Formatting itunes on my PC after having done my initial set up on MAC

I purchased a new video ipod in a hurry b4 a recent trip so i could have video in The airport.in my haste it seemed easier to go to girlfriend's mac and purchase the video's and download them to ipod. while i was there i downloaded her music library which is all music she purchased. now when i went tO my pc to add to that thru itunes i find that i have to wipe and start over. i have been told there is a way to go back to her computer and certify my pc as one of 5 allowed for that ipod as originally formatted. i want to be able to at least keep the video's i paid for.HELP!!!

There is no limit to the number of computers an iPod
can be connected to. The limit if 5 you are mixing
this up with is the number of computers that can be
authorised to play iTunes purchases: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and

Your problem stems from the fact that and iPod
formatted for Mac won't run natively on a PC because
the Windows OS does not support the HFS Plus file
system and therefore will not see the drive. Macs can
read Windows drives so you could restore and format
the iPod on your PC and then get the video off the

thanks. oddly enough the trip I went on was to Ireland.Dubln for 4days, then a family reunion down by Kilkenny and then off to the west coast for a week(Doolin).

So it sounds like you think I will be able to take those videos off the MAC if I reformat my ipod to PC format. Is that because I already purchased them? Will I be able to get the music library too? None of it is downloaded. It was all copied from CD's

If you can't access the App Store from the Apple menu, Dock, or Applications folder installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you.
It's ok to do this even you are already running v10.6.8.

FYI: Some third party software can cause issues with the App Store > Mac App Store: Sign in sheet does not appear, or does not accept typed text

I can not unlock after having done an upgrade to the 7.1 system. The previous pin does not work, and I spent 9 attempts!!
The screen says to write "blackberry", should I do it?
How can I reset to have more attempts?

Can you confirm if you're having problem with your BlackBerry ID passwod or the Password that set yourself on your device ?
If you're asking on how to reset the device password that a user set on his device then the answer is NO . No one can bypass the device password , you have to remember and enter the correct password that you set , otherwise after 10 wrong attempts ( By default ) your device will initiate a wipe process , it will delete all user data from that device . Then you have to start all over again after a wipe and your device will be like new as you got it for the first time.
So please take your time and enter the correct password .
Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.
If Problem Resolves mark the post(s) as " Solution ", so that other can make use of it.

How can I continue to use iTunes with my iPhone if I don't have a 64 bit mac mini?

Frustrated, Dissappointed, Forgotten are my new icons, of late. Why does Apple think we can be stepped over and trampled under foot with mandatory downloads for iTunes 10.4 which disrupts any normal function to access my iphone because the intel Core Duo 1.66 GHZ mac mini can't have 64 bit upgrade.
Plus their Support Download insists on forcing the Lion version on customers holding on to similar model units. While all the buying is going on because of hype and swipe. Now with iTunes 10.4 no iphone appears on the left sidebar which means it doesn't belong on my system. Disfunctional Software! What's the answer how I can obtain only the June level of iTunes which iTunes 10.3.1? And how to keep the system from wanting to update it?

After installing Mavericks stuck on Setting up Your Mac after restart

After installing Mavericks which was extremely slow a number of software applications also had updates. All of this took more than a day. After that my login was slow but everything worked.
The other user's log in got stuck on Setting up your Mac. Then I made mistake of going in under my own log in and changing start-up to go automatically to the other user automatically. Now I can't log myself in anymore and I am totally hung up now on Setting Up Your Mac without any access.

I can't install or uninstall itunes. Says the iTunes.msi file is not a valid file. My iTunes started acting odd after having the Windows XP virus. I got ride of the virus, but then the repercussion of having it have wrecked havoc.

An error pops up saying that the file isn't found and then when I link it to the file, the error says it isn't a valid itunes.msi file. I had iTunes on my PC but it won't work properly so I am trying to re-install or update it. Neither works.

So I tried installing it and when I did it stopped at a certain point, giving me a message about "not being able to write to the file C:\ProgramFiles\iTunes\ iTunes.Resources\fr.lproj\ipodsettings.nib\objects.xib"
problems with language resource files and folders (i believe that's one of the French ones that you're having a problem with) are often produced by disk damage around the areas of the files in question.
so perhaps let's try running a chkdsk over your C drive. see:

does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? if so, does the uninstall or reinstall go through any better afterwards?

I just updated to the new iMovie. Then I imported a new movie from my camera. However that new movie does not paperer in my iMovie events file in finder like all my other events used to do from before the update. Where is it now?

No, iMovie 10 no longer uses the iMovie Events and imovie Projects folders though they are left intact in case you want to continue to use imovie 9. imovie 10 creates a package with the extension /imovielibrary. If you select it and right/control click Show Package contents you will find your clips inside along with everything else.
If you update your iMovie 9 projects they will be copied to a new iMovie 10 library.

I now find that I cannot turn on Location Services as there is response to the setting. Have done restore to no avail ...and seems to be set to a permanent OFF....

There is an error when I want to reinstall the applications that came with my mac (after having reinstalled the Mac OS X DVD). What can I do?

I erased my hard disk and then installed the Mac OS X DVD. After having done this I wanted to install the applications too, for which I introduced the Applications DVD. The DVD is recognized and I follow the instructions given. On the last step, the installation, the Installer shows me a Message. It says that there is an error, and that I should contact the Software developer. It is very weird, because there is no error number or any other explanation. If somebody could help, I would be enormously thankful.

If you have a backup (and I hope you did one as before any potentially dangerous task), you can restore it.
If you don't, but have a recent system, you may try to boot in recovery mode.
If you can't, you have to get another computer (or simply your Windows Mac) to "burn" your system image either on a DVD or a flashdisk (.dmg are just .iso so you can change suffix).
Anyway, each and every data you had on you HDD, including 3rd party apps, would be lost.

After factory reset, can't set up Airport Extreme!

Hello all!
American living in germany here. I am using a PowerBook G4 running OS 10.4.11
I am using an Airport Extreme Station with a Siemens Router. I couldn't get my iphone to work wirelessly via Airport, so I decided to do a factory reset. Now after having done that, my Airport Setup Assistant recognizes my Airport but after clicking continue to proceed, I always get the message that it is unable to find the base station.
I should add that my internet stopped working about two weeks ago. I thought it might be my system software so I reinstalled that on my Mac. Turns out it was my ADSL box so my phone company sent me a new one. I did get my Airport to work with my old settings and the new box....but after this factory reset, my computer can't communicate with it.
Help please....I need to be wireless again! Now I am on the internet via an ethernet cable.

After having replaced the iMac hard drive I no longer can make iTunes security backups from my iPhone 4S?

After having had my iMac's hard drive replaced (had a defect 1 TB Seagate) and the 10.8.2 reinstalled, I no longer can make security backups from my iPhone 4S. iTunes simply tells me that the backup cannot be saved on my computer (which it has done numerous times prior the replacement of the hard drive). Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Click the green jelly button at top left of iTunes window to resize the screen to fit.
