them to text by using the following method and then try:
You must have mapped this directory and having access.
Right click on file
Open with: Microsoft Office Word
Then the pop-up comes: File conversion - bacs
Select Other encoding radio button
Then select "Unicode" from list
and say OK
Now the file is being opened in readable format:
File SAVE as PLAIN TEXT
Save the file in the same folder that you are referring to in AL11
Now if you try with this .txt file, it should work in FF_5

Servlet initialisation problem

Hi! I am very new to servlet and would appreciate your assistance in this problem.
I am using j2sdk1.3.1_08, Tomcat 4.1.27, Log4j 1.2.28
I would like to initialise log4j using servlet. Following are the codes I used. Somehow, this servlet does not get initialised as there are no logs generated. But if I run runLog.jsp following by test.jsp, it works. Do you know why?

Formatting failed problem.

hi, i've done my first project on dvd studio. bit of a trail and error but i got there in the end. i just have one problem now. if i want to burn the project i get the message 'Formatting failed - One of the volumes on the media is still in use.' i tried everything i knew is possible, but still cant get over this message.
also, i've burned one dvd which worked before, but it could not be plaid on my dvd player or on a pc, but it worked on mac's. which settings do i have to use?
can imagine that this is basic stuff for you guys who are familiar with the software, but i would be glad for every help. thanks. michael.

Date Format Conversion Problem

Hi I am having trouble converting excel files to PDF.
I am in Australia and so we use the date format dd/mm/yyyy.
However when I convert to PDF it changes the date to the American format mm/dd/yyy.
For example if the date in Excel is 07/08/2013 (7th of August 2013) after conversion to PDF it displays as the 08/07/2013 (8th of July 2013).
Can someone please tell me how to get Adobe CreatePDF to convert to the correct date format?

Template and format printing problem

Hello I have pages 08 in French installed on my Intel Imac; the problem I am experiencing is when using a pre-defined template,
I open a template such as elegant letter (which has borders) I format all my text and graphics I then do a print preview which shows everything is good but when I print I am missing the bottom part of the border and the information, I have noticed that my default printer setting is set to A4 but when I change it to letter format I still am missing the bottom of the sheet, does anyone know how to solve this problem

PXI MXI-3 Initialisation problem on Win2k

I'm using an 8 card PXI chassis, which is connected to a Win2k PC by a MXI-3 bridge. I have found that adding one particular card to the rack (a value motion card) causes system initialisation to fail - Windows boots OK, but even MAX can't see any cards. The problem occurs on the two target machines intended to run the rig, but not on my development machine. Any ideas how to diagnose/fix this?

The PXI-7314 is the card in question - My first thought is that we could have been sent one of the pre-update cards. however, presumably this would cause the problem on all Win2000 machines, whereas we only see it on the target machines. The machines we see the problem on are 1 GHz Intel Pentium 3's which our client purchased from an extremely small low cost manufacturer in the UK - so I'm wondering if the problem may lie there.
What we see when the card is installed (including when only the MXI-3 and the 7314 are in the in the rack) is that the MXI-3 optimisation runs, detects the PXI rack OK, but fails to detect any cards. Trying to access the cards from Visual Basic via ComponentWorks custom controls obviously fails, and MAX d
oesn't report any cards.
