Forms Central Alternative

Dear Adobe,
I am very unhappy with your decision. The last 4 months I spent building forms which I know will not be able to use anymore. In order to reduce my efforts, I have a few questions:
For each form that I generate, I have only one person filling it in. This form I export as a PDF, so that it actually looks like a person had filled in the form by hand.
- Is there an alternative that does the same? I haven't found anybody else that lets me export single-answers as PDF's that look like a filled in report
- Can I export/import my forms to another provider or do I need to do it all new?
Thank you very much and best regards,
Angelo

I am in the same boat. The I have been looking at and gathering information about the different FormCentral alternatives. Here's what I have come up with so far:
NOT EVEN A CONSIDERATION
Formstack: Out of the question. Nice product, but outrageous pricing -- $99 per month or $990 per year (5x the cost of FormsCentral) for 100 forms for their middle range plan, and nowhere near unlimited responses; their $39 per month or $390 per year beginner plan (which cost more than 2x FormsCentral) allows you a whopping grand total of 20 forms, and only 2000 submissions on a form. Ridiculous!
MIDDLING
FormBakery: You pay $9 per form, you can embed it and keep it. Site is fairly sparse on details.
Typeform: Inexpensive, but light on features. About $25 per month ($300 per year)
THE BEST OF THE BUNCH
JotForm: Pricing is comparable to FormCentral using their economy plan -- it offers unlimited Forms and 10,000 responses for $199.00 per year. Nice feature set.
Wufoo: At $249 per year, Wufoo's pricing is slightly -- but not terribly -- higher than FormsCentral, Wufoo offers the best feature set for the price. Unlimited Forms, unlimited reports, 3,000 responses (per form, I am assuming) with a five-cents overage charge per response; it also has the ability to to embed your form code into a website.
I will likely go to JotForm, though Wufoo's are tempting!

  • Does Creative Cloud have an Adobe Forms Central alternative included in it's suite?

I am an avid user of Adobe Forms Central, and also the Adobe Creative Cloud software... But haven't fully explored the Creative Cloud suite beyond what I use daily (dreamweaver, fireworks, etc.)  I was wondering if there was an alternative within the software I already have that would replace forms central.

    No.

  • How do I import multiple responses from outside Forms Central into a form at one time?

I created a survey in Word, used Adobe to make into a fillable pdf, emailed it to the prospective respondents, and I have received many emailed responses.  I have uploaded my original form to Adobe Forms and now I would like to upload those responses into Forms Central to make use of its reporting capabilities.  How can I import all of my repsonses into Forms Central?

    Hi,
I don't mean to hijack this thread, but Randy had mentioned a bug in Chrome regarding copy/paste. I've been searching for hours for a solution, but nothing on Google Chrome and c/p for the fillable area of a pdf document. Google forums have not yielded anything about fillable forms, so I'm hoping an Adobe forum would be more knowledgable.
I have a fillable form online where the fillable area cannot be pasted into or copied out of while using Google Chrome. Note that the text already on the document can be c/p'ed. You can see it here: http://www.centralcallegal.org/eictaxcampaign/Coverform.pdf   This is a form for our self-help computer kiosks which use Google Chrome. The form is designed so users can copy and paste their own info into the cover sheet so there won't be any typos.
Without looking at alternative methods of using the form (i.e. saved on desktop), is there a way to fix this copy/paste issue? It is definitely a Google Chrome issue, as c/p works fine in IE and Mozilla. Thank you.

  • Ability to edit a form created in Forms Central

When I open a form created in forms central in acrobat pro XI, how can I get permission to add a watermark?  The system says I do not have permission to make the change.  That makes sense, but can I save it in Forms Central with a password that would allow me to further edit it is Acrobat Pro XI?  Is there an alternative solution?

  • Adobe Forms Central Retirement - What Next

What software will be available to create forms when Adobe Forms Central retires in July?

    Hi Phyllis,
You'd be happy to know there are some great options out there. Adobe recommended a few alternatives in their retirement announcement, including my company, JotForm. To be completely honest, there are several reasons why JotForm is the best alternative, but I'll quickly mention two of them.
    1) Automatic, one-step import from FormsCentral. We're the only form builder to offer such an easy way to transfer all existing forms and data.
    2) Almost identical feature offering. JotForm even has a new Fillable PDF Form Creator.
Let me know if you have any questions about making the switch! Thanks.
    Cheers,

  • Best replacement for Adobe Forms Central survey functionality

I am disappointed that you are discontinuing Adobe Forms Central... Please advise of what other applications do you have that provide the abilitity to create quick surveys that I can email out and then view all of the feedback and create reports.  Thank you.

    Hi BrainTrainer,
We've included a list of FormsCentral alternatives in this document: End of support | Adobe FormsCentral.
Many customers have posted in the FormsCentral forum after doing research on those alternatives. I'll move your post to that forum, so those customers can chime in about what they feel are the best options.

  • Adobe form central shutting down.

    Hi
I am not very happy regarding the way adobe form central has been announced its shutting down, I have received no email regarding this issue only notification on log into my account.
there are no support or option to contact adobe regarding this matter.
I am a fully paid subscriber to the annual service and adobe are closing Form Central in June - My subscription is paid for a full year until dec 2015.  I expect at the very least adobe to address annual subscribers and the fact they will no longer be providing a service mid way through their paid year.  Combined with the fact i have many active forms.
The service from adobe when it comes to this sort of issue and support has been unacceptable.

    Hi!
Many competitors of FormsCentral are checking these forums to help support the displaced users. I'm among them, with JotForm. =)
Our founder wrote a review of how the closure was handled, if it's of interest:

The best news is they gave everyone six months to make alternate plans. The blog announcement includes some alternatives, which we were happy to be included on.
FormsCentral is retiring | Adobe Acrobat Blog
JotForm just announced today that we have a one-step Import Wizard, which will migrates all your Adobe forms and response data, into our system. It just takes a minute. We expect it's by far the easiest migration tool available, should you choose to use our service long term.

Best of luck finding an alternate service, and we welcome your feedback.

  • Creative Cloud and Abode forms central

I have a full creative cloud membership.
I thought Adobe forms central was a part of the creative cloud but it still only allows me to make 5 forms.
Now that AFC is being retired I would like to make more forms.

    Hello Kim!
FormsCentral is definitely putting a lot of folks in a difficult spot, but they were thoughtful enough to recommend a few alternatives to current users that can pick up right where they left off.
I work for one of them, JotForm, and we're really excited about a new import wizard that lets you effortlessly migrate ALL of your forms and data from FormsCentral in just a couple clicks.
We're affordable (free for less than 100 submissions a month), reputable, and quite simply the easiest form builder out there. We'd love it if you gave us a try
Most importantly, we're not in any danger of retiring our world-renowned form builder. You can read more about us in Sitepoint. Feel free to reach out if you need any help getting started or have any other questions!

  • I saved my Form Central spreadsheet file once as a excel file but it will not allow me to save it a second time as an excel file.  It says that I cannot complete this action because the file me be open in another application, but it is not open in another

I saved my Form Central spreadsheet file once as a excel file but Forms Central will not allow me to save the file a second time as an excel file.  I am informed that I cannot complete this action because the file me be open in another application, but it is not open in another application. What is the problem, and how do I solve the problem.  Thank you. Jeff

First check the version of the document with Jongware's script "Identify.jsx" (ExtendScript/JavaScript).
    You can find it here:
    [Ann] Identify Your InDesign File
If it is CS 5.5 or above, you need someone to open it in the version the script says and export an IDML representation from that. Another way would be to install a 30days version of CS6 or above (CC) and do it yourself.
In regards of the script showing a result for InDesign files higher than CS6:
    CS7 = CC v9
    CS8 = CC v10 = CC-2014 or CC2014.1

  • Editing a Form Central PDF in Acrobat Pro

I've created a multi-page form with F Central and need it to be editable in Acrobat Pro.  "Save a Copy" in Acrobat Pro does not remove the security and thusly the form cannot be edited.  Was I misled by Acrobat marketing and now I am stuck with a form that I can ONLY edit using Forms Central?   Can anyone help?

I don't know if I was very clear.  I want the users to fill out a form and click a button when they are done.   Then I want the result of clicking the button to be for the form to print to Adobe PDF first followed by emailing to me.  Right now the way I set the button up (below), I receive the actual form via email.
    "Actions" tab,
    "Mouse up,
        Execute a menu item
            File>Save as>PDF...
        Submit a form"
I want a non editable printed/ refried version AKA "print to Adobe PDF" on the menu items sent to me instead of the actual form.  I have searched all over but can't find if this is possible.

  • How do I buy forms central - the web site is not working, Tried the phone, thats an hour I won't get back!

Is there anyone on here that can assist in my purchase of form central. I really need this product urgently but have been trying for 2 days to purchase. I spent an hour on the phone with someone that sounded like they were in a noisy beach hut somewhere who seemed to think that it was my inability to use the site and took me through it step by step to get the same result, she then said OH, our servers are down, you can use the site for free and come back in 4 hours and they will be working  - -NOT!.
I assume Adobe actually employs someone somewhere that can help, certainly phone sales weren't interested and the phone number that came up on the dialogue box didn't connect anywhere

    Hi;
I forwarded your issue to a Support team that should reach out to you to assist.  It would be quickest if they could give you a call, if you do not have a current number listed in your Adobe account can you send me a private message through the forum with it, or just email it to me and I will forward to Support? Email [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • How can I expand text fields in my PDF file which I built in Forms Central?

I'm working in Windows 7 and just created my first form in Forms Central. I have many text fields that I intended for the end user to be able to type as much information in them as necessary. I selected the "multiple lines of text" setting for each of these fields. I was told by someone at Adobe a while back when I was trying to decide on learning LiveCycle Designer or using the much more user-friendly Forms Central that the form fields would not automatically expand in the PDF form, but that I would be able to click or drag on the fields manually to expand them so that, ultimately, they could be printed with all the comments, for however many pages it would take. I've exported my Forms Central form to a PDF file. However, when I type multiple lines of text in the form fields I set up to be "unlimited," I cannot get the form fields to expand. What have I done wrong? Help, please!

We are dealing with a similar situation.  We have downloaded LiveCycle and created the form, but as we knew would happen, the changes that come for the content of the form are causing us to max our trial version, and as soon as the form needs a change outside of the trial time period, we are faced with the next dilemma, as Adobe doesn't offer to purchase a single license at a reasonable rate.  The only reason we wanted LiveCycle was for the dynamic field feature.  I plead with you to consider offering that feature in Forms Central.  The other issue that we are having is that our users sometimes need to paste a table into the expandable text field.  Is that even possible in Live Cycle?  We don't at this point need the web-based functioning that Live Cycle offers. Thank you.
