Forms don't view properly with Reader on Windows

I recently made a PDF form on my Mac with InDesign CS3 and Acrobat 8. My client opens it up in Preview on Mac, fills out the fields on the form, and sends the filled out form to her clients. It views and prints fine on her end, as well as anyone who receives it on a Mac and opens it in Preview or Reader, but recipients using Windows on a PC get a form with only blank areas where all the filled in fields are.
Can anyone suggest how I can fix this situation? Thanks!

This is a known problem when Preview is used to fill and save a PDF form. Preview has limited support for forms and in fact corrupts them when it saves. More information is available here: http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/885/cpsid_88564.html

PDF created with Onenote not viewing properly with reader XI

A PDF was created by Onenote export to PDF. The screen clippings are gray boxes. When viewed with the preinstalled (MS ?) reader app it views normal. I am using Adobe Reader XI, Windows 8.1, Onenote 2013.

Well, since I fixed it in Chrome, it works for me. However, my partner beside me doesn't have Chrome and he gets the same generic screenshot that I had earlier, even though we made the changes in his Firefox. We're baffled...... The interactive form is the only form we can't pull.

WEB Forms do not display properly with windows 95 LARGE fonts desktop setting

Hi,
We are using WEB forms 6.0 patch level 6 (We tried 6i but had too many bugs with it, we prefer to wait until at least a couple of patches are out, installation was a VERY painful experience for us)
We still have the following problem with WEB FORMS deployed on win95 desktops with LARGE FONTS destktop settings: The forms are not displayed correctly, sometimes there are no scroll bars, resizing a window gives weird results, part of the forms become inaccesible, some forms are blank, etc...
Can you verify or confirm that you have the same kind of problems ? We use jinitiator 1.1.18.
Is it fixed with 6i ? Is it fixed wit jinit 1.1.27 ?
We develop in smal fonts on win95 and recompile under solaris before deploying.

Thank you all for your fast asnwers. The "Use hardware acceleration when available" was the problem, I disabled it and I will post a message on my site about this.
The site is on-line in the same aspect since 2005, modifiyng the whole site to fit with Firefox11's default setting is not a good option. At that moment, placing a tabel (alligned to the center of the page) and puting in it the thumbnails with links generated by ExpressThumbnailCreator, than manually adding the description in the HTML view of FrontPage was the simplyest way possible to make the site appear properly on my 800*600 px resolution I used then. Of course, I upgraded my hardware and software since then, but the site remained mostly unchanged (except the index and a few files). I know it's time for a new version of the site but... my web-design knowledges are limited to basic HTML.

Google maps don't work properly with ADF

I have tried to integrate Google maps with ADF http://blogs.oracle.com/middleware/2010/06/integrating_google_maps_with_adf.html. This tutorial works good, but then I insert the same code in real ADF application Google maps don’t work properly, there are problems with zoom buttons, map doesn’t display right region but shows another one (does it with offset) etc.
Can be this issues connected with ADF Security? Or there are some other things in my project which doesn’t allow JavaScript to work correctly?

I just tried the tutorial (works fine) and the tutorial with ADF security (works fine). It seems to be something more specific to your application than anything else.

Creative ASIO drivers don't work properly with Cubase LE or WaveLab6

It seems that there is some problematic "interaction" between the Creative X-Fi Elite Pro sound card with the ASIO-driver based Audio Creation Mode console (ACMC) and "connected" ASIO applications like WaveLab 6 or Cubase LE.
I was using the SPDIF output from a DVD player. I created a audio PCM wav file at 24 bit/96 kHz with every sample in both left and right channels being identical with alternate bits set in each sample like so:

When I record this SPDIF input stream with X-Fi Elite pro SPDIF-in using the RECORD section of ACMC with Bit-Accurate record mode set, the resultant recorded file is bit for bit identical to the source as expected. Great!
However when I record using Cubase LE and a project with 96 kHz sampling rate in a stereo channel with only the ASIO SPDIF L and R channels enabled, (keeping the ACMC with identical settings in the backgroun) the resultant wave file has lots of "noise" in the lowest 8 bits or so, almost like it was dithered. The same thing happens when I record using WaveLab 6.
So this seems to mean that somehow Creative's use of the ASIO driver in ACMC is not "sharing" the ASIO input bus signal properly with ASIO apps like CubaseLE and WaveLab6. For sure, the 24 bit audio recorded by Cubase or WaveLab6 is not "bit accurate" to the SPDIF input signal. I wonder what this means for the accuracy of details in recordings made with Cubase LE or WaveLab via Creative's ASIO driver??

selling my xtremegamer and buying an asus xonar dx card, hopefully that works fine. asus seems to at least update their drivers on a regular basis. I mean, the latest win 7 creative drivers are from '09...

Acrobat Form Submit button not working with Reader

I created a form using Acrobat Pro 9 with a submit button function. When I email the form to users they are only allowed to submit the form if they have Acrobat Standard or Pro. For users that have Acrobat Reader they are able to open complete the fields and print the document but are unable to use the submit function. They receive the following message "This operation is not permitted".
I need all Adobe users including Reader to be able to submit this form. How do I fix this?

You need to Reader-enable the form in Acrobat by selecting: Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader
This is because the form needs to be saved before it is attached to an email, and Reader normally cannot save a modified form. Reader 11 is able to save a modified form, however.

Trip form - Warning PageBuilder will run with wrong client window ID"

Dear All,
I am getting following warning message before opening Trop form.
"error starting iView webdynpro PageBuilder will run with wrong client window ID"
If we click on OK button, the pdf form ets opened correctly.
How to remove this warning ?

We ran into the exact problem when opening a PCR form from the "Status Overview" iView in MSS.

This applies if you have one of the following versions and an iView is launched in a new window:
- NW04s SP15
- EhP1

IPod Touch: apps (facebook, twitter, facetime) don't work properly with my wireless internet having worked perfectly before. Help needed!

I got my iPod Touch 4g for Christmas 2011 and for the first 2 weeks everything worked fine - I could download apps; use apps to their full potential; use FaceTime; use everything.
But after the two weeks, the iPod decided to no longer work as well as it had promised. First of all, it would take more than 2 hours to download a single app from the app store and then, straight after that, I couldn't connect to FaceTime (it had worked perfectly before). Then, finally, to top it all off - Facebook and Twitter stopped working on occasions. For example, I couldn't post/send messages or photos on Twitter and at the majority of the time, the News Feeds wouldn't load.
Sometimes everything works but most of the time it doesn't. I've tried my iPod at every time of the day and it makes no difference - nothing still works! Also, I don't think it is the fault of my wireless internet because I've had an iPod touch before and it worked perfectly, and the laptop that I am writing this question on also works perfectly with wifi.
The weird thing is that I have used my iPod to its full potential (everything worked fine) at my friends hosue on multiple occasions - using his wifi. I am really lost for ideas for what to do - I have uninstalled all the apps that don't work with the internet (facebook, twitter) and have always made sure that I have closed apps after using them, so that my iPod wouldn't run slow.
My iPod has been like this for over a month now, help would be appreciated

WEB Application security don't work properly with adf faces

We introduce conventional web security in our java ee application integrating ui as adf faces.
We got problem when we access protected jspx document. It seem the container don't ask the user to log on when the page did not contains any link with the model (page definitions i think). It seem that the container react lately too, after displaying part of the screen.
For example:
We have an application with a home page with two tabs representing our applications.
The home page is an unprotected directory.
The both applications home pages are in protected directories.
The both applications home pages did not contains any link to the model. Some text are displayed in showDetailHeader, panelHeader, etc
Whe we start the application, the home page is displayed. The infoUser part on the panelPage indicate that nobody is authenticated. All is fine.
When we click on the first tab representing the first application, the page is displayed and the containes don't ask to login. The page is into a protected directory. When we click on showDetailHeader, nothing is done, the content still disclosed.
When click on a menu that load a page that reference to the model part (page definitions exists), the container ask to login. After a sucessfully login, all pages are accessible, showDetailHeader work properly, infoUser part is loaded with the username for the authenticated session.
Is this due to a bug ?
Is this due to a bad design or an error in our development ?
Note that we didn't implement since yet the adf security layer may be it will solve this problem.

VS don't work properly with SBO

I need help. I develop an add-on with VS 2005. At beginning it's worked very good. To day i have modified my code in adding the CFL code in my item event. When i want to test my add-on my form load correctly but all my code in item event don't work. I have deleted the CFL code but it's the same thing. I don't know if it's my VS2005 because when i want to open my project property it's don't open.

Streaming videos don't play properly with Adobe flash player 10.1

After I updated Adobe flash player I noticed that videos I streamed did not play correctly. A video will begin to play but part way through it will freeze. It will indicate that it is buffering but it never finishes buffering and never continues to play, even if I refresh it. This occurs for several sites such as youtube, megavideo, and wisevid. This occurs for every browser I have tried (Firefox, IE, and Opera.) I also realized today that now iTunes cannot not download video either. When I try it says that parts of the files seem to be corrupted. I have uninstalled and reinstalled flash several times but that has not helped. I am using Adobe 10.1 (under version test it says it is WIN 10,1,53,64) and I have Windows 7. I'm not sure if my computer is 32-bit or 64-bit. I don't know how to check this. Please help me with this. I have been trying to fix this for days and nothing has helped. Thanks.

to check your computer configuration, right click on mycomputer and click on properties.
There you can see if its 32 or 64 bit.
But as the flash player is working fine on IE, i assume its 32 bit.
Even i use the same configuration and its working fine on all browsers.
Is it a specific video you are trying to load?
Are you sure about your internet connection speed?

My multimeters don't function properly with ivi drivers

I have 4 Keithley MM in my setup. I am using the ke2000.dll ivi drivers for all my meters. I have also labeled each meter MM1..MM4, however when I make a call using MM1, MM3 is the one being control? How can I configure MAX properly to avoid this or is it unavoidable?

Did you download the driver from the National Instruments web site, or did you get it from Keithley?
Which GPIB board do you have?
If you are using NI IVI driver or board, you should post this question to the GPIB forum to find out how to configure the driver in MAX.

Itunes Store not viewing properly with 9.0.2 upgrade

I recently upgraded to 9.0.2 and now when I go to the itunes store it shows up with the wrong or incorrect front-end display like I'm looking at a basic html page with a few images and buttons. I've upgraded Safari, Quicktime, and everything I can think of however, I am running on OS 10.4.11. My connection speed is very fast so that would not be the issue. What else can I do to fix this? Could it be a firewall issue? A friend of mine that works for the same company and has the same sytem is experiencing the same problem. Other people who have not updated to 9.0.2 are still able to use the itunes store normally. Anyone have any ideas?

Safari 4.0.x is required to access the iTunes Store using iTunes 9.0.2.

Maverick don't work properly with java app

I've upgraded from lion to maverick today and had to install java again. Now one of my java apps starts just like it were before, but can't see any files throught "browse" button. It shows some folders and devices without icons (just title), and don't show other files at all (no icons, no titles). Since this app is critical for my business, I'll sell macbook if I won't fix it. How can I solve it? Can I downgrade to lion?
