Forms Central / Copyright & Securing Documents

@Hi there,
Forms Central
I am creating forms on Form Central (which i understand will be no longer from July 2015).
What I wanted to know if adobe is going to implement something different or will this service become completely obsolete?
I love using this. I am little disappointed it's being removed because I have only had 2 months to use it.
The templates have been really useful and it's really improved my adobe skills tremendously.
I am doing stuff I've never been able to do before.
My work looks so much more professional.
Copyright and Securing Documents
Also, would anyone be able to instruct me on how to secure pdf forms I have created to ensure that I am the only person / administrator for the form. I have in the past been taken for a ride with colleagues stealing my work and claiming as their own. This time I want to be sure I have secured all documents I have created. I am not sure how to copyright my forms and I want to ensure secure recognition for designing them.
Would someone be able to provide a step-by-step instruction showing me how to do this?
Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management
What is this?
Would this be something I have to buy and add on to my current adobe subscription?
Very warm regards,
Monique

    Hi Michelle ,
    We are extremely sorry that you have had a bad experience with Adobe .
    As far as your issue is concerned ,Acrobat generally prompts for internet connection as it is required to activate the product before you could use it comfortably .Once the product is activated or licensed you would be able to use the software offline .
    This could be the possible reason you are experiencing this .Please check if you have done so and still facing this .And if you have not ,you need to license/activate your product by typing in your credentials ,i.e Adobe ID and password .
    You could also refer the following link to get updated about the activation of your product .

  • With Forms Central can I set up a form to send out an automatic PDF document like a quote?

    With Forms Central can I set up a form to send out an automatic PDF document like a quote? In other words when my customer fills out the form and puts their email address on the form it automatically sends them a PDF quote on a piece of merchandise that I have. If not is Form Central compatible with Web Merge?

    Hi;
    At this time FormsCentral does not have the ability to send the PDF in the "Email Reciept", you can set up Email Reciepts to send the form filler a reciept with the form data, but it does not attach a PDF of the form.
    FormsCentral is not compatible with Web Merge.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • Forms central and collecting secure information.

    If I place a form using forces central on the internet via the collect responses online is it secure? I am collecting private information.

    How many active forms and number of responses are allowed in the standard Forms Central that comes with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro? Because I only have one active form with 3 responses (all are practices to figure out the program). If I delete everything, should I theoretically be able to upload a PDF into forms and collect responses for it? Or will that function still be blocked without an upgrade?
    Thanks for your help. Sorry for the long questions

  • How do I add a functional "submit button" to a pdf form in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI ? I created the pdf form in Adobe Forms Central.

    How do I add a functional "submit button" to a pdf form in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI ? I created the pdf form in Adobe Forms Central. It's for an online Diet Questionnaire. After people complete the form I'd like them to click "SUBMIT" and the completed form will be emailed to me.

    This can be a bit confusing because Acrobat 11 comes with the desktop app that allows you to create simple PDF forms without having a FormsCentral account. Some people find this helpful, but you need to understand that when you generate the PDF form, it is Reader-enabled by Acrobat. In order to edit the form further in Acrobat, you have to create a non-enabled copy of the form. You do this in Acrobat by opening the form and selecting: File > Save a Copy
    and opening the copy. It is not opened automatically.
    You can now add a button and set it up to submit by email, either using a "Submit a form" action or the submitForm JavaScript method. You can set it up to include just the form data or the entire PDF, and will want to use a mailto type URL. Submitting the form to the FormsCentral server has a number of important advantages over email (much more reliable, more secure, etc.), so you might want to consider it.
    If the form needs to be saved with Reader versions prior to 11, then you will need to Reader-enable the document. In Acrobat 11 you do this by selecting: File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools

    Hi Rob,
    I've inspected your form and there is indeed a bug on our side that is preventing the form from opening. While it will take a few days to fix the underlying bug, one of my colleagues is going to manually fix your document so that you can open it. As it's a non-trivial manual process to fix the document we were just going to do the first one (*w8D2jaFehMI2LPf3x29HA). Or do you need both? We'll report back here as soon as we're done.
    For future issues that you encounter, please note that this forum is read directly by the FormsCentral engineering team and is the best way to obtain support on technical issues with FormsCentral. Your previous queries were in this forum and that's how they ended up being handled by Todd, who was the engineering manager at the time. As you can imagine, the number of support requests has grown past the ability of the engineering team to handle on our own. As such, we need Adobe Tech Support to help us, and they're working very hard to become more and more proficient in handling first-line requests.
    Thanks,
    Shannon

  • Editing a secured document

    When I save my form's central document as a PDF. It will not let me edit. A pop up tells me This is a secured document. Editing is not permitted. What do I do to allow editing?

  • Is Forms Central a "Cloud"-based service?

    I am a sole proprietor. I'm considering using Forms Central to create and upload to my website the intake documents for new clients to fill out prior to intake appointment.  In order to receive their completed forms, will I need to subscribe to this service indefinitely?  If so, how secure are the forms "in the cloud"-- meaning, will I be the only one looking at them? Thanks!

    Yes, it is a cloud based service. You have complete control over your data.

  • I saved my Form Central spreadsheet file once as a excel file but it will not allow me to save it a second time as an excel file.  It says that I cannot complete this action because the file me be open in another application, but it is not open in another

    I saved my Form Central spreadsheet file once as a excel file but Forms Central will not allow me to save the file a second time as an excel file.  I am informed that I cannot complete this action because the file me be open in another application, but it is not open in another application. What is the problem, and how do I solve the problem.  Thank you. Jeff

    First check the version of the document with Jongware's script "Identify.jsx" (ExtendScript/JavaScript).
    You can find it here:
    [Ann] Identify Your InDesign File
    If it is CS 5.5 or above, you need someone to open it in the version the script says and export an IDML representation from that. Another way would be to install a 30days version of CS6 or above (CC) and do it yourself.
    In regards of the script showing a result for InDesign files higher than CS6:
    CS7 = CC v9
    CS8 = CC v10 = CC-2014 or CC2014.1

  • Editing a Form Central PDF in Acrobat Pro

    I've created a multi-page form with F Central and need it to be editable in Acrobat Pro.  "Save a Copy" in Acrobat Pro does not remove the security and thusly the form cannot be edited.  Was I misled by Acrobat marketing and now I am stuck with a form that I can ONLY edit using Forms Central?   Can anyone help?

    I don't know if I was very clear.  I want the users to fill out a form and click a button when they are done.   Then I want the result of clicking the button to be for the form to print to Adobe PDF first followed by emailing to me.  Right now the way I set the button up (below), I receive the actual form via email.
    "Actions" tab,
    "Mouse up,
        Execute a menu item
            File>Save as>PDF...
        Submit a form"
    I want a non editable printed/ refried version AKA "print to Adobe PDF" on the menu items sent to me instead of the actual form.  I have searched all over but can't find if this is possible.

  • How do I import multiple responses from outside Forms Central into a form at one time?

    I created a survey in Word, used Adobe to make into a fillable pdf, emailed it to the prospective respondents, and I have received many emailed responses.  I have uploaded my original form to Adobe Forms and now I would like to upload those responses into Forms Central to make use of its reporting capabilities.  How can I import all of my repsonses into Forms Central?

    Hi,
    I don't mean to hijack this thread, but Randy had mentioned a bug in Chrome regarding copy/paste. I've been searching for hours for a solution, but nothing on Google Chrome and c/p for the fillable area of a pdf document. Google forums have not yielded anything about fillable forms, so I'm hoping an Adobe forum would be more knowledgable.
    I have a fillable form online where the fillable area cannot be pasted into or copied out of while using Google Chrome. Note that the text already on the document can be c/p'ed. You can see it here: http://www.centralcallegal.org/eictaxcampaign/Coverform.pdf   This is a form for our self-help computer kiosks which use Google Chrome. The form is designed so users can copy and paste their own info into the cover sheet so there won't be any typos.
    Without looking at alternative methods of using the form (i.e. saved on desktop), is there a way to fix this copy/paste issue? It is definitely a Google Chrome issue, as c/p works fine in IE and Mozilla. Thank you.

  • How do I open a secure document in Adobe reader using my iPhone 5

    I Am trying to pay a bill using adobe reader. I understand how to open a document from my emails with the app, but once I open the document in Adobe reader it is still secured and will not let me enter in my account  info to pay the bill. How can this be fix?

    Adobe Reader mobile products (Reader for iOS, Reader for Android, etc.) do not support commenting or form filling with secured (hence, encrypted) PDF documents.
    Please use the desktop version of Adobe Reader on your Windows or Mac computer to fill in the secured PDF form.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Problem with Submit Button in Adobe Forms Central

    I have a PDF form that I uploaded to Adobe Forms Central.  I created the fillable fields & the submit button in Forms Central.  I have several documents like this.  All have worked in the past.  Today on my latest file, the submit button doesn't always work.  I am getting some submissions, but some people have reported to me that the submit button does not work.  I tested it myself to see.  I had to create a Digital ID for myself, which seemed to work fine.  But when I click on submit, the form says "Submission Failed.  This form can no longer be submitted. Please contact the author."  I'm the author & don't know what the problem is.  Anyone know what the problem could be?

    The form is open. I should have mentioned that I made sure to check that first.  The form was created by uploading an existing PDF file that I created from a MS Word file to Adobe FormsCentral. Once the form was completed, I had a coworker test it & it worked.  We sent the form out & I have received some back, but have also received reports of the form not working.  I downloaded the form to my computer & tested it using Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Standard.  I use a Windows environment on a Dell laptop.  The form does not work for me.
