Formatting Dates - Please Help!!!

Hello to all you Java Gurus,
Just to give u a little background into my problem, i am a co owner of a company and have a large customer database (dunno why but the database is in excel at the minute), however the lady who inputs new customers has entered the wrong date format for the last few months so as you can imagine there are too many dates to go through individually and change to the correct format. Your probably thinking why don't i just highlight the dates - format cells and put it into the correct date format but don't worry i have tried that and it doesn't work, i was told about the powers of java being able to help me here and that this forum was very helpful so i have read some books and attempted to write some code in order to change the dates from this format 03 08 04 to 03-Aug-04 (dd-MMM-YY) but it doesnt really work - AT ALL, hehe!!
IS it possible if someone has code to do this or knows how to do this if they could help me, i will give the person who can solve what is probably an easy problem for you guys all my 25 dukes as i will probably never need to use Java or the forum again anyway

posting-behaviour before...? To be honest, the first
glance
here gave me the impression you wanted to get some
easy dukes.
OK. But you did the sensible thing and ignored the thread, whereas warneja wanted to make himself known as the super-sleuth or upholder of morality he clearly believes himself to be, and responded. In so doing he failed to consider the following possibilities:
1. It may just have been a real question and answer
2. I might have bought a house that needs renovation a couple of months ago, hence my absence from the forums
3. I might get bored with the idiots on the forum after a while a not visit for a couple of months until some terrible fascination draws me back
4. I might have a real job that pays me real money and takes up a lot of time
5. I might not actually give a hoot about Dukes
6. I might have a hobby, such as music composition, that takes up a great deal of my spare time and has engaged me more than the forums have recently
7. If I was going to engage in the dreadful crime I stand accused of, I might actually have asked a question about Java rather than Excel, given that it would take less imagination and would not be out of place in a Java forum
In short, I might actually have a life and not be a pathetic, small minded donkey whose greatest ambition is to earn Dukes and gain the respect of my fellow Equus Asini.
