Forms Deployment: Location of the Templates\Release directory

Hi everybody,
I would like to deploy my Forms 6i application using the Oracle
Installer. I have created the scripts (*.map, *.vrf, etc.) using
Project Builder.
The Forms documentation ("Managing Your Applications") talks
about copying the contents of the Templates\Release directory
from the Oracle CD, but I could not find this directory in the
6i CD.
I downloaded both the D2K 2.1 & 6i Patch Sets from Oracle's FTP
site, but no luck there too.
Is there some other location that I should be looking at?
Any help would be most welcome.
Thanks and regards,
Rajesh Jayaprakash

  • Is it possible to change the location of the user component directory in TS4.0

    I would like to override the default location of the user component directory to a network drive / source control file system, in order to execute my own loginlogout sequence without having to deploy any files locally. is this doable in TS 4.0? If so how?

    Hi freak,
    Unfortunately what you are trying to accomplish is not entirely possible.
    You can move your user components directory to a network drive and then add a search directory and point it to that location. And then you can set that to a higher priority than the NI and User components folders so that location gets searched first.
    However, the issue is some components need to be in a certain local location in either the NI or the User components folder and TestStand will not look in other locations for them. This includes the languages and the icons, and more importantly the FrontEnd and Station Callbacks. And the FrontEndCallbacks.seq file is the file that contains the login/logout steps and TestStand will not look in a different  search directory for them.
    Hope this answers your question.

  • PTools Installation - Location of the Connectivity Program Directory?

    After installing Oracle 10g, I have three BIN folders:
    c:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\BIN (contains 274 files)
    c:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\BIN (contains 495 files)
    c:\Program Files\Oracle\bin (contains only regsrvr32.exe)
    Which is the path that should be entered for the install window that asks the location of the Connectivity Program Directory?
    I think it should be c:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\BIN, because the three .ora files are in the directory structure under client_1, not db_1, and the window is asking for the **client** connectivity - am I right?

    This is intended to be a development environment, with all software and the database on one machine.
    Regarding the multiple directories, I installed both the oracle 10g database and the 10g client. Is it true that I don't need the client? Should I uninstall the client? Currently I believe that it's the client software that's running when I connect to the database via sqlplus, but I think that's because I installed the client after installing the database, and the client directory is first in my PATH variable.
    Also, I'm not sure what this means: "verify you have your database entry in the corresponding ORACLE_HOME/network/admin directory" My database name has entries in the .ora files under both the client_1 and db_1 structures.

  • How to display an image located in the WEB-INF directory?

    Basically, When a user registers, they a directory is created with their username that holds images that they can upload. How do I display those images. All I am holding in the database is the location of the images.
    ive tried
    <img src="/WEB-INF/users/testuser/picture.jpg" />
    but this doesnt work and for obvious security reasons shouldnt.. but is there another way of doing what i want to do? perhaps a custom tag? thanks
    Jazz

    You would have to write a generic servlet that would return an image
    <img src="/getImage?user=testuser&pic=picture.jpg" />Your servlet would basically fetch the file from under web-inf, and then stream it back to the user.
    Methods to use:
    servletContext.getRealPath() (to help find the file on disk), relative to your web app
    getOutputStream (as opposed to getWriter)
    It is only in this way that you can access files on the server outside of the public web directories.
    Hope this helps

  • How can I change the default "Print to File" location from the Mozilla Firefox directory?

    I have looked all over the Internet to find the solution to change the default of the location Firefox create the files created from the Print to File option. I have modified all of the instances of "print_to_filename" as one forum suggested. But, that was unsuccessful.

    Autre façon : Ouvre un nouveau document. Il va être en A4. Dans le menu Fichier--->Format d'impression. Une fenêtre apparaît. Dans la ligne... Taille du papier, tu choisis... Lettre US; tu fais OK.

  • In Oracle Forms 10g, what is the best approach in read an excel file (csv)?

    Hi All!
    Could someone please advise me on what is the best way for an oracle form reading and extracting data from an excel spreadsheet (csv) that is located in the local drive directory.
    Someone had already advised me to use TEXT_IO function or use a javabean through the Implementation Class property.
    I'd really appreciate it if someone can give me insights.
    Thanks! beeals

    Other approach to load a CSV file, you can use EXTERNAL TABLES. SQL Reference manual has examples.

  • Deployment location in OWB 10.2.1.

    Hi ,
    I have installed the OWB 10.2.1 on Windows XP Platform successfully. I had an export file done in the previous version 10.1.4 and import it - migrating beforehand the import- to the new version. Everything was OK , except for just a warning about the difference between the base language on the export file and the new OWB installation.
    When i try to deploy a mapping , i get the error message RTC-5272: There are invalid target locations DEPLOYMENT LOCATION.
    There are one or more locations specified as deployment locations that are either of type database or are source locations.
    Where are defined these deployment locations.... as this new OWB version is slightly to much different to the previous version.... Is it under the Configurations directory...in thw OWB client Tool environment????
    I haven't found any property value database or source location regarding the deployment location.
    What can I do in order to disassociate the deployment locations from the objects - as OWB points out...?????
    Regards,
    Simon

    I got this same error after importing projects. This is what I did to resolve:
    My "location" was brought over when I did the import. But the properties were not set on the "location". I had to go to the "Connection Center" and set the properties for my "location". Basically, I had to set the username/pwd, node, port, service name, etc. After this, I was able to deploy.

  • Physical location where the soa jar(ex sca_SomePrj_rev1.0.jar) is uploaded

    Hi
    I had configured SOA environment in my system.
    I just want to know what is the physical location where the project soa jar is uploaded to the weblogic.
    I could find the jar in deploy location of the workspace, but that jar is uploaded somewhere during deployment in the weblogic domain or somewhere. Where is it?
    I searched my entire domain, but could not find it out.
    Is it jar'ed into some other jar, or by any chance, uploaded to the soa related tables in db(as a blob)?
    Regards
    RaviKiran.

    Hi Kalyan,
    Thanks for the reply.
    What I mean is, say a composite has a bpel component, a mediator and some xsd/xsl files.
    Now, all these are made to a jar, and deployed to the soa server.
    What I want to know is, after deployment, where can i find that xsd/xsl/.bpel/.mplan file that I used, in the server?
    Like in a webapp, they are uploaded to a particular file directory. In case of SOA, where are the files loaded? Is the jar loaded as it is and exploded at some location in the server, or, are the individual files uploaded to particular places in the server directory structure?
    Because, I've searched for these files in the server physical location, and i couldn't find any(except one wsdl per composite ). So what i thought is, they were uploaded to the db schema soa_infra as blobs.

  • Location of the Deployment Directory for embedded OC4J

    Hi,
    Apologies first off if this is a tres thick question. I am developing an application in J2EE using JDeveloper 9.0.3 and the embedded 0C4J server as my app server. I am wanting to use JProbe to profile my code. It asks for the location of the deployment directory. I've had a look on the internet and can't for the life of me see where the compiled/packege files are deployed to.
    Does this directory exist and if so, whereabout's is it?
    Thanks for your help (sorry if I'm being stupid).

    The deployment directory in which the OC4J embedded server applications are deployed is
    <JDeveloper 10.1.3>\jdev\mywork\<Application>\<Project>\deploy

  • How to enable Forms to locate icons deployed using OC4J Instance?

    I am using Forms 9i Builder.
    I would like to create a pictured Push Button.
    I create a Push Button with Property Palette as follows:
    Iconic: Yes
    Icon Filename: bell.jpg
    I can neither see the icons on the button in the Layout Editor, nor during run-time when it is deployed on OC4J Instance.
    How can I set the icons path in Forms Builder and deplyed on OC4J?

    Hi,
    the icon name should be without the .jpg extensions. The Forms Developer environment doesn't show jpg icons in any release before 10g (9.0.4). See the documentation og 10g on how to point it to the files.
    For deployment, the default configuration for icons is .gif. You change it in the file registry.dat located in the forms90/java/registry directory
    For deploying icons in Forms, see the whitepaper "Oracle9i Forms: How to Deploy Icons" located at otn.oracle.com/products/forms --> Forms 9i Collateral. This paper is still valid for Forms 10g.

  • Why after referenced dll files to my project they are not on my release directory when i build the project ?

    This is a screenshot of my visual studio csharp the References and properties part of the dll's:
    You can see on the right the 3 problem files are the directx dll files.
    When my brother is running the program he get exception say one or more of the dll files is not found.
    I sent him the 3 dll files he tried to put them from where he was running the program he also tried to put them at the directory they are in my place: C:\Temp\radarscan\dlls\DLL'S\Microsoft.DirectX.DLL
    He created this directory and put them there but it didn't help.
    I was sure once i referenced the dll files they are in my program no need to have them. And at least to have them in the directory where you running the program from but it's not working.
    What i want is that my brother and anyone else that will run the program will not need the dll files on his pc and if he does need them so to have them in the directory where you are running the program from will be enough. How can i solve it ?

    Still not working. Tried Samir solution but same problem my brother on his computer getting exception:
    This is the code the line where the exception happen 142:
    private void ScanClouds_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    Boolean bl = InitializeDirectX();
    if (bl == false)
    MessageBox.Show("Error initializing directX!");
    Application.Exit();
    And in the method init:
    private Boolean InitializeDirectX()

    D3Dpp.BackBufferFormat = DispMode.Format;

    CreateFlags.SoftwareVertexProcessing, D3Dpp);

    D3Ddev.RenderState.Lighting = false;
    D3Ddev.RenderState.CullMode = Cull.CounterClockwise;

    //panelTexture = Texture.FromBitmap(D3Ddev, imagesBmp, Usage.Dynamic, Pool.Default)
    backTexture = TextureLoader.FromStream(D3Ddev, mymem);
    //scannerTexture = TextureLoader.FromFile(D3Ddev, @"D:\Buttons\Radar\radar.png");
    scannedCloudsTexture = new Texture(D3Ddev, 512, 512, 1, Usage.Dynamic, Format.A8R8G8B8, Pool.Default);
    //sprite is used to draw the texture
    D3Dsprite = new Sprite(D3Ddev);
    return true;
    catch
    return false;
    The 3 dll files are: Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.DLL, Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3DX.DLL, Microsoft.DirectX.DLL
    The question is why he is getting this exception ? Realy it dosent see/find the dll files ? Or maybe his machine not supporting this directx files ? Strange.
    Another thing when i put my mouse on the hard disk on the dll files i see a baloon tip say the:
    File description: Microsoft Managed Direct3D Debug
    Maybe the problem is that the dll files of the directx belong to the debug directory but i make my program to be build in the release directory ?
    In any case i can't find any solution yet. This is the exception message:
    System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3DX.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found.

  • Warning EJB EJB Deployment: Fnv cannot be redeployed while the server is running. de.dr_staedtler.extern.audi.fnv.data.ejb.FnvBean is located in the server's classpath.

    Hi,
    i have developed some EJB, that are dependent from each others.
    So I set the classpath to a lib-directory with my EJB.
    When i try to deploy, i become a warning
    <Warning> <EJB> <EJB Deployment: Fnv cannot be redeployed while the server is

    But the EJB's are deployed and the client can connect it.
    Why is the warning? It is important or I can ignore it?
    Thanks for your time.

    It means that bean classes are in the system classpath and therefore
    cannot be reloaded. If you do not plan on hot-redeploying your beans
    you can ignore this message.

  • I want to create a fillable form using the templates that were in adobe acrobat

    Hi all,
    I am having trouble finding the templates that were offered in the previous version of Adobe. Before, when I wanted to create a form, I could simply click "create form" select from template, and I had access to dozens of varieties of forms. Now when I try the same thing, it only lets me scan in a paper form. I don't have a paper form. That's why I'm trying to make one.
    Any advice would be appreciated, I have tried to search for my question but the help function keeps redirecting me back to "how to prepare a fillable form" and tells me to use a paper document. Why did this simple task become so difficult all of a sudden?
    Thanks in advance,
    Kind regards
    Michael

    That was the FormsCentral designer software. Adobe has decided to discontinue FormsCentral, so it wasn't included with Acrobat DC.
    The usual way to create a form in Acrobat is to create the layout in a program such as InDesign or Word and create a PDF. You can then add the fields in Acrobat, which can attempt to automatically add fields where it thinks they belong.

  • Adding Form pages via JS and templates. Stop text from copying to the new page

    Hello Community,
    Over the past few days I've been getting a crash course in Adobe acrobat, and JavaScript. One of our clients asked us to make a PDF form with fillable fields, and a button that will make a new copy of the form.
    I have the text fields, template, and javascript for the button to load the template.
    My problem is that text in the fields on the first page is being copied to the additional pages when they are made.
    I have been doing a ton of research and found a lot of answerrs talking about having the fields renamed. I have included the bRename part to my JS, and the text fields show that they are a differnet name, but it still pulls the data from the first page.
    here is the script I am using. I am also runing Acrobat X standard.
    var a = this.getTemplate("New Page");
    a.spawn({bRename: true});
    Any suggestions would be a huge help. I can provide any additional info needed.

    You can reset the fields on the newly created page. All of the fields on the page will have the prefix "Pn" where n is the page number of the newly created page. Since your code adds the page at the end, the code to reset the fields that you can use after the code that spawns the template can be:
    resetForm(["P" + (numPages - 1)]);
