Forms have a background colour in fields in don't like.

I've designed a form in InDesign which I have illustrated round corner rectangles for data entry points. The form template is exported to PDF, opened in Acrobat and fields are created to match the form Items and Rectangles. Unfortunately Acrobat insists on colouring the fields with light blue colouring — all except for the field which is in focus. I've set the fill and stroke to non-print.
Anything else I can do, these field colourings clash with the round corner rectangles I designed to take the data?
Seems a bit draconian to me if one can't have a field as blank box… after all even if they were totally invisible the Tab key would still cycle through.
PDF with fields
*What is a real hoot is that if you click the linked file it shows in Safari without the shading on the boxes. Shading is there in Adobe Reader though which is how people will view file as part of distribute and receive via email.

It says Highlight fields. But it toggles. Click on it if they are highlighted and they go away. Must be using at least Readr 7 in order to have this.

The blue background is the field highlighting that you have the option of turning off. If you don't see the purple bar on top with Highlight Fields toggle button, it should displayed by clicking the top icon (purplish) in the navigation pane on the left

I'm wondering if its possible to have the colour of the field that uses the above script, change based on the entry. E.g. If the answer is Low; make the background colour Green; if its Moderate, make it orange etc.?
I know its a big ask but thought I would check.

One approach would be to have access to a Mac that can run the classic environment or has a pre OS X native installation. These should be able to read the files for dates of creation/modification. There is also SheepShaver that runs on OS X machines.

Skin - Background colour of fields

Hi,
we use in CRM70 as Skin a copy of NOVA.
I have the requirement to mark to fields in BP_HEAD in red.
This shall be in edit mode as well as in display mode.
Is it possible to change the background colour of specific fields?
Any ideas on this?

I am totally frustrated with Firefox and would like to know how to uninstall it. I am getting obscene pop-ups, and when I ask for specific information, other unrelated information pops us. I have had this for one day and don't like it.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.<br />
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.<br />

This should be easy! How can I change the background colour of my fields?

Apologies if this has already been posted but nothing has come up via Google nor the Forum search.
I'm sure this should be easy but it's really doing my head in!
I have a number of textboxes, dropdown lists, etc within my form - I have set Custom backgrounds on each which are visible within Design View. However, in Preview PDF all the fields have a default blue colour and only change to my Custom backgrounds when you enter the field.
Is there a way of removing the default colouring of fields so that it's the same as my Custom backgrounds? My Custom backgrounds are 'linear to bottom' so I don't want to just set border.fill.color to one colour.

Hi,
If you include this Javascript in the docReady event of the root node (default "form1").
app.runtimeHighlight = false;
This will turn off the field highlight. It doesn't prevent the user from turning back on the highlight, but it will mean that your form opens with the highlight off.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO SET DIFFERENT BACKGROUND COLOUR OF THE TEXT ITEM OF A DATA BLOCK ACCORDING TO THE VALUE INSIDE THE ITEM?

In Forms 4.5 - Use the DISPLAY_ITEM built in on the POST_QUERY trigger to set records to certain colours based on their values.
In Forms 6.0, 6i - Use the new SET_ITEM_INSTANCE_PROPERTY.
Have a look at their use in the forms help.

Changing background colour of W995 (when you don't have wallpaper)?

If i set my phone to have no wallpaper the background colour for the main screen is grey. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does anyone know how to change this to black? I think it was black to start with but somehow it got changed and I can't see a straightforward way of setting it back to black using the Display options because on my phone (W995) there is option here for colour change.

What I really want to do is to set the background to black, then have a picture that i've taken in landscape as my wallpaper. Because it's in landscape some of the background is still seen at the top and bottom and i want this to be black rather than grey. I'm sure it was before, I just find it crazy that it has changed and there is no easy or obvious way to change it back - especially as the default setting must have been black. I tried doing a reset of setting but it still came up as grey, even though I had to reset the time and date and so on.
I wish they just had a menu so you could select a background colour, but it seems that doesn't exist. Sorry to be seeming so difficult, because I appreciate your suggestions - I should have explained before that it isn't so much that I want a black wallpaper as a black background to put an image on top of as wallpaper.

Yes, one needs to use some custom JavaScript code to control the other fields' properties.

Can fields on a form have an editor to expand....

A co-worker informed me that in Oracle forms you can have a relatively large database field but display it on the form as a smaller field with an editor capability that will allow the user to expand the view of the field when displaying/modifying the form.
Is it possible to put an editor on a field in APEX much the same way as Oracle forms?

What version of Reader are they using, exactly? And are you sure they're
using Reader itself and not opening the file inside a browser window, for

I am publishing my project to html, but wish to change the background colour of the html page to match the projects colour scheme.
I can find no option in Captivate to do this, and it is always output as white = <body bgcolor="#f5f4f1">
I change the colours used within captivate and change the html colour of the borders, or the captivate project background, but this does not effect the html page when published.
Is this possible?
At present I am having to manual amend the html to the colour of my choice.

Can you post a screen grab of what you are seeing? The instructions Orange_Sean provided should have done the trick for you. Even though you aren't using Borders, it still should have changed the HTML background color. Unless we have unearthed a bug or something.
