Formatting is messed up

hi all, suddenly, all my numbers worksheets has been messed up, formatting is wrong, and there are a lot of A letters on the screen, where there used to be text, some big + signs have appeared, and some text has some weird formatting.
i think this happened after installation office 2011 for mac, and cant seem to find out where my settings has gone wrong, i have uninstalled office 2011 for mac again, since i dont wanna use it anyway.
but i need to have my numbers files to be ok again, i have posted a screendump at http://www.sundbynet.dk/screendump.png
if anyone would like to see what i mean, and i hope that someone can help me fix it.

If badunit is right, you must track the fonts installed by Office and disable them.
If the problem disappear when every M…soft are disabled, try to re-activate them by small chiunks so it will be easy to identify the culprit(s).

Why pay $22 for a product that does not work?
Can this situation be remedied; how can I make it work?

The only thing that comes close is ExportPDF at $19.99 (with tax that could be about right) but it's an online subscription.
If that turns out to be what you have you'll want to take this to the ExportPDF forum rather than here.
    It's at http://forums.adobe.com/community/exportpdf
    Good luck.

  • Ms word formatting all messed up in Pages

    Hi all.
I am using the iPad2 with Pages to edit and print from my iPad.
I am typically opening email attachments in this case an MS Word document only to find that the formatting is all messed up.
This is not restricted to this one document, but many.
Anyone know what I can do about this ?
I would have attached an example but cannot find a way of adding an attachment here for you to look at.

  • [Solved] Opening a txt file in different editors, format issue

I wasn't sure where to put this, sorry if this is the wrong place.
This is what's bothering me: I made a text file (.txt) with Vim containing some brief info about it (itself?) to print and have at hand for learning while using it. Then I opened it in Geany to print it, and all the formatting where screwed up (I used tab to format it). For example there were spaces before the tabs, or extra tabs added.
Then I fixed the text I pasted in Geany, printed it and again the formatting where messed up, this time in the printed copy, although the text in the screen looked alright. I tried to print with Terminus, Clean, Dejavu Sans Mono and Monospace fonts. After that I did the same in Google Docs, with the very same results.
What's going on? I mean, why what is printed is different from what I see in the screen? And why when I create a file with A program and open it with B program the formatting is messed up? What should I use to print regular text? I don't like OOs
    Thanks

    in .vimrc
    set expandtab

replace 4 with any number of spaces you'd like.

  • How to find a word with different font format (e.g. italic and regular in one word)

    Hi people,
I need to find a word, prefferably using GREP or simple Find/Replace tool.
Sometimes, when I get source text to paste into InDesign, some word's format is messed up. First letter is italic and rest is regular or otherwise (or any other font format). How can I find such words automatically. For example:

    Hi,
If I had to do that, using Multi-Find/Change, I would play it like:
With MFC, I create a set of the 2 regex. So, one click to fix your problem.

I have tried the following and still is of no use:

Any help to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

  • New pages made From Template messed up!

    Hello,
I have made a template that is not yet finished... I decided
to test it out, but when I make new pages from it, the formatting
is messed up (in any new pages that I create from the template).
This of course is happening prior to uploading to the pages... (I
need to make many different pages from the template but cannot
    proceed because of this...)
If I preview the new ‘messed up’ page in Safari
(that is by clicking the Preview button in Dreamweaver itself), it
is almost OK, but the background image does not show up. Could
anyone suggest what I might need to do to get the ‘new’
page to appear fine in Dreamweaver itself.
I am new to Dreamweaver and have just started with it since
    moving from GoLive...
    Thanks in advance.

If it would be considered a bug, then many programs would
    have it! As a
general rule of thumb, it's best to avoid any characters in
    your
file/pathnames other than letters, numbers, and
    hyphens/underscores. That
would eliminate spaces, quotes, ampersands, parentheses, etc.

It should appear, so there must be something wrong in the
    resulting code.
    Can we see it?

  • Syntax check and auto-format disagree

Flash 8 Pro: Well, I'm coding along quite nicely and decide
to auto-format. Auto-format says the code has errors, the syntax
check says there are none. I can run my code (though it's not doing
what I want) without getting an error.
Are there specific scenarios that cause the syntax check and
    auto-format to disagree?
In just about every other development tool I've used, it will
auto format regardless of errors, even if the formatting is messed
up. it's a good aid to highlighting syntax errors! Why can't flash
    do the same?
    Thanks,
    Paul

Well, after commenting out lots of code until the error went
away and then removing the comments and making some tweaks, the
    problem has gone away..

  • Touchup text tool causing formatting issue

We upgraded from Acrobat 8 Pro to 9 Pro and now when we try to use the touchup text tool the formatting gets messed up when you save.  It usually puts in extra spaces and pushes letters on top of each other.  Same document works fine if using the touchup text tool in version 8.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have also been getting formatting issues when simply trying to correct a typo (swapping two characters). After selecting the TouchUp text tool, I hightlight and copy a character, and paste it into the correct location. The entire line moves down a couple of points.
I tried CtDave's suggestion: Acrobat Prefernces > select the TouchUp Category
Toogle "Enable Text Word Wrapping" on/off - try use of the TouchUp Text tool in each 'mode'.
With Enable Text Word Wrapping, all kinds of unwanted word-wrap formatting takes place. But on unchecking Enable Text Word Wrapping, the TouchUp text problems seem to disappear.
This is an odd effect, and suggests a bug. Enabling and disabling the Text Word Wrapping option seems to fix the issue.
Looking at the issue in more detail, I notice that by pasted text has additional white space above and below it, which other characters do not have.

  • Formatting HTML in DWCS3 for Print Output

    MacOS 10.5.1
    DW CS3
I am creating a calendar page with just a single week for a

make them larger. Consequently, when printing, the formatting is

  • 3Gs on iOS4.0.1, home screen spacing all messed up

Has anyone seen this? Even before I installed my jailbreak apps, the screen formatting was messed up. There is nearly no spacing between the first row apps names and the app icons on the second row. This goes all the way down, and leaves about an inch of space BELOW the dock bar (and thus it is no longer my DOCK bar) and the bottom of the screen. Also, the spacing between the home screen dots and bottom line of the apps names on line 4 and the dock screen is almost non-existent.
    AGGGh

If other apps slow to a crawl and even phone use and keyboard entry gets erratic, double click the home button, tap and hold on one of the icons now revealed in multitasking mode until they jiggle. Then close the apps one by one to free up memory.
This is a kludge caused by the apps not cleaning up after themselves, and I dislike having do it multiple times a day, but without it I would waste even more time bringing the device back to Apple for a permanent fix. One can only hope.
Currently raging mad at Apple iOS4.02 for breaking the iPod playback of the 3GS via AV amp (Pioneer VSX-23TXH in U.S.). Trust totally lost. Never "upgrade" without a way back. Jailbreak suddenly looks desirable.
Just yesterday wife bought an iPad for me, still unopened. Feel like returning it as-is in the box and wait for the German designed WeTab (started as WePad earlier).

  • Keeping published RSS from expanding and thereby mess up the fomatting

I've published an RSS feed at
    http://comprehensivecolumbia.com/RSStest.php
that pretty well does what i want it to do. but, if an article
comes through the RSS feed that has a link in it that is wider than
the box on this page, the box expands and the formatting gets
messed up. I'm looking for a way to set the width of this published
RSS feed in a manner that will prevent this from happening. i've
tried establishing the width of this RSS feed a number of different
ways, and none of them has resolved this problem. i suspect i have
to establish the correct setting in the css file associated with
the xsl file that contains the RSS info for the php page that is at
the location of the link i've pasted above. i've tried absolutely
everything i can think of and would seriously appreciate some good
    guidance.

It's because when you copied the first 'item' to make the second one you didn't alter the 'guid' tag. iTunes uses this tag to confirm that an episode is new, and so it must be unique. It doesn't matter what it is - people often use the URL for the episode, but it could just as well be a number, as long as it's different in every episode. If there are two the same, iTunes ignores the second one.
Incidentally, you're evidently using an 'enhanced podcast' feed as a template: you need to change the 'type' attribute within the 'enclosure' tags to type="audio/mpeg".
If you have a query in future it's better to publish the URL of the feed, rather than its contents: this particular issue was simple, but quite often it's easier to diagnose problems if one can examine the feed in its proper context.

  • What is the best proxy format to use when working with S-Log in a linear colourspace?

I have been working with some Sony F55 footage shot against a green screen. I am working in a 16bit s-rbg colourspace
I made proxies out of the source which were photo-jpeg movs, nice n fast.
However it is clamped the colour values in the proxy with what looks like an s-curve which has subsequently made my keying settings significantly different (i.e far more contrasty) when switching between proxy and original.
So what would be the best way to go about converting some log-s footage to a fast proxy format without messing with key effects parameters by such a troublesome amount. I can live with a small difference of course.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Dave,
I appreciate the quick response. It is sensible advice.
Do you have any suggestions (when i do use proxies for log-c/s footage in general) for a decent format?
Would applying a linear output profile adjustment layer make a difference to a lesser format? Or do compressed formats bypass output profiles?
I only ask as I do a lot more compositing with linear footage these days and my machine struggles when it goes into a deep composite

  • Formatting issues in sharepoint 2013 when copy/paste from word document

    Hi,
When we copy/paste content(rich text, tables, styles) from a word document to SharePoint site whole formatting is messed up.
is this the limitation of SharePoint 2013?
    Thanks,
    Shiva.

    Hi Shiva,
Some styles for font of rich text aren't be kept when I copy the content from Word 2013 and paste into a wiki page from SharePoint 2010/2013(even SharePoint 2007 like this
post) site as same as yours, it looks like a limitation.
As a workaround, we can publish the Word content as a Blog article in SharePoint site, then copy the content from the blog page to the needed SharePoint page, it will keep the rich text content format, you can have a try.
