I have an application running and on windows and its is working fine with IE. but when i try to run the application of sun solaris 10 sparc machine with Mozilla 1.7 i get this error.
What can be the reason and if any body has solved this issue ? please guide me .
URGENT

I wouldn't say you made a "mistake". It might be a custom build, but Firefox never had a 1.7 version; skipped from 1.5 to 2.0 in release version numbering.
The old Mozilla Application Suite had 1.7 as its' last version produced; ended with 1.7.13 in April 2006. That's why I equate "Mozilla web browser (1.7)" with the old Mozilla Suite and not with Firefox.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Application_Suite
Whatever the case, no one should be using a web browser that was produced back in 2006 on the internet in 2014. If that is used completely on an internal intranet, you shouldn't have a problem; beyond finding support for an old version like that.

  • Batch procedure in Forms 10g, calling rdf and send by mail

    Hi all,
    I need your advice regarding my task: i have a table with invoices of some clients. I have created a report in Oracle Reports 10g R2, so to have a pdf with all the data from this table.
    I have created a form in Forms 10g R2, displaying in a screen one field, where the user can choose the date of invoice. Then i will query by that date all my invoices in that table, and then i want to create a procedure in Forms, so that for every line in that table with the invoice date just chosen i will run HOST(rwrun ... all my parameters).
    My questions:
    1. I need to read some more about how to create a custom xml so to pass to my rwrun, and depending on the records fetched in my cursors in Forms 10g, i will pass a xml variable to my reports, so i will get the data from Forms 10g in the report created in Oracle Reports 10g. Is there any way that i can grep the errors? I need to create some insertions based on succes on failure, how can i accomplish this?
    2. Is the above described scenario way to complicated to loop throuh a cursor, create a pdf, and mail the pdf until the cursor is totally fetched? Do you recommend me a simpler way to accomplish this task?
    Thank you so much,
    Michael.

    Hello,
    I have a report with all my clients, with their email addresses in the same report. Each client as unique account number or invoice number.
    So i want to burst and distribute each invoice to the corresponding client:
    1. I have set REPEAT ON: INVOICE in oracle reports.
    2. From Oracle Reports, i click on Distribution list, and in the DESNAME i type email_address (which is the column from the table with the invoices).
    3. Then, File >> Distribute. Says: distribution completed succesfully, but nothing happens.
    Question:
    1. Where am i mistaking?
    2. Is there any log activity file that i could see what the application is doing, step by step?
    Thank you,
    Michael

    Thanks for your help.

    You should have no problems if both are using Sun's Java Runtime enviroment. I believe there are some problems with Microsofts implementation of Java, but I don't know exactly what.

  • Best practice Forms 10g configuration setup and tuning

    Hi,
    We are currently depolying forms 10g from 6i client/server version. Users are experiencing Form hangups and hour glasses. This does not happen that often but can happen any time, anywhere in the app (users do inserts, updates and deletes and queries).
    Is there a baseline best practice configuration setup anywhere either in the Forms side or the AppServer side of things?
    Here is our setup:
    Forms 10g (9.0.4)
    Reports 10g (9.0.4)
    Oracle AppServer 10g (9.0.4)
    OS = RedHat Linux
    Client Workstations run on Windows 2000 and XP w/ Internet Explorer 6 or higher
    Average No. of users = 250
    Thanks for all your help

    Shutdown applications within the guest.
    Either power off from Oracle VM Manager or 'xm shutdown xxx' from the command line
    It is possible one or more files could be open when the shutdown is initiated.
    Have found at least one case of misconfigured IP which would have resulted in the disk access being via the 'Front End' interface rather than the Back End.
    Thanks

  • Oracle forms 10g,multiple insert and update problem

    Hi,
    I have tabular form(4 records displayed) with one datablock(based on a view).
    After querying the form could not update all the records but only first record value can select from LOV.
    I called a procedure in in-insert and on-update
    The query is lik this
    PACKAGE BODY MAPPING IS
         PROCEDURE INSERT_ROW(EVENT_NAME IN VARCHAR2)
         IS
         BEGIN
              IF (EVENT_NAME = 'ON-INSERT') THEN
                   INSERT INTO XX_REC_MAPPING
                   (BRANCH_CODE,COLLECTION_ID,PAY_MODE_ID,RECEIPT_METHOD,CREATED_BY,
                   CREATION_DATE,LAST_UPDATED_BY,LAST_UPDATE_DATE,LAST_UPDATE_LOGIN)
                   VALUES
                   (     :XX_REC_MAPPING.OFFICE_CODE,
                        :XX_REC_MAPPING.COLLECTION_ID,
                        :XX_REC_MAPPING.PAY_MODE_ID,
                        :XX_REC_MAPPING.RECEIPT_METHOD,
                        :XX_REC_MAPPING.CREATED_BY,
                        :XX_REC_MAPPING.CREATION_DATE,
                        :XX_REC_MAPPING.LAST_UPDATED_BY,
                        :XX_REC_MAPPING.LAST_UPDATE_DATE,
                        :XX_REC_MAPPING.LAST_UPDATE_LOGIN);
              ELSIF (EVENT_NAME = 'ON-UPDATE') THEN
              UPDATE     XX_REC_MAPPING
              SET BRANCH_CODE=:XX_REC_MAPPING.OFFICE_CODE,
                        COLLECTION_ID=:XX_REC_MAPPING.COLLECTION_ID,
                        PAY_MODE_ID=:XX_REC_MAPPING.PAY_MODE_ID,
                        RECEIPT_METHOD=:XX_REC_MAPPING.RECEIPT_METHOD,
                        LAST_UPDATED_BY=:XX_REC_MAPPING.LAST_UPDATED_BY,
                        LAST_UPDATE_DATE=:XX_REC_MAPPING.LAST_UPDATE_DATE,
                        LAST_UPDATE_LOGIN=:XX_REC_MAPPING.LAST_UPDATE_LOGIN
                        WHERE ROWID=:XX_REC_MAPPING.ROW_ID;
              END IF;
         END INSERT_ROW;
    END MAPPING;
    Whether the table gets looked or sholud i use some other trigger or loops ?
    someone suggest me how to edit this query for multiple update.
    Thanks
    sat33

    I called a procedure in in-insert and on-updateWhy are you writing this code in the first place? If you have a block based on an updatable view, just let Forms do the inserts and updates.
    If it's not an updatable view, use instead of triggers on the view.
    See this current thread too:

  • CF Set form.variable for query and Next/Previous pages error

    I have a CF form with a select that posts to a CF "action" page.
    On the action page I: CFSET ItemNumber=#form.ItemNumber#
    I CFOUTPUT the 'ItemNumber' into the CFQUERY (which is an Inner Join dependant on the '#ItemNumber#')...
    All of the above works just fine and displays the database fields in color alternating rows, per the rest of the code.
    Here's the problem:
    I'm displaying 40 rows on a page per "Next and Previous" code. (CFPARAM name="start" default="1" and CFPARAM name="disp" default="40" along with the rest of the NextN code in the header and body). This does display 40 rows on the page and puts a link at the bottom of the page "Next 40 Rows", etc.
    Note: I'm only querying the database once and using the query (query name="data") to populate the table rows And the NextN code (CFOUTPUT name="data") And (CFIF start + disp GREATER THAN data.RecordCount, etc)...
    The problem happens when you click the "Next 40 Rows" link to display the 2nd page of rows. Since (I'm assuming) this NextN code is 're-reading' the same page from top to bottom, an error is thrown when the code tries to read the CFSET ItemNumber=#form.ItemNumber# at the top of the page.
    With the #form.ItemNumber# on this action page Originally coming from the previous posting of the form to this action page, when the "Next 40 Rows" link is clicked and the NextN code re-reads this action page - the CFSET ItemNumber (#form.ItemNumber) is not getting populated and throws the error...
    I hope I've not made this sound confusing.
    I can get the NextN code to work when I'm just querying the database without "flying in" a form variable. But when I CFSET a variable (#form.ItemNumber#) that is inserted into the query, the second page of the NextN throws an error and doesn't display.
    I would include the page code here but it would be fairly lengthy and, as well, the NextN code is a 'standard' CF code -- I've narrowed the problem down to the above "Element is undefined" (when the page tries to reload from the "Next 40 Rows" link) and am hoping there's a simple fix or another way to display the records in Next and Previous pages.
    Thanks to anyone in advance for shedding light on this.
    - e

    Thank you for the reply, Owain.
    Yes - The Next/Previous at the bottom of the page are hyperlinks.
    <a href="ThisPage.cfm?start=#Evaluate("start + disp")#">
    The following is at the top of the page (and is the variable from the form that I CFOUTPUT in the query):
    <cfparam name="ItemNumberDropdown01" default="">
    <cfset ItemNumber = #form.ItemNumberDropdown01#>
    The error report showed that the "Next Page" hyperlink was reading an undefined variable... although when the "action page" first opens from the form posting to it, it populates the CFSET just fine (per the cfparam and cfset above)... As you mention, the hyperlink clearing the form scope is what causes the error in trying to display the next set of records...
    The form page and the 'action page' are both secure pages with an application page setting the session, etc. Am I at risk in using an URL scope?
    Where would this URL scope be put? (The href is shown above - would the URL scope go in this? - How would this be written?)
    The CFPARAM and CFSET would still exist at the top of the 'action page' and still throw an error wouldn't it or would this be replaced with something else to read the form.variable for this 'first' action page to be displayed?
    Thanks again for the 'education' on this...

  • WLS 10.3.0.0 Solaris SPARC and DBMS Oracle 10gR2 connection pooling issue

    Hi all,
    we are currently testing Weblogic Server 10.3.0.0 in order to migrate our production system from WLS 8.1 to it.
    While testing the new setup, we encountered some strange behaviour of the connection pooling within WLS.
    We configured a XA-Connection pool to our DB (Oracle 10gR2) by using
    a) the Oracle XA-thin-driver delivered within WLS 10.3.0.0
    and alternatively
    b) the Oracle 11.2.0.2 OCI-driver of the Oracle 11g database client.
    We´ve got the same issue with both variants. We defined an initial capacity of 5 connections and a maximum capacity of 30 connections.
    Our application is running flawlessly using the connection pool, but the amount of active sessions between the application server and the database server is increasing rapidly and the maximum capacity is exceeded. We are seeing up to multiple hundreds of sessions from the application server to our database server. Obviously the connections aren´t cleaned up.
    We are using the following settings for the JDBC-Connection:
    initial capacity = 5
    max. capacity = 30
    Capacity increment = 1
    Statement cache type = LRU
    Statement cache size = 10
    Test connections on reserve = true
    Test frequency = 120
    Test table name = "sql select 1 from dual"
    seconds to trust an idle pool connection = 10
    shrink frequency = 0
    connecttion creation retry frequency = 120
    login delay = 0
    incative connection timeout = 10
    max. waiting for connection = 2147483647
    connection reserve timeout= = -1
    Ignare in-use connections = true
    pinned-to-thread = false
    remoce infected connections enabled = true
    Does anyone have an idea how to track/solve this issue?
    Kind regards
    Marc

    Hi Joe,
    we´ve tested with the thin driver using an initial capacity of 5 and a maximum capacity of 15. During our tests (in a very short time period) the maximum capacity has not been exceeded. But we saw some exceptions in the managed server logfile which made us curious.
    When these exceptions are occuring, a new connection to the database server is established. We are seeing for a short time a total count of 6 connections which is immediately decreasing to the initial capacity of 5. We will do some further testing over the next hours and monitor the connection usage.
    The connection we are dealing with is the one called "ZDB2".
    This is an excerpt of the logfile:

  • When trying to compile forms in solaris machine, frmcmp.sh not found error

    Hi
    I want to compile my forms using frmcmp.sh in a solaris machine
    When I try to execute
    /u15/10gAs/bin/frmcmp.sh /u15/10gAs/forms/form1.fmb user/pass@database
    it throws me error that frmcmp.sh is not found
    it is searching in the whatever path set in ORACLE_HOME
    could you please tell me what should I do now?
    regards

    The following is just a SAMPLE and you may not need all of them and you will have to modify the paths to match your system.
    ########## Oracle Variables ##########
    echo " Welcome to oracle";
    ORACLE_BASE=/u01/app/oracle
    ORACLE_OWNER=oracle; export ORACLE_OWNER
    ORACLE_TERM=xterm; export ORACLE_TERM
    ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/9.2.0.1.0
    ORACLE_SID=ORTD
    LD_PRELOAD=$HOME/libcwait.so
    export DISPLAY=172.28.66.39:0.0
    PATH=$PATH:$ORACLE_HOME/bin
    LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$ORACLE_HOME/lib:$ORACLE_HOME/network/lib
    CLASSPATH=$ORACLE_HOME/JRE:$ORACLE_HOME/jlib:$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/jlib
    export CLASSPATH
    LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1; export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL
    THREADS_FLAG=native; export THREADS_FLAG
    TMP=/tmp; export TMP
    TMPDIR=$TMP; export TMPDIR
    export PATH ORACLE_BASE ORACLE_HOME ORACLE_SID LD_LIBRARY_PATH LD_PRELOAD
    ########## End of Oracle variables ##########I recommend you dig through the installation manual for the version of Oracle you have installed and setup your profile settings based on your installation. If you still need help after that, you might want to post your question in the Database Installation forum. Once you have your environment setup, you should be able to compile your form(s).
    Hope this helps,
    Craig

  • I sign in iclouds  by apple id and pass word .the error say it is apple ud and not icloud  how to sign in for iclouds

    I have downloaded apple store and iclouds when I try to ope iclouds it askes for  user id an pass word . I enter my aple ID and pass word  the message appears that this is your apple account and not icloud . will you tell me how to create icloud  account

    As I already said, you have to create an iCloud account on an iOS device or Mac.  If you don't have one, you can't create and iCloud account. Apple states this on the page you downloaded the iCloud control panel from (iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows), where it says:
    "Note: To create an iCloud account you need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later, or a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later."

  • W2100z Supplemental 2.5 XpReburn produces non-bootable ISO in Solaris Sparc

    Just posting in case helps someone else...
    The XpReburn script from the W2100z Supplemental 2.5 CD is commented as being able to run on Solaris Sparc:
    # This script was developed on Solaris X86. It will run on Solaris Sparc
    # and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3. It is not guaranteed to work unmodified
    # accross all versions of Linux. This script is experimental. Some end user
    # MODIFICations may be necessary for it to run on other linux distributions
    # and system configurations.Running XpReburn under Solaris Sparc 10 produced an .ISO image apparently without error, but the resulting image would not boot.
    Found the cause of the non-bootable image was the following section of XpReburn. It was using dd and od to extract 16-bit LBA values. On Solaris Sparc it ended up reading little-endian values as big-endian, hence extracting the boot loader from the wrong part of the XP CD. To get it to work under Solaris Sparc added conv=swab twice as shown below:
    # Read the boot loader from the CD into the image directory as a file. This process takes
    # several steps because the boot record has to be consulted to locate the RBA (the
    # starting LBA of the boot catalog). The boot record always resides at LBA 17
    ${ECHO} "Reading WinXP Boot Loader from CD..."
    ${ECHO} "  Looking up boot catalog lba from boot record..."
    ${DD} if=$CD_DEVICE bs=2048 count=1 skip=17 | ${DD} bs=71 skip=1 count=1 | ${DD} conv=swab bs=4 count=1 of=$SCRIPTDIR/foo
    BOOTCATLBA=`od -d $SCRIPTDIR/foo | ${AWK} '{print $2}'`
    ${ECHO} "  Boot Catalog is at LBA $BOOTCATLBA, looking up boot image LBA..."
    ${DD} if=$CD_DEVICE bs=2048 count=1 skip=$BOOTCATLBA | ${DD} bs=40 skip=1 count=1 | ${DD} conv=swab bs=4 count=1 of=$SCRIPTDIR/foo
    BOOTIMGLBA=`od -d $SCRIPTDIR/foo | ${AWK} '{print $2}'`
    ${ECHO} "  Reading Boot Image from LBA $BOOTIMGLBA..."
    ${DD} if=$CD_DEVICE bs=2048 count=1 skip=$BOOTIMGLBA | ${DD} bs=2048 count=1 of=$IMAGEDIR/$BOOTIMAGE
    ${RM} -f $SCRIPTDIR/fooWith the above mod, XpReburn generated an image which booted the XP Pro installer and allowed XP to be installed.

    Michael,
    Reading the submission guidelines it appears BigAdmin is for you own work:
    By submitting content to the BigAdmin portal, you are attesting that your submission is your own non-confidential property and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any party.
    Whereas my "hint" above is really a bug report / enhancement request for a Sun supplied script.
    I only have a basic support plan so don't think I can raise a bug report.
    Also:
    1) The modification listed was a quick hack to get the script to work under Sparc Solaris, but which would have caused the script to generate a non-bootable ISO if run under X86 Solaris.
    2) If you run the script on a ZFS filesystem you get an error that the filesystem isn't local - the script should be updated to consider a ZFS filesystem as local.
    3) If the script is run on a Solaris system with two optical drives, the script fails with an error because fails to correctly read the volume name of the XP CD. Can't remember the details, but just hacked the script to work.
    So, so for now will just leave the "hint" in this thread.

  • Windows ODBC Client for Timesten in Solaris Sparc

    Hello, i need help to solve this issue :
    I have a Timesten version 5.1.28 ( 32 bits) running in Solaris Sparc and a Windows 2003 server connected to the same network.
    I need to install a Timesten ODBC client in my windows 2003 server in order to get connection to my timesten database in Solaris.
    How can i get a timesten ODBC client for Windows ??
    Thanks for your Help
    Luis.

    Hi Luis,
    TimesTen 5.1 is a desupported release. If you are a licensed TimesTen customer, you need to contact the TimesTen Support team to get your issue resolved as the 5.1 release is not available for download from OTN.
    To contact the Oracle TimesTen Support team, please open a Metalink case for the TimesTen product, the product number is 1870. This will get routed to the Oracle TimesTen Support engineers.
    If you already have the Windows 5.1.28 TimesTen bits, you can do the client only installation.

  • Orion download Solaris/SPARC

    Just downloaded Orion Users Guide from
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/orion/index.html
    The Users Guide (on page 2) states that the Orion software is available for Linux/x86, Solaris/SPARC and Windows/x86.
    However only the following software files are listed on the download page:
         orion_linux_em64t.gz (767,380 bytes)
         orion10.2_linux.gz (630,354 bytes)
         orion10.2_windows.msi (7,865,856 bytes)
    Please include a link to the Solaris/SPARC version, if it exists !
    -- Peter

    You can find the Sparc downloads on the site. The problem is actually getting it to run. I've been trying to run it for some time and it keeps giving me the following error:
    Parse error: View help screen using orion -help
    although I'm 100% sure that the parameters are right. trussing shows that Orion relies on a lot more than the documentation says. I'm currently downloading Instant Client to try to satisfy the requirements (this wasn't mentioned anywhere by the way). http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/oci/instantclient/htdocs/sol64soft.html
    For example, some libraries such as libociei.so, libclntsh.so.10.1 and libociicus.so to name a few.
