Formatting img file outcomes

I am using Robohelp 7 HTML (Webhelp primary layout) to create a context sensitive help system.
When the context sensitive help opens it does so in one panel only so I need the "Home" link to open the complete help system in the twin panels.
I have edited the LNG file (in project settings) to change the wording for the 'back to home' wording so it now reads "Home=Complete Help". When I generate the output file everything is in order, when I click on the new wording it opens the twin panels and everything is perfect. Except the new wording on the single panel is one character (to the right) of the breadcrumb line that appears directly below it.
Is there anything I can do to get these two lines to line up? Can I change the layout/format of anything in relation to these two lines?

Thank you for the quick response but I am not sure what you first paragraph means?
Both 'breadcrumb' lines as far as I am concerned are generated when the files are generated? If I amend the LNG file I can make the first line disappear altogether, and I can amend the breadcrumb formatting (wording and position) when I generate the primary layout but beyond that, nothing else.
The first line is important because it opens the twin pans. Clicking 'Home' in the breadcrumbs does not do this, so both lines have a role.
So I am unclear what you mean by "Do you have breadcrumbs in a template and turned on in the layout?"

We are using 2 phase approach for migrating from XP to windows 8.1 U1 since we have Config manager 2012 R2. Its a refresh, replace and baremetal scneario
So 1st TS will just do user state backup using ADK8.0 USMT and backup the data on SMP.
2nd TS will format the system, install OS,install Apps and then restore USMT data from SMP
I am looking for some way to check the usmt data on SMP for the system before system is formatted. Can anyone give some pointers to do that in 2nd task sequence? I want if data (img file) is not verified, system should not format and TS should fail.

Do not use the option /c .
If an errors occur during the capture process, the ScanState command will not continue to run and the TS will fail.

Electricimage IMG file format ?

I have always relied heavily in the past on Aftereffects being able to render out to Electricimage IMG files.
I use these extensively for both still and animated 3D texture files.
Having upgraded to CS6 AE apparently no longer has this capability - it will import footage in the IMG format but there is no option to output to it.
I am hoping someone can tell me how to correct this please - is there a plugin or something that I need to purchase ?
I have asked the same question on the EIAS forum but as yet no info.

Thanks Todd - that may be because I've only recently upgraded from AE v 6 running on a G4 with another 11 cpus in a render farm - all of which have been running flawlessly for the last 10 years.
I use EIAS on just about every project I do - maybe no other AE users do ?
You see once upon a time in the dark and distant past people didn't specialise so much ... let's call them Renaissance men and women. They even had to use paint brushes ... as well as Rotrings ... and pencils ... and airbrushes with actual compressors ... and Rostrum cameras ... and even computers as well ... all on the same projects.
Turns out it's a good job I've hung onto the old G4 and the renderfarm ... I have just had to import an uncompressed movie from AE CS6 in order to export it in IMG format.

Need to convert to .img file

I have an image, currently in .bmp format, but can be changed to .jpg or .tiff. I need to convert it to .img. I'm running CS6 on a Mac.

Are you sure you don't mean img in the file name?
Some cameras create file name like: img001.jpg, img002.jpeg, etc.
Googling .img points to some type of image in AutoCAD?
I find it hard to believe that AutoCAD cannot work with .jpg or tiff.
.JPG is pretty universally accepted by all applications that deal with images.
Who is asking you for an image with the .img file extension and what are they planning to do with it, (use in what application)?

How to edit a movie from an .img file

Hi all!
I've got a movie in .img format. What I'd like to do is cut off ten seconds of the movie, but I don't know how to do it.
I've tried opening the file in Quicktime Pro (wouldn't open), iMovie (wouldn't open) VLC (opened just fine but couldn't edit it) and Ffmpeg (format not recognized) - so, no luck sofar.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Any suggestion would be appreciated!

To upload videos to YouTube we have to make sure videos are in a format that YouTube accepts. Here’s the list of some well-known video formats which YouTube supports:
WebM files (Vp8 video codec and Vorbis Audio codec)
MPEG4, 3GPP and MOV files – (typically supporting h264 and mpeg4 video codecs and AAC audio codec)
AVI (Many cameras output this format – typically the video codec is MJPEG and audio is PCM)
MPEGPS (Typically supporting MPEG2 video codec and MP2 audio)
WMV)
FLV (Adobe – FLV1 video codec, MP3 audio)
But I think you get the wrong video file. iPad recorded video files are in m4v, mp4, mov, avi format but not the img files. Anyway, if you need a video converter, Format factory or iFunia video converter are good choice.

How do I convert img file to VDI

I have downloaded a disk image of Google's Chromium OS (from developer Hexxeh made available at http://download-chromiumos.appspot.com/ I have the 64 bit version) both the files here are downloaded as .img files and Mac OS X says it cannot mount these files I get a warning no mountable file systems. I really need a VDI though I read there is a way to convert an img file in the Terminal to VDI (this is from 2009 though) you enter
VBoxManage convertfromraw -format VDI [filename with extension] [chromiumos]. [filename]vdi it says converting from raw image file but then immediately gives this error:
VBoxManage: error: Cannot open file "[chromiumos_image]": VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND
Anyone know how I can get this to work or where I can find a working VDI to download that is recent. I have Hexxeh's earlier Chrome OS build 4028 on his site chromeos.hexxeh.net working but it is from April of last year. Any ideas how to get this to work or where to find a working file. I have tried Arnoldthebat's VDI images from November-December 2013 and even newer but they don't work. I'm told since October 13, 2013 future builds of his don't work in VirtualBox. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any older builds available for download to his site. I can only get the November-December 2013 builds or newer 2014 builds.
FYI: My MacBook Pro is now on OS 10.9.2 Mavericks.

You can try placing the movie in the Move library of iTunes and selecting it and going to the Advanced tab of iTunes and selecting Create Ipod and iPhone version.
If tha does not work yu will need to use a conversion program like the free Handbrake program. Just Google for it.

IDVD creates a img file, how do I burn this into a video DVD?

I do not have a DVD drive on my mac, so I sent my img file to my pc, burnt it using Nero, and the result is a non-working video DVD.

I suspect you ended creating a DVD disc that wasn't in the proper UDF format when you burned with Nero.

Burning an img file?

can I use dvd SP4 to burn an image file? or do i need another program ?
is the img file the correct format for burning an image in a mac?

OS9 IMG files-lost data?

How many people have had problems using .IMG files (NDIF images) to transfer files from OS9 to OSX?
I've lost some important data because some of my .IMG files are apparently now missing their resource forks. I didn't realize that files in OS9 were PHYSICALLY SPLIT into two parts on the actual disk. Of course, the very idea of doing such a thing is beyond absurd. Yet, i never had any problems transferring files in the past, even when using e.g. PC-formatted Zip disks, because both parts of the file were always there! The error when i try to mount the images now in OSX is:
The following disk images failed to mount
[filename] not recognized
Nor can i take the files back to my OS9 machine and mount them anymore, to my horror.

Yes, i probably used a Windows-formatted USB drive to transfer the files. Could have been FAt32.
The problem is, when you see a file (icon) e.g. on your Mac OS9 hard drive, and you copy it to a USB (flash) drive, and it shows up there, and then you open it from there (to make sure it copied okay), and it appears fine, the idea of there being an associated *invisible* file is totally inconceivable. It's insane that anyone would write a computer operating system that places *crucial* parts of a single file IN ANOTHER, *INVISIBLE* FILE. Yet, that seems to be what's going on here.
So, you copy that file (apparently) off to your other computer (OSX machine in this case), and assume everything is fine. Then some months later, you try to open (or mount) that file, on your OSX machine, and it doesn't work.
Is this data (in the .IMG) recoverable..? The .IMG image is of course an image file containing lots and lots of other, smaller files.

Conversion of img file to video file

I have a text file .I have to assign back ground for it and make it a img file .
for that image file i have to attach a audio file and make it a video file.
when i open this video file i should see the text file as image file
and could hear the music in background.

Upgraded from E8 to E10 cannot access img files

Have been looking all over the net for 5 days now trying to find a answer to my question   Adobe help in India simply could not get me from A to B.
The sites I have been reviewing, have solutions at the software level, talking in computer language which means nothing to me. I am not a computer expert at any level other than at the keyboard level, in other words, just a computer user.
My E10 organizer has all of the thumb nails.   However, All photos taken in a vertical format, have yellow question marks. All but a very small number of Photos taken in the horzontal format do not have a ? mark. I cannot reconnect to any of img files.
All of my photo image/files are on a external drive E: Nothing on (photowise) on C: .   All of my attempts to reconnect have failed?
Can some one give me simple sttep by step instruction on how I can reconnect?

Everything appears to have reconnected.............except all photos shot in the vertical position have not reconnected and have yellow question marks.   A very few photos in the horzontal format have the same problem.
I followed your instruction with directing to the E drive to reconnect and everything except the above seems to have hooked out (I have about 3000 photo files) but what has caused the above and how do I reconnect with those?
There is something around 450 files affected
Also the reconnect window.......I really don't understant how to use the darn thing.   There is the left side and the right side neither of which seems to interact with the other.   Can you direct me to an instruction page on how to use the window.?

Formatting the file

I have a question, need to format the file that I generate through the logical file path. i.e., The file has the data for various field values, however I need get the field names displayed at the start of the file.
I did something like this

then loop through the internal table that had data for these fields and stored the data

APPEND ITAB.
CLEAR ITAB.
DESCRIBE TABLE ITAB LINES COUNTK.
IF COUNTK GT 0.
SORT ITAB BY SSN.
CALL FUNCTION 'FILE_GET_NAME'
   EXPORTING
      LOGICAL_FILENAME = 'EFGH'
    WITH_FILE_EXTENSION = 'X'
   IMPORTING
      FILE_NAME = FNAME.
OPEN DATASET FNAME FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE MESSAGE msg.
IF sy-subrc <> 0.

The file is getting generated with the values first and then the text and I want the other way around. How can i do that?

The SORT statement is definitly causing your problem, but if you want to sort by SSN in the file, then you must add the field names after the fact.
* Add detail records

Fixed format data file output

Does anyone know how to generate fixed format text file? I have few fields in the select which are null and hence messes up the file format, as space does not take up same amount of character width than any alphabets.
Basically I want to generate fixed length data file which is scheduled through DBMS_JOBS. I am using UTL_FILE utility.
Every suggestion are welcome

hello,
using spaces as filler is sufficient. a space takes up the same room (one character) as any other letter in the alphabet.
if you look at the output in any word-processing tool or editor, that uses fonts like times, helvetica, arial, etc. those fonts are rendering the space-character smaller. in fact they are rendering each letter different. if you want to see what your output looks like, choose a font like courier.
if you just generate the file and then process it further, you should be OK. don't let you be fooled by what you see in your editor.
