Free-form adjustment to "Quick Selection Tool"
Hello,
I hope this is not one of those requests were the functionality already exists and I just can't find it.
Would it be possilble to allow for a free-form, drag with pixel level presision changes to the selection already determined by the "quick selection tool" AI. Most of the time when I use the tools, it selects 95% of what I intended but never quite right. Any further addition to the selection goes way overboard and selectes way beyond my intended precision.

The problem is when the AI determines what it thinks is the actual object but does not include the entire object. Specifically when I have a linen set that needs color adjustment to match a more true to life representation of a LCD/LED screen. Several of the images have stacked sheet sets, one on top of the other. Thet have curved edges on the vertical plane and flat on the horizonal. The AI selects most of the single object but often misses the verticle edging. When I try to add more analysis point to converge the entire object, it overestimates and grabs other sheet sets. I want to do minute additions to the edging once the AI grabs as much correctly as possible.
I hope this explains the core issue a little more.

Form adjusting depending on choice of object
Hi guys!
I am currently trying to replicate an interactive PDF-form that I have seen. It will adjust the rest of the form depending on what choice of object you choose in a drop down menu. For example, if I choose option 1, the form will turn into something that suits option 1 and if I choose option 2 the form will suddenly adjust to option 2. But I have no idea how to replicate this. I have looked at action builder but can't figure it out. Maybe it wasn't even created with Livecykle, maybe they used InDesign or something else? Maybe it requires some heavy scripting? I have no idea. Could anyone help push me into the right direction?I don't know how much you know about LiveCycle so you may need some more information, and you are a bit light-on in what you are asking for but here are some thoughts...
Make your drop-down and add your choices and in the Binding tab click "Specify Item Values".
Make two-subforms, each containing a different design.
Use the Exit option on your Drop-Down to add an if (this.rawValue == 1) choose subform1. Enter another if statement for each of your drop-down options.

If the users enter data in year total and spread it out across the months in web form if there a way in which we can restrict the values after decimal to only 2. I am on planning 9.2.

Thanks for the reply. If i set the precision for the currency values as max as 2 and i save data from the form. This precision values are not applied to the data thats stored in essbase it just for the dispay on the form is that right?

Also "class.phpmailer.php" and "xajax.inc.php" are obviously needed as well as some other files from those packages.
THE BIG PROBLEMS:
1. Adding the form to a div (into content div of Spry tabbed panels) results in wrong apearance.
Footer is put to top.
2. Adding the form to a div results in broken functions.
Buttons in the Spry tabs dont work anymore.
3. Java is messed up.
in top screen you read: printJavascript('xajax/'); ?>
in lower screen in content div: test2 test3 (text from the 2nd and 3rd Content area of Spry, just so its filled with something) and '.$form.' '; ?>
SOLUTIONS ASKED:
1. Please help me with the contact form so it will work on my page and no error remains. Im not that good in Java...
2. Please help me solving the problem with the footer. I dont have any clue anymore why this happens. And why no problems occur without the mail form.
3. Can anyone tell me why the buttons also lose function? It looks like a similar problem as the footer.

A few weeks ago i only knew html, actionscript, etc. I never worked with xhtml, javascript, css, etc. untill now.
But with some help i managed to resolve ALL problems so far, exept 2...
My site has no errors anymore all files are validated 100%!
The only 2 problems now are;
1. The use of <li> for Spry tabs. They make the buttons have a dot in front of them. I hope this can be changed into something that removes the
list dots/numbers.

-36 errors, can't copy files in finder or backup to tape drive
Does anyone know what causes -36 errors and how we can eliminate them? We need to backup our files, but have been unable to do so due to -36 I/O errors in Retrospect. Files on which this error is reported by Retrospect will not copy in the finder, either. I think our hard drive may be bad. How can we recover our files if they cannot be backed-up or copied?
We recently purchased a tape drive for backup, an Exabyte VXA-2 FireWire Tape Drive. We are using VXA-2 V23 (230m) 80GB/160/GB Data Cartridges. I have verified that this drive is supported by Retrospect and that we have the correct tape cartridge. We are backing up one partition of a hard drive that is divided into two partitions. One is the start-up partition, the other is a partition on which we store customer files. We are backing up the partition that stores customer files. The tape drive is attached to and backing up a Macintosh G3 that was recently upgraded from system 9 to OS X 10.3.9 (Panther). The hard drive was not re-formatted before OS X was installed. I have downloaded updates and updated our Retrospect to the latest Retrospect version 6.1.126. I keep getting read errors when trying to backup the customer files partition, although I have ran every good repair program I know of to that partition — TechTool, Disk Warrior and Disk Utility. The tests all say the drive is OK. The only test I have not done recently is a surface scan, as this is an over-night procedure, but plan to do it this evening. A surface scan was done at the beginning of January, but we have continued to have problems. Yesterday morning I ran Disk Utility and it verified that the partition was okay.
I am fairly certain the problem is not with the tape drive, as a test backup up of some of the problem customer files to a file backup on the startup drive also produced many -36 errors. Also the tape drive worked on another Mac with no -36 errors.

The only suggestion I have come across is to copy the files to another drive, but this is impossible because the problem files cannot be copied. If anyone has any other suggestion for fixing this, I would appreciate any input. Thanks.

I think you should do the surface scan you spoke of. What program do you use for this?
If you cannot copy a file in the Finder without an I/O error, the file is damaged or the drive had bad blocks.
Be sure you also downloaded the drivers module when you updated retrospect. -

Its HR related one, its all about configuration/settings of various appraisal templates for various reuquirements used by HR functional people in an organisation.
For add/delete field from the form - Some settings can be done by Functional people who knows the functionality of the particular template, rest are done by Technical people.
For adjust/change layout - Here also some configurational setting can be done by HR Functional people, some can be done by technical people by using BADI
Still you need more information about this do let me know, bcs recently i worked on Some BADIs for HR related Templates(appraisal)

I posted a topic a few days ago concerned a problem i was having. The problem basically was that i was calling a frame from within a frame. All that i want to be able to do with this new frame is just for displaying a picture. I want to be able to close the sub frame without closing the main frame also, this is really the aim of tis post. I did up this small example of two sperate class. glue : class that has static references to both frames
So, thanx to glue, you can access both frames from whatever place in code.

Agenda now buried in menu? Option to swap Agenda and Day buttons so that Day is buried instead?
I use the agenda view on my Z10 all the time... who wants to see hours in a day that don't have anything scheduled?
With the latest OS upgrade, the agenda view is now buried in the menu instead of being available on initial calendar screen. This is a pain in the **bleep** considering calendar is in my top two apps!

There are several ways to help you for the moment: you can create adjustment layers from the layers menu, the yin-yang like icon is the add adjustment layer icon.
In CS6, there is now an add adjustment layer panel, that lets you create an adjustment layer in one click, similar to the behavior the former adjustment panel of CS5 (the properties panel can't do that, as it might be showing you a layer mask, for instance).
Finally, many users do remap the keyboard shortcuts from the destructive adjustments to their adjustment layers counterparts, in the keyboard shortcuts sub-menu from the Edit menu.
That said, your suggestion makes sense, and I could imagine a preference that would put the destructive adjustments in a sub menu, and promote the adjustment layers, for the menu users. It would need to be carefully done, as to not break actions. You should post it on http://feedback.photoshop.com -
Layout adjustment in Forms 9i?
I have developed an ERP using Forms 9i. I have kept my development workstation on 1024x768 screen resolution. This works fine on all the clients, which have the same resolution. But, if I change resolution on my development machine to 640x480 or 600x800, all the layout in runtime gets spoiled. I have tried to set the width and height of the applet in percentage(e.g. 100%) in FormsWeb.cfg, but nothing seems to work.
I wonder if there is any way that Form layout can be set in the applet like it is done in HTML, which is very simple and straight-forward. Any help would be appreciated.Faisal,
this doesn't seem to be a problem with the Forms Applet but with the Coordinate System (property on the Forms module) you used. The default setting is point, which means that an application which has been developed for 1024x768 wont fit on 640x480 screens.
If you know that your Forms Application must work on different resolutions, then the bet option is to develop it on the smallest resolution and then check the readability with the biggest resolution.
In this case you will have to adjust font sizes only, but the application laways fits on teh screen.

How can I adjust the font size, etc., when completing a PDF form in Preview?
I would like to use Preview to fill-out or complete a PDF form. The default font that Preview uses when I begin typing in a field is too large. How can I adjust the font size. And while I'm asking, can I also adjust the font color, weight, emphasis, etc.?
Whilst in the Preview application, press "Shift - Command - A" (⇧⌘A) simultaneously to show the markup toolbar, or click View, and select "show markup toolbar". There is an icon "A" near the right hand side of the now visible markup toolbar, click this icon to reveal all the font options.

How to adjust letter (or character) spacing on PDF Form?
I am using Acrobat X Pro. On my fillable form, I would like to set the spacing between letters. As an example, if you go to the IRS.gov site and download the 1040EZ PDF form, you can see that the spacing between the digits of the social security number entry has been widened. How did they do that? I could not find it when I right clicked and selected properties.

I am designing a form with a phone number and SSN. I am overlaying small vertical lines in the field to separate the digit groupings. I just need to get it consistent and it would be nice to use a font that has a little more spacing between the letters (or a kerning adjustment).
Another forum said: "Try loading the form in LiveCycle Designer, which comes with Acrobat. If it's an XFA form (vs an AcroForms form), then you'll be able to edit the kerning in Designer."
Do I have any other alternatives besides purchasing 3rd party comb software? -
Possible to Adjust Selection to Wave Form in EM?
Is there a quick way to adjust the time slection (not clip) to the ends of a wave form? I work with long audio files that contain multiple short bits of audio. I usually end up "saving my selection as" for the individual wave forms to create new smaller files. But even using AutoMark, ai frequently get a bit more silence before or after the audio that I want. It would be helpful if I could drag to select the audio, and automatically have the ends of the highlighted time selection snap to the beginning and end of the audio. It seems like it should be simple, but I couldn't find it in the help function or on a search of the forum.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Ryan<If you are talking about Edit View, then the little yellow triangles/handles at the top and bottom of each end of the selection can be dragged, altering the selection accordingly. Zoom in for more accuracy>

Thanks for the reply. That's is my current method. But it requires me to manipulate each selection manually. I'm looking for a way to automate that to save time. I do it hundreds of times per project. Mainly I use the auto-mark function combined with the Marker List window. But I also find myself having to select/copy/paste/combine bits of audio to create the 2-5 second blurbs I need, and when that happens it would save time if I could just click a single button and have the little yellow triangles move automatically to the start and end of an audio blob.
Is there a way to do that that you know of? It would seem to me that since several features in AA can automatically detect signal thresholds (i.e. the Auto-Mark feature almost does exactly what I want...it just doesn't actually select the audio), this would be a no-brainer. That's what makes me think I just am not finding something obvious.
