Hi Shaik,
It is possible to do Formatted reports and probably you can design your own Customized report template and use across for all queries.

  • Show line in the spreadsheet format report

    Hiii,
    I want to show line in the spreadsheet format report.
    Is it possible ?
    if yes then please tell me how to do this ?

    Hello,
    There is a known issue :
    Spreadsheet Output Contains White Fill Color by Default Hiding the Excel Gray Border (Doc ID 453166.1)
    Execute the following steps to workaround this issue.
    1) Open the report in reports builder
    2) Right click on the report in Object Navigator
    3) Click on Property Inspector
    4) Click in Before Report Value
    5) Remove bgcolor="#FFFFF"
    6) Save the report and run it to Spreadsheet output

  • Reports 3.0.5 and Excel Format Report Generation

    Hi Folks,
    I need to create excel format report on my Windows based OS using Report Desiginer 3.0.5.
    Can someone help in this matter as urgent as possible? Your help will highly be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Zahir

    The problem is that you're going to have to jump through hoops to do something that's very, very easy in the release you're going to, so you need to seriously consider where to put your efforts. If you want to do this in 3.0, then you'll need to follow the data file report example in the 2.5 Building Reports manual (see http://otn.oracle.com/doc/reports25/bror2/ch6a.htm#toc096)

  • Print out a Date in a format I want

    Now if I print out a Date object, I will get something like "Sat Jan 01 00:00:00 CST 2005", but what I want is "1/1/2005". I tried to use the get methods to get the month, day, and year so that I can put them in a format I want. However, all the get methods have been deprecated. What will be a possible(maybe easy as well?) way to do it? Thanks.

    Something like:
    import java.util.Date;
    import java.text.DateFormat;
    import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
    public class Test {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            DateFormat df = new SimpleDateFormat("d/M/yyyy");
            Date now = new Date();
            System.out.println(df.format(now));
            // new for Java 5.0 - almost the same format
            System.out.printf("%te/%<tm/%<tY%n", now);
    }Note: If you're using Java 5.0, then you can use the new printf method for PrintWriters. However, this doesn't appear to have a formatting token for single digit months.

  • Crystal reports and formatted reporting.

    hi experts,
    i have a clarification about  crystal reports and formatted reporting.in what scenarios they are used..
    points ll be rewarded...
    thanks
    baskar

    Hi ,
    Crystal Reports is a powerful, dynamic, actionable reporting solution that helps you design, explore, visualize, and deliver reports via the web or embedded in enterprise applications. It enables end users to consume reports with stunning visualizations, conduct on-report business modeling, and execute decisions instantly from the report itself—reducing dependency on IT and developers.
    The report can then be previewed on the screen, printed onto paper or exported to one of several different file formats such as PDF, Excel, text or CSV.
    It is also possible to run a Crystal Report without using the full Crystal Reports designer software. These alternate methods for running reports include locally installed viewers, schedulers, and report distribution tools. These are typically third-party software programs (independent of Business Objects) that allow you to open, refresh, preview, print and export an RPT file. In 2007 Business Objects released their own viewer, Crystal Reports Viewer XI, but unlike the independent viewers it does not allow the user to refresh the report, but only to view static data saved in the RPT file.
    Thnx,
    Srinivas

  • Create a Formatted report for a single record

    I am trying to create a report for a single record in a document format instead of row and column format
    For example to list a custome information with list of orders.
    CustomerID ---------------------        Name ------------------------------------
    Address 1 ----------------------         Address 2 ------------------------------
    City --------------------------------        State -------------------------------------
    Zip ---------------------------------
    Order List
    Order 1            Qty          Total Cost
    Order 2            Qty          Total Cost
    We dont have crystal reports setup yet.  I am trying to use report designer...but it is not allowing me to do it.  It creates different group for each row in the query.   Can any one suggest how to do it using report designer or another way in BI 7.0 to create this kind of document.   I want to be able to print this document as pdf or other types.
    Any help is greatly appreciated..
    Thanks

    you can do this both in a formatted report or bex, depending on what kind of an outcome that you are looking for.
    basically, you are first going to present the data in a tabular format and then move the cells around, so the next time you execute the report (analyzer or report designer) it will stay in that format.
    if you are doing it in report designer, first create a query that pulls all required data points and gives them to you in an output as a table.  Then, add that query as a data provider for the formatted report, and you can create additional cells and move the key figures around.  Report designer is a little crude for formatting, but it works
    if you are doing this in BEx Analyzer, then you can do the same thing: create a query and then use the BExGetData formula to pull the required data into required cells
    if you are looking for HIGHLY formatted report (for example you want the output to come out on forms, etc), then you would need to use the Crystal Reports.
    Regardless of what you use for the presentation of the data, the data generation is controlled by the Query itself.  This is one of the tools that SAP is not planning to take away: all the future presentation options will use the query as the data source.
    good luck

  • Use of Dowload Scheduler  , and Formatted  Reporting

    Hi friends,
       in  our Business Explorer  i can able to see  lot of  tools..along with Analyser and  Query Designer .. those are.. <b>Download Sceduler </b> and <b>Foramtted  Reporting</b>... and <b>Browser</b> ..
    can  any one   plz give me the brief idea.. abt those tools...
    helpful answers  will be rewarded....
    THANKS
    Babu

    HI,
    <b>Download scheduler</b> can be used to download a package - create a package for precalculation in the reporting agent and then open the same using the download scheduler and schedule the same...
    procedure:
    1. create a web template
    2. In report agent -Do setting for the web template
    3. schedule the setting in the package.
    4. the setting was for
    data calculation
    Excel sheets
    HTML pages
    Then check the preview, you will get data in it.
    5. run the package
    6. use download scheduler to create HTML pages and Excel workbooks
    BTW - download scheduler is taken away in NW2004s
    <b>Formatted reporting</b> is for producing a report in an exact format required by the user. For stringent formatting requirements (e.g., financial reports, government reporting, etc.), this usually implies the use of a reporting tool like Crystal Reports.
    <b> Bex Browser</b> makes it possible for you to access all document types of the Business Information Warehouse that are assigned to your role, or that you have stored in your favorites. In the BEx Browser, you can select and open the documents assigned to you, or store and manage new documents.
    The document types which you can work with in the BEx Browser are:
    BW workbooks
    Documents stored in the Business Document Served (BDS)
    Links (references to the file system, shortcuts)
    Links to Internet pages (URLs)
    SAP transaction calls.
    BW Web reports
    Hope this helps!!
    Regards,
    dhanya.

  • Delivering the crystal formated reports to users who are not defined BO/SAP

    Hi,
    The requirement is to send the crystal formatted report to number of users who are not in BO/SAP System. Can we use the whole dynamic contact list for automated personalization and distribution to people not set up as a user in the system?
    Can we deliver a publication to the users who are not at all defined in the BO system or any SAP system
    its to the users who are all together different vendors who do not have any login.
    Please let me know if this is possible via publication if possible could any one provide me any doc which states the same
    Thanks in Advance,

    Moved to BOE Admin forum.
    I assume you are using a BOE Scheduling options to distribute your reports?
    Check the Scheduling Guide and formats for more info.
    And yes simply send them a DPF file and set up a Group in your e-mail Server, or individual if that works better. More work though.

  • Multi format report using BI Analytics

    Hi,
    I would like to know if it is possible to design and build a multi format report (each format on a different page) using BI Analytics.
    For eg if i have to display a report containing performance details of a single portfolio belonging to a customer. So in terms of formats - first page may contain information like customer id, name, portfolio id,etc. There may also be some static text. Second page may contain aggregated information about the portfolio performance. And so on. Last page may have information in tabular format.
    can we have such multiiple formats in a single Analytics report ?
    Thanks
    Nusrat

    Hi,
    Is my undertsanding correct - I create a new dashboard and in that i add a new page for each section of the report.
    Thanks

    Do a verify of the disk.. A5 and the existing backup.
    Sometimes you need to wipe and start over.
    To delete existing sparsebundle see Q12 here.
    http://pondini.org/TM/FAQ.html
    Don't use wireless. To do large backups use ethernet with wireless turned off.
    I almost want to say don't use Mavericks.. but it is too late for that if you already upgraded.. Expect trouble with Mavericks.

  • Rename the Caption of Formatted Report.

    Hi,
    I am facing the problem on renaming the caption of one of my formatted reports.
    I can go to the design mode and select the particular caption, and change the caption in visual basic code.
    But after changing the caption in visual basic code and when i try to save the report, one critical error is coming as popup window & entire report is getting exit if i press 'ok' button in that popup window.
    Please let me know the solution for the same.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rgds,
    Sreenivas.

    This is exactly what I'm trying to do, but I can't get it working...
    I want it so that when I check a checkbox, the caption of *that checkbox* changes color.
    I'm trying this code, but it just changes the color of the actual check in the box, not the caption...
    form1.#subform[0].Table1[0].Row1[0].#subform[0].CheckBox1::change - (JavaScript, client)
    if (this.rawValue != 0) {
         this.caption.font.fill.color.value = "255,0,0";
    What am I doing wrong?

  • How to get pixel data in the format I want

    I'm writing a format plug-in and am having some difficulty getting the pixel data from photoshop in the format I want. From what I gather from the documentation in the SDK I need to specify the following to tell photoshop what format to deliver my pixels in:
    theRect
    loPlane
    hiPlane
    data
    colBytes
    rowBytes
    planeBytes
    planeMap
    I specify all of these appropriately for a 32 bit rgba8888 uncompresssed image and it works just fine... but ONLY if the image I load in the first place matches the format I am requesting. If the image I load is some other format, like a 256 color image with a palette, gFormatRecord->advanceState() just fails with a nebulous -30500 error code (formatBadParameters) instead of delivering pixel data.
    So my big question is this: Is Photoshop capable of doing the conversion and delivering the pixels to my format plug-in in my requested format? If it CAN do it, what might I be doing wrong? Please help! Thanks!!

    You noticed you can use the planeMap[] array to permute the channels. It's not so obvious that Photoshop should offer generalised bit depth/colour space/palette processing. It can be argued that's the role of the plugin itself: to mediate between Photoshop's native image data (which it does offer conveniently) and whatever arbitrary image format the user requires. At least, that's what most of
    my plugins do.
    Sure, there are a few obvious conversions, but you have to stop somewhere... Sooner or later you'll be implementing stuff on the Photoshop side that
    should be in a plugin. I don't have a big problem with the line drawn in the current API.

    In preferences set up your import settings, then right click on the tracks you need in a different format and use Create < Format> Version. New copies will be created in the target format.
